lamentable 11% now, 1 out of nine. Harbour, anything over 40% is pretty

good. 50% is very good. You can feel Martin surfing. He has to win this

leg, you sense, if he can't find a way of getting home here, it really

will be a huge task to come back from three down. He won't give in

though, I'll tell you that much, Martin. He is the reigning

I suppose, I should have known that was coming.

last! An ironic cheer from the Lakeside crowd. And big smiles from

Phillips. First time he's held his throw in the entire match.

Harbour still got a good checkout rate. Didn't even have a dart to

finish the second set. Look at this now. 180. Could be a late night. Out

comes Dennis the menace. Will he go for it, or go for the any? He is

having a look. He is going for it. Very hard luck.

A lot of players would have gone for the treble shot. Rather than trying

to squeeze is into the bed for the maximum. There again. So consistent.

rehydrate. Harbour is so slow and deliberate,

is it just my perception, or is he slower now that Phillips has started

to find his form a little? Nothing is happening.

Harbour is the winner. To be quite honest, I've enjoyed this. It's

really been a good match. Not for Phillips so much, but he handled it

well. Contrasting styles make for its own peculiar fascination.

He's really wide-shafted darts, daunt he? You don't often see

players with that sort of width. Sort of harks back to previous era,

doesn't at the? A sort of John Lowe kind of darts. But he has stubby

hands though, if you look. From the fingers, if you look at it. He

doesn't hold them very gently. His fifth maximum. Up we go, it's

the show. On the throw, he now needs double 14

to square off the set. Surely he is not going to foul this 1 up. Good

sportingly, applauding his opponent but Dennis Harbour, the 54-year-old

grand yad from Cambridge sthir -- grand dad from Cambridgeshire is

through. Jamie Hughes was not too happy with his form, but he emerged

unscathed. But so to hid dis opponent, Madars Razma. With the

Both those players throw the dart a little quicker than we saw in the

last match from Dennis Harbour. So hopefully, we should have a nice

pace about this. In Madars Razma got to the first round proper, won one

match and lost 1. But he started in round one proper last year. But he

reached this stage, the last 16. He lost 4'' 320 Brian Dawson. He made

quite a lot of friends along the way. He feels like a regular

fixture, the lav viian, already. Just his -- the last Vivian,

already. Just his third Lakeside. Not a particularly good start from

Jamie Hughes. This is better from Razma though.

This is his second Lakeside. Again, he was seeded last year, and lost at

this stage to Glen Durrant. So whoever wins this match will be in

uncharted waters. This is better from Jamie.

So bull for 15s and tops. There we see, the day the bull is in there.

A couple of eights for Madars Razma to strike first. Yes, beware the

Latvian when it comes to the finishing. Didn't play particularly

well, didn't score particularly heavily against Reed Robinson in his

first round match, Madars. He averaged just south of 80, but won

it with a 150, and hit 67% of his doubles. He didn't have to produce

his best in that 1. He did enough. Jamie destroyed an out of sorts Ross

Montgomery. A shake of the head as he strays into the one. He is

looking calm and cool. I saw him outside the hotel. A lot of his

mates were out having a chat and a beer, he was sitting outside on his

own, for ten-15 minutes, just taking stock of thngs. He is enjoying

himself tonight. So far so good for the Latvians. HITE

Not this time. No pressure on the throw though. Looking to

So, two darts at tops for a two-leg lead. First set for Madars Razma.

Double 10 or Jamie is coming back. And he is.

Well, you can't give this man this many chances. You would expect him

to take this out, the way he's been finishing.

I melsed Razma's finishing, in his first round win over Reed Robinson,

he hit 67% of his doubles. 10 out of 16. He missed three already tonight,

but hasn't been punished. Jamie's overallage is a lot better

than his average for this first nine darts.

7 there are Latvians aplenty at Lakeside. That is masaries's

girlfriend. We had 1 on camera too. And who knows how many others.

Maybe Latvia is the new darting Holland. In it's a little bit scary.

So, 64 for Razma. It would leave 1 dart at double 16. Unable to do so.

He missed that double 16 three times already. And this is for the first

set already. For Madars Razma. Someone shouted out. They were

trying to encourage him. That's sensible. He composes himself. He

has two darts at tops for the set. Almost talked himself out of that

second one. So a couple of eights. Three darts at it to hold throw.

