To the touchdown. Unbelievable! Intercepted at the goalline. The New

England Patriots are the NFL champions. Good evening. Welcome to

a new series of American football highlights as the 32 NFL teams race

to Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara next February. Joining me in the studio

are two men who know the NFL inside out. Former quarterback Jason Bell

and over by the touch screen another former Giant and two-time Super Bowl

winner in OC Omanyora. We will be here to chart the progress of the

race to the Super Bowl 50 here to chart the progress of the

Bowl! Unbelievable. I see the look in your eye. I have got it today.

I've had it for three days. Oh, my God! One game, one dream, one team.

The ultimate goal, bayy - the super bowl! This is it. We have worked

harder than anybody to get here. No-one can boat us. Go out and play

this ball game like I know you can play it. On three. 1, 2, 3! The

Patriots are 93... The Super Bowl champions. Woo! C'mon. Head-first. A

touchdown. I don't know how he did it! That is it, boy! Look what you

freakin'' did. Put that trophy up again. It is the greatest feeling?

The world! So we are looking back at NFL Week 9 which sees us at the

halfway point of the season as we race to Super Bowl 50 and here is

what on is on offer tonight. COMMENTATOR: Touchdown! San

Francisco is no stranger to the Super Bowl. Their beloved 49ers have

taken top honours on five occasions. Lawrence Taylor is the most dominant

man on the field and crushing everything in his past. He really

solidified me being a New York Giants fan. As well as all of that,

we would like to hear from you as well. A couple of ways to do that.

If you are new to the sport. Jason and OC could be answering your

questions. We are going to start with the NFC match-up between the

north division leading Green Bay Packers, the only fan-owned team in

the League who visited the South Division, the Carolina Panthers.

Here is their history. Undefeated Carolina entertained a

Green Bay outfit still smarting from losing their own unbeaten tag to

Denver last week. Coupled with a strong defence, the quarterback Cam

Newton was looking for a receiver, such as Greg Olsen, to put points on

the board and maintain the only unbeaten record in the NFC and leave

them in poll position for a place in the play-offs.

Rodgers slings it - caught! Touchdown! Great play by Aaron

Rodgers as Richard Rogers is on the receiving end and the Packers jump

on top. That is one of the best 1-yard touchdowns you will ever see.

You got to be careful. An outstanding job. He made a good

three. Listen to the Packer fans making the noise. Newton is going to

throw in wide-open Cotchery. Absolutely left alone. Brought down

at the 15. 59 yards to Jerricho Cotchery. Newton is going to take it

and score the touchdown over the top! Fifth of the year for Cam

Newton. 38 rushing touchdown since 2011. That is pretty unbelievable.

Elevated and stretched the ball out. We have seen him now on third and

one and now right down here on the goal on first down - if think only

need a foot to a yard, there is a good bet that Cam Newton is going to

get the ball and make it. We saw Julius Peppers playing keep-away

after the touchdown for Cam Newton, but he got it back. Then he gave it

away. Some more frustration for the Green Bay offence as they try to

figure out answers here today against Carolina after Aaron Rodgers

had the 77-yard passing day at Denver last Sunday night. Newton

keeps it and just heaves it down the middle for Funchess. The rookie has

got it. What a catch! Randallwas all over it. 52 yards from Cam Newton.

Great concentration from Funchess. The perfect three to Cam Newton.

Touchdown! Olsen. Catch No. 500 in the career of Greg Olsen. So far

Aaron Rodgers in this game has only 38 passing yards as he and the

Packers trail by 13. Here is Lacy. The ball is out. Carolina has got

it. TY Hilton is one of the best in the history of this sport enforcing

fumbles. He has come in and plays outside a quarter and sees the ball

exposed and knocks it out on Eddie Lacy and the struggles continue for

that young man. The Panthers pick it up. Flag. Touchdown, Carolina! Corey

Brown. He leans in. He makes contact on Demetrie Goodsonment another big

play from Cam Newton. When you are playing on the road it is hard to

win anyway. When you are going up against a team who is undefeated and

has such great momentum as they do, you have got to be perfect. The

Packers have been anything but. Cobb, touchdown! What a play. A good

start to the second half for the Packers. 53 yards and the Packers

have life. 11.23 left on the clock. Newton slings it. Funchess

touchdown! Not bad coverage by randle but strong hands by Devin

Funchess and they cap this drive with an exclamation mark. The most

points allowed by the Packers this season. There is infighting going

onon the inside for Green Bay Packers. Clinton-Dix came over and

was talking to Julius Peppers and BJ Raji stood up and said, "Get back

over there" and the two started to shove each other. That is not a good

scene on the bench for a team that is 6-1 coming in. Starks. First

down. Gets a block. Still rolling. Touchdown!

