THEY SING IN GAELIC

0:06:390:06:42

HE SINGS IN GAELIC

0:14:150:14:18

Innes, folk and electronica are definitely a good mix.

0:22:190:22:22

How and when did you realise this?

0:22:220:22:25

Well, we've all played in bands together for a few years,

0:22:250:22:31

so the first band we played in together

0:22:310:22:34

was a band called Inflatable Haggis

0:22:340:22:36

and we sort of played, kind of, Celtic rock sort of stuff.

0:22:360:22:40

But it wasn't until we'd bought a synthesiser

0:22:400:22:44

that we started experimenting with electronica.

0:22:440:22:47

So I bought a synthesiser when I was 15 or something

0:22:470:22:51

and it just came from there.

0:22:510:22:52

If you had to choose between

0:22:520:22:54

pure trad and pure electronica, what would it be?

0:22:540:22:57

Em... That's a difficult one. It's really difficult

0:22:570:23:00

because obviously with us growing up

0:23:000:23:02

with traditional music and Gaelic culture

0:23:020:23:05

and everything that's involved with that whole scene, sessioning -

0:23:050:23:09

you know, we still loving going to sessions and stuff like that.

0:23:090:23:13

Growing up with all that, it's very close to our hearts

0:23:130:23:16

and we like to portray that in the music that we do.

0:23:160:23:19

As well as that, you know, we also like to go out clubbing

0:23:190:23:22

and enjoy DJ music and electronic music and stuff like that,

0:23:220:23:27

so it's an impossible question to answer, really.

0:23:270:23:31

-Can I have both?

-You can, indeed.
