Hello and welcome back the Glastonbury 2017, live on BBC Two. I

:00:00.:00:22.

have dreaded Nick Grimshaw in for a younger, better looking model. Who

:00:23.:00:27.

can blame you? You're only human. You have been on air for most of

:00:28.:00:32.

your adult life. Pretty much, and it feels good. So we have loads of

:00:33.:00:36.

great stuff to bring you. The excitement gathers towards the

:00:37.:00:43.

headline act here. Foo Fighters. Del Amitri yeah. So we are going to find

:00:44.:00:47.

out what is happening and get the atmosphere first-hand from our

:00:48.:00:51.

lovely woman on the ground, Jo Whiley, who has been sent into the

:00:52.:00:56.

mosh pit, which will not be a mosh pit because there was heavy

:00:57.:01:02.

security. It will be controlled mosh pit. Let's hand over to our chum Jo,

:01:03.:01:08.

who is scenting the atmosphere. Massive anticipation for the arrival

:01:09.:01:12.

of the Foo Fighters. Absolutely. If I could, I would be in that mosh

:01:13.:01:17.

pit. But you can sense the anticipation. The state is being

:01:18.:01:21.

set, the music is being ramped up and the flags are flying. Palpable

:01:22.:01:24.

excitement from Foo Fighters fans. The band will be on stage and I will

:01:25.:01:31.

bring them to you at 9.40 fight. Back to you. Thanks, Jo! We ran over

:01:32.:01:39.

there to hear what Jo was saying. She looked very colourful. Good to

:01:40.:01:46.

be noticed in that crowd. So we ran over there and they said to get back

:01:47.:01:50.

here. You have had about 30 seconds off since four o'clock this

:01:51.:01:55.

afternoon. But I can't complain, because Glastonbury has been

:01:56.:01:59.

spectacular. And we still haven't needed wellies. It is great, because

:02:00.:02:03.

you can walk around the outer areas. I have been up to the Healing Field

:02:04.:02:08.

and the stone circle, the places you can't be bothered going because it

:02:09.:02:12.

is usually too much effort. A couple got married here at the Park Stage,

:02:13.:02:17.

so congratulations. We wish you a long and happy life. Let's celebrate

:02:18.:02:23.

with music from Mali by Songhoy Blues on the Park Stage, just here.

:02:24.:02:47.

From earlier today just behind us on the Park Stage, Songhoy Blues. Now,

:02:48.:06:35.

let's talk about Liam Gallagher because there is a lot to say. There

:06:36.:06:42.

is. It sounds like he is launching his solo career. Journalists always

:06:43.:06:46.

say, we have to watch Liam Gallagher in case that is the one time when

:06:47.:06:52.

Noel comes on. This isn't it, but he is doing great things. He has

:06:53.:06:57.

famously done stuff with Adele and has come back with a big sound. Some

:06:58.:06:59.

new stuff now and maybe a classic. # When you're chained to the mirror

:07:00.:07:36.

and the razor blade # Today's the day

:07:37.:07:40.

that all the world will see # Walking to the sound of

:07:41.:07:42.

my favorite tune # Tomorrow never knows

:07:43.:07:50.

what it doesn't know too soon # Need a little time

:07:51.:07:57.

to wake up, wake up # Need a little time

:07:58.:08:09.

to rest your mind # You know you should

:08:10.:08:13.

so I guess you might as well # You need a little time

:08:14.:08:19.

to wake up, wake up # Need a little time

:08:20.:08:27.

to wake up, wake up # When you're chained to the mirror

:08:28.:09:08.

and the razor blade # Today's the day that all the world

:09:09.:09:15.

will see # Walking to the sound of

:09:16.:09:21.

my favorite tune # Tomorrow never knows

:09:22.:09:28.

what it doesn't know too soon # Need a little time

:09:29.:09:35.

to wake up, wake up # Need a little time

:09:36.:09:42.

to rest your mind # You know you should

:09:43.:09:48.

so I guess you might as well # You need a little time

:09:49.:09:55.

to wake up, wake up # Need a little time

:09:56.:10:05.

to wake up, wake up Thank you. Now we've got your

:10:06.:11:03.

attention, we are going to get stuck into some new songs.

:11:04.:11:26.

# You've been keeping paraphernalia, oh

:11:27.:11:32.

# Anyone can see right through your eyes

:11:33.:11:42.

# One day you'll shatter like a wall of glass

:11:43.:12:04.

# One day you'll shatter like a wall of glass

:12:05.:12:34.

# One day you'll shatter like a wall of glass

:12:35.:13:13.

# One day you'll shatter like a wall of glass

:13:14.:13:55.

# One day you'll shatter like a wall of glass

:13:56.:14:15.

# One day you'll shatter like a wall of glass

:14:16.:14:41.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Wall of Glass, new from Liam

:14:42.:14:52.

Gallacher. A massive crowd wherever he goes. He still has a brooding

:14:53.:14:56.

charisma. The man has still got it. My brother and I went to see him a

:14:57.:15:01.

couple of weeks ago. It was just a worship fest. To see it times ten on

:15:02.:15:05.

that stage, impressive. We're here for it, Liam. He played in

:15:06.:15:10.

Manchester recently, it was like the return of a hero, such an exciting

:15:11.:15:15.

night. Glad to have you back. We're going to catch up with Jo who had a

:15:16.:15:20.

chat with him fresh off the stage. Welcome to our garden and to Liam,

:15:21.:15:24.

who joins me now. How are you? Good, very good. You've come off the

:15:25.:15:29.

stage. Bit spaced out. It's not a bad thing maybe. Why spaced out?

:15:30.:15:33.

Just because you've been like held up in that room all day, so trying

:15:34.:15:37.

to get into the zone and then you go out, loads of people there and

:15:38.:15:41.

singing songs. It's pretty emotional thing. An extraordinary experience.

:15:42.:15:48.

Yeah. It is extraordinary. I'll be right, I'll be back to my usual mad

:15:49.:15:51.

self in half an hour. At the moment you're just a bit processing it.

:15:52.:16:00.

Just locking spaced out and that jazz sheet isn helping. The stories

:16:01.:16:07.

I've heard of people trying to come to see you, so many people trying to

:16:08.:16:13.

see you. Dave from Foo Fighters couldn't get there. I like Dave man,

:16:14.:16:17.

better luck next time. The fact that you were doing the gig and so many

:16:18.:16:20.

people there, what was it like looking out to the audience?

:16:21.:16:24.

Amazing, always nice to do. I'm made for big gigs, I'm made for small

:16:25.:16:28.

ones as well, but the bigger the better. They don't scare me. Does

:16:29.:16:32.

anything scare you? No. Losing my voice scares me. You know, you spend

:16:33.:16:37.

your whole day sitting around thinking, is it going to be there

:16:38.:16:40.

when you walk out. You think it's there. But it was there tonight, I

:16:41.:16:45.

think. You know what I mean? That's the only thing I'm nervous about.

:16:46.:16:49.

