this year took on a distinctly Latino flavour.

Puerto Rican duo Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee

took over the dance floor with Despacito.

With the help of a Bieber remix

they racked up just shy of 4.5 billion YouTube views.

Soon followed a load more of Latino heat.

DJ Khaled and Rihanna paired up and sampled legend Carlos Santana.

Camila Cabello rode the wave to number one with Havana.

And practising their GCSE Spanish,

Little Mix joined CNCO for a bit of Reggaeton Lento.

Festival season kicked off at Radio One's Big Weekend in Hull.

Alongside big-hitters Kings Of Leon and Katy Perry,

it was the New Zealander Lorde who stole the show.

The sun shone at Glastonbury as Barry Gibb played the legend slot,

with an excellent troupe of backing dancers.

Radiohead treated fans to some classics.

Foo Fighters did what they do best - big guitar anthems and lots of hair.

to close the festival and cement his amazing year.

Reading Festival was all about surprises.

Headliners Kasabian were joined by their cake-loving pal

who turned up thinking it was Halloween.
