More than a woman. Why would I be without my woman? I can go without.

:00:16.:00:25.

It has got to be how deep is your Love? Crewe how can you choose? That

:00:26.:00:34.

Massachusetts on. Early Bee Gees are mega, they are up there with the

:00:35.:00:35.

Beatles. Hello and welcome back to glorious

:00:36.:00:56.

Glastonbury, day three, and as you can see, the sun is shining on site.

:00:57.:01:00.

It is looking as beautiful as it sounds right here on Worthy farm.

:01:01.:01:05.

Lovely to be back with you, I hope you are ready for some fantastic

:01:06.:01:10.

music, we have plenty of it. We certainly have, a marvellous

:01:11.:01:14.

afternoon, the sun has shone on the legends. As you know, Sunday

:01:15.:01:17.

afternoon, Sunday tea-time is the legend slot. This year, Barry Gibb,

:01:18.:01:22.

that art guests have just been mentioning. They did not mention

:01:23.:01:30.

Tragedy. Trafalgar, what a gem. We have two legends in the show,

:01:31.:01:34.

back-to-back. If you haven't slept your disco pants on yet, please do,

:01:35.:01:38.

you will need them today, it is Barry Gibb followed by Chic, I

:01:39.:01:44.

repeat, Barry Gibb followed by Chic on the programme. Later on you will

:01:45.:01:50.

be able to check out Pyramid Stage headliner, Ed Sheeran, but we are

:01:51.:01:55.

going to be dancing. It has been a dry Glastonbury, which is always a

:01:56.:01:57.

joy, here is the story so far. CHEERING and APPLAUSE there you go,

:01:58.:03:09.

a flavour of what has been going on, it has been dry, we haven't needed

:03:10.:03:13.

our wellies. I have talked to a couple people who say, do you know

:03:14.:03:19.

what, I sort of miss the mud. You massive idiots, it has been

:03:20.:03:22.

brilliant to walk around the site and enjoy it all. People get

:03:23.:03:25.

superstitious about the weather, they say we just want a bit of

:03:26.:03:31.

spitting, just to get the dust down. No, none of that, sunshine all the

:03:32.:03:35.

way, please. Don't forget, BBC Four is also covering the action here at

:03:36.:03:41.

Glastonbury Festival, you can check out Rag N Bone Man and Shaggy. I

:03:42.:03:46.

think we are going to have Rag N Bone Man now. Let's have a little

:03:47.:03:52.

taste of his set which you can catch later in full on BBC Four.

:03:53.:04:17.

# Maybe I'm foolish, maybe I'm blind

:04:18.:04:19.

# Thinking I can see through this and see what's behind

:04:20.:04:21.

# Got no way to prove it so maybe I'm blind

:04:22.:04:23.

# But I'm only human after all, I'm only human after all

:04:24.:04:33.

# Take a look in the mirror and what do you see

:04:34.:04:45.

# Do you see it clearer or are you deceived

:04:46.:04:50.

# Cos I'm only human after all, you're only human after all

:04:51.:04:59.

# Some people got the real problems

:05:00.:05:11.

# Some people think I can solve them

:05:12.:05:19.

# I'm only human after all, I'm only human after all

:05:20.:05:27.

# Don't ask my opinion, don't ask me to lie

:05:28.:05:39.

# For making you cry, making you cry

:05:40.:05:48.

# Cos I'm only human after all, I'm only human after all

:05:49.:05:52.

# Don't put your blame on me, don't put the blame on me

:05:53.:06:03.

# Some people got the real problems

:06:04.:06:06.

# Some people think I can solve them

:06:07.:06:12.

# I'm only human after all, I'm only human after all.

:06:13.:06:21.

# That's all it takes to put the blame on me

:06:22.:06:38.

# Should go looking somewhere higher

:06:39.:07:05.

# I'm only human after all, I'm only human after all

:07:06.:07:15.

# Don't put the blame on me, don't put the blame on me

:07:16.:07:22.

# I'm just a man, I do what I can

:07:23.:07:28.

Thank you so much for your love, Glastonbury.

:07:29.:07:57.

That's Rag N Bone Man come you don't see many of them nowadays. It is so

:07:58.:08:03.

much more soulful, not what I was expecting when I first heard him,

:08:04.:08:08.

but now a stall of the pop charts. When I was growing up in Bolton, I

:08:09.:08:14.

am sure it was the same to you, Rag N Bone Man. And here he is, having

:08:15.:08:21.

brought his horse and cart to Glastonbury. Steptoe and son, he is

:08:22.:08:26.

about the most famous one. Time for some music, and who better to give

:08:27.:08:31.

that to stand this year's emerging talent winner. Glastonbury Festival

:08:32.:08:34.

every year holds a competition to find the hottest new act around and

:08:35.:08:38.

we have this year's when a committee has been working very hard on site

:08:39.:08:41.

doing lots of different shows, but delighted he has found time to

:08:42.:08:44.

perform here, please welcome, Josh Barry.

:08:45.:08:47.

# People running, always running, where they go, scared of stopping

:08:48.:09:08.

# Can't even escape my mind, I'm just trying to stabilise, oh no, no.

:09:09.:09:22.

# Nothing left to take away, all my faith.

:09:23.:09:24.

# When I'm grown, maybe I will understand a little more.

:09:25.:09:36.

# When I'm old, will you tell me when my judgment's going to come?

:09:37.:09:51.

# Bruising, burning, ever earning, I shall learn.

:09:52.:09:58.

# Never listen, in my prison, why's it so?

:09:59.:10:09.

Erik everything that I've been hearing slowly is disappearing.

:10:10.:10:14.

# When I'm grown, maybe I will understand a little more.

:10:15.:10:21.

# When I'm old, won't you tell me when my judgment's going to come?

:10:22.:10:28.

# When I'm grown, maybe I will understand.

:10:29.:10:31.

# When I'm old, won't you tell me when my judgment's going to come?

:10:32.:10:52.

# Nothing at all, nothing at all, no, no.

:10:53.:11:13.

# Always wishing, something missing #

:11:14.:11:40.