Jamie Hughes. He can get the fourth seed on the board in the last 16. He

missed his first foisk shots -- 5 shots at a double. Make that a

for Jamie Hughes. You sense the buzz inside in Lakeside tonight. All

matches to half a dozen penguins doing the Macca rena.

the walk-on. Questioned whether the board was straight, and then really

hasn't got going. That's more like it. Yeah, a couple of 140s from

it. Doubles aren't flowing quite as well as they did in his first-round

it wasn't a million miles off. It was adjusted. Hasn't really helped

matters. Trina Gulliver, she has won nine

world titles, would dearly love to make it 10. Just missed the treble

17, straight into the treble two. Better darts than Jamie, but he may

not get back. 85 for Razma. 1 dart at bull's-eye. So nine double 16. He

hit them late in the last leg... And he's missed it there. Oh, dear. One

off nine in doubles. 17 leaves double four. Leading by a set to

nil. Double two. Miles off. What has happened? To the Madars Razma that

could barely miss a double in the last round?

Another miss. And Jamie Hughes, last dart. Had a chance. No. One from 12

on the double. They are both struggling badly here.

22nd dart of the leg. And another break of throw.

Jamie Hughes has not held yet. Oh, yeah! That will get them going at

Lakeside. That's exactly what had match needed.

Thought about going in the treble 20, that first dart. And just chose

to drop south of the wire. Unlucky. Only had to adjust and come down,

because he would have knocked the first dart out. So precarous was the

lie. This is more like it, Jamie. They are both getting a little off

put by ill-timed shouts from the crowd.

So two treble 20s, double 10 to hold this throw.

So the same shot for Jamie Hughes. Well, he's strayed into in treble 5.

Look a anguish, big 7. What are you doing, he says to himself. How about

the third? Jamie Hughes would dearly like to

make him pay for that. Treble 20 leaves single for a dart at tops.

second set. Two 10s for Madars Razma. No mistake.

So I mentioned 16 minutes or so ago, that Jamie Hughes wassages in the

60s, he turned that around, rather. -- was averages in the 60s. He

turned that around, rather. Always happens when you say something like

that. Almost always. Razma, the Scottish classic champion, the man

from Latvia. Well, he's not managed it yet, Jamie

Hughes, but he must hold his throw here, we he's two sets down.

Madars Razma just crouched down onto his haunches. Don't know why he did

that. Yes, not in first time he's done that. Maybe just composing

himself. Just what Jamie needs to do here,

because - oh, yes, he needed that, the final dart. There is Madars. Had

a little crouch down and a spring up. OK then, Madars, over to you.

up. Yep, he's given himself a chance if Madars slips up. But that's a

Jamie Hughes. This to pull level at one apiece. It will feel like a

lead. One dart at double six for the set.

What an important moment in the match. It looked as though Jamie

Hughes was suffering the darting blues, but he hulled pud it out, and

we go to the break level at 1 apiece.

Tony O'Shea, I know, thinks that Jamie Hughes is throwing a little

slower than normal. And Madars Razma, before the match, told me he

was looking forward to playing Jamie because he throws quickly. If Madars

was telling everyone that, and Jamie got to hear that, and said, I know,

I'll slow down a bit, and it will affect Madars's rhythm. It kind of

worked as well. Also, during the break, as Jamie was

hammering the practice board with a disdain, looking like a kid who was

told he was grounded for a month, while it was going on, we had three

or four officials on stage checking the board was OK and level. Jaily

having question it's right at the start of the match. It seemed to be

OK. 20 and tops then. To hold his throw

at the start of the third set. My goodness me, who is favourite for

this match from here? Bull to start. Oh, absolutely

perfect. Treble 15 for double top, for a 135. Can you, Madars? No.

State bit of the board for Jamie Hughes. The top bit.

45 for double 10. He finds a way to win the leg again. , first leg of

the match as well. Hello, sailor! Look at those averages. Jamie Hughes

started so quietly. He couldn't find the trebles. Madars Razma, well,

much of a muchness. Yeah, much better from Jamie, second set. We

just had word from the BDO, the organisers, that yes, the board was

level, is level, continues to be level... It's all fine.

