not show any of it I am not bothered.

I was less of a skilled player and more of a slam into each other

person. This is how the Premier

League weekend looks. We'll have team news

from Bournemouth shortly. We'll also be at high

flying Huddersfield, And we'll check in on fellow new

boys Brighton who are at Watford. Palace, Swansea, Newcastle

and West Ham are all looking No such problems for

Manchester United, who will seek to extend their perfect

start against Leicester. Four games tomorrow including

a battle of the Blues at Stamford Bridge

and an all Red rumble We will start at the very top

of the Premier League Rachel Stringer has been

to see the Special Juan. Sounds of celebration sweep around

Old Trafford. Perfect start so far to the season. Feeling great. Calm

about it. As the manager said this is the beginning so we need to keep

calm. Matty Chand Lukaku got off to flying start, Matic especially. It

seems as if Mourinho likes to bring any solid base. A lot of qualities

for being that type of player and the manager knows it. A really

complete midfielder. Here comes Lukaku, you are going to hear that a

lot this season. How has managed to fit in so well so quickly? It is

good tea has done it quick because it is important to get confidence

back. I am sure he will score many more. The latter and is back. How

does he make the team feel? He is very confident still he can give us

confidence. It can be a big boost for us. To try to fight for the

titles. Your role, you have scope to do a little bit what you want. I am

playing from the right position but coming inside which is what I like.

We play enough leeway which is good for qualities and it has been good

in these two games and hopefully in many more games to come. You seem

super relaxed. You sit back a bit. You have hobbies outside of sport.

Culture, arts, you play the piano. Now, that was just one song. One

song is more than I can play. How does that help you translate onto

the field? I do not know if it helps me or not but it is what it is. The

things I like to do like another person. I consider ourselves very

lucky to play football in that level and to be professional footballers

but we are human and we have hobbies and what we like and what we do not

like. I do not know if it is helping me on the pitch but it is what I

like to do. Common Goal, this new charity, where did it start? I got

in contact and we had a few conversations that we thought we

would do something to bring football together as a sport and give to the

community as much as we can in terms of everyone helping and we started

with the voluntary donations but we hope it is going to be within the

footballing structure which will help. 2-0! Super goal. Next up

Leicester. Are you looking to push on and get your first goal of the

season? That would be perfect. Leicester two years ago won free

Premier League. They kept big players.

A couple of days ago you put this on Inspector Ram. Hopefully it can

remind us how to put this club where it is at which is trying to win be

Premier League and trying to win the Champions League. He is giving 1% of

his salary to charity. And encouraging other footballers

to do the same. When you look at how they are

playing, they are clinical. They have departments doing their jobs.

Matic in front. The rest of the midfield players you think Gore

where you want to go. Pogba does not have a position. The power, strength

and ability, they will end up in the top two IFS they do not win. Look at

them, look at the strain. Enjoying the freedom they have been given

going forward and he thrives on that. The guys in midfield, Pogba,

her red, there is no, you do that, leave that to defend and go and play

and win games. Mourinho only gives out freedom if he knows they are at

the back. Ibrahimovic announced his training on social media. Kept it on

the lowdown. Is that a no-brainer? Of course. He may not be available

until January but why not? Lukaku started extremely well. He is a top

footballer. The other teams think he might be have Lukaku and think all

dear. Remember Henrik Larsson signed in January? The same sort of

signing. United always sign the same. We will talk about the

Champions League later. Leicester are at Old Trafford at tea-time. Got

off to a good start. Yesterday lost against Arsenal. It seems like Craig

Shakespeare is carrying on the good work. They looked like they are back

to their championship winning form. When vardy-mac plays well and is

having energy and making runs Leicester follow suit. We will talk

about McGwire later but he is a massive addition. Marries is doing

what he does. Leicester are starting to get on a roll and they will keep

things simple and when they do they become a good side. Why would you

not set up the team for Vardy? You would win the league.