CHEERING and APPLAUSE. There you go, that is Josh Barry, how has it been

:11:41.:11:53.

going, how has your Glastonbury bean? Very busy, show number seven.

:11:54.:11:58.

Amazing though, thank you for having me. Had you been before a queue

:11:59.:12:03.

times? Yes, I did it with Corgan city two years back, that was just

:12:04.:12:11.

one show. A bit easier. Was the final in Filton working men 's club?

:12:12.:12:16.

Yes, that is an interesting place. So going from there to playing seven

:12:17.:12:21.

shows at last a break incredible. Yes, the manic, my manager and

:12:22.:12:26.

everyone around me, these guys especially, seven shows is a lot.

:12:27.:12:30.

You need a lot of sleep, put it that way. Catch up next week. We will see

:12:31.:12:39.

you in the charts in the next few days. Thank you.

:12:40.:12:43.

So here we go, perhaps one day in the legend spot will be Josh Barry,

:12:44.:12:50.

aged 60 or 70, it is possible. Anything is possible, absolutely.

:12:51.:12:55.

And we have another Barry in the legend spot this year, it is all

:12:56.:12:58.

about Barry Gibb on the Pyramid Stage this afternoon. It has been a

:12:59.:13:02.

fantastic set, and we bring it to you right now.

:13:03.:13:05.

His match domain, glimmering smile and strides are synonymous with 70s

:13:06.:13:17.

six appeal. But Barry Gibb is not just a master of high-pitched

:13:18.:13:21.

perfection. One third of band of brothers, the Bee Gees, he is also

:13:22.:13:24.

one of the great songwriters in history. You couldn't stay out of

:13:25.:13:32.

the studio, and we didn't know whether what we were doing was going

:13:33.:13:35.

to be successful or not, but we have to keep doing it. The brothers Gibb

:13:36.:13:40.

had a marked resemblance to the Fab four when they made their top 20

:13:41.:13:49.

debut in 1967. And later that year, they scored their first UK number

:13:50.:13:51.

one with Massachusetts. # Analytes all went out in

:13:52.:13:57.

Massachusetts... The 70s got off to a slow start for

:13:58.:14:08.

the ban. But as disco dawned, the trio were back on form, with an

:14:09.:14:14.

endless flow of funky floor fillers. Their songs for the film Saturday

:14:15.:14:16.

Night Fever soundtrack the late 70s. And in four years, the Bee Gees

:14:17.:14:34.

racked up eight US number ones. As the disco era faded, Barry and the

:14:35.:14:40.

boys turned to penning hits for the likes of Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick

:14:41.:14:48.

and Kenny Rogers. They staged a smooth synth comeback in the 80s.

:14:49.:14:56.

And 60s single, to love somebody, became one of the most covered songs

:14:57.:15:00.

of all time. Losing brother Morris in 2003 and

:15:01.:15:15.

Robin in 2012, Barry is the last surviving BG. I had very vivid

:15:16.:15:20.

dreams of my brother. You see your brother and he is talking to the way

:15:21.:15:24.

he always is, you want to go on stage, I was up for it and that was

:15:25.:15:33.

the dream. Barry made a brief appearance last year at Worthy Farm

:15:34.:15:39.

with Chris Martin and chums. But today he's back for a full Sunday

:15:40.:15:46.

afternoon singalong. You don't consider doing the legend spot, they

:15:47.:15:49.

ask you to do it, and if they ask you to do it, that is too much of an

:15:50.:15:54.

honour, you cannot not do it. So pull out your flares, dust off that

:15:55.:15:58.

medallion and show me some chest hair. Bee Gees's Barry Gibb on the

:15:59.:16:04.

Pyramid Stage. I have got a couple of songs I am thinking of doing.

:16:05.:16:28.

Thank you all very, very much, and good afternoon,

:16:29.:25:04.

You don't know how beautiful you all look from here.

:25:05.:25:10.

And it's a pleasure to be here, and an honour to be here

:25:11.:25:13.

The last time was with Chris Martin and Coldplay,

:25:14.:25:25.

and that was just a glimpse, for me, but a great honour,

:25:26.:25:29.

OK, let's get it to the time, what do we call it, time

:25:30.:25:37.

# Good morning Mr Sunshine, you brighten up my day

:25:38.:26:06.

# I see you every morning, outside the restaurants

:26:07.:26:30.

# Good morning Mr Sunshine, you brighten up my day

:26:31.:28:04.

Let us do something nice and romantic.

:28:05.:30:44.

# I can think of younger days when living for my life

:30:45.:30:47.

# Was everything a man could want to do

:30:48.:30:49.

# But I was never told about the sorrows

:30:50.:31:01.

# How can you stop the rain from falling down?

:31:02.:31:13.

# How can you stop the sun from shining?

:31:14.:31:22.

# Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again

:31:23.:31:55.

# I can still feel the breeze that rustles through the trees

:31:56.:32:01.

# No-one said a word about the sorrow

:32:02.:32:23.

# And how can you mend a broken heart?

:32:24.:32:28.

# How can you stop the rain from falling down?

:32:29.:32:36.

# How can you stop the sun from shining?

:32:37.:32:42.

# And how can you mend this broken man?

:32:43.:32:54.

# Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again

:32:55.:33:15.

# Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again

:33:16.:33:39.

# I want my life to be lived with you

:33:40.:34:51.

# You don't know what it's like, baby

:34:52.:35:30.

# And I'm blind, so so sorrily blind

:35:31.:36:28.

# You don't know what it's like, baby

:36:29.:37:01.

It's been a good few months since I've heard an audience at all,

:37:02.:38:55.

that's remarkable, thank you very, very much.

:38:56.:38:59.

So I don't know if you're aware of it or not, but this

:39:00.:39:02.

is the 40th anniversary of a certain movie.

:39:03.:39:06.

And we sort of have to perform some of that stuff, and this song

:39:07.:39:22.

is probably the most remembered, because it became some kind

:39:23.:39:30.

of an anthem for CPR, and it's just maybe about the tempo,

:39:31.:39:32.

I've got a couple of Sgt Pepper jackets, OK, but that's about it.

:39:33.:39:49.