Unless many more people start doing the konga, then the dozen or so

during the last break, then we'll be fine. Madars is waiting on 121 to

hold throw for one apiece. One set apiece. So treble 20, treble 11,

14s, still needs a shot here. It would have left a bull's-eye. Look

how far back Jamie Hughes is. E How much can he eat into this? Two

18s to level the set and level the match.

Oh, his finishing is completely gone. Well, they have both thrown 21

So coming into the match, we were all talking about how Madars Razma

couldn't be given too much darts at a double, because he just doesn't

miss. 10 from 16, 67%, look at him today. 5 from 2008 and he missed 10

-- 28 and he missed 10 chances. He missed the last 12 at a double,

Razma. Good last dart. Solid vision from Jamie Hughes. Madars strays

into the treble 5 twice. He is playing Jamie Hughes into a bit of

form. Yep, and the pace has picked up from him as well. And it's

working for him. Hello. It happened so often in this

wonderful game of darts, 1 maximum responded to snappily. He's not

going to go for another. Not from 215. Two more perfect darts. Nine in

a row! This could quieten things straightaway though. Double nine for

the set. Not this time, Jamie. So for a break of throw, will he go

six, yes, he will, six double 16. That must feel good after 12 misses

accidently and now can't finish. Three really good visits from Jamie

waits. It's going to have to be 16, double

16 now. 1 dart at it for the set for Jamie Hughes. The eyes close and the

chance goes. I thought he was better when he was quick. Two 16s for

Razma. Yes. The set is level. The match is level. Another big moment

coming up. Who is going to win this leg, who is going to win this set?

Jamie has the darts. And you're right, he picked up the pace,

started to nail the trebles and the doubles, and then got a bit serious,

started to pause, and he left the door open and Razma said, "Thanks

held throw twice, in six attempts. It's three from six for Madars. None

of that matters really. It's just whoever wins this leg. They move

ahead in sets. Yeah, the break definitely benefitted Jamie Hughes.

He went in 1 apiece, but in all truth, could have been two-nil down,

through a succession of very angry darts in the practice area, in the

bar, and we're seeing much better play now. 243 plus these. Hasn't

left a finish. Razma was miles away. For Jamie, he'll be first to a

finish. He's had one dart for the set. Go for the bull here. Treble 10

though. Very nice darts. Terrific three darts. He has all the time in

the world at 36. It leaves 170, will he get a shot? And Jamie Hughes

leads 2 sets to one. The darts starting to ooze from the arm of

Hughes. All around, they enjoy the odd bit

Now that 1 definitely is not natural hair. More so than that one, I would

frankly, he had his chance. It is it is 3-1 to the fourth seed.

He is one more set away from the place in a quarterfinals.

acknowledging each other's successes. And trading blows!

Now, this was at the end of that fourth set. A lot of respect there.

darts on his hand and 40 left on the score sheet. The way he was

finishing against Reed Robinson, you would have put the mortgage on him.

two 18s for Jamie Hughes. And the forth seed starting to flex his

Lakeside muscles. Second leg in a row we've begun

perfectly. Oh, unlucky. Well, he knows quite

rightly, it's pretty much now or never, Madars Razma. 3-1 down, first

to 4, having taken the opener... Could perhaps, should have been

2-nil up. Let's have a look at the finishing, set by set. That was set

4. Big improvement from Jamie Hughes, Madars continues to

struggle. But if you want real struggles,

Madars Razma in set three was two from 15, including 12 misses in a

row. He's got a healthy advantage here

though. Jamie not doing much to change that with these athlete

darts. So, 82. He went bull. So 17 would leave tops now. It's not

happening for him, is it? 1 out of terrific on tops for the Latvian. He

will have three more goes. Oh, just not happening, is it? So

easy in the last round, so, so difficult in this round, and you

know what - those double beds have not got smaller. Jamie can steal

this now. Great start. Treble 19 for double 12, for a break of throw.

Great effort! I thought he would get that. So he's going straight for the

double 5. And finally! Eight misses in a row before that

double 5. And only 40 from Jamie Hughes

throwing first. He just needs to hold his throw twice and he's

through to the quarterfinal. But he won't do that with many more visits

like that 40. Slow down going, hasn't he? Neither of these two have

tasted a Lakeside quarterfinal. We are about halfway through, and we

have had 18850 darts thrown at Lakeside this year. That's quite a

tally chart that you've kept. I do very little else, and I don't get

out much. Hasn't been a vintage leg from

either. Hughes, crucially, has the darts. He may stay 18s. So, he's

straight into the 4, and then into the one.

