-of different ages.

-You can see traditional methods and

-the young chaps bring new methods.

-that everyone who enjoys meat...

-Beltex sheep were introduced

-to Britain from Belgium in 1989.

-It's now an important breed

-for the meat industry...

-..here in Wales and in Britain.

-A Beltex sheep has been named

-Champion or Reserve Champion...

-..for the last four years.

-Quite a record.

-Meinir was in amongst them

-this morning.

-We've got fourteen pairs.

-Yes, there's incredible stock

-in this class.

-The Butcher's pair

-won the Championship last year.

-They frequently come top

-with the carcass competitions.

-The Beltex too are pretty close

-to the perfect meat lambs.

-They've got a small frame

-but a depth of meat.

-They've got a depth of meat

-and a weight on a small frame.

-There isn't much waste.

-The meat bulges out

-over the loin and the hind legs.

-They're full of meat.

-They are deceptive.

-They've got very short legs,

-not a lot of waste.

-They still weigh quite a bit.

-because they aren't as big...

-..as the other continental

-breeds...

-..that it's hard to get

-the carcass weight correct.

-The weight is incredible.

-Muscle weighs more than fat.

-There isn't a big head

-It's not just with Beltex sheep

-but with their pigs and cattle too.

-This is the Rockin' Robin.

-It's a dark porter beer.

-Something to keep you warm

-over Christmas.

-What else is there?

-We're launching a Belgian beer

-called Pierre Bleu.

-This was brewed by farm wives

-for the men during the harvest.

-It's Belgian Saison beer, brewed

-with an old, traditional yeast.

-It's a very strong beer.

-You've diversified

-because your parents are farmers.

-My mother is a sheep farmer

-on the Preseli Mountains.

-Dad and I run the brewery

-home on the farm.

-Why the Bluestone Brewing Company?

-The farm is in the middle

-of the bluestone country.

-Our water flows down

-off the bluestone itself.

-It's completely natural.

-We have pure, fountain water.

-All the buildings we brew in

-are built from bluestone too.

-the quality improves every year.

-Back at the cattle ring...

-on the cross-breed cattle.

-It's the first of two classes

-fathered from British blues.

-There are some great animals

-in here today.

-Glyn, the butcher from Denbigh,

-is taking his time.

-It's a tough job.

-They are very similar.

-He likes this one.

-It's just what he likes.

-It's got plenty of meat.

-This one is called Smart Arse.

-He's taking a good look at

-that part of the animal.

-Winning the first class

-was BJ owned by RJ Wright.

-In the second class, Twm,

-owned by Ann and Aeron Hughes.

-This is the British Blue class.

-These are the two winners

-from the sub classes.

-There is a great lot of

-meat on this one.

-Berwyn Hughes has the better animal.

-Cwm Hendre has taken it.

-Many congratulations.

-You only brought one

-animal this year.

-The father is a British Blue.

-The mother is a Limousin.

-I bought it at a store mart.

-I like the look of this animal.

-Winning in the first class

-was Mrs and Mr Cheacker.

-Dynamo, owned by Alan Lewis,

-won the second class.

-Mr and Mrs Morgan won with Elvis

-in the third class.

-Here we are, the time has come

-for a final decision.

-These have been fathered

-by Limousin bulls.

-It's been an excellent class.

-We have three black

-animals in the final.

-Do you have a favourite?

-There are three great animals here.

-They have good width and breadth.
