The Indian Grand Prix - Highlights Formula 1

Previously: Race 16, India. This is Formula One.

I am just standing here, wishing I was somewhere else. They are making

a movie. Did you see that? He just jumped off while the train was

moving. So this jumped off while the train was

chance for us to have a bit of India. Formula One probably will not

come back. That is a shame. It is a great place, great style, character.

How do you feel about it? You see the extremes of wealth and poverty.

I know this is not exclusive to India, but it is so visible here.

There is a lot of work necessary to fill the void between the haves and

have-nots. I thought it was a huge addition to the calendar. I am

thinking mainly of the commercial side as well as the cultural side.

This is a vast country, 1.2 billion people. And they really only have

one sport, cricket. Cricket is huge, because anyone can play it in

this treats. Formula One is a technology sport, so it is an

exclusive world. This country need something other than cricket. They

love their cars, and they are wacky when it comes to road manners. We

have got to get off, quick! Guard dog. Is he alive? Yeah, he is

sleeping. Put your seat belt on Eddie. This is the definition of

crazy. Makes the Grand Prix look like child's play. We are getting

off here. Get down, grandad. I thought cows were sacred. Our goat

sacred, to? I don't know where to go. I find the colour amazing. It is

so vibrant. Very beautiful. Present for you. I needed to come to India

to appreciate how much I love you. Eddie, you are really getting on my

goat. This is a rare oasis of calm in

Delhi. It is so unbelievably quiet compared to where we have just come

from. Let's have that conversation. This is a big weekend for Vettel.

Top five, and he has got it. And he deserves it. He has done everything

right. He has minded himself. He has won these nine Grand Prix so far. He

deserves to win the championship. And strategy -wise? Pirelli have got

softer tyres than in the past. Vettel has been on pole and has led

every lap. But like Brazil last year, when he got involved in an

incident in the first lap, when you expect something to be cut and

dried, it does not always work out that way. Really? And there was me

thinking this was such a fitting place to crown a world champion

Hello and welcome to the Buddh International Circuit in Delhi for

the Indian Grand Prix. This is the first realistic chance that the

triple world champion Hummer Sebastian Vettel, will have to

clinch his fourth consecutive title will stop here is the deal. With a

top five finish, Sebastian Vettel can guarantee the title.

With a huge disparity between the two tyre compounds yesterday,

qualifying was intriguing. After two podiums in the last two

races, Romain Grosjean should have been challenging for the front row,

but he was sent out on the harder tyre and was eliminated in Q1. He

starts from 17. Fernando Alonso is the only challenger who could stop

Vettel from winning the title. He starts on the Hyder tyre from eighth

place. Mark Webber was the highest placed driver on the harder tyre. An

impressive lap put him forth. Unlike other teams on a Mercedes did not

split the strategy. Both Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg used the

softer tyres. Mossberg took second, leaving Sebastian Vettel to take is

the whole position at the Indian circuit in as many years and gives

him the best possible to win -- best position to win the race. With the

different strategies tomorrow, it could be a different race. But in

the end, if you manage to make a strategy work, you have got 60 laps

to do that. We are in a good position to have a great result So

Vettel get his seventh pole position of the season.

Lights out, away we go, and it is a good start from Lewis Hamilton once

again, but not enough to get him in front. Sebastian Vettel leads into

the first corner. Hamilton is a second ahead of his team-mate.

Contact with the Ferrari. Was that Alonso or Massa? There was some

front wing damage on the car. Webber is losing ground. He is dropping

back several places. Hulkenberg and Raikkonen are ahead of him. Mark

Webber has not had the start he wanted. Sebastian Vettel in front.

Mass in second place. -- Masser We saw some thing fly off the car.

So Raikkonen hit Webber. He was apportioning blame before anyone

asked. So, Alonso not having a good first lap this time. Massa is into

second position as he chases Sebastian Vettel. This is not the

start that Alonso wanted. He needs to finish first or second.

RADIO: looks OK at the moment, Kimi. The reports from the team are hoping

that the car is not badly damaged. Is Vettel doing his usual trick on

Webber is still ahead of anybody second advantage.

Webber is still ahead of anybody else on the harder tyre. You saw

Romain Grosjean towards the back, he has not made a lot of progress yet.

Presumably, they want to get off the soft tyre as quickly as possible.

They have done just one lap. That is all you need to do, as long as you

use it at some point. Button is looking down the inside.

RADIO: Chilton, what an idiot. A complaint about Max Chilton. There

was contact. Jenson Button is way down. He has lost out a lot in this

first lap. He is down in 13th position, so bad news for Jenson

Button. We thought the soft tyres might go further than this, but

already, they are going to bring Sebastian Vettel in. He almost made

a mistake coming in. Gets away with it, but this, we were not

expecting. We knew it would be early. Surprisingly that Vettel has

gone for it so early. Tom, he has gone past you? Yeah, he has. Red

Bull simulated this during final practice yesterday. It is

Massa will now be leading this Grand Prix in the other Ferrari. A pit

stop of 8.7 seconds, but with will be a long afternoon's work now for

Fernando Alonso. If he does not finish first or second, it is all

Sebastian Vettel's championship He was lighting up the rear tyres as he

came through turn one. Whether that was anger or frustration... Anyway,

Charles Peek is -- Charles Peek is running last at the moment.