He made his debut last year, Jamie Hughes. Lost to Glen Durrant in the

second round, nearly got here twice before, leeched the final qualifying

round in 2012, in Hull, but controversially, I think, timed out

before his match against Andy Bolton, and he reached the final

qualifying round against in Hull, in 2013, but lost to Dave. None of that

will be going through his mind right now, as he lines up a 5. Bull's-eye

was the start. 20 for another crack at bull's-eye. Unlucky. Just flicked

the wire. So 164 for Madars Razma. It won't be happening. Is he poised

to go two-1 down and within a leg of defeat. You know how it goes, 988.

Won't want to give Razma a chance at Shanghai. But has done. Big moment,

this, big opportunity to break the throw, needs a treble. Doesn't get

it. Does now. So four for a 2-1 lead and to move within one leg of a

place in the quarterfinals. And that voice you can hear above

all others at Lakeside, that of Jamie's wife Jane.

What a chance here for Jamie Hughes. This awful first visit from Razma,

needing to hold to stay in this year's championship and only 22.

That's not a great deal better, is it? More than twice as good.

LAUGHS Needs to find the treble. It's

deserting himself at the moment. We are not seeing any razzmatazz from

Madars Razma. Big visit here. Can really do some damage.

I tell you what, he meant those last two, didn't he? Put his shoulder

into those, like a forward if a rug di tackle. Pity the dart board here.

A couple of times he's done this. Oh, he starts with a bull. So treble

extend the match. It's the for Hughes, unless Razma can take this

is! The fourth seed will taste a Lakeside quarterfinal for the very

first time. A slow old start from Jamie Hughes, but in the end, Hughes

will cruise into the last eight. , Barnsley's Brian Dawson was

brilliant in this first round match, leaving up to this nickname,

producing dogged determination to come back from two sets down. That

was a classic, this next 1 has the makings a classic encounter too. He

is up against Jeff Smith, who silenced Martin Adams to such an

extent that people have installed him as the tournament favourite.

Being looking forward to this 1. Dawson's man with Walton last night,

probably my favourite match of the tournament. What a performance it

was for Jeff Smith though, beating wolfy. He came with a lot of

confidence. Martin Adams couldn't put him away, when Smith got his

chances, he took them. He is a cool customer. Now he's wounded wolfy,

can he down doggy Dawson? He'll have his lucky shirt on, will Brian.

Complete, no, hang on, I think he changed colour. Not in the same

shirt. The 1 he was wearing last night, had a few holes in it, caused

by a bit of overenthusiastic ironing. Can't be that superstition

if he is not wearing his lucky shirt. The old hot steam iron on

polyvester is never a good idea. Maybe slight sli more high-tech

fabric than that, I suppose. He is on a finish, Smith isn't. Good first

dart, though, from Jeff, with Dawson waiting on 160. Can he conjure one?

Smith will have the chance to hold? Let's see what his finishing is like

tonight? A poor visit from Dawson, 87 needed. And there's your answer.

What a way to start? What a way to take out the first leg! Cool as you

like, as a cucumber. He's the kind of guy, Jeff Smith,

that you can't imagine panicking about anything. Jeff Smith's

tournament checkout rate, close to 50% and Dawson's even better. What a

great fightback from Brian. Really was a fine performance,

Smith came through a preliminary match, had a victory over Matthew

Medhurst, to start and then beat Martin Adams. This is his third

match of the tournament. He played the extra match, of

course, explains why he had so many more attempts at doubles than

Dawson. Winner of this 1 plays Dennis

Harbour. Dennis Harbour is a man who sprays cars for a living. They'll be

able to have a chat away, is Jeff Smith wins. That's his business as

well. A finish here for Jeff. Treble 19 leaves a bull's-eye. Dawson well

back, it can be done, but not now. He was slow to get into his stride

last night. When he did, didn't he hit some darts. It was Awesome

Dawson last night. Two sets down he was, came back to win it. He got the

darts now to take the opening set. Two out of three on the dulls, he'll

take that every time. -- on the doubles, he'll take that every time.

