Welcome. Breaking, the threat bearing on Hawaii. The first

hurricane closing in. Tourists scrambling to get out. The popular

destinations in the bull's`eye. The Ebola fears spread, the new numbers

and pictures inside the plane that brought the infected Americans home.

What we have learned about the American patient brought in on the

stretcher. The subway scare, the man trapped between the train and the

platform. The moment that came next. And, the famous drive

promising customers in 60 seconds or it is free. What happened when we

sent our team to put it to the test? Good evening. It is great to have

you with us. You can see it behind me, the first hurricane set to hit

Hawaii in 24 hours and behind it, a second. A 1`2 punch and they are

scrambling to prepare. You can see on the satellite map, the hurricane

is, both of them are in the crosshairs with more than 700,000

families and tourists among the destinations expected to get hit.

They are already cancelling school. This is the scene. The dash in the

supermarkets with the race for supplies. This is what they are

finding, empty shelves. The dangerous threat. It has been more

than 20 years since a tropical storm hit Hawaii and now there are two of

them. Our meteorologist is with us today.

This is moving west north`west at 60 mph. The reason, Hawaii's heat

island is under hurricane warning. The latest view from space. Two

hurricane is swirling over the Pacific Ocean, the target `Paradise.

No plan B just yet. People streaming to the airports and airlines

changing flights for free. Folks can get out before the cell gets in.

Safer to go home so we don't get stuck. This is due to the hurricane

's. Shelves are empty. Hawaii and take the forecast seriously. The big

Island will likely hit Thursday night. The second hurricane tailing

her, weakening and turning north away from the islands. How often

does this turn into this? Only to hurricane South Maitland fall in

Hawaii since 1949 `` two hurricanes hit Hawaii. These hurricane 's are

approaching from the east. Before this, only one unnamed storm made

landfall along that similar line. Of course, you are tracking the

warnings tonight. Warning means it is imminent and it

will happen. Take notice, the hurricane warning and then the

tropical storm warning, something to note, because you will have rough

surf. Rain, a big issue with mudslides possible and 5`12 inches

at the top and with the wind reaching 70 mph.

We had the pictures Neil status with the river and a cart right there, a

woman trapped inside. `` in Las Vegas. Now, we are

watching a new area tonight. This is to the south and east. You can see

two ` three inches wide spread. Some spots could get more than four

We turn to the growing Ebola fears. Frightening numbers come in. ABC

News was first to show you those images inside the plane bringing the

two Americans home. The newest patient to arrive, an American woman

wheeled into the hospital on a stretcher. Her family reveal her

condition as we learn of the new toll of this outbreak. Our

correspondent in Atlanta tonight. As those American missionaries fight

off Ebola in isolation units at this hospital, the family of Nancy Wright

all share in a statement that: Doctors speaking generally tell us

this far into the disease, it is the round the clock level of care that

is their best hope. The key is excellent nursing, frequent vital

signs, fixing problems. If they are deep `` dehydrated, give them fluid.

The pilot helping to fly the aid workers said when the plane landed

in Liberia it was like stepping back in time. When the patient arrived,

she was in a... I would call it a large pick up with eight Harp over

it that appeared was used as an ambulance transport `` a tarp. In

that area we obtained the video from inside the plane of the trip home.

Those are zip ties holding up the plastic Arias. Inside, a health`care

worker in protective suit looking after a patient. This situation is

worsening in West Africa. Health authorities report more than 900 are

dead. The CDC moves to its highest level of response, round`the`clock

monitoring. We are on the ground in Liberia and we saw disturbing

pictures, a field of makeshift grave markers, so many families robbed by

the disease. Health`care workers walking into homes with sick family

members are met with resistance. They are scared, sometimes refusing

to go to hospital. There is one positive, Ebola has been an issue

for decades, but for the first time it has captured America it's

attention. `` America's. Last night we reported on the American general

killed in an attack in Afghanistan. The family honour him. Major`General

Harold Greene, the most senior officer killed by hostile fire since

9/11. Tonight at his home in Virginia, two stars in the window

for the general and the American flag on the porch. A picture

emerging of him with his wife, daughter and son, all members of the

American military. We learn he wasn't the only two star general

when shots rang out. The head of training command was standing next

to him and escaped injury. It is believed the soldier who fired the

shots was trained by Americans. Another soldier in the news. Former

American POW, early bird all, you will remember the video. `` by

Berghdal. Tonight, a different image of BoweBerghdal. This was quite a

change in appearance. It was. The day of his release. An

extraordinary exchange. Look at the picture taken during his five years

of captivity. He was bearded and has since told investigators he was

beaten and caged. Look at these recent photos. Taken by his lawyer

as he prepares for his session with investigators. Clean`shaven today,

looking healthy. His lawyer tells us he was eager to tell his side of the

story as to why he left his post back in 2009.

