-from strength to strength.

-It feels like the album has been out

-for a long time.

-It only came out in November 2014.

-I've always felt

-and finally managed...

-..to realize an album that isn't

-linguistically compromised.

-From my experience of meeting

-people outside of Wales...

-..I know that fans everywhere...

-..particularly

-alternative music fans...

-..and people

-who really like music...

-..they like it in any language,

-it doesn't matter to them.

-So I knew if the music

-was good enough...

-..it would be good enough

-in any language.

-Amongst all the fun and touring,

-Gwenno found out she was pregnant.

-I found out I was pregnant...

-about what I was going to do.

-Then, I thought about MIA

-doing the Grammys heavily pregnant.

-I think she was due

-on the day she did the Grammys.

-touring until I can't tour.

-It's down to the individual too.

-I had an easy pregnancy.

-I couldn't have done it

-without a lot of help from Rhys.

-It was scarier to start gigging

-again and not be pregnant.

-I thought, they can't be too mean,

-I'm a pregnant lady.

-Even if you didn't like the gig,

-you'll feel bad if you say so!

-I'd like to record more in Cornish.

-I find it very interesting.

-From my experience,

-people find it interesting.

-What's nice is

-I don't play folk gigs.

-It's not like roots music.

-It's just quite indy.

-So I'm looking forward to making

-more music in that sphere...

-..and just developing ideas,

-I think.

-I've got to follow this path

-and improve.

-I hope the next album is an

-improvement on Y Dydd Olaf.

-I KA CHING was started by Gruff Ifan

-We started the label five years ago.

-Gruff and I started it. I was

-playing in a band called Jen Jeniro.

-Gruff played for Texas Radio Band.

-Both bands had new stuff to release

-but no label.

-We just thought we'd start a label.

-Before then...

-..we'd seen good stuff come out

-of labels like Peski and Ankst.

-From there, we carried on.

-Bands came to us

-and we went after a few ourselves.

-I work with some new young bands

-like Cpt. Smith and Ysgol Sul.

-..from Yr Eira, Swnami, Violas,

-Huw M and Candelas.

-I released Candelas' second album

-with I KA CHING...

-..and Siddi and Palenco albums too.

-I think we chose I KA CHING

-with Candelas...

-..because we're good friends

-with Gwion anyway.

-Branwen is my sister too

-so that helps!

-If you phone for advice or help,

-it's like talking to a friend.

-But they're also very professional.

-If you need money to go to

-the studio, they help with that.

-They help with marketing when the

-album comes out. That's a big help.

-To celebrate their birthday...

-..the label is releasing

-a special compilation album...

-..and a big gig at Pontio, Bangor,

-to accompany the launch.

-We'll be playing at that launch gig

-for I KA CHING on 23 July.

-The idea they've had

-to release this vinyl is madness.

-They got everyone on the label

-to record a new song.

-That's incredibly ambitious.

-I don't know what that is in Welsh.

-To celebrate the label's

-fifth birthday...

-..we've asked all the artists

-we work with, 16 in total...

-..to record a new song.

-For those who don't exist

-any more...

-..there are some remixes

-and live tracks.

-We're releasing the album digitally,

-on CD...

-..and a limited number

-of very swish double vinyls.

-The day after we release the vinyl,

-we've organized a birthday gig...

-..with pretty much every band

-that's still going.

-They're performing here at Pontio

-in Bangor on 23 July.

-Tickets are 12

-and are available on the web.

-That gig will be a big boost

-to the label.

-It's nuts that they've been going

-for five years.

-They deserve

-all the attention they get.

-They're signing a lot of bands.

-Hopefully, we'll be back here...

-..to celebrate a tenth birthday

-next year.

-If we could reach another 16 artists

-in the next five years, great.

-We'll see.