OK, let's get on with this, hope you enjoy it.

:39:50.:40:09.

OK, I'd like to bring my eldest son to the stage now,

:40:10.:44:19.

OK, I'd like to bring my eldest son to the stage now,

:44:20.:44:35.

this is my eldest son over here, Stephen.

:44:36.:44:41.

And we're going to do a song that my brother, Robin,

:44:42.:44:44.

but we always enjoy playing it, it's called I've Gotta

:44:45.:44:54.

# The preacher talked with me and he smiled,

:44:55.:45:14.

# Said, "Come and walk with me, come and walk one more mile.

:45:15.:45:20.

# Now for once in your life you're alone,

:45:21.:45:26.

# But you ain't got a dime, there's no time for the phone."

:45:27.:45:32.

# I've just got to get a message to you, hold on, hold on.

:45:33.:45:43.

# One more hour and my life will be through, hold on, hold on.

:45:44.:45:59.

# But if I broke her heart, won't you tell her I'm sorry.

:46:00.:46:10.

# And for once in my life I'm alone,

:46:11.:46:17.

# And I've got to let her know just in time before I go.

:46:18.:46:22.

# I've just go to get a message to you, hold on, hold on.

:46:23.:46:33.

# One more hour and my life will be through, hold on, hold on.

:46:34.:46:48.

# Well, I laughed but that didn't hurt,

:46:49.:46:54.

# And it's only her love that keeps me wearing this dirt.

:46:55.:47:00.

# Now I'm crying but deep down inside,

:47:01.:47:06.

# Well I did it to him, now it's my turn to die.

:47:07.:47:12.

# I've just got to get a message to you, hold on, hold on.

:47:13.:47:23.

# One more hour and my life will be through, hold on, hold on.

:47:24.:47:44.

OK, time to go back to that film again.

:47:45.:47:48.

OK, time to go back to that film again.

:47:49.:48:05.

By the way, it was called Saturday Night Fever,

:48:06.:48:08.

OK, this is my favourite song from that film.

:48:09.:48:17.

# I know your eyes in the morning sun

:48:18.:48:45.

# I feel you touch me in the pouring rain

:48:46.:48:50.

# And the moment that you wander far from me

:48:51.:48:55.

# And you come to me on a summer breeze

:48:56.:49:04.

# Keep me warm in your love then you softly leave

:49:05.:49:09.

# 'Cause we're living in a world of fools

:49:10.:49:27.

# You're the light in my deepest darkest hour

:49:28.:49:51.

# 'Cause we're living in a world of fools

:49:52.:50:22.

# Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da

:50:23.:50:52.

# And you come to me on a summer breeze

:50:53.:50:57.

# Keep me warm in your love then you softly leave

:50:58.:51:01.

# 'Cause we're living in a world of fools

:51:02.:51:19.

# 'Cause we're living in a world of fools

:51:20.:51:49.

This is the song, this was the first song that we ever heard

:51:50.:52:38.

Not so sure you're familiar with it, but I certainly am,

:52:39.:52:43.

so let's give it a shot, it's called Spicks and Specks.

:52:44.:52:47.

And I want to bring Beth to the stage, so we can pay tribute

:52:48.:56:19.

to a couple of wonderful female artists that I've had

:56:20.:56:23.

the opportunity of working with, and there's nobody better than Beth

:56:24.:56:25.

Hang on a minute, I always have trouble pulling these things out.

:56:26.:56:32.

# Shadows falling, baby, we stand alone

:56:33.:57:09.

# Out on the street, anybody you meet got

:57:10.:57:14.

# Make it a crime to be lonely or sad

:57:15.:57:22.

# You battle on with the love you're living on

:57:23.:57:32.

# Our love will climb any mountain near or far

:57:33.:57:54.

# Eyes can see that we got a highway to the sky

:57:55.:58:18.

# I don't want to hear your goodbye.

:58:19.:58:36.

# Little by little we meet in the middle

:58:37.:58:45.

# Make it a crime to be out in the cold

:58:46.:58:54.

# You battle on with the love you're building on

:58:55.:59:05.

# Eyes can see that we got a highway to the sky

:59:06.:59:52.

# Eyes can see that we got a highway to the sky

:59:53.:00:45.

OK, here's a song that Kenny sang on his own a couple of years back,

:00:46.:01:27.

and I don't think Dolly sang it, but I know that Kenny did.

:01:28.:01:31.

# Baby, when I met you there was peace unknown

:01:32.:01:43.

# I set out to get you with a fine tooth comb

:01:44.:01:48.

# I was soft inside, there was somethin' going on

:01:49.:01:59.

# You do something to me that I can't explain

:02:00.:02:03.

# Makin' love with each other, ah-ah

:02:04.:02:34.

# Sail away with me to another world

:02:35.:02:48.

# I can't live without you if the love was gone

:02:49.:03:06.

# Everything is nothin' if you got no one

:03:07.:03:11.

# Slowly losing sight of the real thing

:03:12.:03:19.

# But that won't happen to us and we got no doubt

:03:20.:03:23.

# Too deep in love and we got no way out

:03:24.:03:26.

# This could be the year for the real thing

:03:27.:03:35.

# We start and end as one, in love forever

:03:36.:03:44.

# Makin' love with each other, ah-ah

:03:45.:03:55.

# Sail away with me to another world

:03:56.:04:06.

# Sail away with me to another world

:04:07.:04:49.

Here's a couple you will never remember, OK?

:04:50.:06:07.

# There is something goin' down And I can feel it

:06:08.:06:16.

# Gimme that night fever Night fever

:06:17.:06:45.

# Gimme that night fever Night fever

:06:46.:07:20.

# We can take forever just a minute at a time

:07:21.:08:14.

# Do do do do More than a woman

:08:15.:08:17.

# More than a woman More than a woman

:08:18.:08:39.

# Do do do do More than a woman

:08:40.:08:59.

# Here we are in the room full of strangers

:09:00.:10:15.

# Standing in the dark where your eyes couldn't see me

:10:16.:10:25.

# Blaming it all on the nights on Broadway

:10:26.:10:49.

