Well, she served to drop a serve in the first set. She has missed two | :04:12. | :04:19.
returns in a row, this one has to go in. They should not lose. | :04:20. | :04:39.
In fairness, it was a very good server. | :04:40. | :05:13.
Zero percentage shots there. If these to get to the final pair are | :05:14. | :05:52.
going to be very popular. Still hasn't made a return in this game. | :05:53. | :06:05.
Just more confirmation of the work that has got to be done on that | :06:06. | :06:15.
forehand. Still need to knuckle down here, because it is Watson's serve | :06:16. | :06:17.
next. They're having a good challenge now. | :06:18. | :06:27.
APPLAUSE # Celebrations for Milos Raonic and | :06:28. | :07:10.
Andy Murray. Also for another Scot, Gordon Reid. | :07:11. | :07:16.
He is through to not one but two finals. The singles wheelchair | :07:17. | :07:22.
finals and the doubles as well. Earlier, after his success, I caught | :07:23. | :07:25.
up with him. No, I don't think I felt pressure. I | :07:26. | :07:31.
had the support. There were a lot of people backing me there. The squad | :07:32. | :07:34.
and the British members of the public as well. I tried to enjoy it | :07:35. | :07:39.
and make the most of the moment. Brilliant there from Gordon Reid and | :07:40. | :07:43.
from Andy Murray as well. He is through to the third Wimbledon | :07:44. | :07:47.
final. He is to take on Milos Raonic of Canada in Sunday's final. I have | :07:48. | :07:51.
to say that Milos Raonic has never reached a Wimbledon final. Andy | :07:52. | :07:54.
Murray has been there three times before. Will it give him an edge? | :07:55. | :07:59.
Who knows. But this may give him the edge, of course, he has won the | :08:00. | :08:03.
championship before. That well, he will take confidence from that. He | :08:04. | :08:09.
is also in great form as we saw out there on Centre Court this afternoon | :08:10. | :08:16.
with the straight set win over Tomas Berdych winning 6-3, 6-3, 6-3, Andy | :08:17. | :08:20.
Murray is through to the final on Sunday. | :08:21. | :08:25.
The police are investigating the deaths of two teenagers at | :08:26. | :08:29.
Scotland's biggest music festival. The officers say that the separate | :08:30. | :08:34.
incidents at T in the Park in Perthshire may be drug-related. Our | :08:35. | :08:38.
reporter is there for us. This is the first full day of T in | :08:39. | :08:44.
the Park. An event aimed at younger music lovers but overshadowed by the | :08:45. | :08:48.
deaths of two 17-year-olds that we heard about today. The police | :08:49. | :08:53.
Scotland were called to two separate incidents, one at midnight, the | :08:54. | :08:56.
other at 5am. They say that the circumstances of | :08:57. | :09:02.
the deaths are unexplained. But it has been shocking to everybody here. | :09:03. | :09:07.
The morning after the first night of T in the Park. | :09:08. | :09:11.
What those waking up don't realise is that there have been two separate | :09:12. | :09:16.
deaths reported at the festival. The Police Scotland say a 17-year-old | :09:17. | :09:21.
man from the West of Scotland and a 17-year-old female from the north of | :09:22. | :09:24.
England died in circumstances not thought to be suspicious. | :09:25. | :09:29.
We are keeping an open mind. But a line of inquiry is that drugs may | :09:30. | :09:36.
have been involved in the deaths. We reiterate the policy of Police | :09:37. | :09:39.
Scotland and the organisers, there is no safe way to take drugs. | :09:40. | :09:43.
The medical team responded quickly and worked hard to save the two | :09:44. | :09:45.
young people but unfortunately they and worked hard to save the two | :09:46. | :09:49.
could not. Our sympathy really is with the family and the friends with | :09:50. | :09:54.
them. This is supposed to be a weekend of | :09:55. | :10:00.
music with mates but as the news spread, it cast a shadow over the | :10:01. | :10:02.
events. It is pretty tragic. You are coming | :10:03. | :10:07.
to a festival to enjoy yourself. You are with friends and stuff. You just | :10:08. | :10:11.
want to have a good time it is horrible to hear about people dying. | :10:12. | :10:16.
