John Lennon had three tracks in the Top 10.

In spite of a string of big hits over the last nine years, it wasn't

until 1981 that Roxy Music took

a song to the top of the chart.

The third of three tracks from the pen of John Lennon to top

the charts over the last year.

and a strange one as well. It was Aneka, a doctor's wife

in 1980, one number one and their fourth number one came in 1981.

Well, one of the number ones in July summed up the problems

in a lot of inner city areas, no jobs, no entertainment

and not much money around either.

was an unbelievable 46 years old.

Not only that, it was the second foreign language record

ever to top the British Charts.