# Singin' them straight to the heart songs

:10:50.:10:55.

# Blamin' it all on the nights on Broadway

:10:56.:10:59.

# How long will they stand between us?

:11:00.:11:25.

# Blaming it all on the nights on Broadway

:11:26.:11:46.

# Singin' them straight to the heart songs

:11:47.:11:57.

# Blamin' it all on the nights on Broadway

:11:58.:11:59.

# Even if it takes a life time, takes a life time

:12:00.:13:04.

# Blaming it all on the nights on Broadway

:13:05.:13:09.

# Singin' them straight to the heart songs

:13:10.:13:13.

# Blamin' it all on the nights on Broadway

:13:14.:13:20.

# Blaming it all on the nights on Broadway

:13:21.:13:32.

# Singin' them straight to the heart songs

:13:33.:13:35.

# Blamin' it all on the nights on Broadway

:13:36.:13:37.

Let me introduce you to my guys, my gang.

:13:38.:14:12.

Our three ladies, Charlotte, Lisa and Beth.

:14:13.:14:33.

That's my gang, John Merchant, thank you so much.

:14:34.:14:49.

And my daughter, Ali, who's actually on the videos,

:14:50.:14:53.

gives me little cues, here and there.

:14:54.:14:58.

She is wonderful and I love her, and I love them all, my family.

:14:59.:15:01.

OK, shall I take this thing off?

:15:02.:15:27.

I hope you've enjoyed all of this as much as we have playing it,

:15:28.:15:36.

This song, I'd like to dedicate, always, to my wife, Linda.

:15:37.:15:53.

But also I'd like to dedicate this to the people of Manchester,

:15:54.:16:05.

the people of London, and just, you know, this

:16:06.:16:09.

# 'Cause that would bring a tear to me

:16:10.:16:45.

# Now, my love, right now there'll be

:16:46.:16:59.

# It's only words, and words are all

:17:00.:17:54.

# And you think that I don't even mean

:17:55.:18:33.

# It's only words, and words are all I have

:18:34.:18:46.

# It's only words, and words are all I have

:18:47.:18:53.

# It's only words, and words are all I have

:18:54.:19:10.

# It's only words, and words are all I have

:19:11.:19:35.

Thank you, thank you for the life experience, just amazing.

:19:36.:19:46.

CHANTING: "BARRY, WEAR THE JACKET, LA LA LA LA!"

:19:47.:20:33.

Someone give it to me, it'd be a pleasure to put it on.

:20:34.:20:43.

# In a world of tears I slowly drown

:20:44.:22:32.

# When the feeling's gone and you can't go on

:22:33.:22:53.

# When the morning cries and you don't know why

:22:54.:23:00.

# When you lose control and you got no soul

:23:01.:23:10.

# When the morning cries and you don't know why

:23:11.:23:13.

# There's a burning down inside of me

:23:14.:23:56.

# With a yearning that won't let me be

:23:57.:24:04.

# And I just can't take it all alone

:24:05.:24:09.

# When the feeling's gone and you can't go on

:24:10.:24:27.

# When the morning cries and you don't know why

:24:28.:24:31.

# When you lose control and you got no soul

:24:32.:24:43.

# When the morning cries and you don't know why

:24:44.:24:46.

# When the morning cries and you don't know why

:24:47.:25:23.

# When you lose control and you got no soul

:25:24.:25:36.

# When the morning cries and you don't know why

:25:37.:25:39.

You guys have been the best, thank you

:25:40.:26:27.

for the experience of a lifetime, and I hope to see you again soon.

:26:28.:26:31.

Amazing. Magical. You can't ask for much more than that. Beautiful

:26:32.:27:10.

weather, a quality band, a song book, almost beyond, you know equal

:27:11.:27:16.

and a lovely personality, I mean genuinely moved by being here. The

:27:17.:27:21.

lads in the audience handing the jacket up and him putting it on.

:27:22.:27:29.

What a touch, it was magical. Fantastic set and Jo Whiley got to

:27:30.:27:33.

catch up with him. And everybody gets involved and like the security

:27:34.:27:38.

guards in the pit doing that dance. I saw them rehearsing that round the

:27:39.:27:41.

side of the Pyramid Stage, I saw them doing the Tragedy dance. I

:27:42.:27:44.

thought this is going to be excellent. And it was just a

:27:45.:27:48.

wonderful atmosphere, genuinely it was, I saw the Jacksons last night

:27:49.:27:51.

with a quality song book and this today, we still have Chic to come.

:27:52.:27:56.

Jo has been catching up with him as he came off stage.

:27:57.:28:00.

Barry Gibb, you have played on the Pyramid Stage, and that was a

:28:01.:28:04.

triumph, a triumph. Thank you. How was it for you? Shocking, because

:28:05.:28:09.

they were completely in the spirit of it, and you know, watching young

:28:10.:28:13.

kids singing those songs after all these year, that is a great feeling

:28:14.:28:20.

too. OK, I remember interviewing Lionel Richie when he came off, he

:28:21.:28:23.

was almost speechless and couldn't believe the size of the crowd. Same

:28:24.:28:27.

thing, it has been about three or four Mondays since I have had the

:28:28.:28:31.

opportunity to go on stage, you know, so, so the band is wonderful,

:28:32.:28:36.

and, we are looking to do another gig. How does it compare going out

:28:37.:28:42.

on your own? Do you get nervous? Of course, every show is a terrifying

:28:43.:28:46.

experience until that first song. And when you know that first song,

:28:47.:28:51.

it is working, and the crowd is smiling, and you just know, so it is

:28:52.:28:55.

like, you know, we have been doing this, or I have for 50 year, you

:28:56.:29:01.

know, so, yeah, I look round and I don't see my brothers and you have

:29:02.:29:05.

to deal with all of that. But I have done, and you can't live on that,

:29:06.:29:08.

you know. But I never stop thinking they are standing next to me, that

:29:09.:29:11.

is always there. Particularly on a day like today, which is a very

:29:12.:29:17.

emotional day. It is a mixture of feelings, bitter-sweet, you know.

:29:18.:29:21.