How did you prepare for this show? Lots of honey and apple cider

:16:50.:16:56.

vinegar, just stuff like that. I'm behaving myself these days. You know

:16:57.:17:00.

what I mean, as you get older, you just want to like, just - it's the

:17:01.:17:05.

best thing ever being able to sing to loads of people. Got to behave a

:17:06.:17:09.

bit now. It's time to take it seriously? Not too seriously. But

:17:10.:17:13.

you've got to prepare like footballers do. But soon as the

:17:14.:17:18.

gig's over, it's back to like being a scally wag. I imagine it was

:17:19.:17:23.

exciting on stage and looking out and hearing people singing along.

:17:24.:17:27.

What was the last song you did? Don't Look Back in Anger. I've never

:17:28.:17:34.

done that before. Yeah, because like everyone's like that's their song

:17:35.:17:37.

for the moment, with the shit that's going down in the world. I thought

:17:38.:17:41.

if our kid's not going to do it for them, I'll do it for them. I did all

:17:42.:17:45.

right. What are you doing after this, staying around? Yeah, I'm down

:17:46.:17:50.

with the grime boys. Proper grime fan. I met wiley h, a chat about a

:17:51.:17:56.

-- had a chat about a fight coming up. Met Stormzy. Heard about that

:17:57.:18:00.

it's the new punk. I'm going to check it out. Then I'll pop over and

:18:01.:18:05.

see the Foo Fighters. You reckon you can do this and be left alone, will

:18:06.:18:09.

you be in disguise? No, not in disguise. Nice to be back playing

:18:10.:18:12.

tunes to the beautiful people. Congratulations, well done Thank

:18:13.:18:14.

you. Wow. He was on great form. He was.

:18:15.:18:21.

Finger on the pulse. Down with the grime boys. He looks so well. Clean

:18:22.:18:25.

shaven, good hair cut, really chatty. Drinking vinegar. Taking

:18:26.:18:29.

care of himself these days. We like that, Liam. So from one wiley to

:18:30.:18:34.

another, we go to the Godfather of grime. He tweeted earlier on how

:18:35.:18:39.

overjoyed he was to be on the farm. Here he is from the Other Stage,

:18:40.:18:44.

this is wiley. OK, let's go.

:18:45.:19:15.

It quote the good man himself, he well and truly united the raver.

:19:16.:21:45.

Wiley there. We were talking about a wedding which happened here. Can I

:21:46.:21:50.

just say, hello to Janette and friends of jolly Joch, they got

:21:51.:21:54.

married here. There's a plaque up in green fields. Jolly Joch is no

:21:55.:21:58.

longer with us. Hi to you guys. Lots of love. We're getting into the live

:21:59.:22:02.

music now. I've heard these guys rehearsing. They are brilliant.

:22:03.:22:09.

Usually when they say The Fedz are here, it's not a good thing, but

:22:10.:22:11.

this is. Enjoy, this is The Fedz. Hello people. Welcome to the sound

:22:12.:22:30.

of The Fedz. # It's driving me wild,

:22:31.:22:30.

our stars are in sync # So you know the smiles that

:22:31.:22:36.

are coming your way # I'm reading the signs

:22:37.:22:40.

and they're pointing my way # I tremble inside,

:22:41.:22:48.

so I walk in the rain # Because you're making me shy even

:22:49.:23:35.

when you're not here # Just bask in the sun

:23:36.:23:42.

is the tenth minute # Your love's got me jumping

:23:43.:23:50.

around, now I'm spinning around # Actions speak louder than words.

:23:51.:24:43.

We should be close # Want to go close to when my pen

:24:44.:24:47.

would write the sweet notes # The pen prize away

:24:48.:24:51.

# It feels sad because my blue skies are grey

:24:52.:24:55.

# Now my heart's full up # I thought that things would look

:24:56.:24:56.

up # I said it so dad, what can I say

:24:57.:25:00.

# You're the best I ever had. APPLAUSE

:25:01.:25:53.

Thank you. Lovely stuff from The Fedz there. Thanks very much guys.

:25:54.:25:57.

Brilliant. I wish we could join them you know? I think we'd fit in. Yeah.

:25:58.:26:04.

Seamlessly. I might be just what they're missing off the frontline. I

:26:05.:26:08.

think you more so than I. I think. So don't beat yourself up about it.

:26:09.:26:11.

Thank you very much. That was amazing. Now all kinds of music at

:26:12.:26:16.

Glastonbury, that's one of the joys of it. There's a variety. One thing

:26:17.:26:20.

that people say is underrepresented over the years is metal and perhaps

:26:21.:26:25.

extreme metal, denning metal and -- death metal and things like that.

:26:26.:26:27.

They put that right on Thursday night. A label of that kind of music

:26:28.:26:41.

brought it here. Let's see what happened here for Ear ache.

:26:42.:26:46.

2017 a seminal moment for Glastonbury. The festival is

:26:47.:26:51.

throwing open the fields for extreme metal. First up the band that

:26:52.:27:00.

started it all. It's a bit loud! This is napalm

:27:01.:27:12.

death. These are the daddies. These guys created the genre. Hey man, are

:27:13.:27:30.

you all right, you just played Glastonbury myself. You are so wet.

:27:31.:27:34.

Yeah. How do you think the crowd took, it man? Surprisingly,

:27:35.:27:40.

actually. It's a para-Dom. Because whilst we don't deliberately set out

:27:41.:27:45.

to shock people, needless to say the music's sonically violent. What

:27:46.:27:50.

underpins it is peace, tolerance, equality, non-violence. We still get

:27:51.:27:55.

a perverse kick out of like wrecking people's heads. You'll be pleased to

:27:56.:27:58.

know that I'm basically deaf at the moment. Metallica may have headlined

:27:59.:28:06.

the Pyramid Stage in 2014, but never before has metal at Glastonbury been

:28:07.:28:11.

so extreme. As night fell Lucy took me to a whole new area dedicated to

:28:12.:28:17.

metal's outer edges. Where are we? At the ear ache express in Shangri

:28:18.:28:26.

La. A massive shindig with loads of bands to celebrate extreme metal.

:28:27.:28:31.

Glastonbury has never had anything of this calibre. This is from the

:28:32.:28:39.

death metal scene. It's a tribal uniform for the death metal crowd.

:28:40.:28:44.

Is this a big thing in metal, looking scary? There's a

:28:45.:28:49.

misconception that the metal community are really scary. Most

:28:50.:28:52.

people have normal jobs, normal nine to five. It doesn't matter what walk

:28:53.:28:57.

of life you're from, how old you are, what gender you are, so long as

:28:58.:29:03.

you are happy in a mosh pit. We've got a band playing tonight

:29:04.:29:08.

called Worm Rot. They're brutal. They've come all the way from

:29:09.:29:13.

Singapore and they're Muslim. You look metal!

:29:14.:29:33.

Extreme metal has finally made its way to Glastonbury after 30 years.

:29:34.:29:39.

It's loud, and it's awesome! Long may it continue! Arghhh! I want to

:29:40.:29:51.

hang out with him. Nice one. I think James Ballardie has gone native.

:29:52.:29:54.

That's the beautiful thing about it, you leave real life at the gate.

:29:55.:29:58.