They could be your friends. I heard about it. It was frightening. | :10:17. | :10:23.
But we were ringing parents at that say we were OK. But sad. | :10:24. | :10:26.
Sad. The death of a teenager is tragic | :10:27. | :10:30.
Sad. but at an event like this it seems | :10:31. | :10:36.
especially cruel. The Scottish Government says it has | :10:37. | :10:42.
well developed plans to cope with a series of rail strikes that clash | :10:43. | :10:46.
with major events. The Transport Minister chaired a meeting of the | :10:47. | :10:50.
Government's resilience committee ahead of planned strikes that could | :10:51. | :10:56.
affect those travelling to T in the Park and the Open. | :10:57. | :11:02.
This dispute about about driver-only operated trains. The unions have | :11:03. | :11:08.
safety concerns to phase out guards or conductors on the trains. | :11:09. | :11:13.
ScotRail have said that they will always schedule a second person to | :11:14. | :11:18.
be on a train. But talks broke down, that means that the strike action | :11:19. | :11:22.
planned for this week end and next week will go ahead. What does it | :11:23. | :11:28.
mean in terms of disruption? Well, there are 80,000 people at T in the | :11:29. | :11:32.
park. And tens of thousands people heading to the Open. The Scottish | :11:33. | :11:37.
Government's resilience committee have been discussing plans to put in | :11:38. | :11:40.
place. Scotland have not put forward plans | :11:41. | :11:47.
and proposals for their plans for driver controlled operated trains. | :11:48. | :11:52.
It is up to the RMT to go forward. Our call is for the RMT to suspend | :11:53. | :11:58.
strikes and to get around the table so that the passenger is not | :11:59. | :12:01.
disrupted. So getting home from T in the Park, | :12:02. | :12:06.
organisers say that bus is best. Trains running but reduced. Heading | :12:07. | :12:12.
to the Open, psychological rail are putting on additional services that | :12:13. | :12:17.
must be connected up to. So look out for cancellations. The advice is to | :12:18. | :12:24.
plan ahead. The strike days will be Sunday, Monday, Thursday next week | :12:25. | :12:27.
and then Saturday and Sunday the following weekend. | :12:28. | :12:33.
A cancer patient in Edinburgh has been given an accidental overdose of | :12:34. | :12:37.
radiation, double the dose that should have been received. The | :12:38. | :12:42.
patient was being given palliative radio therapy last September. | :12:43. | :12:48.
This reminds people of the terrible and the tragic case of Lisa Norris, | :12:49. | :12:54.
who as a teenager was given an overdose of radio therapy in 2006. | :12:55. | :12:57.
who as a teenager was given an She endured terrible suffering | :12:58. | :13:01.
before her death. The overdose given to this patient was higher than that | :13:02. | :13:07.
given to Lisa Norris but in other ways, the circumstances were | :13:08. | :13:11.
different. Lisa Norris' case was a result of system wide failures. | :13:12. | :13:15.
Following the case much was done to make radio therapy safer. In this | :13:16. | :13:23.
case, individuals made errors, they did calculations that were wrong and | :13:24. | :13:25.
case, individuals made errors, they put in those wrong calculations to | :13:26. | :13:31.
give an overdose of radio therapy. The computer system designed to flag | :13:32. | :13:38.
up mistakes worked and did flag up that an error had been made but they | :13:39. | :13:42.
overroad the computer system. As a result of the investigation into the | :13:43. | :13:46.
case, everyone who uses that particular computer system will be | :13:47. | :13:48.
retrained so that they have confidence in it. The investigation | :13:49. | :13:52.
also appointed out that this happened over a weekend. Following | :13:53. | :13:56.
this case, the NHS Lothian has beefed up the number of specialists | :13:57. | :14:02.
on call. What we don't know is what happened to the patient involved | :14:03. | :14:07.
this time, they are anonymous. We know that they were given the radio | :14:08. | :14:13.
therapy as part of pattiative care, end of life care, it is possible | :14:14. | :14:17.
that they may have passed away before feeling the ill effects. | :14:18. | :14:22.