It's been a Manchester United old boy dominating the headlines

these past few days as England's all time leading goal scorer announced

Is he good enough? Is he ready? Wayne Rooney! Let not get too

carried away. I think we might have found one. Rooney! The teenage

terror strikes again. We are very lucky to have such a good player in

the team. Rooney's shot. He delivers. A bit of anger going on

here. Ronaldo ask a referee to do something. He has gone to his

pocket. Rooney has booted in. England have

the lead that they so desperately needed. Rooney is there. Wayne

Rooney's first-ever World Cup finals goal. Bobby Charlton's England

goal-scoring record has gone. He calls time on his international

career. He is leaving on his terms, which is the perfect time. I can

wish him all the best. He should look back on his career with immense

pride, his international career, the highest scorer in English

footballing history, a fabulous achievement. What a cracking way to

bow out the fabulous career. He is a legend. I had many good players at

that time but really of course was one of the best. Is he a legend? If

you are the most capped and the record goal-scorer I am not sure

what else you have to do to be a legend. Legend. Absolutely.

Easy to forget just how good he was when he burst on the scene.

Will he go down as an all-time great? He deserves to. He has been

levelled out and he has been great. All of those names are great sound

he is at the top of the list. Jimmy Greaves, it never gets old seeing

him. Some of the criticism is Euro 2000 and 44-mac goals in four games.

In major tournament that is where people point the finger, three goals

in 17 games after that. If there was a dark side it is not getting the

goals that he should be at the performances. We expected so much.

When was the last time England were any good at a major tournament?

1990? Only 27 years ago. What do you expect? Coming back into the Spain

squad, could he come back? He is behind Dele Alli and he would not

want that. His announcement has been really selfless witches class. It is

the right time. He is happy and his football. This is the England squad.

Maguire, Nathaniel Chalobah well. Similar kind of footballer. A lot of

defenders defend and there are players and he is a footballer who

can play. I played with Gareth Southgate at Aston Villa quite a lot

and I see a lot of highly Maguire in his game. He impressed last season.

I saw him playing for Jeff felt United in league one and he was very

similar, good defender, good defensive decisions, but also comes

and joined them and played. Watch this. Pulls his centre forward

towards him. Fouls him and gets away with it. Nothing wrong with that.

Playing in the back three where you can charge out but he can play

either. He can play either. It is like having an extra player because

when he comes into midfield he releases people. Shakespeare has got

it right because he will let him come out with the ball, and the

other three defenders come round for that cover. And he is a big lad!

international programme. Well, Rooney's announcement came off

the back of Everton's trip to the Etihad to face

Manchester City, and this is how Manchester City and Everton, the

first match of this new season. The first yellow card. Shoots, and it's

approaching the penalty area. Calvert-Lewin beat his man. It's in!

Everton take the lead. City zero, Everton one. Just a little late from

Kyle Walker. I think he might be in trouble, you know. It's a second

yellow card, and Kyle Walker is sent off. Pep Guardiola is furious.

Manchester City have a lot of work to do. High and wide, Raheem

Sterling. A very good save. Time beginning to run out the Manchester

City. Danilov aiming for David Silva. And the ten men of Manchester

City have found the equaliser. Schneider ling.

We already talked a lot about Wayne Rooney, covered the most

distance of any Everton player on the night but Dion, another

Dominic Calvert-Lewin - what do you like about this young man? He covers

a lot of bases. He doesn't mind running, works incredibly hard, a

big lad with pace, occupies more than one defender at a time. Look at

this one, in between defenders. Otamendi is out of position. They

don't know what to do. Do they go tight, dropped off? Then he picks

the right decision. If you are watching, he is concentrating all

the time on where to go, which defender to go on, and he finds the

space out wide on this occasion, holds it up, looks to see whether

support is coming from. He keeps going. This is the Everton goal.