Absolutely. Check into fairy land and take it where you like.

:29:59.:30:01.

Inhibitions are left at the gate. Good man, James. We will catch up

:30:02.:30:09.

with Yasser now who has been hanging out at cinema-geddon. I'm interested

:30:10.:30:13.

to see this. I'm told it's like a drive-in cinema. Yeah a

:30:14.:30:16.

drive-through of sorts, like the old days. Couples put their arms round

:30:17.:30:20.

each other and enjoy the view. Here's Yasser.

:30:21.:30:26.

Hi guys, yes, I'm here, Joe is with me, one of the artists. What's the

:30:27.:30:30.

concept? The idea is it's like a mutated drive-in cinema. We've

:30:31.:30:35.

parked all these cars out here and people come and sit there and put

:30:36.:30:41.

the head phones on and watch the screen. That is the biggest screen

:30:42.:30:45.

I've ever seen in my life. I didn't know they make them this big. It's

:30:46.:30:49.

huge. What I love about this place, every car has its own

:30:50.:30:52.

characteristics. Talk to us about that. This is the rolls rust. You

:30:53.:31:00.

don't often see a rusty one. This is the royal car, which we drove Prince

:31:01.:31:08.

Edward into the Olympic Stadium at the closing ceremony. That's the

:31:09.:31:09.

glitter bug. The Messerschmitt over here. And

:31:10.:31:25.

this is one of my favourites. This is just a car in a hole. Settled

:31:26.:31:35.

down here, get your headphones. , As does the seats? Adjust them, turn on

:31:36.:31:40.

the air conditioning. This is one of my favourite places in the whole of

:31:41.:31:44.

Glastonbury. We are going to carry on and watch this film. Over to you

:31:45.:31:46.

guys back in the studio. That was Yasser at the

:31:47.:31:59.

Cineramageddon. Talking about having a choice of viewing, I spoke to my

:32:00.:32:06.

family today. My wife said, we haven't seen it so far. We sat and

:32:07.:32:11.

watched it last month, but the kid said, shall we watch love Island

:32:12.:32:16.

instead? So thanks, that is where I am in the pecking order. Well, we

:32:17.:32:21.

are here at Glastonbury and having a wonderful time. Well going to enjoy

:32:22.:32:25.

some music now a guy who it is safe to say the whole of the scene is

:32:26.:32:29.

rooting for and you will hear why. And with a heads up for some strong

:32:30.:32:33.

language and strobe lighting, this is the incredible Stormzy.

:32:34.:32:39.

Glastonbury, this is the upper stage. My name is Stormzy. You lot

:32:40.:32:43.

have been fucking legendary. Let's go, man! Energy. I need way more

:32:44.:32:58.

energy. I said Glastonbury, energy! One, two, one, two, three!

:32:59.:33:20.

# Energy crew # Energy crew.

:33:21.:33:21.

# You're getting way too big for your boots

:35:17.:35:19.

Good news from Glastonbury. We can go back there and bring you Stormzy.

:35:20.:36:20.

# Dem boy dere tried twist up the truth

:36:21.:36:23.

# How dare you twist up the truth, look

:36:24.:36:29.

Glastonbury, energy! Glasto, don't let me down, please, man.

:36:30.:38:21.

# Duh, all of you MCs sound so bitter

# See me turn from a prince to a pauper

# Two cigarettes and a bottle of water

# Stiff Chocolate, skin clear like water

# Smooth on this ting, start locking up daughters

:39:08.:39:26.

The peoples champ, that was Stormzy on BBC Two. Apologies if you lost us

:39:27.:40:03.

for a second. We are very much alive. Had a technical issue but

:40:04.:40:07.

it's all good now. So the satellite went down during Stormzy, but we got

:40:08.:40:11.

an engineer out equipped with a monkey wrench. That was a song by

:40:12.:40:16.

someone, wasn't it? Was it the Foo Fighters? This is a well constructed

:40:17.:40:20.

link that throws us to Jo Whiley in the pit. Let's see how the mood is

:40:21.:40:22.

fermenting down there. The mood is ridiculous down here at

:40:23.:40:43.

the moment. There is a lot of chanting and singing going along.

:40:44.:40:45.

People are desperate for the band to come on stage. And they are very

:40:46.:40:48.

excited. Let's hear the story of the Foo Fighters. It's been almost 20

:40:49.:40:50.

years since the Foo Fighters took to the stage at Worthy Farm. The last

:40:51.:40:55.

Glastonbury appearance was way back in 1998. We are on the Main Stage,

:40:56.:40:59.

but there was some Euro cup final soccer thing happening, so we played

:41:00.:41:04.

in the pouring rain to not a lot of people. To each other. But over the

:41:05.:41:09.

last two decades, the band have established themselves as the

:41:10.:41:16.

princes of alternative rock. The Foos began life as Nirvana drummer

:41:17.:41:21.

Dave Grohl's solo project of self penned songs. Stepping out from

:41:22.:41:25.

behind the skin 's comedy played every instrument on their celebrated

:41:26.:41:35.

self titled debut. # Tricky second album the colour and

:41:36.:41:42.

shape spawned a rock outs... And singalong stadium anthems. Donatella

:41:43.:41:51.

Hawkins was installed as the New Statesman. Taylor, the new drummer,

:41:52.:41:59.

has given everything a new spot. And the Foos continued their journey to

:42:00.:42:04.

sky-high stardom. They topped the UK charts in 2002 with fourth album one

:42:05.:42:13.

by one. The band have bagged 11 Grammys. They have clocked up eight

:42:14.:42:26.

studio albums. And have sold out stadiums across the globe. In 2015,

:42:27.:42:34.

they were all set to headline the Pyramid Stage. But at a gig in

:42:35.:42:40.

Sweden, Dave's online sat-nav had a blip, resulting in a lower limb

:42:41.:42:46.

disaster. I think I just broke my leg. Nonetheless, he rocks on and

:42:47.:42:52.

finished the show. We were looking forward to playing Glastonbury, and

:42:53.:42:55.

I guess it was just a few days before that I broke my leg. So they

:42:56.:43:01.

moved Florence to the headliner. And they did a version of times like

:43:02.:43:09.

these. I remember I was in my wheelchair with my leg up, and I

:43:10.:43:17.

heard it online and went, she is singing! Florence And The Machine

:43:18.:43:21.

wowed the Somerset crowd, but the Foos promised to return. That the

:43:22.:43:29.

festival. That's the one. Sa tonight, the stars have aligned and

:43:30.:43:34.

finally, the Foo Fighters are rocking the Pyramid Stage. What it

:43:35.:43:44.

meant to be? Of course it was. I think it's safe to say the Foos are

:43:45.:43:48.

going to make a lot of people very happy tonight. It's kind of

:43:49.:43:52.

emotional for him to get here finally. So here we go. Here is Jo

:43:53.:43:59.

to set it all in motion. They are quite a rowdy bunch. The people down

:44:00.:44:03.

here are waiting for Foo Fighters. But they are behaving themselves now

:44:04.:44:07.

because they know Foo Fighters will be here imminently. Dave Grohl has

:44:08.:44:12.

said this gig tonight has immense meaning. He said this one has more

:44:13.:44:16.

meaning than any gig Foo Fighters have done before, that this is more

:44:17.:44:19.

than a gig, this is personal. He said he was moved to tears when he

:44:20.:44:23.

watched Florence And The Machine perform times like these when he had

:44:24.:44:26.

a broken leg and could not be here to play on the Pyramid Stage. So he

:44:27.:44:32.

has waited for two years to get back on two feat to be able to walk out

:44:33.:44:36.

on this date and be able to perform and give Glastonbury the kind of

:44:37.:44:41.

show they want. Of course, the band have been saying they have a lot of

:44:42.:44:45.

friends, so we are excited to see what will be happening on stage.

