People don't expect miracles from politicians,

0:00:070:00:09

but they do expect a level of respect,

0:00:090:00:11

compassion and fairness, and a basic level of competence.

0:00:110:00:15

Yet, what have we got? Cameron's chaos,

0:00:150:00:19

more Budget blundering and a Government which seems more

0:00:190:00:22

out of touch with ordinary people than ever.

0:00:220:00:25

They are fighting with hard-working junior doctors in England,

0:00:250:00:28

and to top it off, civil war on Europe, again.

0:00:280:00:32

It is bad for business, bad for communities, bad for Wales.

0:00:320:00:37

You know what, though?

0:00:370:00:38

Politicians are not all the same.

0:00:380:00:41

I got into politics to try to help people, to create a fairer society.

0:00:460:00:51

We are on a different path from the Tories in England.

0:00:510:00:54

A path which tries to unite, rather than divide,

0:00:540:00:57

which gives opportunity to all, not just the few,

0:00:570:01:00

and which rewards those who work hard in our communities.

0:01:000:01:03

This is a journey we're on together, for Wales.

0:01:030:01:05

We've had to make some tough choices

0:01:050:01:07

over the course of the last five years,

0:01:070:01:09

but what we've never done is to turn people against each other, or indeed

0:01:090:01:13

to balance the books on the backs of those who are the lowest paid.

0:01:130:01:16

I'm proud of the jobs that we've brought into Wales,

0:01:160:01:18

the skills we've made sure our people are able to get,

0:01:180:01:20

the fact we've got the best GCSE results ever

0:01:200:01:23

and we are building schools in Wales,

0:01:230:01:25

the fact that we are seeing improvements in stroke and

0:01:250:01:28

cancer care in Wales, and the fact that we'd never privatise our NHS.

0:01:280:01:32

We've delivered in tough times.

0:01:320:01:33

We know that there's more to do, but we have the energy

0:01:330:01:36

and the passion and the ideas to make sure that Wales

0:01:360:01:39

continues on the right path.

0:01:390:01:41

Well, we're going to offer free childcare for working parents

0:01:410:01:44

who have three- and four-year-old children,

0:01:440:01:46

100,000 apprenticeships for people of all ages,

0:01:460:01:49

a new treatments fund in the NHS, tax cuts for small businesses,

0:01:490:01:53

£100 million extra for our schools, and doubling the capital limit

0:01:530:01:57

for those people who need to go into residential care.

0:01:570:02:01

The stakes in this election have never been higher -

0:02:010:02:03

Welsh Labour, who can deliver prosperity and security,

0:02:030:02:06

or importing Cameron's chaos into Wales

0:02:060:02:09

with the help of some of the other parties.

0:02:090:02:11

Wales has been on the right path for the last five years

0:02:110:02:13

and what we're saying to people is, we need a Welsh Labour Government

0:02:130:02:16

for the next five years to take Wales forward.

0:02:160:02:19

Together For Wales - that's what Welsh Labour believe in.

0:02:210:02:24

Clear leadership, a clear sense of direction,

0:02:240:02:28

delivering a fair deal for all of our communities.

0:02:280:02:31

Join us on that path - Together For Wales.