Sebastian Vettel now has to try and cut through the traffic. The story

of this race will be how quickly Vettel can cut his way through the

traffic. Webber has managed to stay in front of anybody else on the

harder compound that, the medium compound being used here. Looked

like Hamilton launched well at the start, and then Vettel had to get

defensive in the run down to the first corner. In the end, he

probably gave a squirt of KERS to secure his position. Watching the

middle pack, Fernando clips the rear of Mark Webber. It has not been a

good start for him this afternoon. Webber actually hit Raikkonen, and

that bounced him across. Alonso had committed to accelerating. And then

Alonso made contact with Button and there was a change between the two

Mercedes, because Hamilton had gone in front of Rosberg. The initial

getaway from Mark was not too bad. Whether he decided not to use too

much of his horsepower, there was that contact with Raikkonen. And

then Alonso was clipping his rear tyre. We know how fragile these

vehicles are two of sidewall contact. Hamilton launched well

initially. But then he makes a mistake. Well, certainly Vettel

does. He was able to open up that run towards turntable three.

You can just see what it was like from Alonso's point of view and we

will see the contact from Webber. Listen to the acceleration. He

accelerates and Webber doesn't because of the contact with

Raikkonen. Webber extremely lucky that hasn't punctured his tyre.

Absolutely. Further contact with McLaren, and that was Jenson Button.

So it was a pretty difficult first lap for Alonso. You will see that

again here. That was unusual. Did he open up the steering to make way? He

was committed to the apex and then he turned wide, and, of course, then

you are committed to the turning. OK, OK, we will have a look at

that. Saying the steering is really heavy on the right-hand corners

Power steering, of course, on these Formula One cars, and it is all

chewed to perfection. Jenson Button just nipping through after that act

also Button will now be chasing after Kimi Raikkonen. Vettel is

still 18 seconds behind... Button trying to attack Raikkonen! Good

racing between these two! Trying to take advantage of that again! Coming

round the outside! And he goes wide! It is getting frantic down there!

The race leader has been told to come into the pit. Nice and tight.

Good stuff. Just not able to keep it tidy but held on with turn number

six, not. And that is Massa onto the prime. As Massa rejoins, where will

he be compared to Sebastian Vettel? He should be two or three seconds

behind him. Keypad eye on where he is. Felipe Massa rejoins. And

Hamilton is out behind Rosberg. No change amongst that group.

Meanwhile, this is bringing Vettel back up the order after his pit

stop. Already into six place, Felipe Massa, having made that pit stop,

trying to get past Bottas. Bottas from Williams. This is crucial. He

takes the position and there is no way back for Bottas. You can see how

wide that corner is and how it narrows up at the apex. Yes, and

Felipe Massa... You can see Rosberg not far away from Felipe Massa, so

that little group will be together again. Mark Webber now leads this

Grand Prix. He is on the harder compound tyre and he is lapping

quickly. Had the fastest lap last time around. Now he has just got to

put those laps in. time around. Now he has just got to

space in front of him. Nothing in front of Mark Webber

and he has to make the most of that. Daniel Ricciardo is now in third.

Another one who started just outside the top ten on that further compound

tyre. And we're back with Fernando Alonso, into the first of the two

TRS zones. This should allow him to catch up but we haven't seen many

passes town into turn one. And, again, we don't see one on this

occasion. Dips down excellently Vettel now getting another place and

he has got past Grosjean. Grosjean is still going on his soft tyres. We

wondered if he might well do this and he has allowed Vettel through.

He won't fight the situation. Remember, Grosjean is coming from 17

so he is just run to get into the top ten to score some solid points

here. -- he is just trying. I think we have to look out with Grosjean on

the option tyre. They say they won't guarantee the safety of the tyres

beyond 15 laps. That is their advice. Unless they decide to push

it outside that window. Another quick lap from Mark Webber. Let s

take a look on board with Sebastian Vettel, as this was, I think, with

Romain Grosjean. Yes, it was. He was the slowest of all on the speed

rapping qualifying, Grosjean. We will add that the RS to Vettel and

the fact that his car was quicker anyway. So, Gary, how is this

working out as you see it? Not as I'd thought. A bit of traffic. The

Sebastian Vettel to come in on the second lap, dropped to 17... And

then Fernando Alonso at 19th the same time. Now Alonso was 14. It

just shows, it is down to luck, commitment and a lot of things. But,

at the end of the day, a fantastic race. Yes, use just siding his way

through the traffic, Vettel. He seems to fly past them. And even

then, that has helped his lap times. If you meet the cars at the right

point in time, you can gain on lap time. That is part of it. But he has

the lap time down. 24 seconds and he needs to be 21. I am afraid it looks

like Vettel is the man. We don't have a crystal ball, but it looks

like Vettel is on his way here. If he doesn't have any issues. You can

just see Alonso has managed to get past Gutierrez, so he has dealt with

that very quickly. We thought there might be more of a problem than

that. Still tough. Grosjean will now try to get past Gutierrez. We will

have to wait and see how that resolves itself. Jenson Button is

down in 18th, having made two pit stops to everybody else's one.