And Green Bay is not finished yet. 29 yards. Newton fires past. Broken

up. No flag is thrown. Funchess, the intended target. It is a big stop on

third down. Three for five on fourth down this season. Forced to go

forward here. They have been working inside to Randall Cobb and they have

got Davante Adams. Rodgers spins out a bit. Pass is caught for the first

down by James Jones! What a play by Rodgers and a great catch on the

back end by Jones. As Rodgers stays alive, he's got to put it up high in

order to give Rodgers a chance and then it is a jump ball and it goes

through the hands there of Josh Norman and what a catch by James

Jones. Pass caught, Rodgers touchdown!

We will see what Mike decides to do. If he risks stopping the clock with

incompletions or if he will play it closer to the vessel. They have got

to get some first downs, no doubt. From the 20. They will start with a

throw. Pass is caught! Was he in bounds? Interception by Rueben

Randle. -- Demerius Randall. The call is interception and the

question will be when did he gain complete possession? After review

the ruling on the ground stands. Interception Green Bay. The Green

Bay Packers have converted one-fourth down on this drive.

Davis. Peppers will take over. Randall Cobb is in the flat. As you

are going to see here, they run the natural pick. Right there, bang, and

there is nobody out there in the flat but because of Mario Addison

getting the pressure back in Rodgers' face, he can't see it and

that is the ball game. It is exhilarating and frustrating when

you make a mistake lick that. I had an easy opportunity for a pitch and

catch dust-down and I got scared by something. I can't explain it. It is

a mistake by myself. I'll definitely be thinking about that one on the

ride home. But we got the move on tomorrow and get ready for division

stretch. The undefeated Carolina Panthers and a big reason why they

are undefeated is the play of this man right here, Cam Newton, who is

part of the new breed of elite NFL quarterbacks who can boat you with

their arms and their feet and I am going to show you why. Here he is

quarterback like Cam Newton you have the play on a mush-rush. What is

that? It sounds like prison food but it is not. It is keeping the

quarterback in the pocket. This is what they are doing here initilly.

man BJ Roger decides h doesn't want to eat prison food. He wants steak

and lobster so he decides to go up the fold and, as you see here, Cam

Newton immediately spots that, takes off down the field for a big game.

You definitely don't want Cam Newton running down the field looking at

you like that. Look at him get height. Over here you will see him

bet you with his arms. What you won't see is initially Cam Newton

looking for the right. What is he looking for? For safety. He goes

back across the field - boom! Hits his man, Brown all the way down the

feel for the touchdown. What a great play by Cam Newton. Last, but not

least, we see the athleticism of this man. The athleticism of this

monster, newt mute newt. Check this out. As he drops back, he sees the

hold and runs to the middle of the field. Oh, my God, I got to take

that back. Wow! Wow, Cam Newton! Look at this playright here. He

leaps over like Superman. That is why they call him Super-Cam. Look

what he does right here, ah, ah, ah, ahhhh! What you call that over

there, Mark? That is the hit done folk. There you have it Super-Cam,

hitting them with the "hit them folk", let's go. Will leave him

dancing over there. If you are a Packers fan watching this. Should

you be concerned if they have lost two of the spin? I don't think so.

They are a championship calibre team. They know how to win and have

a great coaching staff and they had a chance to win this game. Those

defeats, against the Panthers and the Broncos? Exactly. Great

defences. All of the stuff going onon the side line and little rucks,

he has no problem with that because it means the guys have shown

passion. If you were in that squad would you have a problem with it? I

wouldn't and of course he has to say that, still they are not the kind of

team that does that. They are a tight unit so to see that, it was

kind of controversial to me. Jason, thank you. The Carolina Panthers

remain undefeated as we race to Super Bowl 50 but there are other

teams yet to be beaten in Week 9. Eddie butler explains how they got

on starting with Denver Broncos and the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts

COMMENTATOR: It is down the sideline. Bolden. Can you believe

it? With in time left, Bolden takes it the distance. It sparked the

second-half revival that saw the teams level at 24 points apiece

before Colts' kicker Manuel Valls added a field goal toive --

Sharnelle Vella added a field goal. He through an interception to Darius

Butler and coupled with two defensive penalties, the Broncos

couldn't get the ball back. The Colts held on for a famous victory.