Great moments, I think of the times when we wrote those songs, the

:29:22.:29:26.

collaboration, the conflict, of coming up with lyric, those moments

:29:27.:29:31.

never go away. They would have loved it. Of course they would. It is

:29:32.:29:34.

something they would have dreamed of doing too. How you feeling? Ready.

:29:35.:29:41.

But I don't know what for. Ready for a sit down, a drink. Ready for

:29:42.:29:45.

something. Did you hear from Chris Martin this morn something No. I

:29:46.:29:51.

wondered whether he had made conxxxx contact. We haven't spoken since

:29:52.:29:55.

that night. This is the never ending tour. But I look forward to speaking

:29:56.:30:00.

to him at some point. Maybe you will get a call, a gig review after. I

:30:01.:30:03.

don't know. I don't know, I think they are very busy. It is all about

:30:04.:30:09.

you. Yes, but I am a fan, so it's all right. Congratulations, well

:30:10.:30:13.

done, it was wonderful today, great sight. Thank you. Thank you so much.

:30:14.:30:20.

So touching, how poignant is that. It will be interesting to see, what

:30:21.:30:24.

happens in the chart, because often after the legends slot, you see

:30:25.:30:29.

people's back catalogue rocketing, lie Nel Richie hat his first number

:30:30.:30:34.

one in 25 careers in Britain after his performance, after that, today,

:30:35.:30:40.

who knows. Just memories of his brothers, and you were saying after

:30:41.:30:44.

the festival. Not only is he nice but everybody who came with him is

:30:45.:30:48.

amazing. That is what I heard from the team. He is one of the loveliest

:30:49.:30:53.

artists to work with. And big on family, clearly. While we are

:30:54.:30:57.

talking about family, can I say hello to my grandchildren, who have

:30:58.:31:02.

been watching, sent us a photo of watching grandad on the telly. We

:31:03.:31:07.

will head up to the west holds stage and check out Shaggy. It was

:31:08.:31:08.

definitely him. # Honey came in and she caught me

Glastonbury. Shaggy, sounding sensational in the

:35:56.:36:00.

sunshine up on the West Holts stage who've had the most fantastic

:36:01.:36:04.

line-up. I think if I had to pick one stage I would stick at, it

:36:05.:36:10.

would've been West Holts for me this year. If you want to check out

:36:11.:36:14.

anything you might have missed, there are over 100 performances you

:36:15.:36:17.

can watch online at bbc.co.uk/Glastonbury. I was there

:36:18.:36:21.

last night and watched the Jacksons. Another classic song catalogue.

:36:22.:36:29.

Another legends slot. And we had English National Opera opening up

:36:30.:36:33.

the other year And we had ear Ache but how about a bit of brass band

:36:34.:36:37.

music? LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY PLAYS Welcome

:36:38.:37:01.

to Queensberry the home of the Black Dyke Band. This has been the home of

:37:02.:37:08.

the band since 1855. It was here in the North that blahs bands began in

:37:09.:37:11.

the early 19th century. The mill owners and pit bosses realise the

:37:12.:37:14.

that workers' morale was boosted by music after a hard day's work. Into

:37:15.:37:24.

these are all amateurs. We are all amateur musicians.

:37:25.:37:25.

these are all amateurs. We are all amateur musicians. We have normal

:37:26.:37:30.

jobs. We are amateurs but like Olympicians. Because these are the

:37:31.:37:35.

very best. We've had many association was famous people over

:37:36.:37:42.

the years. Perhaps the most famous was Paul McCartney when he was with

:37:43.:37:58.

The Beatles. We recorded Yellow Sub marine and Thingy Me Bob. The band

:37:59.:38:02.

have typical concerts throughout the year. Glastonbury is fantastic for

:38:03.:38:07.

us. Something unique. We have not done a festival such as this. I'm

:38:08.:38:15.

looking forward to waking up all the hungover people from the night

:38:16.:38:19.

before with brass banding. Maybe that no-one has heard before and

:38:20.:38:22.

probably think is boring and we're going to show them it is not as

:38:23.:38:26.

boring as they think, it is quite exciting. Just to play on the stage

:38:27.:38:30.

will be phenomenal. Can't wait. We are a brass band, we're from

:38:31.:38:34.

Yorkshire, it is one of the things that Yorkshire does best. Morning.

:38:35.:38:45.

We'll get warmed up and psyched up and go on stage and smash it.

:38:46.:38:57.

When we walk on stage with our uniforms, golden lapels bow ties, I

:38:58.:39:06.

think there will be a few eyebrows raised. Good morning Glastonbury.

:39:07.:39:59.

APPLAUSE That was awesome, amazing I couldn't

:40:00.:40:39.

believe how the day went. They got me more excited. We'll probably have

:40:40.:40:45.

a well-deserved beer A great festival for music and performing a

:40:46.:40:49.

arts everywhere. We'll just go out and soak it all up.

:40:50.:40:57.

Just something about that sound that makes me want to join in. Whether it

:40:58.:41:06.

is a brass band or New Orleans Hot Air who were with us. It is like

:41:07.:41:10.

everybody, something is happening, join in and march. If I hear a brass

:41:11.:41:16.

band I have to walk in time. I liked she said - we're going to smash T

:41:17.:41:22.

why wouldn't they say it? Like any band on the Introducing Stage. We're

:41:23.:41:27.

going to have an acoustic. This was someone singing up a storm in

:41:28.:41:31.

rehearsal. Astonishing stuff. The most recent album is My Wild West.

:41:32.:41:37.

Originally from Illinois, this is Lissie.

:41:38.:41:47.

# I've got a feeling like I'm almost there

:41:48.:41:54.

# And I think I might belong somewhere

:41:55.:42:04.

# I've been disbelieving in my own heart

:42:05.:42:15.

# And the deceiving is the hardest part

:42:16.:42:22.

# And I feel the knowing that I must be going

:42:23.:42:29.

# Ojai, I don't wanna leave you behind

:42:30.:42:40.

# But you know that I made up my mind

:42:41.:42:46.

# So goodbye, I know I'm gonna see you again

:42:47.:42:56.

# And I'll be thinking of you until then, Ojai

:42:57.:43:07.

