Back stage we spoke about this. The voice. Be yourself. This is what

it's all about. Yo, I am Charlie Sloth. The best looking fat guy in

the universe. There's definitely a couple of mums in the audience

tonight I will do a thing with... No, that's where you are going wrong

again. This is the Royal Albert Hall, rein it in a bit. This is

about the fusion of music. I will explain later. We have some great

artists performing. Like Wretch 32. Like Laura Mvula. Lady Leshurr.

Who shall be bringing out seven youngsters he's been mentoring.

This event brings together Radio 3, Radio 1, One Extra and BBC Three

which of course you are watching right now. It's probably the first

time all of those guys from the BBC have ever spoke. Yeah. Awkward.Move

on. The next artist last year performed at the Barbican. They know

already! But this year he will perform for the first time with the

legendry Jules Buckley and the BBC orchestra. I prefer to call him

Jules the G. Can I come up? Is there space for us? Can you not leave the

man alone? This guy is only 32 years of age but already... Yes, big

cheer. He is on a private jet already. Little older than me.

Already he is on top of his game, travelling around the world and he

could be anywhere in the world right now but he is here with us at the

I have been watching you in rehearsals. You are a very talented

man. When you are conducting it reminds me of when I am dancing to

I am back stage. I am about to speak to a man who is fresh off the stage,

it's MrFazer. I like to grab them when they're fresh off stage because

I get the energy. How are you? well. How are you? So good. You look

fantastic. Thank you. This is not the finale outfit yet. I am feeling

good right now. Earlier he was like this is the urban, and later comes

the classic. How was the performance? Great. The crowd, I

think they need something to hype them up a little bit. I started to

do that already and obviously Lady Leshurr has taken over. We are in a

good place. The baton was passed and you guys are on fire. When I

announced you were going to be performing, even before I said your

name, when it was like a hint of Fazer, they went argh! Oh, gosh. The

fans out here, there is a load of dedicated fans that came to see the

show. I am doing records that are not out in the charts yet. But yeah,

the first exclusive for everybody that's watching TV and listening at

home. Yeah, man, excited about it all. What I love about you is you

play different instruments, so it must be brilliant to do something

like this. I feel at home working with the orchestra. It's been a

great experience rehearsing with them and telling them, can you cut

this part here and watching the orchestra have a meltdown because 80

people have to change each score on the paper. Yeah, fun. It's totally

different. I reckon people should have a look at what you have been

doing and the rest of these fabulous artists.

It's urban night at the Proms. And the rap pack are taking over.

They're flipping the script to make an urban classic. Our finest home

grown lyricists alongside the BBC Symphony Orchestra. One third of

multiplatinum selling N-Dubz, rapper and producer Fazer is now a solo

star in his own right. It's a special moment and to perform with

an orchestra, I am like, lost for Chart-topper, Wretch 32 is the hard

rapper with a lazy flow. Having a massive orchestra out there, I feel

like I have extra arms and legs and power. It's really exciting.

Blazing a trail for Birmingham Lady Leshurr is the woman with an

explosive style. I like Mozart. I rapped over that before. It's like a

challenge to me. I love a challenge. So let the rappers delight.

We are here today at the BBC studios in London, we are having a

run-through and rehearsal for everything leading up to the big

show that's coming up, which is artists have played classical Proms,

you know, I think we are all trying to bring that edge and that

hardness, but at the same time, you know, we love great music. I

wouldn't say it's a culture clash. I would say it's two groups of people

meeting who wouldn't necessarily meet, which is what makes it

special. I think the common interest is music, which is a beautiful thing

because that is the universal language. It's like infusing two

different genres and making something that hasn't been done

flagship BBC ensemble at the Proms and it's a whopper sized ensemble,

average about 90 players. You can expect seriously heavy sounds from

the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. I remember feeling such a

yearning to be a part of what I was hearing, just a few doors away from

me. But never really stepped into to hear it kind of come to this

point seven years later, I am hearing a Symphony Orchestra play

it, is, yeah, it's a proud moment for me, definitely. I think what

Jules and the orchestra and the artists have done is incredible.

It's new. He says some stuff and me and Wretch 32 are kind of like, he

will be like, bar one 73, take the cue off and put a quaver on and we

thing. A really big deal for me. I am enjoying every moment. I think

after each one of us perform on the night it's going to be turmoil.

stuff. It's going to be crazy. will get nerves, but once I am out

there, I am just going to do what I do best.

Some fans out Hey oh, hey, hey oh, oh

multiplatinum urban recording artist and producer but I am also a huge

classical music fan. Ten weeks ago I set myself a massive challenge. I

auditioned talented young musicians to form a new band. None of them had

any interest in Bach or Beethoven but I wanted to see whether I could

open them to classical music. What do you think about classical music?

It's a bit boring. I find it slow. It's like old people. I found seven

amazingly talented musicians. Gospel singer Chavelle, Sam a rapper. Vic a

multitalented guitarist. Samara singer and rappers Curtis and

Sincere. I then dropped the bomb about what they let themselves in

for. In under two months we are going to be playing at the Proms at

the world renowned Royal Albert Hall. Hopefully they get the same

inspiration and same feeling that I got when I first worked with a
