What a mess. | 0:00:15 | 0:00:16
I'm not surprised that Stormont has imploded. | 0:00:16 | 0:00:21
It was bound to happen. | 0:00:21 | 0:00:23
It's time to face facts - | 0:00:23 | 0:00:26
facts which TUV has long proclaimed. | 0:00:26 | 0:00:30
Sinn Fein is not in Stormont to make Northern Ireland work. | 0:00:30 | 0:00:34
That is the fundamental reality which lies behind every crisis. | 0:00:34 | 0:00:41
Thus, a system of government that insists that such a party must, | 0:00:42 | 0:00:49
as of right, be at the heart of government, | 0:00:49 | 0:00:52
is never going to succeed, no matter how many fresh starts | 0:00:52 | 0:00:58
are falsely promised. | 0:00:58 | 0:01:00
Let's look at the riddle of Stormont. | 0:01:00 | 0:01:03
We've RHI, the latest Stormont scandal, | 0:01:03 | 0:01:08
where your money is going up in smoke | 0:01:08 | 0:01:11
because of crass incompetence, | 0:01:11 | 0:01:15
for which no-one will take responsibility. | 0:01:15 | 0:01:19
But it's not the only scandal - Red Sky, expenses claims | 0:01:19 | 0:01:24
and, of course, Nama. | 0:01:24 | 0:01:27
They have all brought Stormont into disrepute. | 0:01:27 | 0:01:31
All of which points to misrule. | 0:01:31 | 0:01:33
Good times for ministers but no good government for you. | 0:01:33 | 0:01:38
Waiting lists out of control, | 0:01:39 | 0:01:42
health collapsing, | 0:01:42 | 0:01:43
schools desperate for cash. | 0:01:43 | 0:01:45
And all Stormont can contribute | 0:01:45 | 0:01:48
is another crisis. | 0:01:48 | 0:01:51
All this shambles costs you, | 0:01:51 | 0:01:55
because you pay for its squander, | 0:01:55 | 0:01:58
running up to more than £2 billion of debt. | 0:01:58 | 0:02:04
When it suits, the DUP and Sinn Fein cosy up together. | 0:02:04 | 0:02:09
But then, when, as at election time, | 0:02:10 | 0:02:14
they need to scaremonger against each other, they skirmish. | 0:02:14 | 0:02:19
What a sham. | 0:02:19 | 0:02:21
In truth, it's all about power, | 0:02:21 | 0:02:24
whereas it should be about you... | 0:02:24 | 0:02:26
..and delivering the good government | 0:02:30 | 0:02:32
that you deserve. | 0:02:32 | 0:02:34
This Stormont system will never work. | 0:02:34 | 0:02:36
Devolution will only succeed through a coalition of the willing. | 0:02:38 | 0:02:43
But if that is not possible, because we need government, | 0:02:43 | 0:02:48
then let British ministers take over the Executive. | 0:02:48 | 0:02:52
But this time, make them accountable to the Assembly. | 0:02:52 | 0:02:56
Things don't have to stay | 0:02:56 | 0:02:58
stuck as they are. | 0:02:58 | 0:02:59
On the 2nd of March, | 0:02:59 | 0:03:01
you will give your verdict. | 0:03:01 | 0:03:02
Your one opportunity to force change. | 0:03:06 | 0:03:11
Remember, you get what you vote for. | 0:03:11 | 0:03:14
Vote for the same parties again and you'll get more of the same - | 0:03:14 | 0:03:19
the very thing that isn't working. | 0:03:19 | 0:03:22
We can't go on like this. | 0:03:22 | 0:03:24
It's time to drain | 0:03:25 | 0:03:26
the Stormont swamp. | 0:03:26 | 0:03:28
It's time to vote TUV. | 0:03:28 | 0:03:31 |