# I miss the seasons, I miss the land

:43:08.:43:16.

# I miss them for reasons I don't understand

:43:17.:43:18.

# Ojai, I don't wanna leave you behind

:43:19.:43:40.

# But you know that I made up my mind

:43:41.:43:45.

# So goodbye; I know I'm gonna see you again

:43:46.:43:58.

# And I'll be thinking of you until then, Ojai

:43:59.:44:08.

# Ojai, I don't wanna leave you behind

:44:09.:44:31.

# Ojai, I don't wanna leave you behind

:44:32.:44:37.

# But you know that I made up my mind

:44:38.:44:43.

# So goodbye, I know I'm gonna see you again

:44:44.:44:58.

# And I'll be thinking of you until then, Ojai #

:44:59.:45:03.

APPLAUSE Fantastic stuff from Lissie. How has

:45:04.:45:13.

your Glastonbury been? Awesome, short. I just got here yesterday but

:45:14.:45:19.

so much fun, magical. You live in Iowa? I bought a farm there noshgts

:45:20.:45:26.

eastern, it is great to be back on auto farm. You were in California?

:45:27.:45:32.

Yes and the move prompted me to write my Wild West. It is all about

:45:33.:45:37.

leaving California to go back to the Midwest where I'm from? You are

:45:38.:45:43.

happy there? Yes, close to family, learning about bee-keeping and

:45:44.:45:46.

gardening a lot. And learning more about the land and all that stuff

:45:47.:45:53.

so... Good, lovely to see you. Enjoy the rest of your week. Sensational,

:45:54.:46:02.

the pipes and the background there. We are minutes away, ladies and

:46:03.:46:05.

gentlemen, from Chic Chic who are coming up, but first, today's secret

:46:06.:46:11.

guests. Jo Whiley is with them in the Dome, back stage.

:46:12.:46:20.

How was it for you? It was a ruckus, it was good. We have good memories

:46:21.:46:30.

of that tent. So it was a bit nostalgic but it felt fresh. I feel

:46:31.:46:34.

good about it. Tell us about the memories? The first time we played

:46:35.:46:39.

there was about 13 years ago, and we, some kind of switch had been

:46:40.:46:44.

flipped we weren't aware of. When we came out the crowd was different and

:46:45.:46:49.

it has never been the same, it has always been that way since. Before

:46:50.:46:53.

then we we are earning it. Earning it, and now we are just spoiled I

:46:54.:46:58.

guess. In 2007 you said it would be the last time you would come to

:46:59.:47:03.

Glastonbury. I did not say that. You might have done. We had issues with

:47:04.:47:07.

the sound, it wasn't our fault. You chose that. We will be back next

:47:08.:47:12.

year. Headlining? I don't know. Playing the tent again. How does it

:47:13.:47:16.

feel to be together again, last time I saw you it was solo stuff and now

:47:17.:47:22.

all together? It feels good. Reading -- riding a bike. It feels natural

:47:23.:47:28.

As natural as slot machines in the laundry. If that makes any sense. It

:47:29.:47:34.

makes no sense. Have you ever done a festival and gone out in disguise. I

:47:35.:47:38.

have seen people who wear the bucket hats. You weren't Lord bucket head.

:47:39.:47:46.

I don't mind taking couple of hundred selfies. It probably makes

:47:47.:47:50.

you happy. We don't mind it. You used to talk a lot, you know. You

:47:51.:47:56.

have changed. I'm tired. I am on two hours sleep. Sum up what it was like

:47:57.:48:02.

today. Well, it was, it was daunting to walk out to what we walked out

:48:03.:48:08.

to. It was an impressive thing. It felt great. We have played Mr Bright

:48:09.:48:14.

side probably 1500 time, live, and I think that was the craziest it has

:48:15.:48:19.

ever been. It is... It must have been emotional. There is a thing

:48:20.:48:23.

that happens when you walk out on a stage like that, where, you are not

:48:24.:48:26.

in control of your own body, you feel yourself hitting things but you

:48:27.:48:30.

are not sure if you are the one doing it. It was that kind of...

:48:31.:48:35.

Experience. Well done on keeping it a secret. I don't think it was a

:48:36.:48:42.

secret. Car 1900. Here they are. These are the killers on John Peel

:48:43.:48:45.

and flashing images here, just to warn you.

:48:46.:48:49.

We're the killers. # Now I'm falling asleep

:48:50.:49:28.

And she's calling a cab # While he's having a smoke

:49:29.:49:32.

And she's taking a drag # And she's taking a drag

:49:33.:49:34.

And I've been doing just fine # Now they're going to bed

:49:35.:50:51.

And my stomach is sick CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:50:52.:52:54.

Lad alive, it has been all the hits today and if you want More Killers

:52:55.:53:02.

8pm BBC Four in full on your telly. But, do you really want do that is

:53:03.:53:06.

this we have the party started with Barry Gibb, and some disco classics

:53:07.:53:09.

and ballads to put you in the mood. But we can take you to the party to

:53:10.:53:16.

a hiring level, can't we. I have my disco pans on, let's do it. Nile

:53:17.:53:22.

Roger, Chic. What can you say. Put your hands together, everybody.

:53:23.:55:09.

Come on. # Everybody dance

:55:10.:55:15.

# Everybody dance

:55:16.:55:40.

# Bop-shoo-wa, bop-shoo-wa, bop-shoo-wa

:55:41.:56:25.

# Come on everybody, get on your feet

:56:26.:57:03.

# Everybody dance # Everybody dance

:57:04.:57:53.

thank you. I Want Your Love. Come on, everybody sing it with us.

:57:54.:59:35.

# To try my love and see how well it fits?

:59:36.:59:58.

# Baby, can't you see, when you look at me

:59:59.:00:01.

# I can't kick this feelin' when it hits

:00:02.:00:04.

# I grab my pillow and squeeze it tight

:00:05.:00:14.

# I think of you and I dream of you all the time

:00:15.:00:18.

# Sometime, don't you feel like you I want your love

:00:19.:00:42.

# Never really had a love that's real?

:00:43.:00:46.