Scottish farmers are warning of a difficult future when the UK leaves | :14:23. | :14:28.
the European Union. They are meeting John Swinney. He said it was an | :14:29. | :14:32.
issue of concern, he was fighting to keep Scotland in the EU, the UK | :14:33. | :14:38.
Government is pledging continued support. | :14:39. | :14:44.
A sunny day after the rain, ideal conditions for growing crops. | :14:45. | :14:51.
And to meet the deputy firm but Scottish farmers are not facing | :14:52. | :14:55.
ideal conditions in the aftermath of the vote to leave the EU. Yes, there | :14:56. | :14:59.
has been a boost in prices with a fall in the pound but what happens | :15:00. | :15:04.
to generous subsidies from the Common Agriculture Policy? In the | :15:05. | :15:07.
future governments may not match them. | :15:08. | :15:12.
The farm income is reliant on subsidies. I don't see that change. | :15:13. | :15:17.
Until maybe the public learn to pay the real price for food it will be | :15:18. | :15:22.
difficult. We have been assured many times, that Government will look | :15:23. | :15:25.
after us. We have to take their word for it. | :15:26. | :15:31.
And for two years, they are guaranteed, and hopefully we can | :15:32. | :15:36.
press for them to be guaranteed longer. | :15:37. | :15:39.
Listening to the concerns, John Swinney. His Government's wants to | :15:40. | :15:44.
keep Scotland's place in the EU. He says that the farming industry is a | :15:45. | :15:48.
crucial part of that union. We said if that was changed by the | :15:49. | :15:54.
actions of the UK Government, disrespecting the decisions of the | :15:55. | :15:58.
people of Scotland to stay in the EU membership, that is an issue of | :15:59. | :16:02.
address. What we are doing is acting with the energy we have to protect | :16:03. | :16:07.
Scotland's EU membership to ensure that the interest of the agriculture | :16:08. | :16:11.
sector are protected as part of that process. | :16:12. | :16:15.
The Brexit negotiations and future funding deals are in the hand of the | :16:16. | :16:18.
UK Government. Today they said that the Prime Minister was clear, that | :16:19. | :16:22.
there must be a system of agriculture support in the event of | :16:23. | :16:26.
a decision to leave the EU. The Government will work with industry | :16:27. | :16:30.
and the public to develop these new arrangements. | :16:31. | :16:35.
The decision by voters to leave the European Union reverb rates around | :16:36. | :16:39.
this land two weeks on. Farmers are used to uncertainty in their lives | :16:40. | :16:44.
but perhaps this is one factor that they did not bargain for. | :16:45. | :16:55.
Inspectors who visited Aberdeen creme torable say staff working | :16:56. | :17:03.
there at the time when babies were cremated with unrelated adults see | :17:04. | :17:07.
themselves as the victims, unions insist that the language used has | :17:08. | :17:11.
not come from the staff. For years, these walls contained a | :17:12. | :17:18.
secret: An unethical and abhorrent practice, jointly cremating babies | :17:19. | :17:23.
with unrelated adults. The manager that oversaw the actions sacked but | :17:24. | :17:27.
many who carried out the cremations are still here. The report follows | :17:28. | :17:34.
an ininspector's visit last Thursday that gives a positive assessment but | :17:35. | :17:40.
says a number of employ years there before the process changed regard | :17:41. | :17:44.
themselves as being the victims. Scot Wells died of cot death after a | :17:45. | :17:49.
month of life. His father says what he is hearing is nothing short of | :17:50. | :17:52.
offensive. It is an insult. Rubbing salt in the | :17:53. | :17:58.
wounds. It is hard enough as it is. The parents are in a difficult | :17:59. | :18:00.
situation. It is hard enough as it is, with the | :18:01. | :18:04.
report that has come out. And then to hear this, that they are the | :18:05. | :18:08.
victims... Well, unbelievable, really. | :18:09. | :18:14.
