In just a few weeks, we go to the polls once again
to elect a new UK government.
The stakes at this election really could not be higher.
Our country is deeply divided
and more than ever,
we need a government to bring us together,
not one that is trying to drive us further apart.
Right across Scotland, you have the opportunity to tell Nicola Sturgeon
that we do not want another divisive independence referendum.
The best way to do this is by electing a Labour MP,
who will always put jobs and local services first,
and a Labour government that will be for the many, not the few.
Labour's always been rooted in progress,
compassion and fairness,
which is why, when Labour is in government,
we achieve remarkable things.
The minimum wage,
rights for workers,
investment in our NHS,
120,000 children lifted out of poverty in Scotland,
winter fuel allowance,
the Scottish Parliament.
The Tories only offer us a hard Brexit that is a threat to jobs,
tax breaks for the privileged few
and an economy that relies on low-paid and zero-hours jobs,
while the richest get richer.
Their recklessness is tearing the fabric of this great country apart.
Over the past seven years,
the Tories have put their own interests first
and the SNP always puts
a second divisive independence referendum first.
Neither party is interested in the fact
that living standards have declined
and too many people are in low-paid, insecure jobs.
A Labour government will make different, fairer
and better choices.
A Labour government will introduce a real living wage of £10 an hour.
We'll protect pensioners
by guaranteeing the triple lock until 2025
and we'll ban zero-hour contracts
to give workers the right to a fair day's pay.
The Labour movement, led by Jeremy Corbyn and Kezia Dugdale,
will always believe in progress, compassion and fairness.
That's why Scotland needs a Labour government
that puts our principles into practice,
in the place where Labour should be, in power,
working in the interests of working people.
The election will decide what the future will be.
For a compassionate country, for the many, not the few,
vote Labour on the 8th of June.