If they can beat him, what punishment could he says? ``

conflict. The penalty could be death. There is no one I have talked

to her says it could be a possibility, even jail time is

unlikely given the time he has spent in captivity `` convict. So many

questions about his family. Has he spoken with his parents? We have no

indication he has communicated with his parents in any way and no one is

explaining why it might be. We are now going to turn to the

concerns about security. We had this boy who came out of a plane, who got

on at California. Work that at the same airport, a new security reach.

A woman boarding a plane without a ticket. How did she get through

security? This sweet looking lady, as

described as severely mentally ill. Somehow she managed to embarrass the

TSA twice this year. I speaking pass a document check. This time at San

Jose International airport. And making her way on board a south`west

airlines plane to Los Angeles or without a boarding pass. I do not

know how she could do that. Here is how airport officials say she did

that. She tried to get past three separate document echoes, finally

succeeding by slipping behind. She went through the full body scanner

and then waited in the terminal for three hours before a going to the

south`west gate she allegedly used the same technique of sneaking

behind a family to board the plane. Finally discovered in Los Angeles

when flight attendants noticed the passenger count did not match the

manifest. Public safety was not compromised in this situation. It is

that same airport that suffered a very different security breach. The

boy who claimed the perimeter fence and stowed away in the wheel well to

Hawaii. This type of breach is extremely rare. In March, one man

boarded a plane for Hawaii. When police asked her why, she said, I

had nowhere else to go. `` one woman.

There are new images of that heart stopping crash in Times Square. Two

buses colliding, triggering a chain reaction. Watch this. A lamppost

falling, bystanders jumping out of the way. You information about the

driver of one of those buses. `` new information. Were drugs to blame?

This is the bus driver police say through Times Square into chaos. He

was charged with driving while impaired. Investigators saying his

boss travelling downtown through Times Square sideswiped a blue bus.

The collision forcing the red blush to jump the cup. `` read the bus.

This video capturing the moment that lamppost. Watch again. A family of

five are visiting from Australia. Everybody was lying on the ground

injured, people screaming. 18 people were injured. A toddler is still in

the hospital. The driver told authorities his brakes was not

working. But investigators said they found no mechanical problems. He

allegedly failed to simple motor skills as a great contest at the

scene. Authorities are now awaiting results. `` motor skills test. There

are 200 tour buses on the streets of New York every day. Today right at

the heart of Times Square, there are 50 people lining up waiting to get a

ride. The company that operates both buses conducting their own

investigation into the crash. The company also sang it is reviewing

its driver protocols. The night in Times Square, tourists were

undeterred by the crash. There is still much more ahead. The

subway scarer. The man trapped, his leg stuck between a train and the

platform. Seconds later, the amazing moment you were about to see. How

they rallied men, women and children on the platform. And the

drive`through with a promise for some customers. Your meal in 60

seconds or it is free. We are going to turn to the

astonishing image at the height of rush`hour. An Australian commuter

trapped. His leg stuck in that gap, just inches wide. It is a nightmare

for those of us who ride the subway or a train. It starts as a typical

morning tableau. But then write their, a man somehow gets his foot

stuck. His leg slipping into the gap between the train and the platform.

The last passenger behind the man who got stuck calls for help.

Somebody out, saying that somebody's leg was caught. Worried

commuters gather around to help. The first tactic, getting everybody

inside the train to jump to the other side of the car, hoping to

sweat away from the platform. That does not work. They realise there is

only one solution. About 50 passengers lined up alongside the

train and pushed. Everybody together. Men, women, children,

helped push the train back. Ten minutes later. Rescue accomplished.

It was a good result, everybody got him out. The man even catches the

next train. Perhaps more mindful of the age`old maxim, watch the gap.

Our instant index, Michelle Obama and Laura Bush at a summit in

Washington. Michelle Obama said she planned to

keep working with military families, saying she learn things from Laura

Bush. And this evening, officials are

studying this surveillance video for clues. That is a thief looking

This is probably the most frustrating trip I have ever taken.

not fast enough. This is taking too long. Now a McDonald's in south

Florida serving up a fantasy. Your fast food in 60 seconds or you get a

free sandwich. Our producer putting it to a test. The clock starts

ticking. You are doing well. 41 seconds later, lunch is in hand.

They did it. In New Jersey, we headed out with these fast food

aficionados. How important is time? Speed is of the essence. You have to

get back to the office. We have a lot of work to do. The facts are

working against them. A recent study says drive`through times are

actually getting slower. McDonald's clocking at its slowest speed in 15

years. Averaging more than three minutes. The problem, giant menus.

How do you keep it fast? Keep it simple. That was under a minute. I

am shocked. Consider this. 70% of fast food orders are coming from

that drive`through. That means the lines inside could be shorter. We

tried it. A happy meal on the run. I just want to know why Rebecca did
