young British Muslims in the video, which was released by the Islamic

militant group, ISIS. Our reporter is in Aberdeen tonight.

consternation that this man had appeared in this video urging

Muslims to come to the Middle East to fight. This picture shows at 1213

-year-old Abdul Rakib Amin, -- 12 or 13-year-old. There is flashing

imagery in this report. In Aberdeen, where he used to attend,

condemnation of his actions unequivocal. No political, no

political or religious cause could ever be assisted by such acts of

incited terrorism. These activities are against both divine and human

laws. And we condemn them in the strongest terms.

This is him in a video released by the terror group. He and courage of

other British Muslims to join fighting in Syria and Iraq. It is a

long way from the streets in Aberdeen where he grew up. He moved

from Bangladesh as a child. From the primary school where he played with

his friends, or from the secondary school where one friends described

him as a normal lad. He was outgoing, got into trouble now and

again, but nothing major, just a normal guy. What did you think when

you saw the video and recognise them? I just could not believe it. I

was shocked. I hope it does not have an effect on the Asian community in

Aberdeen. How he went from worshipping here to jihad in the

Middle East remains a mystery. The Imam is adamant radicalisation did

not stand here is -- did not start here. I would say to him, come back

to your family feel stop he is not the only one. Officials say that

there are 400 or 500, we say to them, come back to your family. The

Imam said that he had no official role that the mosque, and everyone

is cooperating with the authorities. We understand that several police

forces and security services have launched an investigation since this

video appeared with him. Tonight, politicians and community groups are

anxious to reiterate that this is not representative of the Muslim

community in Aberdeen or Scotland. The Scottish Cabinet discussed the

issue at its meeting today. But ministers say Abdul Rakib Amin is in

no way representative of the Islamic community as a whole. Community

leaders insist they're doing everything they can to prevent young

people from becoming radicalised. Slightly over 2% of Scotland's

population are Muslims. Even in Glasgow it is only 6%. Scottish

ministers say that that is one reason why the radicalisation of

young Ms limbs is not a significant problem. The Muslim community is

horrified. I heard the Imam of the Aberdeen mosque speak of his

horror, and the Muslim community will be just as shocked. The centre

offers events for groups of all faiths, but Muslim leaders say that

it also offers guidance for young people trying to establish their

identities. In this country, we do not feel any different as Muslims,

we are Scottish. That is very important. We want to educate our

youngsters, help guide them on the right path with regards to their

religion, and obviously that is the key. Community leaders insist that

Islam is a peaceful religion where radicalism has no place. They offer

one possible reason why he has been tempted. You see these guys, they

are all brought up in this country. But if you keep targeting them as

immigrants, foreigners, you are weakening the link to this country,

which is normally very strong. Ministers agree, since Scotland

cannot be immune from radical activity, that proves the need for

vigilance through liaison with the police and community leaders.

700 years ago today, the forces of Robert the Bruce

defeated the English army at the Battle of Bannockburn.

The anniversary has been marked by the laying of a wreath

It's part of a series of events culminating next weekend in a full

This piece of ground has been at the centre of the Bannockburn

commemorations today. Earlier a small group of schoolchildren from

three nations came to pay the respect to the thousands of men who

died on this battlefield 700 years ago. Led by a lone drummer,

schoolchildren from Scotland, England and Wales. They had flowers

for the following of 1314. They laid their grief at the spot where it is

believed Robert the Bruce raised his standard on the eve of the Battle of

Bannockburn. Today at 700 years -- today it is 700 years since his army

was victorious after two days of fighting. He prepared his ground and

men, he had a plan. Edward the second did not seem to have a clue

about what he intended to do, other than bring an army to leave Stirling

Castle. Robert the Bruce's army was outnumbered, and were fighting for

no -- control of nearby Stirling Castle. This was one of the Wars of

Scottish independence. Today are battlefield tour at the Bannock Burn

itself. At the end of the battle, it was said to be choked with the

bodies of the dead. Time to pause is asked -- as a mark of respect. I

have been here many times, but not down here being aware of what took

place on this very ground. Most kids know about Bannockburn. It is a key

turning point in the establishment of the kingdom. It is a key part of

Scottish history, it is important. ?9 million was spent upgrading the

visitor centre for the anniversary. High-tech 3-D graphics help tell the

story. The heritage is in us, it is important to all Scots. It is

important that 700 years to the day we recognise it. A moment in

Scottish history that still resonates with many, it seems. There

will be re-enactments of the battle here, this coming weekend, that is

part of the Bannockburn eventful stop some controversy surrounding

the event, sales of tickets appeared to be slow to begin with but the

organisers believe they will attract between 10000 and 15,000 people this

Saturday and Sunday. There's been an increase

in the number of cancer patients waiting too long for treatment,

according to official figures. The Scottish Government, under

health Secretary Alec Neil, has a target that 95% of people diagnosed

with cancer should wait no more than But 92% of patients were treated

people in Glasgow on their bikes. The Mass Automated Cycle Hire will

see hundreds of bicycles for hire at locations across the city.