Company does well, and Sane gives it away. I will pose here. Look at this

pace they've got. They are four on four at the moment. The defending is

not great. Fernandinho needs to go to the man on the ball, that's the

first thing. Kompany is fine. He then gets drawn

to the ball as well. It looks a simple goal, which it is, but from

City's point of view, it is an awful one to concede. When you play with

three, playing against one guy, we all look at each other anything,

there's enough of us, but the thing with Calvert-Lewin is that he

stretched them brilliantly, and they had no idea whether to go tight,

whether to stand-off. Otamendi should have gone tight as well. It

is very difficult if nobody knows what they are doing. Once they get

it right, as we saw the Chelsea last year, it is very simple. He makes

defenders do that. It is because he runs all over. Go with him if he

goes down the right, and that is your job done. Pep Guardiola didn't

want to talk about the red cards, but we will. Kyle Walker, and the

keeper. The Kyle Walker one first. I think it is a foul, but it's not a

yellow. Yes just getting in front of him and making it difficult. It is

so not a yellow card. Once you have had a yellow, you have to be

careful. I think it is down to sheer frustration at Calvert-Lewin playing

so well - how can they stop him? I think it is a free kick. He is

nowhere near the ball. He is convinced... Never a free kick. He

gets the ball cleanly. Trailing leg... Can you go in with that pace?

You can't, once you have had a booking. Jackie Elka is there, and

Aguero has his back to it. He can't do it. You do it in training all

week. If you see that you can win the ball, and you do win it, it has

got to be frustrating. It has happened to me many times in my

career. Not a happy man. He will miss the game against Chelsea.

Manchester City are at Bournemouth today.

Not the opponents they would have chosen to face today. An aggregate

score of 15-1. Jermain Defoe named in the England squad yesterday makes

his first opera Bournemouth today. Dan Gosling and Tyrone Ming are also

playing. Barnardo Silva starts for the first time, having come off the

bench in the opening couple of games. Raheem Sterling is rewarded

for his efforts and his equaliser against Everton on Monday night with

his first start of the season. City go to a back four, with John Stones

God is the dropping to the bench. And both of you think this is a far

more balanced Manchester City side. We heard a nasty rumour that there

would be three at the back and Mendy would play in the middle of the

centre-backs. They have changed the system again. Spent all this money

in the summer, got all these players, and they might sign another

one or two mat, but you're thinking, is Pep Guardiola trying to be too

clever? He can afford to try to be clever, because more often than not

he will be successful. With world-class players, you will get

away with it. It has not been a great start to the season from

Bournemouth, struggling to score goals. Defoe starts for the first

time. What do they lack? They need to go like that. If they do that,

and they all defend, they will be a lot better off! They need more going

this way as well, don't they? They need to score goals. Today, they

have just got to defend and see what they can get. They are Brett Goode

site, they can be, but today, on this occasion, just stop them

scoring in the first 15 minutes. -- they are a good side. He makes a

great run here and does fantastic for Watford's first goal. The

awareness, as a centre forward, get across your man, put the keeper

under pressure as well. There wasn't really a formation that they stuck

to. The defenders didn't know whether to come or stay. Watford, to

be fair, came out and played well. Can you press that magic button?

Time now to talk Burnley, and the latest addition

to the Claret collective, Jonathan Walters.

How you settling and how was everything going from a personal

perspective? It is like the Republic of Burnley, isn't it? It's great. I

only knew a few of the boys. I knew a few of the staff coming in will

submit a good place to work. So far, so good. Really enjoying it. The

faces coming in, is that on your mind? You go away on international

games and you talk to the boys, so you now that -- so you know how the

setup is going to be. It is brand-new, and it is an unbelievable

setup, not just the Irish boys and a light you have come across in your

career anyway, but everyone, the whole staff, the kitchen staff, the

physios, the media guys - it's like a big family. Ten years ago you were

with Chester, and then all of a sudden, the turnaround is

incredible, particularly your time at Stoke. How do you reflect on

that? Great, yeah. Great owners, they built properly. They have done

it right over the past few years, and a lot of teams would want to

copy that model of how to build slowly. It is a business. Made some

great friends there. You talk about players and staff that you see every

day, you spend more time with them than you do with your family. I had

a really enjoyable time, and I think you've got to enjoy it. Was a

daunting coming to a new club and almost having to start again? -- was

it daunting. I was like, a lot of them were in the early part of their

career. If you look at the past two mat clubs, it has been a long time.