Last week's inspection followed a damning report into the running of | :18:15. | :18:17.
this crematorium. But this union leader says it is the reports that | :18:18. | :18:22.
describes them as victims not the workers themselves. | :18:23. | :18:25.
I need to be clear that no member of staff has come forward to say that | :18:26. | :18:31.
they feel that way. That they feel they are the victims. | :18:32. | :18:37.
In an exclusive sense, as that is clearly not true. | :18:38. | :18:44.
The chief executive of Aberdeen City Council declined the request for a | :18:45. | :18:49.
interview. She said that the outcome of the inspection will now form part | :18:50. | :18:54.
of the report. That report is expected to be | :18:55. | :19:00.
presented next month. Now let's take a look at other | :19:01. | :19:07.
stories from across the country. Two people died and another | :19:08. | :19:11.
seriously injured in an accident south of Edinburgh, it happened on | :19:12. | :19:17.
the A 68, Dalkeith by pass. A man and a woman died at the scene, | :19:18. | :19:23.
another man was taken to Edinburgh royal infirmary. Police appealed for | :19:24. | :19:30.
witnesses after a fatal crash on the outskirts of Dumfries. The driver | :19:31. | :19:34.
and a 25-year-old woman died when the car lost control on the roads. | :19:35. | :19:39.
The collide passenger ferry is to be run with a bigger boat, designed to | :19:40. | :19:44.
operate in rougher weather than the current veriesle. The service | :19:45. | :19:48.
requires bidders to provide a boat up to 40 metres in length up from 26 | :19:49. | :19:54.
metres at present. Ten new galleries at the National Museum of Scotland | :19:55. | :19:58.
opened to the public. Exhibits were unveiled after a ?14 million upgrade | :19:59. | :20:03.
of the popular attraction. Museum bosses hope that the investment in | :20:04. | :20:07.
the science and the arts sections make them more attractive for the | :20:08. | :20:13.
visitors. Glasgow's George Square has been transformed as it prepares | :20:14. | :20:19.
to host the homeless World Cup. The Egypt features 48 mens' and 68 | :20:20. | :20:28.
womens' teams. Scotland last hosted this event in Edinburgh in 57. | :20:29. | :20:33.
It is a free football tournament, taking place in George Square, the | :20:34. | :20:37.
teams are homeless people from around the world. We are changing | :20:38. | :20:41.
their lives. The Queen has been to see a portrait | :20:42. | :20:47.
of herself unveiled in Edinburgh. Commissioned by the Royal Company of | :20:48. | :20:55.
Archers to mark her 90th birthday. The work is by the artist Mickey | :20:56. | :21:02.
Phillips is to hang in the dining room at Archer's Hall in Edinburgh. | :21:03. | :21:08.
It has been a testing day for the players in the second round of | :21:09. | :21:13.
golf's Scottish Open near Inverness. Earlier a New Zealander showing | :21:14. | :21:18.
everyone else how to do it, before a Swede put in a late surge. Richie | :21:19. | :21:25.
Ramsey is the leading Scot. By the wind of yesterday, after it | :21:26. | :21:32.
eased, Castle Stuart and her length, found protection from the | :21:33. | :21:35.
conditions. Something that Russell Knocks was keen to take on. | :21:36. | :21:41.
But it was New Zealander, Danny Lee, showing everyone how to do it. | :21:42. | :21:48.
Lee carding a round of 66 to become the early clubhouse leader on | :21:49. | :21:51.
7-under par. I always love to start my round hard | :21:52. | :21:57.
and put birdies in early, to get my momentum going. I've been doing that | :21:58. | :22:02.
well in the last two days. Birdies were not the only thing on | :22:03. | :22:08.
view around Castle Stuart. Three-time major championship, | :22:09. | :22:10.
Padraig Harrington was putting on a show. | :22:11. | :22:17.
