Highlights T in the Park

This programme contains strong language.

Hello and welcome to T in the Park 2014, a smorgasbord of some of the

finest moments from this year. Scotland's biggest festival has

turned 21 and in the next couple of hours we will bring you an eclectic

mix of music from Arctic Monkeys to Paolo Nutini.

And what better way to kick off than the Friday night headlining the main

stage, T in the park welcoming back one of their own. Biffy Clyro.

Every year, you have been better and better. Every year we played, new

and me I just saw the best band. That was a

great vault. Where do we start with the performance? Five minutes ago,

you are on. What are your thoughts? It was mind blowing. It is hard to

talk about ourselves. We were brilliant. The crowd were brilliant.

It was one of those unbelievable scenes. You look out and you just

see people's arms. Everybody from front to back. It must be surreal.

We had tweets coming in saying it must be surreal to feel that after

all this time, coming back to this festival. We are lucky that we have

some amazing fans, but because we started in Scotland there is a

special connection. It is hard to put into words, but the whole night

is unforgettable. That was a special moment in the history of this

festival. It is pretty incredible. I will let you go off and enjoy

feel at home in Scotland. Welcome to T in the Park, how are you doing?

Great, it is a beautiful day, the sun is out, there are drums,

everything I like in life. When you played here that's you, you played

in the King Tut tent, but today, the Main Stage in the glorious

sunshine. They made a mistake, we are going to show them quickly. This

was one of our favourite festival experiences. We are supposed to be

back at home doing a record but the manager told us T in the Park, we

couldn't say no. The tent was really hot last time and this time we are

outdoors. A nice breeze. Not as congested. But there's something to

be said for that. What congested. But there's something to

be said for that. was it about this festival that you loved most year?

Just the energy, insane amounts of energy. From the second we walked on

stage to the second we walked off, I was exhausted and happy, so much

energy. It was uncharacteristically sunny last year, does the weather

contributed? We bring the sun everywhere we go, we are from Las

Vegas. If you shut your eyes, it is a bit

in the desert. It is so bright. We had to explain the sunglasses, we

are not being rude, the sun is right here. I wear my sunglasses always,

that is who I am. You are playing in winter in northern Europe. I don't

care, man! So how is the recording of the second record going? That is

exciting. Really awful. Can we talk about something else? You had a

British accent there! No, it is really good, we are about halfway

kind of. We are supposed to be doing it right now, but it is really

coming on well. We have been writing over the years on the road, so we

had a tonne of material and now it is put together.

going up against the Arctic Monkeys, and would there be anyone

here, and I was feeling anxious. It was packed. You have

perfect festival for you? It is my third time in five years. You feel

like you are a Heritage act or something. I have not been around

half as long as many other people. I can't believe how many people turned

up. One of the best gigs I have ever done. I have done 2000 shows and

this is in the top five. I am overwhelmed and humbled.
