HE SPEAKS IRISH

This year, in elections north and south,

a record number of Sinn Fein TDs, MLAs and senators have been elected.

We're now in a position to effect real change north and south,

and to build towards a united Ireland.

Much has already been achieved.

The Orange State has gone, and Belfast is a changed city.

Republicans are active at the heart of political institutions

right across Ireland.

This year, for the first time, the Sinn Fein Ard Fheis is in Belfast.

Sinn Fein has been the engine driving the peace process forward.

In the negotiations over many years, we have stood for equality,

for fairness, for justice and for rights.

Your rights. Your entitlements.

My pledge to you is to continue working tirelessly

and to continue delivering for you and for your family

in the years ahead.

We know that there are families out there

who are struggling to make ends meet.

Our young people are being forced to emigrate once again.

Our elderly are feeling vulnerable.

But Sinn Fein has risen to major challenges before.

We don't give up, we persevere. We prevail.

This is a time for change,

and you can be part of bringing about that change.

We don't have to accept partition, unemployment or austerity.

In February this year, 14 Sinn Fein TDs were returned to the Dail,

the largest number since partition.

We have much work to do. There are many challenges.

With representation in Europe and in councils across Ireland,

with the strengthened team of TDs in Leinster House

and a new team in the Assembly,

Sinn Fein is the only all-Ireland voice.
