High For This. From an amazing album, which is sweeping the world,

from The Weeknd! Now, I cross over to the table here, to discuss

things with Nona Hendryx! Lovely to see you. Now, we have both been

given huge plastic beakers of liquid. It is really good to have

you here. You got in from New York yesterday, and you have got this

great record out, which has really had me dancing while driving the

car, rather dangerously. It is called Mutatis Mutandis, a very

good title, and some people might think it refers to something from

outer space, but is it in fact Latin? It is, and it means changing

those things which need to be changed. It came up with the run-up

to the election in America, looking at all of the things, the suffering

in America, the crime, the environment, the oil spill in the

Gulf, the hurricane, many different things that I wanted to talk about

and communicate with people about. Why did you use Latin, out of

interest? My first introduction to Latin was in school, but I did not

take it, it did not stick. But I found it again, it wasn't a

contract, put in by the lawyers. When you first started, who were

the people that inspired you? Did you want to be a singer but

steadied no, I was going to be a schoolteacher. Sarah lived in the

same town as me, and she asked me about singing with a local group,

and here I am. But Michelle Jackson was my favourite singer, an amazing

gospel singer. And then, Chuck berry, and then, Fats Domino. He is

great, the wonderful boogie-woogie piano. So, you were about to become

a schoolteacher, and then you got hooked up with this? The us, first

of all, we were with the Bluebells. We came over here in 1964, for

Ready, steady, Go, with Dusty Springfield, and The Rolling Stones,

we toured with them. In 1968, we changed our name. You wrote with

Keith Richards as well. Yes, I did. We have got a clip of you in 1975,

Strange outfits. Fantastic space suits. Whose idea were those?

designer from New York, after the moon landing, he became very

involved in doing space outfits and everything, and he found this one

night and said, I want to make these for you. Well, he did a

fantastic job. And then he did Kiss, and lots of others as well. Thank

you very much for joining us. What a marvellous person to have on this

how did you meet each other? Throw wonderful photographer, called

Jamie Morgan. Jamie was waiting in the studio, in Camden, where we

used to hang out! And he said, there is this crazy chick who has

done all of these vocals for me in the past, and she worked in a

library. And he said, I really think you should hear her. He

played a song that they were working on. Believe it or not, as a

fan, I used to follow this lady at the age of 15, 16, 17. That was a

reggae band that she had, and Brown Sugar, which anybody would remember,

from those heady years of the 1970s, the Queen of lovers' rock. Yes! Her

Majesty! Tell me, what were you doing in the library? Well, we got

fed up with Live Aid and stuff like that. You know, I had a lot of

songs in me that I wanted to write. I met this man, and we tried to

figure it out. We got on for a minute. You got on for a long
