TV OFF It's easy to switch off.

After the events of the past year alone, it's understandable

that most of us feel overwhelmed by the current political climate.

We're frustrated by how things are run.

Decisions are made without us ever being asked what we really need.

In the coming weeks,

communities all over Scotland will go to the polls

to elect the people who will run their councils,

making decisions about their health and social care,

their education, their local libraries and sports centres,

their housing and green spaces, and so much more.

We all use council services every day without even thinking

about it, whether it's our kids' schools,

catching the bus to work, or just taking the bins out.

All of these things matter in our daily lives,

but it seems like we have little say in them.

we have with our friends, family and neighbours.

to be the champions for change and the voices that our councils need

to support caring communities and create homes across Scotland.

Our homes are more than just the roof over our heads.

It's the place we belong to, where we feel safe and can be ourselves.

It's somewhere to be proud of.

We want Scotland to be a welcoming home for all.