:44:46.:44:49.

There might be some colourful fireworks in the sky towards the end

:44:50.:44:53.

of the set. And there will certainly be hit after hit. You have probably

:44:54.:44:57.

heard that everybody here is in fine voice, so they will be singing along

:44:58.:45:00.

to every song they know. The band are about to walk out on stage, so,

:45:01.:45:06.

Saturday night, Glastonbury Festival, your Pyramid Stage

:45:07.:45:08.

headliners. There might be some swearing. Of course there will be.

:45:09.:45:13.

It is the Foo Fighters! They will be walking out now. Enjoy the whole set

:45:14.:45:22.

and sing along wherever you are at home. This is going to be a lot of

:45:23.:45:24.

fun. I'm about two years late tonight...

:45:25.:46:24.

I'm sorry. CHEERING

:46:25.:46:27.

Traffic was a bitch. Let me tell you something, for all

:46:28.:46:41.

of you that were here in 2015... CHEERING

:46:42.:46:54.

... I'm sorry I missed you. But I watched that show on my laptop, as I

:46:55.:47:00.

was sitting in a wheelchair with a broken leg and it looked beautiful.

:47:01.:47:05.

And my friend, Florence... CHEERING

:47:06.:47:11.

... Got to headline that year, and I'm very happy that happened because

:47:12.:47:20.

you know what, I thought she should have been headlining any way.

:47:21.:47:32.

As I was sitting in my wheelchair, watching this show on TV, all of a

:47:33.:47:42.

sudden she played a fucking Foo Fighters' song, man. Way better than

:47:43.:47:51.

we've ever played a Foo Fighters' song, let me tell you! So I thought

:47:52.:48:00.

I'd come out here and start the show tonight... Singing that song back to

:48:01.:48:06.

Florence tonight. That's what I want to do.

:48:07.:48:16.

# It's times like these you learn to live again

:48:17.:49:10.

# It's times like these you give and give again

:49:11.:49:16.

# It's times like these you learn to love again

:49:17.:49:22.

# It's times like these, time and time again

:49:23.:49:36.

# I'm a brand new sky to hang the stars upon tonight

:49:37.:49:46.

# Do I stay or run away and leave it all behind?

:49:47.:50:07.

# It's times like these you learn to live again

:50:08.:50:18.

# It's times like these you give and give again

:50:19.:50:24.

# It's times like these you learn to love again

:50:25.:50:31.

# It's times like these, time and time again

:50:32.:51:23.

# It's times like these you learn to live again

:51:24.:51:39.

# It's times like these you give and give again

:51:40.:51:42.

# It's times like these you learn to love again

:51:43.:51:47.

# It's times like these, time and time again

:51:48.:51:52.

# It's times like these you learn to live again

:51:53.:51:56.

# It's times like these you give and give again

:51:57.:52:02.

# It's times like these you learn to love again

:52:03.:52:06.

# It's times like these, time and time again

:52:07.:52:47.

Light them up. I want to see everybody! You ready? You ready?

:52:48.:55:41.

It's going to be a long night, you know that! I think tonight we should

:55:42.:02:10.

just play until they kick us off the stage. What do you think?

:02:11.:02:12.

CHEERING We can do it! You know we can do it.

:02:13.:02:19.

So now we're going to play some old songs. Songs from the first record.

:02:20.:02:27.

CHEERING Songs from the second record.

:02:28.:02:33.

CHEERING Songs from the third record. I like

:02:34.:02:35.

that one. CHEERING

:02:36.:02:38.

And the fourth record. CHEERING

:02:39.:02:44.

How about the fifth one? CHEERING

:02:45.:02:45.

How about the sixth one? CHEERING

:02:46.:02:48.

What about the seventh one? CHEERING

:02:49.:02:53.

Maybe we'll do something from the eighth one.

:02:54.:02:57.

CHEERING Maybe we'll do something from the

:02:58.:03:02.

ninth one, but you've not even fucking heard it yet. Let's shut it

:03:03.:03:06.

up. # Oh, sweet ignition

:03:07.:03:18.

be my fuse # You have no

:03:19.:04:37.

choice you have to choose # You have no choice,

:04:38.:04:39.

you have to choose # These rattled bones

:04:40.:05:15.

and rubber bands # Looking for a dime

:05:16.:05:35.

and found a quarter # But you can't

:05:36.:05:41.

make me change my name # You'll never make

:05:42.:05:43.

me change my name # Pay no mind now

:05:44.:05:45.

ain't that something # You'll never make

:05:46.:05:48.

me change my name # Pay no mind now

:05:49.:07:18.

ain't that something You like rock and roll?

:07:19.:10:56.

CHEERING You like rock and roll?

:10:57.:11:06.

LOUD CHEERING. Me, too. Let's play some rock and

:11:07.:11:10.

roll. Let's play some real rock and roll. Let's play some rock and roll

:11:11.:11:17.

you can dance to. You want to dance with me? Come on and dance! I can

:11:18.:11:22.

walk now! We can dance. I was just checking to make sure you

:11:23.:13:51.

like to rock and roll. If you want to fucking Singh, you want to sing

:13:52.:13:59.

with me, do both hands. We can do that. Who's got the backbeat?

:14:00.:14:03.

Listen. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:14:04.:16:29.

Hey! Hey! Hey! Hi. Ladies and gentlemen, I am going to say oh

:16:30.:16:37.

yeah. I can see you. I have a question. How you doing, you doing

:16:38.:16:47.

all right, all right? How many people seen the Foo Fighters play

:16:48.:16:59.

before? Let me see. Not bad. It's more than Lithuania. How many people

:17:00.:17:03.

have never seen the Foo Fighters play before? Let me see you, come

:17:04.:17:11.

on. That's a lot of people. Let me introduce you to to Foo Fighters.

:17:12.:17:15.

That is Chris on lead guitar, that guy right there.

:17:16.:17:37.

I don't think Ted Nugent is very popular here, you, I know he is

:17:38.:17:44.

popular in your heart, but give them something real. Give them like a...

:17:45.:18:13.

Fucking show off! On the bass is Mr NateSt Mendell. A handsome man. You

:18:14.:18:29.

going to give them something Nate? He's going to give you some of that.

:18:30.:18:36.

He put the fun income the trunk. That is Nate right there. You can

:18:37.:19:11.

feel it in your bones. That is Rami on keyboards right there.

:19:12.:19:19.