Suzanne Allan reports. I would like to rent a bike in

Glasgow please. Lucy Clarke is already a keen cyclist, but she does

not use her bike everyday. This may change her mind. I would use it to

commute to work. It is quicker to cycles than get public transport,

and I think the same would go for a lot of people in the city centre. It

would be a great way to go to the shops, and local places. 400 bikes

will be available at hubs across the city. It costs between ?1 for the

first 30 minutes, to ?60 a year per annual membership. This is one of 31

bike stations around the city. They are unmanned so you do everything

yourself. It is a computer at the back, so you can swipe it with your

smartphone, go online or make a simple phone call. This computer

gives you a PIN number, and you unlock the bay, and that is it. It

is meant to get a sitter, healthier and greener. There has been a 50%

increase in people cycling in and out of the city centre in the past

three years. We are investing to make it safe and fun. Something

similar, nicknamed Boris's takes has been running in London for four

years. As Boris is bikes. I will give it a try. It is far too busy

and you would either get hit or something. It is too dangerous.

Cycling groups agree, they've like the scheme but want to see the

streets safer. Laszlo City Council are not doing enough to make it safe

for cyclists. I know a lot of cyclists in the given up on the

moment because they feel it is too dangerous. -- Glasgow City Council.

The council says it is spending ?4 million on cycling and it wants this

to be the biggest participation activity in the city by 2020.

Hibernian's new head coach Alan Stubbs is confident he can earn

the club promotion back to the Premiership.

The 42-year-old was announced as the club?s eighth man in charge

in ten years this afternoon. Our reporter is at Easter Road.

Phil, what are Hibs getting in Alan Stubbs?

Firstly, this really is becoming an regular occurrence. A reporter

standing here discussing another Hibs appointment. He has spent five

years in the heart of the Celtic defence from the mid-19 90s. He also

played for Bolton and Everton, where, for the last six years, he

has been head coach of the under 21 's. Crucially, this evening, heads

have appointed a new man with no managerial experience. -- Hibs. The

chief executive says he was the standout choice for a future

manager, with a clear vision of what he wants to produce. Positive

results, playing attractive football and developing new players.

We also know it will be a new regime because we are calling him the head

coach, and not manager. It is a new football structure being

Stubbs is head coach, and we will find out more about who is assisting

questions was, would I play? I am still fit enough to play, so I will

do a preseason and see how it goes. As it stands, I will play. And if

that helps results go in the favour, he could be in the pink come the end

of the season. You probably noticed that was Alan

Stubbs playing in an old firm game, so that did not happen in today's

Scottish sport, apologies for that. We can find out what has been

to pre-season training today. Their Champions League campaign

call back to Bannockburn, where Judith is waiting for the forecast.

For most of us, it will be a dry evening with some good spells of

sunshine across the far North. Some brightness, where there is cloud,

but we will see some showers across the South West. As we head through

the overnight period, there will be some cloud. We will see the first

signs of some rain coming across the Hebrides. Across the far north, we

will see clear skies and it will be chilly with temperatures down to two

Celsius. Further south we will see temperatures of ten or 11. Tomorrow

morning it starts with some beautiful sunshine across the North

of Scotland, a lovely start to the day. In the south, more in the way

of cloud, and there will be cloud building up over the south-west

corner. It will move into Galloway, with a few spots of rain managing to

get into the Glasgow area. By the time we reach the afternoon, it

looks fine for the Borders and the Lothians, with high temperatures of

18 or 19. The rain is most persistent in North Argyll, and also

towards Lochaber. Towards the north-west it will be sunny with

some sunshine. High temperatures of 19 Celsius here. Across Orkney it

will be bright, with a bit more in the way of the cloud. Good spells of

sunshine for southern Aberdeenshire. Cooler towards the east coast

itself. Through the evening we will see the rain pushing away into the

Atlantic, and it is dry and foremost, with clear spells. If we

take a look at the pressure chart, you can see the high pressured

establishing itself during the course of Thursday, meaning a lot of

dry weather in the forecast. It looks like staying settled towards

the weekend, and it will be a pleasant day. Dry, sunny spells on

Thursday, with temperatures up to 19 or 20 Celsius.

militant group, ISIS. The former editor of the News Of The

World, Andy Coulson, has been found guilty of plotting to hack phones.

It follows an eight-month-long trial. Mr Coulson went on to become

the Prime Minister's official spokesman. The former News

International chief executive, Rebekah Brooks, was cleared.