Marks were being carded of about 70. This man missed his tea last night | :22:18. | :22:23.
to visit the old golf club! I am hungry. It is tough out there. | :22:24. | :22:27.
Looking forward to a good lunch. It has been a hell of a 24 hours. | :22:28. | :22:33.
I'm an athlete, a beast. I don't get tired! That bacon roll shows you are | :22:34. | :22:39.
tired? Of course, a little tired. The adrenaline is in me, that helps. | :22:40. | :22:45.
The leading Scot, though, is Richie Ramsey, shots like this helping the | :22:46. | :22:53.
Aberdonian card of 68 to 4-under par. But the biggest mover, the new | :22:54. | :23:01.
leader of the Scottish Open, is Alex Norman. A shot clear of the field -- | :23:02. | :23:07.
Noren. Now, let's see what to expect from | :23:08. | :23:12.
the weather forecast. Chris, it was nice for Beyonce, what for the other | :23:13. | :23:16.
musical events. Tell us about Beyonce? Brilliant, as | :23:17. | :23:22.
you might imagine. I know you are a fan Sally, surprised you were not | :23:23. | :23:24.
there. Now the weather. | :23:25. | :23:30.
A lovely end to the day across many parts of the country. Here the cloud | :23:31. | :23:35.
is melting into sunshine. Many scenes like this one. | :23:36. | :23:40.
So the evening at T in the park, sunshine, set fair. But through the | :23:41. | :23:44.
course of the week, there is a change afoot. | :23:45. | :23:46.
Tonight you will see the chart there. There is sunshine. Largely | :23:47. | :23:53.
dry but overnight the cloud builds and the rain arrives pushing its way | :23:54. | :23:57.
into the country. It is a cloudy night. Wet for many and mild. | :23:58. | :24:04.
Temperatures about 13 Celsius. In the north, clearer conditions but a | :24:05. | :24:08.
touch cooler. The wet weather is with us tomorrow morning. Courtesy | :24:09. | :24:15.
of the low pressure in the Atlantic. We will not see the high winds that | :24:16. | :24:19.
were forecast but still the cloud and the rain. | :24:20. | :24:24.
Initially, that first band of rain stretching towards Orkney, behind it | :24:25. | :24:29.
drying out but then more rain pushing through the day, personally | :24:30. | :24:34.
in the south and in the east. By mid-afternoon, cloudy with outbreaks | :24:35. | :24:37.
of rain. Temperatures in the high teens, up to 20 Celsius in the | :24:38. | :24:42.
central lowlands. As the cloud breaks, feeling humid. That wet | :24:43. | :24:46.
weather is in play for most of the country. Certainly across the | :24:47. | :24:51.
north-west it could be murky. The wet weather over Orkney, never | :24:52. | :24:55.
reaching the Shetlands until later, it is coming your way. Hillwalking | :24:56. | :25:00.
or climbing in the western ranges there will be outbreaks of rain. | :25:01. | :25:03.
or climbing in the western ranges Winds in the southerly direction. In | :25:04. | :25:07.
the eastern ranges likely to see the bright spells and a number of | :25:08. | :25:11.
showers that will be hill. For the border hills, just heavy rain. | :25:12. | :25:17.
The rest of the afternoon into the evening, the wet weather clears but | :25:18. | :25:21.
then further outbreaks of rain. On Sunday, the low pressure is with us, | :25:22. | :25:27.
so the unsettled theme continues. Starting Sunday for eastern areas, | :25:28. | :25:34.
including Inverness and Aberdeen, some sunshine, showers. The showers | :25:35. | :25:40.
turning heavy over Murray and Aberdeenshire. A humid feel. South | :25:41. | :25:45.
of the border, he has done it. He's in the final. The weather? A chance | :25:46. | :25:50.
of a shower or two pushing through, the roof may not stay open. That's | :25:51. | :25:55.
the forecast for now. A reminder of the news: Five | :25:56. | :25:59.
officers are dead, seven wounded after being shot during a peaceful | :26:00. | :26:05.