It's a difficult solo to take, I have to be honest.

:19:20.:19:21.

Unless... Oh, shit, come on.

:19:22.:20:04.

You can see why he is in this band! Look at that, Pat Smear. You know

:20:05.:20:10.

Pat. Pat. That's fucking Glastonbury right there, look at those people.

:20:11.:20:20.

That is Glastonbury. They love ya. Pat doesn't do solos.

:20:21.:20:47.

OK that's all he gets. That is all he's going to get. There's more

:20:48.:21:01.

coming, don't worry. Last but not fucking least...

:21:02.:21:12.

I know, he hates the attention, he's so modest and shy. That's Taylor

:21:13.:21:26.

Hawkins on the drums right there. Howdy. How you all doing? This place

:21:27.:21:35.

is fucking insane. That's a big show. That's a big one. Warm them up

:21:36.:21:42.

Hawkin, give it to them right now, hit them hard. Ay-oh! Day-oh. That's

:21:43.:22:03.

two Queen things already. We obviously love Queen. I mean, you

:22:04.:22:07.

know, why not? The great thing about Taylor Hawkins is he has a really

:22:08.:22:13.

tanned chest and he sings a song called Day in the Sun. You have to

:22:14.:22:15.

hear that right now. # You just might

:22:16.:23:08.

wear your welcome out # There's nothing

:23:09.:23:11.

that you couldn't say # I think it's time

:23:12.:23:13.

you walked this lonely road # You get so lost inside

:23:14.:23:15.

your head # Are you looking

:23:16.:23:23.

for someone to blame? # Looks like your bleeding

:23:24.:23:25.

heart has already won # You're so afraid that

:23:26.:23:44.

you are the only one # Don't be afraid cos

:23:45.:23:50.

you're not the only one # Looks like your bleeding

:23:51.:24:07.

heart has already won # Looks like your bleeding

:24:08.:24:49.

heart has already won Taylor Hawkins on the drums.

:24:50.:25:31.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE # The day he heard

:25:32.:26:10.

the lighting in the field # That night the Tallahatchie

:26:11.:26:13.

took the wheel # And they're singing

:26:14.:26:31.

like a bluebird in the round # That are tangled deep beneath

:26:32.:27:11.

this southern ground # And you need blind

:27:12.:27:27.

faith # Open your eyes,

:27:28.:29:12.

step into the light # Can't you see

:29:13.:29:56.

I've waited long enough # Can't you see

:29:57.:31:54.

I've waited long enough # But still inside

:31:55.:32:54.

a whisper to a liar # To sacrifice

:32:55.:33:25.

but knowing to survive # The first to find

:33:26.:33:28.

another state of mind # I'm on my knees

:33:29.:33:32.

I'm waiting for a sign # Can't you see

:33:33.:33:35.

I've waited long enough # Can't you see

:33:36.:34:51.

I've waited long enough? I'd like to dedicate that last song

:34:52.:36:03.

to my surgeon. CHEERING

:36:04.:36:17.

Plastic surgeon. His name's James. I went to him and I said, I know I

:36:18.:36:26.

have a broken leg, but could you make me look older? Voila!

:36:27.:36:38.

This one's for you, James, and the last one. It's called These Days.

:36:39.:36:48.

# The ground will drop out from beneath your feet

:36:49.:37:00.

# Your heart will stop and play its final beat

:37:01.:37:23.

# The clocks will stop and time won't mean a thing

:37:24.:37:37.

# I'll bet, I'll bet I'll bet, I'll bet

:37:38.:38:31.

# Your eyes will close and pray you'll disappear

:38:32.:38:52.

# You will forget to hope and learn to fear

:38:53.:39:07.

# I'll bet, I'll bet I'll bet, I'll bet

:39:08.:39:45.

# Your heart will stop and play its final beat

:39:46.:40:50.

CLACKING OF INCREASING VOLUME. Leave it to Glastonbury to have a

:40:51.:42:14.

singalong in a place that never had a fucking singalong before! That's

:42:15.:42:26.

not the next part. The next part... Is a bit like this.

:42:27.:42:28.

# I'll bet, I'll bet I'll bet, I'll bet

:42:29.:42:53.

It's time to get going. This 1's for the naked guy.

:42:54.:44:11.

# Take those pictures down and shake it out

:44:12.:44:13.

# Don't the best of them bleed it out

:44:14.:44:51.

Do it for Emily. Let's hear it fucking loud.

:44:52.:48:03.

CHEERING AND APPLAUSE All right.

:48:04.:50:08.

I might change things up a little bit.

:50:09.:50:24.

Let's hear my guitar. Hold on. You know you're at a Foo Fighters show

:50:25.:50:32.

when it sounds like that. That's very good. OK. Ladies and

:50:33.:50:39.

gentlemen, Dan, line them up, I have to see the people, you know I like

:50:40.:50:48.

see the people. You guys doing all right? You doing

:50:49.:50:59.

all right? We got lucky, man. That's a beautiful night. It's not so bad.

:51:00.:51:12.

You know we like to work this like a roller coaster. We've got to hit you

:51:13.:51:21.

hard for a little bit, then we got to bring you back, because if you

:51:22.:51:30.

want, we could play all fucking night, I don't know.

:51:31.:51:33.

CHEERING . What's the curfew? What is it? 12?

:51:34.:51:46.

I don't know what it is. I'm not really asking permission for

:51:47.:51:55.

anything right now. How about this? You all can stay and dance and have

:51:56.:52:05.

a good time. We'll keep playing. You all can take a break. Come back, we

:52:06.:52:12.

might still be playing. If you want one of those parties,

:52:13.:52:18.

because... Ain't no party like a Foo Fighters party, that's the way I

:52:19.:52:20.

like look at it. For the last month, everyone's been

:52:21.:52:36.

asking, how's it feel? You going to headline Glastonbury, how's that

:52:37.:52:39.

feel? This is it, you're going to headline Glastonbury, how does that

:52:40.:52:43.

feel, you're going to do it. It's going to to be the big one, it's the

:52:44.:52:47.

big one. This is it! And we got here tonight,

:52:48.:52:59.

I walked in, walked in the side of the stage, I looked out at the

:53:00.:53:04.

Glastonbury, how's that feel? This is it, you're going to headline

:53:05.:53:06.

Glastonbury, how does that feel, you're going to do it. It's going to

:53:07.:53:10.

to be the big one, it's the big one. This is it! And we got here tonight,

:53:11.:53:13.

I walked in, walked in the side of the stage, I looked out at the

:53:14.:53:15.

audience, Glastonbury, how's that feel? This is it, you're going to

:53:16.:53:18.

headline Glastonbury, how does that feel, you're going to do it. It's

:53:19.:53:21.

going to to be the big one, it's the big one.

:53:22.:53:23.

This is it! And we got here tonight, I walked in, walked in the side of

:53:24.:53:26.

the stage, I looked out at the audience, and I said, "We're going

:53:27.:53:28.

to light that mother fucker up tonight." And, it look like a party

:53:29.:53:31.

to me, right? So this is the slow dance. This is a couple's dance.

:53:32.:53:34.

