Scots have been marking the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist

In Glasgow, a memorial service was held at Cathcart Old Parish

A familiar hymn cherished on both sides of the Atlantic. The links

between this Glasgow parish and the events of 15 years ago run deep. In

the aftermath of the tragedy, the reverend Neil Galbraith founded a

charity which sent disaster relief teams to New York. We went across as

a team. We brought over 70 family -- families to Scotland on holidays and

we continued to work and advise them on family partnerships. In message

of solidarity from the Muslim community invited to this service as

equal partners to pay their respects and to make an important point.

Muslims have a bad name for being terrorists. They are not doing it in

my name or the name of Islam. It's important to take this opportunity

to be involved today. The theme of unity is also reflected in a new

charity single highlighting the bonds between the pipes and drums of

the Scottish Fire Service and the Fire Department of New York. These

are the guys who played at every single funeral, 343 funerals and

they continued to play because they continue to die from diseases they

got. We wanted to include that in the video and music. Since 9/11, for

many Scots, their solidarity with our American cousins is as strong as

ever. The son of the former loyalist

been released from prison. Police are treating
