couple of hours ago in ABC World News with David Muir.

Welcome. Breaking news, the bulletin from the FBI. After US led air

strikes on Syria, what authorities say the night. Another development,

the next 9/11 plot in the works with bombs that could get through airport

security and onto planes headed to the US `` tonight. Also, for the

first time we hear from one of America's most wanted. Communities

in lockdown. Where they think he is tonight. The highest, the American

city with 22 cars stolen. See the civilians video, tearing the car

keys off the wall. Under fire, Miss America for less than two weeks and

already explaining herself. What has she done?

Good evening. It is great to have you with us. We begin with breaking

news, the alert that top US officials want plots against America

by these groups targeted could accelerate. There have been

airstrikes over Syria. The images coming in. One missile takes out

this target in Raqqa. And ISIS compound. Raqqa is the ISIS capital

in Syria. The Tomahawks launched from this cruiser in the Arabian Sea

race in across the sky. The images coming in. The question, did the

airstrikes stop a 9/11 plot targeting America? Did they make

bombs that could pass security and onto headed for America? Good

evening. The airstrikes might have stopped what was Al Qaeda's 9/11

attack on the US described by officials today as a bold and

imminent plot that could have reached American passenger jets. The

concern was so great that the US dedicated 822 airstrikes against the

Syrian base of the special group outside the city of Aleppo. The

group was nearing the execution phase of the attack. Three factors

emerged about why this group is considered so dangerous. It is made

up of 50 seasoned Al Qaeda fighters, many who were close to

Osama Bill Martin. The bombs were undetectable `` Osama Bin Laden.

Among the targets, passenger jets bound for the US using Western

recruits posing as tourists to carry the bombs. The Khorasan group has

attempted to recruit Westerners to serve as operatives and infiltrate

their homeland. A Dutch jihadist in the Aleppo area posted videos of the

aftermath of what he said was a US airstrike against an Qaeda

headquarter. Many brothers died and many brothers were wounded. The US

developed good intelligence on the Syrian safer havens are the

hard`core Al Qaeda unit. The White House is treated the Khorasan

group's existence as a state secret until the President spoke of it

today. Last night we disrupted plotting against the United States

by seasoned Al Qaeda operatives in Syria who are known as the Khorasan

group. The Khorasan group leader is this man, a one`time confidant of

Ossama Bin Laden, sent by Al Qaeda leaders. Officials said most of the

men involved in the plot and Pahang `` haps him were killed. Those

plotting and planning have been eliminated. That was alarming. Was

the leader taken out? Officials say that they don't know yet. The plot

has been disrupted for now. Let's head the our correspondent with the

images and numbers. Where are the missiles landing and what have they

wiped out? The overnight images are stunning.

So are the numbers. Nearly 250 bombs and missiles launched from 48

fighter jets, honours, drones and navy ships. `` bombers. It began in

the dead of night, 3:30am. More than 40 Tomahawk cruise missiles fight

from US warships in the Peugeot and Red Sea `` Persian Gulf. Targeting

the Carousel a round Aleppo and ISIS targets in Raqqa. They track ``

struck training camps and a finance centre. Half an hour later, 4am, the

US, joined by Arab partners, unleashed a torrent of F`18s, if

16th and the F`22, the first time the fighter has been used in combat

`` F`16. Hitting and ISIS Commander and control centre with GPS

precision guided Miss R 's. `` missiles. You can see the before

shot. On the right hand side, you can see the after`shock. Just after

7am, the third and final wave with more fighter jets launched to take

out ISIS targets near the Iraq border. That included this

residential compound converted to an ISIS training camp wiped out by a

volley of missiles which the Pentagon said it directly on their

mark. The US carried out the overwhelming number of strikes but

Bahrain, Jordan, the UAE and Saudi Arabia all launched air strikes.

Armed fighter jets were provided by Qatar in case Syrian Government

warplanes showed up, though that didn't happen. The Pentagon is doing

damage assessment of its bombing and says so far the strikes were very

successful. There was minimal collateral damage and they say they

aren't aware of civilian deaths. The Pentagon acknowledged this campaign

against ISIS could take years and with no ground troops, the targeting

could become more difficult as the ISIS fighters blend in with the

population. To a massive heist in San Francisco,

a new surveillance tape shows the lightning fast these. They tore the

keys from the wall. 22 cars have gone up 42 dealerships and 48 hours.

They had the keys, all these thieves had to do was find the car that

matched. Surveillance video caught them in the act. The team running

through this dealership, and right in their hands was a board full of

keys. Watch as they go from car to car, clicking those electric keys to

find the right, , when the lights flash, Jackpot! They drive away.

They were able to get inside each of them, jumping in one of the cars,

trying to drive off with it. If it seems like a scene from a movie, it

is! Hello ladies! Getting away wasn't so easy for the thieves in

this film. Stolen cars are big business. One card taken in this

country every 43 seconds. These thieves had three different San

Francisco area dealerships in 48 hours, driving off with 22 of the

most expensive cars made. From range Rovers to BMWs, Audis and Mercedes.

