Ten people have been injured after a roller-coaster derailed

and crashed at a theme park near Glasgow.

Three children are in a serious condition in hospital.

The accident happened this afternoon at M's in Motherwell.

speeded up, he had plunged to the ground, you could hear the

screaming. Luckily for them the queue was so long that Samuel was

beating and he said he got a cute view of what had happened. I turned

round the corner to go back and it was heavily shaking and everyone was

screaming and it fell off of the lines. It crashed and you heard a

Big Bang. Nearby another teenager could not believe what she was

saying. Once it landed all I could see was people upside down. Everyone

was running in to try and help. Everybody was calling on people and

making sure that they were OK. Emergency services arrived on the

scene shortly afterwards with eight children and two adults taken to

hospital. Three children remain any serious condition in hospital last

night. Five gondolas connected on the Tsunami ride detached from the

real structure and then struck the ground. It was quite clearly

distressing. Eight of the injured are children. The gondola -- NSS

have been seriously damaged, you can see the wreckage. Earlier today this

place was crowded, packed with families enjoying a fun day out,

some of whom, the children would have just been starting to enjoy

their holidays. But tonight this is at the centre of the health and

safety inquiry and the police inquiry.

The First Minister has said she would consider asking Holyrood

to refuse permission for Westminster legislation, which could

ultimately pave the way for the UK's exit from the EU.

Pretty wet for many this afternoon but tonight the remote clear and it

is largely dry. Tomorrow morning, largely it is a dry start and a

bright start for the East of Scotland. In the West you will