It is like the first day at school in a new school. It doesn't daunt me

one bit. COMMENTATOR: Unbelievable. Sean Dyche's Burnley have beaten

Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. If you look at his sides in the last couple

of years, Sean Dyche is, it takes lads a little while to make their

way permanently into the team. I have got to work my way into the

team. I have played up front, behind, to the right, to the left.

It doesn't bother me where I played. I think that is a draw to managers

when they look at me, because I will play three or four mag different

positions in a game and it doesn't bother me. I knew I wouldn't be

straight into the team here. You have to work your way in. There's no

messing about. We'll hear more from

Jonathan Walters next Saturday ahead of the Republic

of Ireland's World Cup qualifiers. Lawro Walters helped establish Stoke

as top flight regulars. He is a shrewd purchase, isn't he? I

don't know what they paid, ?3 million? It's relatively nothing

nowadays. As he said, he has experience up front, right, left.

He's big, strong, loads of experience in the Premier league. I

think he is a clever signing. When you think about Bournemouth's

stuttering start to the season, but that opening day victory against

Chelsea, it just lifts confidence levels when you need it at the start

of the season. It tells them that they can, basically. It was the

start of the season, an amazing win at Chelsea, but they know they have

got it in their locker to do that, so it is down to them. They have

more less pressure on themselves. Talking recruitment, Chris Woods is

a record signing from these. Andre Gray went to Watford. ?15 million.

He has been around a long time, has played international football - what

can he bring to Burnley? Power and consistency. Sean Dyche likes to

play around. He wants players that going, do a job, and then he will

deal with the parts of the pitch that need to be dealt with. If he

goes in, he will do a job. He will say, there you go, Chris, get on

with that. And he well. They have big and strong players. -- and he

will. It's Tottenham tomorrow for Burnley,

and that means a trip to Wembley, which last week hosted its inaugural

Premier League game. COMMENTATOR: English football has no

bigger stage for a meeting of last season's top two. Moratti should

have scored. Free kick. Alonso. It's brilliant, and absolute master! It

hits the post! Eriksson... Own goal. Oh, and it's in! Spurs hit by the

sucker punch. Marcos Alonso again for Chelsea. Tottenham start at

Wembley with a defeat. Yet again, Chelsea pipped them. All that talk

of Chelsea's demise after the first game quickly removed. Can I ask

about Tottenham? What happens if they get an FA Cup semifinal? Who do

they play? I imagine they wouldn't play at Wembley. We will try to get

to the bottom of that by the end of the programme. Thanks for asking

live! Antonio Conte knee got it spot on.

In terms of tactics. He has come back and done great. He can do that.

He is the kind of player you can put in different positions all over the

pitch. I am not saying you can rely on him to stay in those positions

but he has the quality to do the job. One of those players that can

play anywhere. The transfer window closes next Thursday. Tottenham have

signed Sanches and brought in a goalkeeper. Where else would you get

to see them strengthen? To have a tilt at the title. The two centre

halves are very good. Where is the cover? He comes another part of

that. You have Eric Dier as well. He is not a centre-half for me. He is a

better centre-half than central midfield player. Cover up top. In

midfield I think they are fine but at the back and upfront, maybe one

more defender. We said they would not score goals and they did. To

sustain a title push if you can get somebody to play up front... The

problem is who do you get because Harry Kane is going to play every

week? Who can you attract us that on the bench? Who is going to allow

themselves to sign and maybe get ten games? Chelsea, whether they bring

in somebody. Doubt it. One, maybe two. Chelsea wanted again,

definitely. Champions League, Manchester United's group, here are

the groups involving Chelsea and Tottenham, Atletico Madrid... Gareth

Bale back at Tottenham is advertising as ever. All of the

Premier League teams should qualify. With the players and the depth of

squad they have these should but in Europe the game is completely

different and we have not come to terms with it. Interesting to see

how Tottenham adjusted Champions League football this season. Playing

league games at Wembley but that has been an issue because they have

played such a standard of opposition at Wembley and have not been able to

get a record going. Regularly getting into the top batch of

Premier League sides and deserve to be there. That pushes you enter the

Champions League. They are not quite there. They have the attributes to

do so but the game is very different. You have to change your

game from Premier League to Champions League. Absolutely. If you

keep giving the ball away in the Champions League you will not see it

for a while. It takes a while to learn that.