Julian Edelman got the New England Patriots off to a perfect start

where this touchdown reception as they eased past the Washington

Redskins 27-10 to post a record and top the AFC East. The Bengals'

effort only caught five passes last week but three were for touchdowns

as Cincinnati remained undefeated with a 31-10 victory. I want to

start with the Bengals. I got a tweet from a Bengal fan. "I am super

excited about the first ever 16 and over Super Bowl. The Patriots v Pan

Pacific Open should be an amazing game. " They are fatalistic. What

can you say to give them confidence? They should be fatalistic. This is

not going to happen for the Cincinnati ban gals. Granted they

are a very good football team and they are playing very good football

right now but the Cincinnati team are not the sort of team to go

undefeatedment I said what can you do to give them a positive message?

Can you give them one? I can't guarantee 16 but they are a good

team and playing very well. I feel sorry for the fans because they want

something bad to happen and always have but they need confidence in

this team. When you look at the three undefeated teams in Carolina

and Cincinnati and New England Patriots who is the best bet for you

to go 16? New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers. Basically not

Cincinnati. You can only do one? What I would say is the New England

Patriots, but guess who they are playing this week? The New York

Giants. And they have a tendency to lose to the New York Giants. One

other bit of news that has broken coming out of the Indianapolis Colts

is that Andrew Luck will be out for between 2-6 weeks with a lacerated

kidney, which is obviously bad news for him and bad news for the Colts.

Each week, as we head towards Super Bowl 50, we will visit one of the

NFL stadiums to sample the atmosphere. Where better to start

than the Leviathan home of the San Francisco 49ers and our guide is

Keith Bruce, CEO of the hosting committee. On January 185th, 1967

convince Lombardy's Green Bay Packers took the inaugral Super Bowl

in Los Angeles with an emphatic win over the Kansas Chiefs. They return

to the golden state once again to mark the golden anniversary Super

Bowl 50. Super Bowl 50 in 2016 has been

San Francisco is no stranger to the Super Bowl. Their beloved 49ers have

Orleans. There was every reason to believe they could be and would be

their ups and downs. It is highly unlikely they will be playing in

Super Bowl 50. They will have to pretty much run out with a bunch of

wins to get there. After a series of poor performances and talk of a

looker room revolt, Kaepernick was benched to make way for Blane G a,

bbit. The new under pressure coach puts his faith in Gabbit delivering

on home turf against the for midable Atlanta Falcons.

After a couple of runs, he is on the move. He completes to Clinton.

Paton, waiting for a block. Inside the 40 of the team. He is a great

athlete and getting out of the pocket and having the patience. This

is what we are going to try to see from him to deliver the ball. What a

great play in his offence early. Wide open and a touchdown. San

Francisco breaks through on the Blane toss. The two teams would

exchange field games to make it 10 f 6 to the fort north. -- 10 f 6 to

the 49ers. San Francisco got the ball back late in the fourth

quarter. Touchdown. Garret Selek. Just another good delivery by Blane

for a touchdown on the day. When he told us he wasn't just sitting

around, he was studying and practising for the next chance to

start, Wayne wasn't kid Ryan underneath. Freeman could go to the

end zone. He is in. It is a touchdown Freeman for the Falcons.

This offence absolutely thrives in pressure situations. After a

scoreless third quarter, we begin the fourth. San Francisco with a

17.13 lead. Gabbert has been the steady hand. He hit hard. Here comes

a flag. Phillip Wheeler knocked him down. You said early how he takes a

hit will be important. He took one on the chin right there. Contact to

the head of the quarterback. 15-yard penalty and automatic first down.

Looks like the certified trainer is going to make the call to the

official because that is from upstairs. Gabbert and the 49ers had

no intention of bringing Blane out of this game. That means the back-up

and the only active quarterback for San Francisco other than Gabbert is

coming into the game. Down the middle of the field and

completes. Vance McDonald got his hand on it but couldn't make the

catch. A problem all day for 49ers receivers. Gabbert given clearance.

The medical staff got the answers that I needed through the certified

trainer. It is safety first in the NFL. It is intercepted. A little bit

behind Vance McDonald and Vick Goesly the defensive lineman and No.

