Hello, welcome back to the second day at the Reading Festival. We are

having fun! What a good day, it has been a great day, I have loved it.

Look at this place. There is the dance stage, the NME/BBC Radio 1

Stage. The train depot! It looks splendid in the sunshine. And the

Main Stage, the dust has settled, Rommel and Queens Of The Stone Age

last night, but they are old news. You are so fickle! We have got so

much brilliant stuff to bring you between now and 11:45pm. Jake Rogue,

Imagine Dragons, who are on now, and the whole of the Arctic Monkeys who

headline set, and Chvrches and Royal Blood. I spent a long time with

Royal Blood, they were sick of me. Joking! You can get in touch on

we do that, we have got some brilliant acoustic performances, Rae

Morris, Band Of Skulls. And, a band with a name that is difficult to say

back. You must be sick of us! We are good friends! Is this the third time

we have spoken to you? It has been a good summer, you must be really

enjoying touring this album again. It has been really busy. When I look

back at Glastonbury, I kept going, it felt really special! Tell us

more, it was really special! The next week, I was on your radio show.

We talked about cricket again. You go to the gym together! We have

talked a lot about Bombay Bicycle Club, but let's talk about Rae

Morris. You have taken her on tour for the last few months. Why is she

so amazing? She did an incredible job, it brought back memories of us

trying to play here. Loads of bands laying loud music, and you are

trying to hear yourself. It is beautiful. We make it as difficult

as possible, there is no glass their! Always a chance for a beer to

be thrown, just to content with. Especially if it is us! How are you

feeling about tonight? Excited, nervous? What does Reading mean to

you? I do not know if it is nervous, but I am worried about forgetting my

words. Maybe I will forget loads of words. They will be singing them

all, it will not matter! The confidence! This is one of the few

places I feel comfortable. I do not know if it is because we have played

here so many times. Because it is a young audience, this is what we have

always played too, so it feels easier. I imagine myself as I called

leader directing the audience. This whole summer... I will make them

Teddy tent down! I do not think I will say anything along those lines.

I think you should rally everybody! You have stepped into a halt! We

have been here quite a lot. There was a time that we were not invited,

and I just played in the campsite with an acoustic guitar. Did you

come when you work its? Before you were in the band? We first played

them we were 17, so we do not really have a choice. We went when we got

our GCSEs, like everybody else. A year after that, we were asked to

play. It has been a busy summer for you, you did a gig recently where

you were the soundtrack to some synchronised swimming. It was

amazing. I did anything with them for sport relief. We did the song

where they are in the video. We were playing next to the swimming pool,

they did the routine life. In the end, we jumped into the pool, and

they tried to teach us some moves, and we sunk to the bottom. I am sure

NME/BBC Radio 1 Stage for Lower Than Atlantis. After 8pm, we will show

you some Royal Blood, it was the moment of the weekend so far. That

is coming up in the next hour. Liam said Band Of Skulls was different, I

adored it. Austin said, does it count if I watch it from the comfort

of my sofa? 100%. But you cannot say you went to Reading. Let's talk

about Paramore. Yesterday, a double headline, Paramore and Queens Of The

Stone Age. We had an interview with them, and you watched from the side

of the stage. It was brilliant, hit after hit, it was fast and powerful,

and then the stage sound cut, and they were left on stage, not knowing

what was going on for four minutes. You cannot even communicate to the

crowd. A lot of bands would have stormed off stage, but not Paramore.

They are but a few rows, they sat down on the side of the stage, they

got an acoustic guitar out, they got a radio mike and played a cappella

for the crowd, everybody got their mobile phone torches out. They did

their headline set justice, they were worried about it. They totally

their headline set justice, they pulled it out the back. To carry on

with that enthusiast and passion, what a brilliant band. Tonight,

optic monkeys, you will see the full thing live on BBC Three later. But
