To mark this momentous occasion, we have gathered

So, your new album, Nat King Cole and Me,

beautiful lot of different style tributes to the great

Nat King Cole.

When did you first hear him?

I was six years old

and my mother... I sang a little song on a tape

and my mother said, "Boy, you sound like Nat King Cole,"

and I'm sure I didn't, but she just said something,

and so I went and I played her records

and I heard this beautiful, warm voice coming out of the speakers,

and it struck me that this power and the emotion of the music...

I started to listen to Nat King Cole's lyrics

and take it as fatherly advice, in the absence of my own father,

-so...

-What sort of things was he saying?

-Pick yourself up, dust yourself off.

-Yeah.

Start all over again, and smile as though your heart is aching,

and the greatest thing you'll ever learn

is just to love and be loved in return.

I mean, those are things that I was looking to hear from...from...

from a man,

and I heard it from a piece of vinyl but it was still very significant

-and very real to me, so...

-Yeah.

I feel like I'm on a leather couch right now.

So...
