-of the first Llangollen Eisteddfod.

-One lady has attended

-every eisteddfod apart from one.

-Mrs Enid Evans.

-I'm in the pavilion with Mrs Evans.

-have you been coming here?

-Well, 70 years.

-Since the first eisteddfod in 1947.

-How has the eisteddfod changed

-over the years?

-New competitions have been

-introduced to the programme...

-..but the spirit is still the same.

-People are here to sing

-and not fight.

-That was the original aim.

-You live in Bristol...

-..but you're a fluent Welsh speaker.

-I've continued speaking Welsh.

-We've had a very successful

-Welsh society in Bristol...

-..for the past 60 years even though

-the membership has dropped.

-If you don't mind me asking...

-..how old are you?

-You don't look a day over 21!

-I'll be 95 in September,

-Well, do you know what, it's been

-One thing happened this year that

-even Mrs Evans hadn't seen before.

-in the open dance competition.

-Loughgiel Folk Dancers

-..of the Celtic battlefield

-in their performance.

-I feel very proud...

-I'm emotional to give the marks...

-..of Ireland because

-we made a kind of history.

-This is the first time

-that a group had 100 points.

-Scoring 100 marks

-never happens in Llangollen.

-We are absolutely amazed.

-You couldn't believe it.

-We were so emotional and it was

-so emotional for the judges and us.

-Even the audience.

-We felt it from everybody.

-They got behind us

-and felt our emotion.

-All the hard work does pay off.

-so much effort. It's paid off.

-Loughgiel qualified for the

-eisteddfod's main dance competition.
