Over the next six weeks, an array of singers will be taking to the stage

fighting for a place in our Grand Final.

But this is no ordinary singing competition

because judging them are this lot.

This is The 100,

a mix of great singers from across the UK with one very important role.

If any of them love a contestant's performance they can get up and join

in singing and the more who join in the higher the contestant's scores.

My job is very, or can be, very stressful.

However, I just find that, you know, when I do music,

it's a release for me.

When I first started singing, especially in front of audiences,

this was done in church,

and in church it's very much about getting people involved,

singing along with you to just kind of bring everybody's spirits up

and I feel like that's what drew me to this competition.

That 61 is a good score.

I'm hoping that by the end of my performance that I'm going to

have 100 people up singing along with me.

bit incidental and I have to be very, very quiet, but for this

particular performance I'm going to be able to let rip and I'm going to.

I'm a West End performer and I'm from Birmingham.

I've been trained professionally and I've been lucky enough to

be in West End shows such as Dancing In The Street playing Stevie Wonder.

Sister Act with Whoopi Goldberg. That was amazing.

And I've also done Hairspray as well.

It's great because you get to exercise your triple-threat ability.

Waa-ta! Acting, singing and dancing.

There's nothing more refreshing and phenomenal than a unique tone

with that energy and that power behind it.

I want them to get me off my seat.

Not just off my seat. I want to be dancing on my seat.

I want them to make me go crazy.

My name's Georg, and I'm a teacher at the world-famous Brit School.

My job here is to work with the kids one-on-one.

I coach them on their songs, I work on their voices,

help them to increase their range.

When you feel you have taught something,

and you see them actually improve, that's the buzz of teaching.

Some of the students who have come here

have gone on to huge international success,

so I obviously have high standards.

Being part of The 100,

I can't help but look for good vocal technique, tuning.

Beyond that, I'll be looking for them to really feel the song,