1 draft pick dropped back in coverage and picked it off. No runs,

eight passes, this drive. It is third in goal. Julio Jones top of

your screen. Matt Ryan, can he get it to the end zone? Catch made but

no end zone. It is fourth down. Jimmy Ward right there, great

tackle. A little underneath type of route trying to pick the defender,

but he played over the top of it and was able to get him down. If you are

Dan Client what do you do? The three points and go for the opportunity?

They are. They are bringing Mattbury yant onto the field here. Get the

three points and hope your default holds and you have an opportunity to

bring it down and win it with the field goal. A 19-yard try. Good work

handling the snap. I don't know if I agree with this. They don't. It is.

Blane Gabbert - can he get the first down? Yes. He stays inbound. Game,

set and match. 49ers can sit on the ball and

year. A A win for the 49ers. Every week we will be asking well-known

faces to tell us what is good about American football and why they are a

fan. This week LL Cool Jay tells us why he follows the New York Giants.

Why am I a New York Giants fan? First of all, I represent New York

to the fullest always. Secondly, I just remember early in my music

career like around '86 Lawrence Taylor being the most dome nant man

on the field and crushing everything in his path. This guy was like, you

know, he was a wrecking ball, a wrecking machine. He was

unbelievable. He really solidified, you know, me being a New York

travelled to Tampa Bay, which started as a field goal fest before

Rueben Randle cut loose with touchdowns and Kevin Wade scored in

a bizarre 5-yard fumble return. At the end of the game, 32-18 Giants.

Wide receiver Des Brint looked to snap the Dallas Cowboys losing

streak at home to fill deal foe ya Eagles when he brilliantly pulled in

this touchdown but it took a flukey effort from Dan Bailey to send the

game into Joe-time. Jordan Matthews snared this 41-yard pass from Sam

Bradford to record a win. The Minnesota Vikings drew with the

Green Bay Packers. When running back Peterson and Bridgewater both scored

on 6-yard runs but it took a field goal to secure a 21-18 over-time

victory of the St Louis Rams. The win for the Vikings puts them six

and two, the same as the Packers. Are they a threat to the Packers? I

do. I like that team. They run well and have good defence and the

quarterbacks are doing well. A good job from Mike Zimmer? No doubt about

that. Second year as a head coach and he's taken his team to a height

they haven't been in a couple of years, man. He is doing a really

good job. Are you surprised he got into a bit of a war of words after

that game? We can't go over the whole incident, but he accused the

Rams of targeting his quarterback? Are you surprised at that war of

words? I am not surprised because that is the sort of personality he

is but the quarterback got hit in the mouth. That is what happens. If

he gets hit, he gets hit. The Vikings go to the Raiders next week.

Is that a good test to see where both sides are? I think so because

of the way the game will be set up. The Minnesota Vikings are going to

control the clock and run the ball and play good defence and protect

their quarterback and go after David Carr. These are both very, very good

football teams. An outstanding game. They will definitely try to protect

their quarterback. Definitely. Oakland Raiders and the putberg

Steelers. Eddie Butler takes up the story. Both Oakland and putberg

entered Week 9 chasing Denver and Cincinnati. The Raiders on the arms

of quarterback Derek Carr were on a two-game win streak. The Steelers

lost their premiere running back Bell to injury last week although

the quarterback dud return after missing four games. This was a match

that both were capable of winning and neither could afford to lose.

It is Carr. Michael crab tree gone upstairs for the touchdown.

Crabtree, tremendous body criminal to put the Raiders in front. They

have been so good starting games in the last two weeks. Give it to

Williams. Williams has got the running loin and he's got the

touchdown for Pittsberg. De-Anglo Williams takes it in. Cooper has

more touches, #y5rds and touchdowns than all of the other first-round

receivers combined. He is on pace for 921 yards this season.

Wide open. A Murray Cooper touchdown. Raiders. Carr lofts it to

Cooper. A touch Dunne defensively for Pittsberg. Over the shoulder of

Antonio Brown. He drops it in the pocket. He took a shot from Smith.

Fourth and less than a yard. Motion man is Brown. Hand off. De-Anglo

Williams runs it into the touchdown. No. 2 for Williams and the Steelers

go back in front. Really a great call by Todd Hayley. Giving the look

of the pass play, running the draw and Williams, as a second touchdown

of the day. Roberts. He is brought down shy of

the goal line. 36 yards and Carr looking so comfortable and under

control in how he delivers the football. Second goal. To the end

zone. Touchdown. He's got the rookie Walford gets the Raiders within one

with 702 to play in the third and Carr has got his third touchdown of

the day. We will call it second and eight for Pittsberg under a minute

to play in the third. To the outside. De-Anglo Williams.

