More than 1,000 campaigners have taken part

in a march in Edinburgh, supporting the European Union.

They gathered outside the Scottish Parliament

but Brexit supporters say it's time to move on and get

the best deal for the UK. Suzanne Allan reports.

There are many reasons why people here don't want except. Worries over

the price of cheese appears to be just one of them -- Brexit. 1500

men, women and dogs gathered to support the European Union. London

and Rome took part in a Europe-wide celebration on the anniversary of

the creation of the EEC. In Edinburgh the talk was of trade,

peace and citizens rights. We can stand together and sure we're happy

with this happening and we can see what happens moving forward, if

there is a referendum. The more people understand what is at stake

the more will get involved in the campaign and the more but understand

we need to have that progressive future with Europe get involved to

make sure it happens. Politicians from various parties gave speeches.

Next week Theresa May is going to trigger article 50 against the will

of the Scottish people who voted 62% to remain. We are here to mark the

60th anniversary of the start of the EU and say Brexit will not be

triggered in our name and Scotland voted to remain. But not everyone is