Watford welcome Brighton to Vicarage Road this afternoon.

A shock League Cup exit to Bristol City in the week,

Tuesday night as I did have been very positive. If I was a Watford

fan I would be taking positive vibes from the manager Marco Silva because

he was keen to underline what he expects from his players three the

event of his time here. Watford have these short-term policy, hiring and

firing by the season. I wondered if that will change with Marco Silva.

He is a keeper. The dealing he has done so far, the players he has

brought in, I can see Watford being in the middle of the pack.

Positivity from Watford. What about Brighton? Fantastic last time round

that they have not picked up points in the Premier League so far.

Concerns? Not yet. It is difficult to play Manchester City and

Leicester in the first few games. They have West Brom and then bomb.

The extra difficulty is making and taking chances. Last season was like

Championship Player of the Year there's back and fit. We will see of

he is ready. They have their Colombian winner and on his day he

could win games for Brighton the season. Today might be one of those

days. From one of those days to back in the day. Who is this who featured

here are quite a few days ago? Look at those leg muscles. The

concentration on the ball. You will know after ten days. City at home is

a nightmare. He is right, who is going to score the goals to keep you

in the Premier League? That is the big thing. Look at Newcastle.

Mick McCarthy reflects upon his younger self.

He did not have any trouble fastening his laces. He did not have

to put his glasses on. And it's Magic Mike

versus Mystic Mark as Hollywood star Another of the teams

who've made a bright start Two league wins and yet to concede

a goal, and one of the men who can take credit for that is

defender Craig Dawson. Congratulations, a new three year

deal, this place must feel like home, you must be delighted to get

it done early. Definitely. A good start to the season. Hopefully we

will continue. When you look back to the boy collecting glasses in the

pub could you have imagined this would have happened to you?

Definitely not. It has been a long great journey. I was doing my

A-levels and working in the pub band playing semiprofessional and it was

hard, difficult. You always dream of playing in the Premiership and have

a good career and you have to keep learning and developing. You have an

opportunity to go and play non-league football. Is that the

moment you think changed your life? Definitely. I was playing with a lot

of ex-professionals and they looked after me and I learned footballer

hard way. I think you have only missed one game in the last two

seasons which is incredible. You do not go through a full season without

feeling pain at some point. Is that a love for the game that you put

yourself out there? Definitely. You want to play in every game in the

Premier League and be part of the team. We have a great squad and

everybody wants to be in the starting XI and it is great for the

team. How much are you enjoying being back? Yeah, it has been really

good, playing centre-half is probably my preferred position and

we have started well so will play acting keep the position and keep us

doing well as a team. Injury to some of the centre halves means you have

gone back into that position, Jonny Evans has been in the news recently

with a link to Manchester City, possibly raising eyebrows outside of

the club, how has it been in the squad? He the top professional and a

great player. We have not been listening to stories and have been

focusing on the games ahead. We do everything we can on the pitch and

we have a very close squad and we had some good additions in the

summer. The squad is looking good. You have signed for another three

years which will take you until 2020. Ten years at the club. What

does West Brom mean to you? Yeah, it means a lot to me. I have been here

quite a while. It has been some journey and hopefully I can keep it

going. You need dependable players like that. One game missed in two

seasons. They have made a great start. Never met him, get the

impression he is a good solid professional and his performance

levels are up there. Tony Pulis likes people who are reliable. I

believe he can do his job. He seems incredibly quiet but when you get a

player like that over the white line they think this is me, I can be

noisy, I can do my job. I am pleased he has a new contract. Beware the

quiet ones! West Brom brought in a couple of good signings. Barry and

Rodriguez. It is interesting because one of them hardly started for

Leipzig. He is big and strong and showed up fantastically well at

Forest. You are buying potential rather than somebody... Look at the

size of him. For a wide player. You picked out Gareth Barry as a wise

signing. What do you like about him? Going to a team like West Brom, ease

quite like West Brom, Tony Pulis has been shrewd, he is the kind of

player that will do Tony Pulis' job for him in the dressing room.