Settle Dawson down a tad. His first score of over 140. Come on, he says

to himself. Get an impression there's a lot of

respect for Dawson, around his fellow professionals. He was a good

player for a long time, before he finally started to deliver on the

big stage. 47 years old now. Seeded at 15.

He won't want to, obviously, fall too far adrift, the knowledge of

what he was able to do against Walton will stand him in good stead,

in case it does happen again. Smith on 143, if he can make it a good

visit, heath put a lot off of pressure on the throw. Fabulous

darts from Dawson. Can Smith take So Dawson has the chance to break

the throw here, and a great chance. Needs to take this out. Sixes now.

Threes, a tough 1. And he wasn't particularly close, so Jeff Smith

can close out the opening set with treble 16, now, 16 for double six.

Tony Green was telling me, he fancies this fella, Jeff Smith, to

go all the way. We'll only had the 1 Canadian world champion. But this

guy, commit commit commit, he looks the real deal. I love his cucumber

cool composure on the big stage. He did fall apart against Scott

Mitchell. I wonder whether he learnt from that. Scott pursued a very

clear tactic of slowing him down, really slowing him down. And I think

he got to him. He played mind games with him and won the battle. 104 for

Dawson. So Shanghai for Smith to break the

Dawson throw again. Brilliant first dart. Perfect second. And brilliant

third! Another clinical piece of finishing.

He is used to playing his darts on the other side of the Atlantic,

where matches are played in a shorter format, that puts a premium

on finishing. He has an 80% checkout rate.

Wouldn't expect him to maintain that sort of rate, but overall, he's got

a 50% average. There is Bill. He was in good form,

Bill, last night in. He was, wasn't he? A bit of a twnk twinkle in his

eye, when he was being interviewed. An ever present with Brian, never

misses his matches. So 120 for a 2-nil need. 140, rather.

Uncharacteristically erratic. But unlikely to be terminal in this leg,

unless, well, a 96 for Jeff Smith. Wrong bed. And this is for 14. Well,

then, Doggie, can you take his one out? Struggling a bit, isn't he?

It's similar to last night, he took a long time to settle against John

Walton. And he looked for all the match he was going to win it.

He is slowing as well, Jeff Smith. He doesn't look like he is going to

miss, he doesn't expect to miss. He says he is more nervous doing

interviews than he is playing darts. He'll get the hang of that, if he

keeps putting in decent performances on the world stage. There will be a

lot of media interest in him. He does like to keep to himself much he

does like to take himself to bed at the end of the night. He does like

the tuck himself into a corner. Yeah, it's fascinating, it's a great

privilege to walk around this venue and go into the players' practice

area and bar and see the deliverses in prescription. Those chatting to

their mates, having a laugh, and those having a quiet moment in the

back. Setting up another finish against the throw. He can take the

second set with his next visit here. Smith, requiring 130, and Dawson is

not pressurising him. And he's not looked like winning a leg,

It's going to have another chance, because Dawson is on no-finish. A

Two sets to nil he leads, and at the moment, Doggie Dawson's bark is

worse than his bite. I get the feeling here, George, that Brian

Dawson has to get into the set, or he is in danger of being blown away.

If Smith continues to throw in the manner he has, it's could be a quick

night. This was the point that Dawson woke up against John Walton.

And the 15th seed needs a big start to set number three. Smith with the

darts and two sets to the good. Just the statistics from the two sets.

And you see, Smith, really scoring heavily in that second set. A bridge

of 98, very good. And his checkouts were outstanding. Six out of 10

spells 60%. And already way clear is the silence

in set number three. With the darts, and with a two-set buffer... He is

playing really well again. He is taking on where he left off against

Martin Adams. His match average, a 92 and a half. Wolfie is here. He

has been in every session, watching the darts. Disappointed to be

knocked out and fall at the first hurdle. Double 18 here. I do believe

he missed 1. There he is. So double nine now. To hold his

throw. Really good double, right in the middle of the bed.

