LAUGHTER Fantastic.

Absolutely.

We were a bunch of lads who just wanted to socialise, party.

Just wonderful, wonderful days.

But they were the days that, sort of, when I look back,

they catapulted me into touring in my own right.

# If tomorrow never comes... #

I got a break into the UK market and I've been able to maintain that

for the last 25 years,

and I've just got a wonderful fan base who, over those 25 years,

they've stayed with me and they still come out and support me.

So, I've been one of the more fortunate ones.

I'll have a couple of other things,

-I'll give you a shout.

-Not a problem.

I have a small office where I grew up.

When my mum passed away, there was no-one living in the house,

so I kind of work from there.

My sister kind of does a little bit of the office-type work,

but then, after that, then I work with agents through the UK

and agents throughout Ireland to do the bookings as well.

# Did you see your brother standing by the road? #

He's involved now with a local club, called Drumragh Sarsfields,

so he still does a bit of training and plays a little bit of football.

When I hear about him playing, I'm always worried about him,

because he's a drummer in a band and I'm always thinking

about his arms and his legs.

Keep meaning to say, has he ever got them insured? He should do.

'They've created a wonderful, wonderful centre.

'And in the centre, people can come on a daily basis.

'It's set up at Lough Fea, which is up near Magherafelt.

'And there's reflexology, they can talk to people,

'there's little quiet centres,

'there's a beautiful walk round Lough Fea.'

And they can talk to all the people

who are experiencing the same as themselves.

And they just do a wonderful job.

Dominic, I suppose we can go back and say

that you started singing at a very early age.

Did you think, back then, that you would have a career in music?

I don't ever remember, actually thinking back,

that I wanted to be in the music industry.

Music was always there. I sort of progressed in it in my teenage years

with a bunch of lads from my home town in Omagh.

I started a wee band called the Melody Boys,

and I suppose the rest is history.

And I think you know parts of that as well.

Absolutely.

Who did you listen to when you were younger?

What kind of influences did you have?

-Well, you were one, for a start.

-Get out of it!

Don't say anything about age, now, you've done enough tonight!

I wasn't even in nappies when you were starting out!

He never lets you away with anything, does he?

Today, three of your own boys, Collum and Barry and Jonathan,

have taken up the music.

You must be very proud of that, are you?

Very, very proud of it. Some people ask me,

they think you must have pushed them down a certain way,

we never pushed them in any particular way at all.

Music was always in and around our home.

The boys happened to like what we were doing

and they've furthered their career.

-Yeah, I'm very, very proud.
