Seven people have been injured in a serious accident involving

a roller-coaster at M's theme park near Motherwell.

Emergency services are at the scene and the park has been closed.

Our reporter Andrew Black is there with the latest.

If you look just behind me you will be able to see the entrance to

Strathclyde Country Park, that is near to where this accident

happened. This is as close as police will allow us to get at the moment

and it is a fast changing situation. What we know is that seven people

were injured after the roller-coaster crashed for the real

lives at MND is parked here near Motherwell. Emergency services said

that happened on the Tsunami roller-coaster ride. This was a

Sunday afternoon, this place was absolutely mobbed with families, it

school holidays have just happened. school holidays have just happened.

-- M's. Some eyewitnesses have spoken to us and spoken of people

being trapped upside down on the right with children on board.

Someone else said it was like a scene out of a horror film. Since I

have been here, there have been a lot of ambulances and emergency

services coming and going from the scene. As I have said, it is a very

fast changing situation. All we know at the moment officially from police

is that there are seven casualties. We hope for an update later. At this

stage, it is pretty clear they are having to deal with a very serious

was at the site with friends and had When I turned around to look at it,

I saw the carriage hurtling towards the ground. I do not think there was

anyone else on the right that it landed on. There were lots of people

trapped, probably I would have said up to ten people. I saw one girl

There's a sense of sheer confusion at Westminster after the on

if there's a leadership election. Mr Corbyn, how can you survive? As

he left home this morning, the UK Labour leader might have been hoping

to avoid getting any more e-mails and letters from Shadow Cabinet

colleagues resigned from their jobs. Labour's only MP in Scotland, the

former Shadow Secretary Ian Murray, send Mr Corbyn a letter Kevin Kim

that he did not believe that the Labour Party could be bold under his

leadership -- leadership. He announced that live on BBC One

Scotland. I said to the Labour Party and to Jeremy directly that at this

moment in time I did not believe that he could be pie minister and if

he thought he could be, then he is speaking to the wrong people and

Good evening, after a sunny start this morning, the cloud and rain

soon arrived. We can see that rain moving from West to East producing

damp and wet conditions. The rain is on the way out during the course of

the evening and overnight. Hugh is the chart and there is the thing.

Off it goes, becoming confined to Shetland. Most of the main line is

dry with just mist and not for the West coast. Nine or 7 degrees

overnight. Tomorrow we will seek westerly winds freshening. So for

areas having up to 20 degrees today, a bit of a change. The showers will

be blustery at times. South of the border, Driver England and Wales,

temperatures in the South East of England up to 20 degrees. Some

rights bills in the West of Scotland but many showers. Most will be

across Western parts of the country but that does westerly winds

dragging them in that we will see a few over in the East as well,

particularly towards Edinburgh and up towards the site. Eastham

Aberdeenshire is very best in terms of the amount of dry some sheltered

weather for the Cairngorms. Generally a fresh feel for many.

Into the evening the showers remain with us, probably a dying end to the

day for the central belt. For the rest of the week, Tuesday onwards,

unsettled with rain showers at times and equal or fresh feel for many.