Perfect. Saido Berahino back at the Hawthorns. He needs to start

playing. Scoring. He needs to do both. You shake your head. I would

be embarrassed about his record. He has had a couple of injuries but a

lot of it has been on his head, his attitude has not been great. Not

that we know the ins and outs. He has to start repaying himself for

letting himself down. Badly advised when he was younger. Sometimes the

penny drops. It needs to drop soon. He can start showing what a good

player he can be. He is a good goal scorer. Once he gets a smile on his

face and gets some appearances he will be fine.

We've already heard from Manchester United and West Brom,

but there's a third Premier League team boasting a 100%

This is what happened last week after their 1-0 victory over

Newcastle. A 45 year wait for top-flight well worth it.

Southampton. The tone must be bouncing.

It certainly is. Huddersfield Town flags and all kinds of stuff around

the town. A feel-good factor. Standing with me somebody who has

been a full CAD with Huddersfield Town as a player and manager, Peter

Jackson. An extraordinary start. Remind people, at the beginning of

last season Huddersfield were one of the favourites to be relegated out

of the Championship. They could be top of the Premier League tonight.

Amazing. And to win promotion after being favourites to go down and to

win promotion on the play-off. Little did we know there would be

two back-to-back wins. An amazing start. Today will be a tough test,

Southampton have a lot of quality. A magnificent start by Huddersfield.

Testament to David Whitener. People knew him as somebody who worked

under Jurgen Klopp. It must have been a repulsive to appoint him and

he has been rewarded. Without a doubt. People were seeing David who?

His first full season, he came in October, he kept the club in the

Championship and in his first full season he then some really good

players in the summer and went on to win promotion and he will go on and

be a fantastic manager in the future. It will not be long before

bigger clubs come in for him. You are an adopted son of this town. A

beautiful tone. What has the last few months done for it?

You can feel the atmosphere, and it is 42 years since we were last in

the big-time. They have always talked about that, the old fans. And

it is nice to see those days back. It is a new era in the Premier

league. Everyone in the town and the surrounding towns are enjoying the

experience. It's like what Leicester were a few years ago, everybody's

second-team. It is nice to be associated with it. This is a

football club we shouldn't forget that has Herbert Chapman and Bill

Shankly amongst its former managers, so the bar reset pretty high.

Wenger Lev Sanchez out -- left Sanchez out. We have spoken about

Arsenal's soft underbelly for years, but it hasn't been dealt with. And I

think that is where they have gone wrong. Deal with this serious

problems, stop adding players that make you look good and to play the

way you play anyway. Is an issue that Klopp has at the moment is

Coutinho. It will become a real problem if Coutinho goes in and

says, I don't want to play. That has not been in his character yet.

Absolutely not. He has asked for a transfer - fine. But he hasn't yet

gone in and said, by the way, I don't want to play. If he does, that

is problematic. Dembele has gone from Dortmund for about ?135 million

to Barcelona. Is that all? Yes! Do you think a team will be eight

Barcelona player by the end of the deadline? No. I hope he stays. He

might be in the Suarez situation, where he says, play another season

up and then you can go, but just help us win the league. I would like

interstate. You cannot have a disaffected player in the dressing

win. When you have had four or five wins on the bounce, it does breed

that. We could have lost every game we've played, but we are giving all

right at the minute. You could listen to him from ages -- for ages.

In all the time that Ipswich have been around, they have only had 15

permanent managers. They stick by their men. In history? Yes.

Unbelievable. He is one of the great managers on a relatively small

budget. Doing a fantastic job. If they win all five of their first

five games, it will be there best ever start to a season, Ipswich.
