and that's what we should be focusing on for our future.

0:00:140:00:14

Since the Independence referendum,

0:00:160:00:17

friendships and families have been divided.

0:00:170:00:20

We've seen so much division. So much of the politics of "us" and "them".

0:00:200:00:23

You can no longer have a healthy conversation about politics.

0:00:230:00:26

It's now become a thing that you just don't talk about

0:00:260:00:28

if you don't want to start an argument.

0:00:280:00:30

Other Scots looked at you in a different way,

0:00:300:00:32

just because you chose a different vision for your country.

0:00:320:00:35

We've spent too many years obsessing

0:00:350:00:37

over the differences that divide us

0:00:370:00:38

and we've not achieved anything greater within that time.

0:00:380:00:41

I'm from the Western Isles and I've had lots of friends and family

0:00:410:00:44

have to move away from the island to find work on the mainland.

0:00:440:00:48

It's become a particular problem for young people in Scotland today.

0:00:480:00:51

We need a government that's focused on creating jobs

0:00:510:00:54

all across the country, no matter where you live.

0:00:540:00:56

Politics is already so polarised,

0:00:560:00:58

and the attention's taken away from places where it should be.

0:00:580:01:01

As a medical student,

0:01:010:01:02

you do see the struggles of the healthcare service.

0:01:020:01:05

I work as a domestic at St John's in Livingston.

0:01:050:01:07

It's sad to see one of our greatest assets as a country

0:01:070:01:11

just left at the side of the agenda.

0:01:110:01:13

When the NHS works, it changes people's lives.

0:01:130:01:17

It's such an important part of being Scottish.

0:01:170:01:19

Right now, I'm training to be a teacher

0:01:190:01:21

because if my teachers weren't there for me,

0:01:210:01:23

then I would've probably fallen through the railings.

0:01:230:01:26

Education is the most powerful weapon that a country can ever use,

0:01:260:01:29

and that's why I think it's so important

0:01:290:01:31

that we invest in it instead of cutting it.

0:01:310:01:33

Unity means pulling together for the benefit of everyone,

0:01:330:01:36

despite where someone comes from or what they look like.

0:01:360:01:39

The world is changing so quickly that it's more important than ever

0:01:390:01:42

that Scotland's voice is heard.

0:01:420:01:43

The best way to achieve this is as part of the UK,

0:01:430:01:46

but still allowing the decisions that affect Scotland the most

0:01:460:01:49

to be taken in the Scottish Parliament.

0:01:490:01:51

We're divided enough. We need to unite now.

0:01:510:01:53

We need to see what's best for Scotland.

0:01:530:01:55

There's far more that we agree on than what we disagree on

0:01:550:01:58

and that's what we should be focusing on for our future.

0:01:580:02:01

Scotland is stronger as a nation when we work together.

0:02:010:02:03

Just look at what we've achieved in the past -

0:02:030:02:06

the NHS, the minimum wage, the Scottish Parliament -

0:02:060:02:09

all things won against the odds because we chose to stand as one.

0:02:090:02:13

We have an opportunity now to create a nation that we all want.

0:02:130:02:16

We all voted for a better Scotland. Let's make one.

0:02:160:02:19

At the elections on May 4th,

0:02:190:02:21

a vote for Labour is a vote against dividing our country

0:02:210:02:23

with another referendum.

0:02:230:02:25

It's a vote for more investment in our schools

0:02:250:02:28

and to stop cuts to local NHS services.

0:02:280:02:31

Now, more than ever, Scotland needs to focus on creating jobs,

0:02:310:02:34

growing our economy and increasing family income -

0:02:340:02:38

not calling for another referendum.

0:02:380:02:40

Our country is divided enough.

0:02:400:02:42

Together we're stronger.

0:02:420:02:44

On May 4th, vote Labour.