It's an old song we don't play very often. Because no-one likes it.

:53:35.:53:38.

We'll see what happens. A song called wheels.

:53:39.:53:45.

# Well I wanted something better, man

:53:46.:54:46.

# Well you wanted something beautiful

:54:47.:57:14.

Let me sing this one. I'm going to sing this one just with you. Are you

:57:15.:58:19.

ready? Singalong. CHEERING

:58:20.:59:53.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new record that nobody's fucking heard

:59:54.:59:58.

yet. But we do have a song that maybe you heard. Want to play that

:59:59.:00:08.

song, Chris? Let's do it. It's a new song. It's called Run. It sounds

:00:09.:00:10.

like this. # Seems that all they ever wanted

:00:11.:00:22.

was a brother # Even all the ever wanting

:00:23.:05:52.

had a problem # Seems that all they ever wanted

:05:53.:06:04.

was a marking # This is a call

:06:05.:06:26.

to all my past resignations # Seems that all the cysts and

:06:27.:06:44.

molluscs tend to barter # Even all the ones

:06:45.:07:25.

who watered down the daughter # Seems that all they ever wanted

:07:26.:07:32.

was a marking # This is a call

:07:33.:08:38.

to all my past resignations # Ain't that the way

:08:39.:08:55.

it always starts # Hey don't go

:08:56.:10:43.

:29:39.:29:44.

OK. How about this? I'm just going to play until they tell us to

:29:45.:29:53.

fucking stop. How about that? Any of you ever Foo Fighters show? You know

:29:54.:29:59.

that this shit could go on for a long fucking time. I understand that

:30:00.:30:13.

the fucking EDM tent is going to be full by the time you get there. It's

:30:14.:30:19.

OK. But right now, it's all about this and you and this and us. Let's

:30:20.:30:32.

do and us think. How about we do something together? You want to

:30:33.:30:39.

that? Let's do and thing. Remember that time we sang a song together?

:30:40.:30:41.

You fucking will later. # I've got another

:30:50.:30:50.

:30:51.:30:53.

the best of you? # The best, the best

:30:54.:31:10.

the best of you? # You gave me something

:31:11.:31:20.

that I didn't have # Is someone getting the best

:31:21.:31:37.

the best, the best, the best of you? # Is someone getting the best

:31:38.:32:25.

the best, the best, the best of you? # The life, the love

:32:26.:33:10.

you'd die to heal # The hope that starts

:33:11.:33:18.

the broken hearts # Is someone getting the best

:33:19.:33:21.

the best, the best, the best of you? # The best, the best

:33:22.:33:34.

the best of you? OK. Guess what? This is exactly what

:33:35.:37:45.

I fucking hoped would happen. Daniel, line them up. -- like them

:37:46.:37:54.

up. Hey, Glastonbury. Thank you so much, you guys. It's been a

:37:55.:38:02.

beautiful evening. Everybody tried to make us feel like this is the

:38:03.:38:12.

most nerve-racking, biggest night of our entire lives. I'm not saying

:38:13.:38:20.

goodbye, mother fucker, just so you know. Oh, shit. Never going to get

:38:21.:38:38.

out of here! CROWD SINGING ALONG AGAIN.

:38:39.:38:52.

If you guys seem that much, ten more songs will take three more hours.

:38:53.:39:23.

You know that shit, right? All right.

:39:24.:39:34.

CROWD CHANTING: Three more hours! Three more hours!

:39:35.:39:41.

I mean, we can fucking do it? Get me that Yegor Meister, large. Can we at

:39:42.:39:54.

least finish this fucking song, please? Jesus fucking come on!

:39:55.:40:13.

# Well, I've got another confession my friend

:40:14.:40:25.

# I'm getting tired of starting again

:40:26.:40:33.

# Were you born to resist or be abused?

:40:34.:40:44.

# Is someone getting the best the best, the best, the best of you?

:40:45.:41:07.

# Has someone taken your faith? It's real, the pain you feel

:41:08.:41:11.

# Is someone getting the best the best, the best, the best of you?

:41:12.:41:43.

CROWD CONTINUES TO SING ALONG TO LAST SONG.

:41:44.:42:15.

All right, all right, all right! Let's break this shit down for a

:42:16.:42:26.

minute. Let me tell you, you are all crazy!

:42:27.:42:32.

CHEERING You want to do a little dance with

:42:33.:42:37.

me? Just, you know, check it out a little. -- shake it out a little.

:42:38.:42:46.

Don't start counting, you fucking Foo Fighters people! Oh, and let me

:42:47.:42:52.

tell you something. Yesterday, the day before yesterday, we were doing

:42:53.:42:57.

an interview and someone said, you know you're not supposed to swear.

:42:58.:43:07.

There is no swearing on Glastonbury. I was like, what the fuck is that

:43:08.:43:13.

supposed to fucking mean? ! And then, I guess, Adele holds the

:43:14.:43:20.

record for the most fucks in a Glastonbury. Now, I love Adele. But,

:43:21.:43:32.

guess what. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck...

:43:33.:43:43.

# Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck # Fuck, fuck, fuck... OK, I think we

:43:44.:43:51.

broke a record. I think it was 33. Fuck, shut -- dude, shut the fuck

:43:52.:44:15.

up! This one is for the Foo Fighters bands. It's called Skin And Bones.

:44:16.:44:25.

# Wind me up and watch me spin

:44:26.:44:44.

# All worn out and nothing fits

:44:45.:45:35.

Hey! I got a clock, I know the time. I'm fucking counting. Shut up! No

:45:36.:51:07.

thank you. LAUGHTER

:51:08.:51:14.

Taylor? Yes, do you want to sing a song? Sure. You want to sing a song

:51:15.:51:20.

out from. Yes, come back here. I'm going to go back there, he's going

:51:21.:51:27.

to come out here P We're going to lay down, we did this once before at

:51:28.:51:30.

a nightclub, with 50 people there. How about some more Queen? We

:51:31.:51:54.

obviously love Queen, you know that. I don't know how this mic works.

:51:55.:52:02.

We're going do a song called under pressure.

:52:03.:52:07.

When was the last time you saw Dave Grohl play the drums.

:52:08.:52:23.

# Pressure, # Pressing down on me

:52:24.:52:31.

# ming down on S you # Under pressure

:52:32.:52:33.

# To bring the feeling down # Terror of knowing

:52:34.:52:52.

# What this world is about # Watching your good friend

:52:53.:52:54.

screaming # Let me out

:52:55.:52:59.

# Tomorrow,

:53:00.:53:17.

# Go Dave # These are the days

:53:18.:53:32.

# People on the streets # People on the streets

:53:33.:53:38.

# It's the terror of knowing what this world is about

:53:39.:53:43.

# Watching some good friends scream let me out

:53:44.:53:46.

# Tomorrow,

:53:47.:53:59.

# One, two three # Turneded away from it all like a

:54:00.:54:04.

blind man # Sat on a fence but it don't work

:54:05.:54:10.

had been keep coming up with love # But it's so slashed and torn

:54:11.:54:23.

# Oh, no #

:54:24.:54:35.

