We started off with a 32 of the best players in the world, now we

are just down to two, both Scotland, both good friends, Stewart and --

Stewart Anderson against Paul # Come on baby. Let the good times

If both of these players face a tricky quarter-finals, Paul Foster

probably win the World Championship but we did not know when. But he

has done it against the best player in the world. He is 27 and he is

the future games. He has a fantastic career behind him already

and it is startling. But he is a calm and thoughtful player and

interesting to see how he would go today, but he held his nerve.

have been in that position with this match and he knows it.

Greg would probably think three times out of 10 to get that and I

will be doing well! What were you thinking?

I thought, I have this awkward shot on the forehand. Perhaps get this

three out of 10 and I was spot on and into the tie-break, happy days!

The you have had a go with somebody who is a good crown green bowler,

have you had a go? I have had a go -- I have had a go before and it

was difficult, but I would like to try again. He will go well if he

keeps behind the outside. Sometimes, it is 50 or 60 yards away and you

cannot see it. I labelled G the master predictor

in the programme and you thought Paul Foster's experience at might

even win out in the end -- I labelled you. He came up short

against a very in form at Stewart Anderson. You cannot always get

predictions right. As the game started, it looked more like

Stewart would get over the line. But Paul Foster just kept on

fighting and I thought I had a chance with my prediction. But the

best man on the day did win. View of the world number one and you

have seen Stewart Anderson, a young player, coming through -- you of

the world number one. Is the game stronger this year than it has been

in the last decade? I think it is, in previous years in some of the

first round matches, a lot of the tie-breaks have been one-sided.

People like Colin Walker who I played have got better. The first

round are tougher so the standard the way through his hire. Next year,

we do not want to in the commentary box but to be playing. -- want you.

Be we will look back on what was a superb final this afternoon between

Stewart Anderson and Paul Foster. Paul Foster struggled earlier --

early on against a player who got that you do not let him settle, you

unsettle him early because when he gets into a situation of draw, draw,

draw, you know you will be in trouble. Even for the best like

Paul Foster, he played too many hard shots in terms of what he

would have liked. You do not want to play those.

He was stretching all the time to stay in the match.

I think he realised in the second set Stewart was pulling away and he

was a bit more consistent. And when you are a bit more consistent, that

is all it takes between two great players.

We would like to think that the best man did when on the day, is

there anything in Paul Foster saying he did not play at his best?

You play as well as the opposition allows you to play. Paul Foster was

not perhaps on it the entire game but that was a lack of consistency

against Sri what he was on the first bowl quite a lot.

And this -- against Stewart. You have your hands on the trophy,

no more tears, what are you thinking?

I cannot believe it, and just really proud and I cannot wait

until next year. What did you say it to your Dad?

There was no chat, just tears! New talked about playing against

somebody like Paul Foster -- you talked about. Was this probably one

of the best matches you have played? Paul is always the main

person to beat and he was a fantastic opponent, one of the best

and will come up against. I knew I would have to put him under

pressure. Stewart is not the only first time World Champion this

tournament, we had Rebecca Field who won the Ladies' Championship

for the first time. Tell us about the form she put out to win.

It was his superb performance, she is 23, a young player -- it was a

superb. There are a lot of younger players who did not get to play at

the highest level at that age and she played exceptionally well, she

did. And Paul Foster won the two titles, the men's pairs and the

mixed pairs, is it consolation? is not, if he had won all three

titles, it probably would never be repeated again. He will win a 5th

title, I believe that, but I am not sure if he will win the other two

with it. This is the one that matters.

Do you feel certain players dominate and you can dominate the

sport? If I can keep my good form, probably I have a chance. Every