# A better love you won't find today?

:00:47.:00:54.

# Just one chance and I will show you love

:00:55.:00:58.

# I want your lovin', please don't make me beg

:00:59.:01:12.

# I want your love, I want your love

:01:13.:02:05.

# Your lovely need #

:02:06.:02:20.

Woo # Yeah, yeah, yeah

:02:21.:02:47.

# You know what, it's time to get funky

:02:48.:02:47.

# It's time to get funky, yeah # I want your love,

:02:48.:04:32.

I want your love Yeah

:04:33.:04:37.

# I want your love# # Right now

:04:38.:05:42.

# Oh, yeah, yeah Give it up for the trumpet player

:05:43.:06:13.

and Miss Kimberly Davis on vocals. So, before we go on, I just got to

:06:14.:06:19.

say a little something. I've been here in London, in England for about

:06:20.:06:25.

ten days now and I got to be honest with you, it's been the most

:06:26.:06:29.

inspirational period of my life. I got here, I arrived the day after

:06:30.:06:38.

the horrible fire. A friend of mine called me up and he told me to come

:06:39.:06:43.

down andville tier. I have to be honest with you, I never saw such

:06:44.:06:48.

spirit as the spirit I saw with those volunteers. It was unreal,

:06:49.:06:53.

man. It was unreal. We packed clothing, we shipped clothing. I

:06:54.:06:56.

mean people's spirit, instead of what I was seeing on the television

:06:57.:07:01.

when I was flying over, seeing a bunch of people being angry and

:07:02.:07:04.

stuff, I saw a bunch of people who were full of love. They were filled

:07:05.:07:13.

with hope and I got to be honest with you, the pay that they treated

:07:14.:07:21.

me, I walked into the centre and the woman said to me - now Roger, I'm

:07:22.:07:28.

happy you are here, here's a pair of gloves, do some work! It was

:07:29.:07:34.

unbelievable. She had me packing clothing, doing clothing all sorts

:07:35.:07:37.

of things. I've got to be honest with you, her spir and the all of

:07:38.:07:42.

those volunteers d her spirit and all of those volunteers, brought a

:07:43.:07:47.

tear to my eye. It was like we were here last time, you guys made us all

:07:48.:07:53.

feel so welcome. I just want to thank you. You are a great country,

:07:54.:08:00.

great people, thank you so much. So, I don't want to be corny and bring

:08:01.:08:06.

you down, so I just want to say that I feel like a really, really happy

:08:07.:08:11.

man because I have, like the best job in the world. I get to write and

:08:12.:08:17.

produce songs for lots of really big stars and every now and then, some

:08:18.:08:24.

of those records go number one. Now I'm going ego trip and just play my

:08:25.:08:41.

number one records. I'm going to start off, we'll do a medley of some

:08:42.:08:49.

of my number ones. This is a song I did for Diana Ross. It's called I'm

:08:50.:08:54.

Coming Out. Here is the deal. When we get to the chore chorus, you guys

:08:55.:09:03.

have to sing with us. The lyrics are simple. "I'm coming out." You got

:09:04.:09:10.

it. Here we go you all, let's do this. One, two, one, two, three,

:09:11.:09:12.

and... # I'm coming out, I want

:09:13.:09:19.

the world to know # I'm coming out, I want

:09:20.:09:48.

the world to know # I'm coming out, I want

:09:49.:10:09.

the world to know # I got to let it

:10:10.:10:16.

show # There's a new me coming out,

:10:17.:10:22.

I just have to live # And I wanna give, I'm

:10:23.:10:25.

completely positive # I think this time around, I am

:10:26.:10:32.

gonna do it # The time has come for me

:10:33.:10:36.

to break out of the shell # I have to shout, "I am coming

:10:37.:10:46.

out" I'm coming out, # I want the world to know I got

:10:47.:10:48.

to let it show # I'm coming out, I want

:10:49.:10:54.

the world to know # I'm coming out, I want

:10:55.:10:59.

the world to know # I've got to show the world

:11:00.:11:02.

all that I wanna be # And all my abillities,

:11:03.:11:11.

there's so much more to me # Somehow, I have to make

:11:12.:11:13.

them just understand # I've got it well in hand and,

:11:14.:11:15.

oh, how I've planned # I'm spreading love,

:11:16.:11:17.

there is no need to fear # And I just feel so good

:11:18.:11:22.

every time I hear # I'm coming out, I want

:11:23.:11:26.

the world to know # I'm coming out, I want

:11:27.:11:30.

the world to know # Around and round

:11:31.:11:41.

you're turning me # Respectfully I see to thee I'm

:11:42.:12:51.

aware that you're cheating # When no one makes

:12:52.:13:28.

me feel like you do # As long as the sun

:13:29.:13:29.

continues to shine # There's a place in my heart

:13:30.:13:54.

for you that's the bottom line # Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah

:13:55.:13:56.

# Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah # One night in a disco

:13:57.:14:51.

on the outskirts of Frisco # I was cruisin'

:14:52.:15:06.

with my favourite gang # The place was so borin',

:15:07.:15:10.

filled with out-of-towners tourin' # I really wasn't carin'

:15:11.:15:14.

but I felt my eyes starin' # At a guy who stuck out

:15:15.:15:21.

in the crowd # He had the kind of body

:15:22.:15:26.

that would shame Adonis # And a face

:15:27.:15:31.

that would make any man proud # He's the greatest

:15:32.:15:35.

dancer # The champion of dance,

:15:36.:15:48.

his moves would put you in a trance # And he never leaves

:15:49.:15:56.

the disco alone # Arrogance but not conceit

:15:57.:16:00.

as a man he is complete # My creme de la creme,

:16:01.:16:04.

please take me home # He wears the finest clothes,

:16:05.:16:08.

the best designers, heaven knows # Ooo, from his head down

:16:09.:16:12.

to his toes # Hey, and we flock just

:16:13.:16:16.

like birds of a feather # All of the people

:16:17.:17:51.

around us they say # We're giving love

:17:52.:17:59.

in a family dose # I got all my sisters

:18:00.:18:05.

with me # Living life is fun

:18:06.:18:17.

and we've just begun # To get our share of

:18:18.:18:41.

the world's delights # Cause here's what we

:18:42.:18:47.

call our golden rule # Have faith in you

:18:48.:19:03.

and the things you do # Hey, hey we fry together

:19:04.:20:10.