He won't care how it comes, he just needs a leg a dart. Cos at the

moment - that's better - it's all about the Canadian. Not had a 180 in

the match yet. Just slightly subdued crowd, maybe. Well, they want to see

that give him a bit of spark? As we said, at this point, he really

started to get into his stride last night. Can he do the same again? He

has got the real hunger, the scrapper's reallitation. He never

knows when he's beaten. He keeps battling right to the end.

We are not playing match play, are we? So there's the chance...

Larry Butler, he got on the wrong end of Glen Durrant earlier on and

Durrant really gave him a thumping, didn't he, with perhaps the

performance of the round so far. Yeah, the Butler didn't do it, he

got absolutely battered today. Smith is handily placed on 66 to

hold his throw. There is John Walton. A nice cardy as well, from

John. A big rugby league fan. He follows Bradford. Onwards he goes.

Is that right? He's a Bradford Bulls fan? Yes, he is. I've just gone off

him a bit. He was originally a Bradford man before he moved to

Sheffield. There's a Bradford Bulls mug in the kitchen. And that

Walton's Somebody made me a cup of tea in it, and I wasn't amused,

being a Leeds boy. Then again, I could make my own cup of tea,

couldn't I? Took the words out of my mouth! Meanwhile... Dawson with the

darts and a tonne or so lead. Smith has this.

Big crowd here tonight. No spare seat. A great atmosphere here,

absolutely love coming to the Lakeside. Knowledgeable, fun, plenty

of liquid refreshment. I do believe that's the boss of BT watching on

there. In which case, you are most welcome. Always been a big fan of

your work. 96 from Dawson. Simon Green, there he is. The man in

charge of BTsport. Double 16, meanwhile. For Doggie Dawson. No! So

Double 18. Clinical! Clinical! And it's now three sets to nil. Dawson

doesn't know what's hit him tonight. He is averaging close to 93. 60%

checkout rate, and he's getting his opportunities and he's taking them.

Needs a few more of those. That's a wonky old dart. He has to come for

19s. Not happening for him. Does he still have the belief?

Is come on, he says to himself. Smith not capitalising there. And

this is more like it! The first of the night for Dawson, the first of

the match. That's got the crowd going.

They want to see this go the distance. As much as they love Jeff

Smith... They want to see Brian do that a few more times. No finish.

But Smith well back, doing the treble. He found one. Very last dart

for Brian Dawson. Got a very healthy cushion here.

Suddenly, Jeff Smith can't find the treble. So 91 for Dawson.

So Dawson can go ahead in this fourth set, only with the throw. A

couple of 10s. 5s... Result. Two off 10 for Dawson. Smith up at

60%. And the average north of 90 as well. Dawson is starting to come

alive a little bit here. Is the doggy tail starting to wag? He is

saying ohimself, come on, come on. Good stuff. Concentration on his

face... No quitting in Brian Dawson. And

he's got a chance of going two-nil up here. He looks like he fancies

the draw as these two, in theory. They could be facing him in the

semifinal. Scott has got a tricky match coming up tomorrow, against

Mark McGeeney. Wesley Harms had a victory earlier

on against Jim Williams. Got through by 4 sets to three. He is going to

be facing Jamie Hughes. There he is, Wesley, in the middle of the

knowledge, John. I don't know everyone in the audience. Dawson

placed. Working in 20s for an opportunity to draw level in the

There it is! Jeff Smith, the cool guy from Canada, does it again. And

Brian Dawson is limit eliminated. Jeff Smith is through. The crowd are

starting to warm to him. He moves into the quarterfinals. Winning this

by 4 sets to one. Now to a rematch of the world Masters final from last

autumn. Larry Butler finished runner-up to Glen Durrant, but he

fancied his chances, back on the big stage for the first time in 24

years. But Glen Durrant has not put a foot wrong since being knocked out

here against Martin Adams. Could his glorious run continue in earnest?

So, Larry Butler has had just three darts at a double, all at

bull's-eye. His average, and his average for the first nine darts are

almost identical. He is just being swamped.

, take a break at the end of the next set and it can't come soon

enough for Butler. Desperately needs to get into his match, somehow.

Well, he is not being allowed to. You say you play the board, not the

man, but when the man is throwing the sort of darts that Glen Durrant

is currently, it's an awfully difficult thing to do.

is only a finish again, already. I tell you what, John, you wouldn't

be surprised if he took this out. He had five maximums, he needs another

couple of treble 20s, before a bull's-eye. Not this time. 121 is

14, for a 148. Wowee! You watch an awful lot of darts

matches before you saw finishing like this. 89% checkout rate.