But what is next? Those thieves have more keys, and dealers fear they

could strike again. Breaking news this evening on the

home Depo security breach. 56 million credit cards were hit in a

series of fraudulent transactions, in some cases, customer bank

accounts were drained of money. Our correspondent has warned us that

this could be more of a problem. We are seeing three different kinds of

charges popping up on these accounts. Firstly, micro charges,

less than $10 showing up in the form of $1 or $2 purchases, they fly

under the radar and trick you so you do not notice. Then mega charges,

worth thousands of dollars, like telephones. They will purchase them

in one fell swoop. Then ATM fraud, part of those 56 million cards were

debit cards, so they can get straight into your ATM card and

drain it. Check your account online, do not wait for a paper statement.

Much more ahead tonight. The talent that made her famous at first, but

tonight, less than two weeks after being crowd `` crowned Miss

America, she has to explain herself. What has she been accused of doing?

Let's turn to that urgent nationwide manhunt tonight, searching for the

cop killer. Families on lockdown, a major development. Police have a new

weapon, a new tape. For the first time, we are hearing the suspects

boys. The young man accused of ambushing state troopers, killing a

young father. Police insist they are closing in, where are they? Our

correspondent is in Pennsylvania. Tonight, a window into the strange

world of one of America's most wanted men. Documentary footage

showing the accused Cop killer participating in a Vietnam's war

reenactment. `` Vietnam. He appears happy. He is afraid of clowns,

crowds, and gypsies. The re`enactors spend days in the woods, reliving

long ago battles. Back then, he appears to know it is all a game. It

is not Vietnam, we are in the middle of Pennsylvania. It is where we can

re`enact the battle. Now, police said the fugitive has blurred the

line between fantasy and reality and believe he is hiding in the woods.

Today, driving towards the search area, we saw officers lining the

roads. This man lives just inside of the search zone. You have had

officers searching your house and yard? Yes, they went through the

house and property. They checked the basement. Secure the area. Community

schools have been closed for four days. Today, kids are finally going

back to class. This is the way to school.

We rode along with this woman as she went to get her 11`year`old

daughter. Here is a police officer. Right

good day. With so many parents nervous about what they see here,

30% of children stayed at home. To another search, officials looking

for suspects in a heroine kidnapping, two girls police say was

snatched from the street at knifepoint. `` knifepoint. These 911

calls have been released. A warning, what you will here can be upsetting.

`` hear. Two teenage girls hysterical on the phone with 911

minutes after escaping what police call a random and terrifying

kidnapping. The 16 and 17 year olds told police began when they snuck

out at 2am during a sleepover, and were approached by a red SUV. Two

men and a woman were inside, offering a ride. The girls declined,

saying that was when they were forced in at knifepoint. The mother

of one of the victims agreed to speak of her was hidden. `` if her

identity was hidden. It went on for 19 hours, the girl 's hand stuck

tight until the car was stopped when they wiggled free and made a run for

Tonight, police are on the hunt for the red SUV, saying the two girls

are lucky to have made it out. In the West this evening, concerns

about raging wildfires in California. These images coming in,

wildfire alert `` going over Lake Tahoe. Powerful winds on the way are

not helping firefighters. You have got the warnings tonight? Red flag

warnings, right next to flash flood watches. That tells you something is

coming. Let's look at the map. The red flag warnings go through the

next 24 hours or so, you have gusty winds ahead of this, you can see the

curl in the Pacific Ocean. That counterclockwise rotating globe,

associated cold front is slipping through the Pacific Northwest. Early

tomorrow morning, Pacific Time, Washington State and Oracle and pick

up on hefty rain. This is good news. `` Oregon. Flash flood watches

because those burn scar areas could see debris flows. These are issues,

in an inch or two, you can see that flash flooding coming if it comes

quickly. Next night, she has not been Miss America for two weeks,

what is she accused of doing? Newly crowned Miss America won the

competition by impressing judges with her unusual musical talent.

(SINGING). And commitment to fighting domestic violence.

Tonight, anonymous allegations that she carried out "exceptionally

harsh" hazing. On Monday, she admitted being kicked out of her

sorority last year after an investigation into her behaviour.

Now, she's speaking out. These allegations are not true. Telling

good morning America that her actions were not extreme. All I can

do is sit here and be honest and share that I was involved under the

broad definition of hazing at some point, including something like

standing in a line, and reciting information, a few sleepless nights

crafting. This website reported that hazing was more brutal.

Hazing is all too common, more than half of college students involved in

clubs and teams say they have experienced it. You do unto others

what was done to you, but normally kids like to add their own mark.

Then they can increase the hazing. Now that the story is out, this Miss

America says it is important for her to address it. I will take this

negative and turn it into a positive. The sorority says they

have a zero tolerance policy towards hazing. We have also learned that
