Day 6 Darts: World Championships - Highlights

Hello, everybody. Lakeside this evening, we knew only eight men

could lay claim to the BDO Darts World Championship. The number has

been reduced to six. We start with the man whose shirt hangs behind me,

Martin Adams, three times world champion, going against Tony O'Shea.

The only time the men met here was in 2007, and 'Wolfie' went on to

his world title. I'm confident. I'm doing everything right, as I see it.

The form seems to be getting there at the right time. He is not a

pushover, is he! You know you have a game on your hands when you are

playing Tony. I've said it before, the scoreline last time was - it

didn't reflect the game. That's all. Fantastic game of darts.

He's got all the experience in the world. I've picked up quite a bit

it? Adams has beaten him in the last eight matches that I've played.

highest checkout of the week so far. But it came about four seconds

after Adams had missed 10! -- had missed the 160. It goes back

to what I said - both players are expecting a lot from their

opponents. So they are not faced with the good - when the -- so they

are not phased when the good stuff comes at them.

Obviously, he is England captain. He is on a hat-trick. And to

Yeah, definitely. I was hoping 161 might rock him a little bit and

give him a bit of an edge that you are looking for, you know,

something to give you that a little bit of space, a bit of time to

recover. But Tony is such a professional player, he didn't let

it bother him. Just had the most amazing experience out there with

the crowd. I'm only halfway, two more games to go. I just wish that

was the final. I could retire and enjoy! I have two more games to

play. That's going to be hard to come back down after that, to be

honest. But I'm old enough and experienced enough. Hopefully I can

do that. I'm still three-times world champion here, three-times

world master. Next year, I'm looking forward to the first one of

the run of three to equal that record. I still want it!

Tony O'Shea has found his bottle. No three in three in 'Wolfy' Adams,

and O'Shea was outstanding. First of all, to the women's semifinal,

and the standard this evening was exceptional.