Extraordinary. Sensational! Brilliant. From Durrant. Just 1 more

leg to go. Three sets up. That's better. There is Larry Butler's wife

Sharon. She hasn't applauded much. That 140 was much needed.

Has he got it in him to be able to fight back. Has he got the game to

do that? If he keeps on doing this, maybe.

1 thing you can say about Larry, he's got a very good temper. . He

keeps chugging along. Absolutely right.

160. Treble 20s needed. Durrant is well back. So he leaves himself with

a tonne when he comes back. He won't want to lose his set...

Glen Durrant. But the Butler is right back in it if he takes this

out. Great dart. Tops to level up this particular set. Double 10. ,

well, this is for the set. Eight 20s in all required. Needed

two trebles to start it. Double 10 for Butler. Only got 1 double out of

six. This is so important. Well, he talked about what a good finisher he

is, and he's not showing it. Tops for Durrant and a three-set

lead. They are going all right in the

championship, Glen Durrant going very nicely indeed in this match. He

leads by three sets to nil. So first things first for Larry Butler, hold

your throw, in We do sometimes see big turn

around... After little breaks... . We saw 1 last night. Brian Dawson

come fighting back when he was two down, two sets to nil down and

winning it 3-2 against John Walton. Walton, a couple of darts to... And

still, Brian was not fazed. And scraper of a player he is, and

Butler needs to be like Wests Tigers. Speaking of darts to win a

match, this man, Glen Durrant, had three darts to reach the final here,

last year. And even though, they put it out of his mind to the

exalternative that he won six ranking titles and got himself

seeded number one, and unquestionably, I think, has been

the benefit player on the BDO circuit, it must have rampingled.

Somewhere in the back of his mind, those darts must have rankled. You

still have to do it when you get up there. He has to produce. Look at

the BBC and Michael van Gerwen. The year that he had. And when it came

to the world championships, he was found wanting. Yep.

Another three figure finish. Treble 12 for double 16. He hasn't missed

it. Well, he has now. Last year last year oi then though, has to -- Larry

on the though, has to take it out. Treble 16 would leave double 18.

It's not good. Two eights for Duzza. Two missed doubles in a row. Not

seen that So, his nose is ahead and that's a

break of throw. So now it looks as though it would take a near miracle

for Butler to get back into this. He has pleased with that last dart.

With good reason. Averaging over hundred, Glen

Durrant, with his first nine darts. It's pretty nice.

And the finishing is not shabby either from Glen Durrant. Despite

those two mixed doubles in a row, in the last leg, 10 from 15, you'll

take that any day of the week. Got a break the throw and that's got

to hurt. Still not on a finish though.

Durrant will have first pop at Coming down the board. Very happy

indeed. Nicely placed. Well, he miscounted once. Make sure

you don't do it again, Larry. Don't think he was about to do that.

And an unusual wild 1. Butler, double 10.

No, sir. Think she will be folding up the flag before too long.

Ooh. Game, and just as Larry Butler may have sniffed another

opportunity, Glen Durrant extinguishes those hopes with a dart

at double five. 1 more leg for the match. He has only won one,

And now he could put himself under some pressure.

Not lying well, coming down the board. Now for 18.

Well it's not been a tight match, it's not been a close match, not

been an exciting match, but it's been fascinating to watch, because

of what Glen Durrant did, principlely, in those first set two

sets, but is still doing now. A potential 12-darter if he takes

out 124 to win the match. So Durrant, 124 to win it.

To seal one of the most unsided matches you will ever see. Treble 18

leaves the bull's-eye for the match for Glen Durrant. It would be a

fitting way to finish. Only a little there. Great effort. Butler needs 93

to keep the match alive. Treble 19 would leave a double eight from

there. He can't do it now. So Durrant, 25, for 4-nil.

The Middlesborough contingent still screaming their support. Their man

is very close to the 1 dart away, in fact. A double eight

away. And there A truly sparkling performance from

the top seed. He has blown Larry Butler off the oche. Butler only won

one leg. Glen Durrant, the top seed, through to the swiems and how.
