The Streets & Queens of the Stone Age Glastonbury

Welcome back to Glastonbury 2011. It's been brilliant. We are going

to get loads of highlights. Some wonderful moments from Glastonbury

this year. You will see some Laura Marling, Coldplay from Saturday

night, also some Queens Of The Stone Age and Gemma is about to

witness a very historic gig. believe so. The Streets have been

around for what seems an eternity. I have been a massive fan of the

guys. Now, word is that Mike doesn't want to be a part of The

Streets any more. The Streets as a band may be over. They are

performing here tonight and Gemma is in front of the stage right now

with a bunch of the revellers. How is it going? Anticipation is rife.

Literally, I feel like jelly. I'm at the John Peel Stage. Mike

Skinner has landed - he is a little bit late. It is The Streets. It

will be amazing. Oh my goodness. It is so exciting. The best thing

about Glastonbury is you get to be who you want to be, wear what you

want to wear and see who you want to see. By the way, expect some

I can see you. I can see you. so glad that we got to share a huge

chunk of The Streets with you. Being a North London boy, they were

a massive part of me growing up. If you don't own computers and blues

which could be their last album, please go and get it. So at this

point on a Sunday night most people are feeling pretty worse for wear,

sweaty, greasy, maybe a bit tired. One band know how to liven things

up. This band last played Glastonbury in 2002 and they have

Queens Of The Stone Age getting the crowd dirtier and sweatier.

weekend we have been up here and we have not seen as much as these guys,

Gemma and Greg. You have been everywhere else. How have you found

it? We are dead now. But it was a good weekend. I have no voice left.

I screamed. I have hung upside-down even. Why did you do that? I have

been moonlighting. It's been awesome. Have you told your samba

dancing Chris Martin thing? There was a moment where Chris

Martin passed me and he said, "I loved your samba dancing." Look at

that. Chris Martin is your number one fan. I don't know. That is the

word. Greg, you have made lots of unusual friends, a man dressed as a

Joker... He was very odd. He tried to kiss me at one point. Naked men

dancing at you? Kangaroo costume with big bits hanging off the

kangaroos. It was a great weekend. Did you both discover some new

areas that you hadn't seen before? many little bits that you can go to

and you could not see anything for the whole, nothing on the Main

Stage, you could just sit in a field and find your soul. I went to

the Unfair Ground last night. When you went in the plane, it felt like

the end of the world. We were the ones surviving and it had wire

everywhere. Jarvis Cocker piled in... Is this a weird dream you

had? It is. Honestly. This place is very surreal and very special.

adventure now. This is the last leg of my grass

tonne bri Crawl 2011 -- of my Glastonbury Crawl 2011. This is the

tepee field. This is the heart of the Festival and all these people

live in their tepees all year-round. There's a lot of people here from

Tepee Valley in Wales. What sort of stuff goes on in the evening?

drum workshops, different kinds of massage and therapies. Quite a

quiet area, really(!) it's a safety from the craziness down there.

think this might be my new favourite bit of Glastonbury?

would agree. It's the crow's nest in the park. This is so hidden, it

is not in any guides. We had Stornoway. It has a line-up until

6.30. Then it could be anyone. Coldplay could be up here? Maybe

with Beyonce. I doubt it, but keep dreaming. I'm reaching the end of

my Glastonbury Crawl so today I thought I would bring you to the

Dance Village. This place is full of people that don't make much

sense, but hopefully today we will get some good stuff out of them.

Let's explore. Is the Dance Village a favourite of yours? We always

come here so we have everything close by so we spend most of our

time here or The Other Stage. Queens Of The Stone Age or Beyonce?

I will be watching The Streets. One of my favourite bits of the

Festival - an amazing bit of the BBC which some of the biggest

artists have come out like Florence & The Machine, Chipmunk. It is all

unsigned music and one day this lot might be on the Pyramid Stage, you

never know. Sadly, we are reaching the end of my Glastonbury Crawl

2011. I thought I would bring you up to one of the most amazing

vantage points. The sun is out and it is beautiful. I have had the

best three days. Some highlights - learning to be a wizard, but the

best thing of all was being on stage with a fat man in a leotard.

This has been my Glastonbury Crawl 2011. I hope you have enjoyed it.

So say I'm jealous would be a massive understatement. You have

seen so much this weekend. I have. That fat man in a leotard was one

of the weirdest most horrible bits of the day. Have you not got a

point to make about something that did happen? Go for it. That band

were called Worship and they were really good. The bit where I was

doing the flicking the stick, right? Oh. I successfully did that

and whoever edited that has edited out the bit and made me look a

complete idiot. We will never see the proof. What we are going to do

here is have a look at some of our highlights. We will start off with

you, Gemma. What has been your musical highlight? I have gone out

and seen things. One of those moments earlier was Laura Marling.

She's stunning. She's beautiful. Her voice is so amazing, it is like

she's shocked by it. She is so calm and gentle and then this amazing,

yeah, just amazing. She sung Ghosts and I well up. I did well up a

little bit. Are you going to cry now? Yes. Let's watch it and enjoy.

favourite bands. It was when I had my first driving lesson...

It was such a special atmosphere. Did you love it? So much. Just so

much. They completely nailed it last night. It sounds like it was a

crazy side of stage. You were on the side of stage. I don't know how

Then Gwyneth was there and then is that Lucy Lu? Half-way through one

person bounded up in a hoodie, I was like, that looks Beyonce... I

went to Moyles, I think that is Beyonce. No, it's not. Yes, it is.

She was hugging Gwyneth. This is insane. How are you hanging out

with that lot? No idea! I wasn't hanging out with them. This morning

he was like, "I didn't mention something in the car." And he told

Without doubt, one of the most amazing performances from 2011. I

love her, Janelle Monae. She is good. Tonnes of people were loving

her as well. She was trending today off the back of yesterday's

performance. Our highlights continue on BBC Two this evening.
