Ruth Davidson took to the airwaves with her message, Scotland does


The SNP is not Scotland and they are acting


against the majority wishes in their proposition on Monday.


Scottish Government ministers disagree.

The Scottish Conservative leader is not buying it.


This is about using whatever is at hand to break the UK.

Nicola Sturgeon says this is about choice.


She wants it to be a European future.

Not instead of trading across the UK but in addition to that.


Ms Sturgeon is adamant a referendum must be before Brexit


but she had this message for the Prime Minister on timing.


It is for her to say what timescale is appropriate and then I am happy


The Scottish parliament will vote during the week and Nicola Sturgeon


hopes that will put more pressure on the UK Government,


but with little sign of a breakthrough, this debate


will continue potentially for some time.


Scotland's food and drink exports rose to a record


?5.5 billion last year, according to new figures


Business is brisk at this Edinburgh market.


As well as selling here, many producers are trying to tap


Exports rose by 8% overall last year.


We have cold smoked as well as hot smoked.


The seafood sector surged with sales to Asia.


Scotland's brand is increasing year-on-year.


People are looking for premium products


Whiskey makes up most of our food and drink exports.


Food exports have doubled in a decade.


Smaller producers are keen Scotland retains diversity in its products.


All food related agencies need to enable us and the curtailment


is causing an issue where food producers have been curtailed


We want the whole food industry and policy to sing


Growing sales are welcome but there is concern about Brexit.


Over ?2 billion of Scottish food and exports went


That compares to 8.5 billion to the rest of the UK.


Later this week, plans will be unveiled to make food and drink


One more win will see Celtic take the Premiership title again,


after beating Dundee 2-1 at Dens Park.

with this weather front bringing outbreaks of rain and windy


conditions. Tomorrow the winds introduce a showery regime. It will


be a cloudy start with that rain around with gales along the West


Coast. Windy everywhere although the rain clears away quite quickly and


then we're into those blustery showers feeding across the country.


The showers turned to snow over the hills, few showers over eastern


Scotland where we will see the best of the sunshine. As far as the rest


of the week is concerned, it does turn colder and it will be showery


as well. There are updates during Breakfast,
