Day 6 Bowls World Indoor Championships

It is semi-final day at Potters and there are four aces left in the

Scottish pack. 1996 Champion David Gourlay has rolled back the years

this week and would reflux in his quarter-final, blowing away

Champion John Price. He will take on 2010 finalist Stewart Anderson,

the 27-year-old squeezed out Nick Brett in a tie-break to book his

place in the last four. Colin Walker will also reached the

penultimate day for the first time in his career, he try and do the

2011 Scottish Open Champion Robert Paxton to a secure his place and

will face a monumental task to reach the final as he takes on Paul

Foster, looking for his 5th world title. He's been rolled Mervyn King

on quarter final day -- he steam world. We are at the semi-final

stages and we are now wondering who will come up trumps.

of the best players so far, it is going to be really tough. A try and

get a life first bowl close and put it under pressure. I will need to

be on top form, whoever it gets in first will dominate. Stewart's weed

control is immaculate and I need to play really well to beat Stewart --

weight control. You never know, you never know.

27-year-old each Stewart Anderson is the youngest player left in the

tournament, against 1996 Champion David Gourlay, and four-time

Champion Paul Foster against Colin Walker. All four meant our Scottish,

that last happened in 1991 when David Gourlay and Paul Foster got

through. Standing by now to introduce the players is Richard.

Leisure Resort -- we always. But the finals weekend, the quarter-

final day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday is always extremely busy, a

sell-out. A lot of people are going to past the green it with a

danger is if he gets the jack on to that bowl position, he will be in

environment. Incredibly intimidating. But at the same time,

if you are playing well, it is the perfect place to do it. It is

entertainment, it is theatre in many ways. And both these players

Zealand, he has not managed to get a flight home yet -- in the

background. I do not think he is trying too hard! He has been

enjoying this. Every time I ask him when he is getting a flight, he

says, I will be all right, I will get there some kind! -- sometimes.

was outstanding. They are like Brazil in football. The Dundee

Masters was a great event. It does not really get the coverage it

should do in Scotland because of other things. When they look back

in history, the world champions, the Commonwealth champions, it is

on a real high. Scotland's record over the last 35-40 years, really

outstanding. Not adjust in team events, but individual competitions.

very neat and compact, as always. We know him from internationals,

but he has been very impressive. That is a great start, again.

It is not the worst place it could be, anything between the jack and

the green bowls would be good for Fozzy. I do not think he will be

happy with that. I do don't think he was trying that, there is a

playable at this distance. He has got it! That is why Paul Foster was

very unhappy with his previous delivery, he opened up the