Love, #

:54:36.:54:40.

Give love one more chance, why don't you give love, give love give love

:54:41.:54:54.

# Give love # Cause love's such an old fashioned

:54:55.:54:57.

word # And lover dares you to care for

:54:58.:55:00.

the people # On the edge of the night

:55:01.:55:08.

# And love dares you to change our way

:55:09.:55:11.

# Of caring about ourselves # This is our last dance

:55:12.:55:20.

# This is our ourself

:55:21.:55:39.

# Under pressure # Pressure. #

:55:40.:55:58.

That's for your kids Rog. Yeah, yeah, yes.

:55:59.:56:10.

I mean... Taylor. Yes. We got all these people we got all this time.

:56:11.:56:30.

How about this? I know how much time we have. You know the Foo Fighters,

:56:31.:56:44.

we always come back. You know that, right? Let me say, that tonight

:56:45.:56:57.

everybody said this is the big one man, this is it. And I'm like, no,

:56:58.:57:04.

that's not the big one. And I feel loose, I feel good and I feel like

:57:05.:57:09.

this is the fucking big one, man, I'm into it. I feel like it's just

:57:10.:57:19.

the way it should be. Are you telling me to stop? No, no, no.

:57:20.:57:34.

What? I got one, right. I'd like to dedicate this song to someone named

:57:35.:57:41.

Laura, who couldn't be here tonight. But we should all dance this one for

:57:42.:57:46.

her, that's what I think. Thank you all for sticking round with our band

:57:47.:57:52.

for 22 years. People that seen us play before, it's very nice of you,

:57:53.:57:55.

thank you. And for all the people that have

:57:56.:58:00.

never seen us play before, I hope you see us for the next 22 years

:58:01.:58:08.

because we might be coming back. But this country has always been so good

:58:09.:58:12.

to us this is where we cut our teeth, this is where we became a

:58:13.:58:16.

band and if it weren't for you people in this place, we wouldn't be

:58:17.:58:21.

here right now, so, thank you, all of our love to you, thank you so

:58:22.:58:30.

much. It really is the best fucking job in the world. I worked in

:58:31.:58:39.

Shaky's pizza, you don't want to do that. So we never really say

:58:40.:58:41.

goodbye, we just say think. # I'm over my head

:58:42.:59:14.

Out of her head she sang # If everything could ever feel

:59:15.:00:10.

this real forever # If anything could ever be

:00:11.:00:24.

this good again # The only thing

:00:25.:00:30.

I'll ever ask of you # You've got to promise not to stop

:00:31.:00:33.

when I say when, she sang... # Out of your head

:00:34.:00:50.

Out of my head, I sang... # And I wonder

:00:51.:01:15.

When I sing along with you # If everything could ever feel

:01:16.:01:23.

this real forever # If anything could ever be

:01:24.:01:29.

this good again # The only thing

:01:30.:01:35.

I'll ever ask of you # You've got to promise not to stop

:01:36.:01:37.

when I say when, she sang... # # If everything could ever feel

:01:38.:01:51.

this real forever # If anything could ever be

:01:52.:02:25.

this good again # The only thing

:02:26.:02:31.

I'll ever ask of you # You've got to promise not to stop

:02:32.:02:34.

when I say when, she sang... # Thank you so much! That was a

:02:35.:02:57.

fucking beautiful night! Thank you! FEEDBACK FROM GUITAR AMPLIFIERS.

:02:58.:05:00.

CROWD SING ALONG TO EARLIER SONG. Well, my word, the Pyramid Stage

:05:01.:05:31.

falling silent after an epic set from the Foo Fighters. You can't say

:05:32.:05:35.

they didn't give it their all. A long road to get here, but they had

:05:36.:05:39.

everything there, even an accordion solo. Who was expecting that? The

:05:40.:05:46.

full kit. Dave Grohl having the time of his life. What a bandes after the

:05:47.:05:52.

disappointment two years ago when Florence stepped in, I'm sure they

:05:53.:05:55.

were delighted with that, and a lovely tribute to Florence at the

:05:56.:06:01.

start. Dedicating the first tractor was a nice touch. Be online for a

:06:02.:06:06.

little while so, if you want to relive the set and the fireworks for

:06:07.:06:10.

a little while, beautiful things from the Foo Fighters. Now we're

:06:11.:06:16.

going over to the Other Stage, where Alt-J were headlining tonight, and

:06:17.:06:20.

who would have thought that the understated sound of Alt-J would

:06:21.:06:24.

headline the Other Stage at Glastonbury? Absolutely, but here

:06:25.:06:27.

they are, bringing it to the Other Stage. We are Alt-J.

:06:28.:06:34.

# Pool, summer, summer, pool, pool summer

# Pool, summer, summer, pool, pool summer

:13:33.:13:41.

The adorably nerdy Alt-J, doing a brilliant job headlining the Other

:13:42.:14:04.

Stage. I know what you mean, not every band can have a binary solo in

:14:05.:14:11.

one of their recent songs, which they do, and also bust out a

:14:12.:14:15.

glockenspiel in the middle of the set and do it confidently as a

:14:16.:14:19.

headliner but why not. Add up against Foo Fighters as well. A

:14:20.:14:25.

tough gig. Some live music now from Manchester. He bought a ticket for

:14:26.:14:30.

Glastonbury, he is therefore a lovely time and he's been booked for

:14:31.:14:34.

a couple of gigs, including one right now. This is Tom Walker.

:14:35.:14:52.

# I'm going out tonight # You could come to mine,

:14:53.:15:02.

# Probably get enough for the bus, # By what a time to be alive

:15:03.:15:08.

# Four bottles down my neck, I'm feeling them fine

:15:09.:15:14.

# Let's hear it for the good times # Been counting down

:15:15.:15:20.

# Don't take us too long # Because our lives ain't like a

:15:21.:15:25.

movie, # Of a song

:15:26.:15:29.

# Counting our blessings # Because we got friends to lean on

:15:30.:15:37.

Thank you very much Tom for coming to play for us, Blessings, he is a

number one Foo Fighters fan. A massive Foo Fighters fan but you

:18:11.:18:15.

have to watch a bit of it with us, thank you for coming. Really

:18:16.:18:20.

appreciate it. We are up here at the park. You can see the ribbon tower,

headliners from the park stage, just behind us here, right now. This is

Tonight's Parkhead liners war paint, playing here earlier this 've neck,

if you are unfamiliar with the Glastonbury experience, just behind

us you see flame, don't by a alarmed for those of you who haven't watched

:25:43.:25:46.

before, that is the spider in Arcadia, it is just a giant scrap

:25:47.:25:52.

metal arachnid that be strides the festival and belches flames into the

:25:53.:25:56.

sky. I like that, a belch of flame. I like that. Who doesn't. We are

:25:57.:26:02.

going to head over to the John Peel Stage, the headliners are the

:26:03.:26:05.

wonderful Phoenix from France that, I have just released their new

:26:06.:26:08.

album, and this is what they looked and sounded like tonight.

:26:09.:26:51.

# Why you keep pretending that you wanna let go?

:26:52.:26:55.

