-It's very cool to speak Welsh.

-a lot of my friends as well.

-There are people I went to school

-with who I never spoke Welsh to.

-They speak Welsh to me now.

-Pigeon Welsh, as they call it,

-but as I like to tell my friends...

-As long as they use it.

-I love my job and I love the fact

-that the Urdd Eisteddfod...

-It's important that Flintshire gets

-the acknowledgement it deserves.

-..at the Urdd centre in Glan-llyn.

-Good morning!

-How are you?

-Very well, thank you.

-I know you don't normally

-climb walls or build a raft...

-..but these are situations that give

-you an opportunity to communicate.

-It allows you to speak

-completely naturally.

-It's also an experience that

-is lots of fun and very memorable.

-I moved to Wales three years ago

-from Banbury...

-..which is completely English.

-I didn't have a word of Welsh

-when I moved.

-Then I went to Ysgol Dyffryn Ogwen

-for a week.

-Then I was told I would attend a

-language centre for eight weeks...

-..to learn Welsh.

-At first, I thought it was

-impossible to learn in eight weeks.

-But it just sort of happened.

-With friends and so on,

-it was so easy.

-In my mind, I'm a Welshman.

-So even though English

-is my first language...

-..I feel as though

-the Welsh language is my language.

-I'm really proud to have learned

-Welsh and that I can use it.

-I have always used the Welsh

-language and tried to use it...

-..but I really wanted to live my

-life through the medium of Welsh.

-Learners' Medal competition...