# Like Birds of a Feather # Hey

:20:11.:20:18.

# Oh yeah # Hey

:20:19.:21:10.

Glastonbury make some noise. I said make some noise! Noise!

:21:11.:21:24.

CHEERING Kimberley...

:21:25.:21:58.

# Hey, yeah # Whoa...

:21:59.:22:26.

# Oh yeah # Oh yeah

:22:27.:22:32.

# We are family # We are family

:22:33.:22:39.

# Yes # We are family

:22:40.:22:46.

# Yes we are family # We are family

:22:47.:22:55.

# Oh yeah. # Thank you! Kimberley Davis, give it

:22:56.:23:05.

up for her y'all. We want do a song that we never ever

:23:06.:23:11.

get a chance to play, but the last time we were here you guys were so

:23:12.:23:16.

awesome it feels like we just do any old song we wan. This is a song from

:23:17.:23:23.

our third album. It's called My Feet Keep Dancing. I said it's called My

:23:24.:23:27.

Feet Keep Dancing. Dancing. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:23:28.:23:29.

Let's do it. # My feet keep dancing,

:23:30.:23:56.

dancing, dancing # I need some help,

:23:57.:24:07.

I get beside myself # And I got so many

:24:08.:24:09.

things in life to do # Like, reach for a star or maybe

:24:10.:24:16.

shoot ten under par # I'd like to do it

:24:17.:24:19.

all before I'm through # Fly into space or maybe

:24:20.:24:23.

save the human race # All these things

:24:24.:24:25.

seem so appealing # But I'll never get the chance,

:24:26.:24:31.

'cause all I do is dance # My mama said my

:24:32.:24:37.

brains are in my feet # My feet keep dancing,

:24:38.:24:48.

dancing, dancing # Papa told me, every night

:24:49.:25:03.

when he would scold me # He knew I'd never

:25:04.:25:04.

make him very proud # So I ran away from

:25:05.:25:07.

home to live all alone # And make myself

:25:08.:25:09.

a standout in the crowd # Then it hit, my

:25:10.:25:14.

ideas began to fit # I had to be what I

:25:15.:25:22.

was meant to be # Now my name is up in lights

:25:23.:25:24.

and I hoof here every night # They were right my

:25:25.:25:27.

brains are in my feet # My feet keep dancing,

:25:28.:25:57.

dancing, dancing # My feet keep dancing,

:25:58.:26:06.

dancing, dancing # Dancing, dancing

:26:07.:26:51.

dancing, dancing CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:26:52.:27:15.

Thank you. So, the last time we played here, was about four years

:27:16.:27:22.

ago. And at that time, I didn't share this with you, but a couple of

:27:23.:27:28.

years before that, my doctors had told me that I was suffering from

:27:29.:27:32.

extremely aggressive cancer, and that I needed to go home and get my

:27:33.:27:40.

affairs in order. So, I went home and I did a little thinking and I

:27:41.:27:44.

thought to myself, well I'm a musician, if I'm going to get my

:27:45.:27:48.

affairs in order what would that mean to me? Well, I happened to get

:27:49.:27:58.

a phone call from two French guys called Daft Punk and a gentleman

:27:59.:28:03.

named Pharrell Williams. And we got together, and we wrote

:28:04.:28:11.

this song called Get Lucky. And I feel like the luckiest man in the

:28:12.:28:15.

world tonight, because six years after that doctor told me to go home

:28:16.:28:22.

and get my affairs in order, today, six years later, I am cancer free!

:28:23.:28:34.

CHEERING So, as I said to you a little

:28:35.:28:39.

earlier, I got the best job in the world, because I get to write and

:28:40.:28:44.

produce songs for a lot of really big stars. So I did this song with

:28:45.:28:49.

Daft Punk and Farrell William, but you know Chic we are a disco band,

:28:50.:28:56.

we are an R B band, a funk band so every time we do a song we have to

:28:57.:29:00.

put a little bit of extra soul into it.

:29:01.:29:07.

Because that is who we are. So... I want to show you the way I

:29:08.:29:23.

feel today. Kimberley. # Ooh

:29:24.:29:28.

# Yeah All right. You want it take this

:29:29.:34:17.

party to a whole another level? I said do you want to take this part

:34:18.:34:21.

to a whole another level? So I'm going to turn it over to my man on

:34:22.:34:28.

drums, the crazy Ralph. A funk party getting ready to go down. OK.

:34:29.:34:42.

Glastonbury. Glastonbury. Glastonbury.

:34:43.:34:53.

I don't know, I don't know, Glastonbury. That's a little better.

:34:54.:35:00.

One more time I'm saying, Glastonbury. CHEERS

:35:01.:35:08.

I tell you one thing for sure, there's a party in the house

:35:09.:35:18.

:35:19.:35:24.

You are all 100%. You are 100 proof. You'll all have to bane done ship.

:35:25.:35:30.

As we say in the States - for right now this band you are seeing right

:35:31.:35:34.

here has been on tour, for three years, just having a good time and

:35:35.:35:39.

the band is tight and the band is tight and we're about to show you

:35:40.:35:43.

how tight and right the band is tonight. Are you all right for this?

:35:44.:35:48.

Are you all right for this? I said, ladies, are you all ready for this?

:35:49.:36:02.

Aha. Ladies in the audience, are you already for this? Aha. Ladies in the

:36:03.:36:08.

audience. Yeah. Are you all ready for this? Fella, whoo, whoo, whoo.

Glastonbury, let me hear you say yeah. Say yeah. Somebody, please.

:36:57.:37:06.

# Put on your red shoes and dance the blues

:37:07.:37:11.

# To the song they're playing on the radio

:37:12.:37:20.

# Sway through the crowd to an empty space

:37:21.:37:50.

:39:07.:39:12.

# Because my love for you would break my heart in two

:39:13.:39:20.