# Loud volume turn to low low low low low low

:26:56.:27:07.

# What you want and what you do to me

# I'll take the trouble let you have my mind

:28:33.:28:38.

CHEERING French pop heroes Phoenix headlining

:28:39.:30:27.

the John Peel tent tonight. Brilliant line up there actually.

:30:28.:30:30.

You can check out anything you missed on the website. That's the

:30:31.:30:36.

best place to go and catch up with anything that you might have missed.

:30:37.:30:40.

If you are looking at us and wondering, why is there a beautiful

:30:41.:30:46.

bearded gentleman betwixt you? Thanks, Lauren! There are now two.

:30:47.:30:51.

Also, a pile of broken glass in front of you. Well, it will be clear

:30:52.:30:56.

that we have reached the upsetting point of the evening when cabaret is

:30:57.:31:01.

about to happen. People are visibly blanching around the studio at what

:31:02.:31:07.

is about to occur. It is Mr Logan from Belfast. Where are you based?

:31:08.:31:14.

Circus and theatre tents. What is happening next, Logi? I'm going to

:31:15.:31:24.

show you a trick using the glass. Are you sure? I've seen this done

:31:25.:31:29.

before. ... Right. OK, it's Glastonbury, it's fine. You know

:31:30.:31:38.

what you're doing, right? We are ready, Logi, if you are. We are

:31:39.:31:41.

going to do a single trip and need a volunteer. I'm up for it. First, the

:31:42.:31:50.

glass. One of the things about the glass is you have to be very careful

:31:51.:31:53.

on it. You can't just jump about or walk in and around. To start, you

:31:54.:32:02.

want to be nice and slow. Evenly spreading your weight. If you start

:32:03.:32:09.

jumping up and down and things like that, it can really damage your

:32:10.:32:12.

feet, so nice and gentle. The trick with going to try and show off is

:32:13.:32:18.

where I'm going to lie down on the glass and you're going to stand on

:32:19.:32:27.

top of me. Are you sure? Yes. I am really upset. I am really upset

:32:28.:32:35.

right now. And this is proper glass. This is all the glass that was

:32:36.:32:40.

confiscated on the way in. At least it's gone to some good use.

:32:41.:32:44.

Recycling, part of the Glastonbury ethos. Yes, you preserve your

:32:45.:32:49.

modesty! He's all right. Be very careful in that whole area.

:32:50.:33:00.

Oh, my goodness. I dislike this. What I'm going to get you to do,

:33:01.:33:09.

you're going to stand up... Can I hold your beard? We can't hear you

:33:10.:33:15.

with your beard there. I was saying...

:33:16.:33:25.

UNCLEAR SPEECH. Are you sure you want me to stand on you? I'm a big

:33:26.:33:32.

boy. Will you hold me, Lauren? Can I hold your hand? It's quite springy,

:33:33.:33:42.

isn't it? Oh, that's nice. Perfect. You sure? Yeah. Oh! You all right?

:33:43.:33:56.

I'm good. I don't like it! You are really wobbly, weirdly! Can we go to

:33:57.:34:03.

storm the edge Stormzy? I think we should. OK, I'm going to come down

:34:04.:34:13.

now, Logi. All right, let's go and check out Stormzy. He was on the

:34:14.:34:14.

Other Stage earlier. I'm upset. In the way more energy. One, two,

:34:15.:34:37.

three. # I've got the big size

:34:38.:34:46.

twelves on my feet # Dem boy dere tried

:34:47.:34:47.

twist up the truth # How dare you twist

:34:48.:34:52.

# Dem boy dere tried twist up the truth

:37:52.:37:58.

Have we all still got energy though, Glastonbury?

:37:59.:38:26.

It was such a brilliant set. I was lucky enough to sneak out and watch

:38:27.:38:33.

it from the front, Stormzy on the Other Stage earlier. If you're

:38:34.:38:37.

watching earlier, there was a lot of talk on Twitter about how he broke

:38:38.:38:41.

BBC Two with some technical difficulties, so we were reassuring

:38:42.:38:46.

part of the set. Just a reminder that you can catch up with

:38:47.:38:51.

everything on the website. Look, Logi is there and his back is

:38:52.:38:56.

remarkably intact, but I just found a shard. We are glad you are OK.

:38:57.:39:03.

Don't try this at home, because Logi is a professional, aren't you? Yes.

:39:04.:39:08.

As professional as you can be when it comes to lying on glass so, if

:39:09.:39:11.

you haven't done the training, don't do it. More music now, I think, and

:39:12.:39:17.

it's actually music and an interesting part of the festival.

:39:18.:39:22.

This is the fairground. Yasser is there filming kind of nocturnal

:39:23.:39:28.

spectacular for us, which will be on TV for you tomorrow, but he popped

:39:29.:39:32.

down earlier to check it out before the action kicks off. We are at the

:39:33.:39:43.

un-fairground. What's going on? What is this? It began about eight years

:39:44.:39:48.

ago, I suppose. Essentially, it's imagination. You can't deny the

:39:49.:39:55.

liberty of imagination. You make it, build it and do it and nobody can

:39:56.:40:00.

say anything about it. Every year, there is a different take on the

:40:01.:40:03.

creative direction. What was it this year? This year we have Inky from

:40:04.:40:12.

Bristol, a friend of ours. And they can do what they want on a large

:40:13.:40:17.

scale. ... Coming here in the daytime, I've got to say that some

:40:18.:40:22.

of these are quite creepy. My imagination can only guess what it's

:40:23.:40:29.

like. Children love it! But what happens at night? This is like this

:40:30.:40:36.

in the daytime. I think that lying bastards will be something to look

:40:37.:40:41.

at. Drag the hippies out of the crowd and send them to heaven. --

:40:42.:40:49.

the flying busts will be something to look at. Thank you to Yasser,

:40:50.:41:00.

having a lovely time while we are here. Eat out and about seeing what

:41:01.:41:05.

is going on and we will hear from him later in the show. And more from

:41:06.:41:10.

the un-fairground tomorrow. Time now for music from an artist making her

:41:11.:41:12.

debut at Glastonbury. APPLAUSE

:41:13.:45:01.

The fabulous sound there, her new album is out now. You play her or

:45:02.:45:07.

your radio show? I haven't. It's a brand-new discovery I should have

:45:08.:45:10.

caught her on later. Thank you for coming to play. We will head over to

:45:11.:45:18.

the West Holt stage. A dumb of years ago her sister Beyonce headlined

:45:19.:45:23.

Glastonbury but today it was about Solange.

:45:24.:46:22.

Thank you! Absolutely amazing, at the West Holt stage, such a

:49:37.:49:48.

fantastic line up there, if I had to pick one stage to hang out at it

:49:49.:49:51.

would be that one, don't forget anything you have missed you can

:49:52.:49:56.

catch up with on the iPlayer and the website. And Foo Fighters did a

:49:57.:50:03.

brilliant job tonight. Tomorrow it is about Ed Sheeran and Barry Gibb

son. We are back 6pm on BBC Two, tomorrow with Barry Gibb and a lot

of Chic. See you then. Let's get the party started. Come