Down the sideline and forced out of bounds. It has been the fountain of

veteran DeAngelo Williams, 32 years old.

video-game-like manoeuvre. Which did you like, the first or the second or

the third? He hesitated just a little bit after he caught the ball

to allow the blocking with Heath Miller out in front. Actually, that

is James with a super job of taking out the interference and a hurdle

and then the sprint to the end zone. He is a touchdown maker. We've got

12, 13 to play in the fourth. Bosswell kicking it off to Tyrone

Jones. Jones loses the football. He bounces around. The Steelers getting

down the field. They come away with it. A killer turnover for the

Raiders but a great play by Nicks as he loses his left hand to punch that

bull out. The Steelers trying to add to their lead. Touchdown! Jesse

James! Back in the end zone. First NFL touchdown for the rookie from

Pen State. First catch in his NFL career as well. This game has taken

a turn in the fourth quarter. Pittsberg has put up 14 points. They

lead at 35 to 21. Carr, hand off. Oh, look! Will he go all the way!

The back-up full-back just caught the Steelers napping. Touchdown

Raiders. A pivotal play here. Roethlisberger is in trouble. He is

dumped. That hurt him. He twisted his ankle it looked like, too. Look

at that left foot being pinned underneath. It is not the knee here.

It is rather the foot. Oakland has one time-out left from the 38. Carr

lost it in the air. It is caught by Crabtree. Touchdown Raiders! You

can't three it any better than Carr just did. 38 yards. Oakland an extra

point away from tying this one up in Pittsberg. Jones is in for the

injured Roethlisberger. Jones throws it. It is caught by Brun. Antonio

Brown, it is a foot race and he is out of bounds. Antonio Brown with a

dominant performance here in Pittsberg. 284 receiving yards and

he has put the Steelers in field goal range. Remember bosswell has

missed today a short field goal. Four seconds left. 19-yard attempt.

that he has on the parametre, Antonio Browns, de-Anglo Williams is

not really a drop-off from Levion Bell. He is not Bell but, man,

Deangelo is locking well. They are going the ask him to hand the ball

off to Williams. Ike, you were the shut-down corner for a number of

years. Who will stand up and take that roll for the Pittsberg

Steelers? I don't know if they will have a shut-down corner. I think the

coach likes what he has right now. I think coach thinks he doesn't have

the personnel to have a shut down corner and honestly that defence

hasn't been playing bad at all without having a shut-down corner.

The coach provides himself on having turnovers and that is what his

quarterbacks are getting, turnovers. I don't think right new they will

have any. Ike, that is brilliant. Thank you very much for joining us.

Landary Jones. He's played three times. Twice he came off the bench

in one. When he had his only start he lost. He has given a quote

saying, "It is almost better off the bench, you don't have time to think

about it." Does this make sense to both of you? Absolutely. It is

better for him because they don't have a lot of film on him. They will

have to go back to college film to see what he can't do. It My mind is

boggled by the 284 receiving yards by Antonio Brown. At what point did

they realise he had his full English breakfast? How do you let a man have

that sort of yards receiving against you? I don't understand. Any

positive for the Raiders from that? Absolutely. They played well. This

is a young football team. They played a lot of heart and grit. They

were down 14 points in the fourth quarter and came all the way back

and played pretty good in this football game. Top five catches of

the week. Can he hold on? Yes, and he stayed

inbounds. First down for the Raiders. It is

Carr. Michael Crabtree going upstairs for the touchdown!

Here they come. He is caught under the fetch, Delanie Walker. A

touchdown! And Castle is able to escape. Has to

come back this way. Flings one towards the end zone. It is a jump

ball and it is almost caught - it is caught! Wow!

play-offs started today the American conference would be represented by

New England Patriots from the east and Cincinnati from the north,

Indianapolis Colts from the south and Denver from the west. The two

teams with the next best records would be the New York Jets and the

Pittsberg Steelers. They would be our wild cards but Buffalo and

Oakland would be breathing down their necks. Over in the NFC the New

York Giants Giants, Green Bay and Carolina and Arizona would be

division winnings with Vikings and Falcons as the wildcards. A host of

teams also having an interest. Even at the halfway stage you would
