Jamaican music of all time, Mr Jimmy Cliff.

APPLAUSE You've got a great new record

Rebirth, which has just come out. It's seven years since you made the

last record. Why so long? The music business has changed a lot. So,

I've been writing and touring a lot. It took me all this time to get the

songs that I want to get together. Now it's ready. You're one of the

great legends of Jamaican music. At the end of a show, can I reveal,

what are you playing at the end of the show? You can get it if you

really want. Wherever I hear Jamaican music, it gets me going.

Where does that come from? How do they have that? It's one energy,

one spirit of the island. It's one spirit to stay uplift regardless of

what and don't we need that in this time? Absolutely, a music of beauty

and joy. Any message for the people out there before I manoeuvre along.

I just want everybody to pay attention to their lives, be

optimistic and enjoy your lives. Enjoy yourselves. Yes. Good, thank