Gutierrez has managed to pass Alonso. I am sure we will see a

replay of that any time soon. This is a nice little battle brewing up

tween these two. Good rings Bob The rocky Mexican, who had that first

points finish in Japan, dicing away with the double world champion now.

-- good stuff. The rookie Mexican. And here comes Vettel, right behind

-- good stuff. The rookie Mexican. Peres, -- right behind Sergio Perez.

Looking at the constructor's points, Red Bull will certainly be

on target. This is if things stay as they are. This could be double

success for them here in India. He has to leave it quite late but just

gets it done on the brakes. I doubt Sergio Perez will have any comeback.

Sebastian Vettel, then, has got himself into second place already.

We weren't expecting this. We thought dropping back into the

traffic, it would take longer, but already on that 21 out of 60 he has

only his team-mate up ahead, and, remember, Mark Webber still has to

use those soft tyres at some point, whether it is in the middle or the

end of the race. Probably more likely to see this at the end but he

still has to use them. A reminder, Mark hasn't done a stop yet, and...

And look at this! That is Alonso getting past Gutierrez! That is an

unusual place to do it! A fantastic move and he well stay there. He had

to be aggressive and we will see a replay of that. We will see whether

Gutierrez was getting a bit defensive in the run-up to five

leaves just enough space. Do you think he saved all of his for this

same sort of position. The first pit stop for Mark Webber in this Grand

Prix. He has put the soft tyre on so he has gone for a short stint now.

They haven't left it until the end, which is what we thought they might

do. Maybe five, seven laps. Well, space to get out into the clean

air. As we speak, Perez has done his stop. Yes, and he has gone on to the

soft tyre as well, so the same strategy for Sauber. Perez has gone

out behind Hamilton. Just ahead of Hulkenberg. So there is Lewis

Hamilton. We haven't seen him make his second pit stop yet. So, Rosberg

coming in a bit earlier than Hamilton on this occasion and

Hamilton just trying to close that gap up a bit to Felipe Massa. This

bit of the race is all about how the car and drivers have looked after

their tyres. Hamilton seems to have looked after his pretty well. This

is Grosjean on Gutierrez a short while ago. A quick switch back and

then the switch back the other way. The double dummy. How do you read

that one, David? I read French man trying to overtake! Was the tarmac

moving too much in front of Grosjean? My aisle was more on the

car behind, so I will reserve judgement. -- my eye. It all depends

on how much movement Gutierrez was doing in front of Romain Grosjean.

He obviously doing in front of Romain Grosjean.

Mark Webber back out in second place, having made his pit stop

Sebastian Vettel leads the Indian Grand Prix as we reach the half

distance point and he is driving you to be once again as he tries to

complete this 100% record. -- he is driving beautifully. Goes to take

his fourth world title. Looking good for the German driver now. His only

opponent in the drivers' championship is Fernando Alonso who

is down in 12th, and that won't do at all. Sebastian Vettel now will be

coming in for his final pit stop and he will then take the medium

compound tyre to the very end of this Grand Prix. And, crucially he

has such a lead over Ricciardo, he will be able to get back out in

second place after the pit stop And Webber will make his final pit stop

very soon as well because he is on the soft tyre and won't be able to

be out there very long. So we will get the full picture very soon.

Vettel, of course, only a few laps when he was on the soft tyre at the

start of the race but only did two laps and then came in. Last lap from

Webber. Good one. It depends on the next one. Can he maintain the pace?

It is unlikely based on everything we have seen in practice. Getting

micro blisters at the end of the first lap and it only gets worse

from there. This is Romain Grosjean. Let's see the move he made on

Fernando Alonso. Sorry, Massa, I think. Just moving up into ninth

position. Grosjean still going on this slightly different strategy,

from the looks of things, after that long stint he did. And we can see

Jenson Button... And then Alonso. But Button is going to come back at

him! He cuts inside and does But Button is going to come back at

the place. They are having fun. It didn't work

the place. They are having fun. It there. Webber is in. He will swap

those soft tyres, already making the change. Vettel has a ready gone

past. He has got the lead of this Grand Prix. Webber comes out behind

a bit of traffic as well. Just behind Daniel Ricciardo, and now a

race to the end. But it is Vettel who is in front. Red Bull would have

put that option tyre on for Mark Webber to get it out of the way You

have to use both options in the race and to have a safety car come out,

it would have marked him out in the first stop in a bad place. But now

he is able to race to the end. There is confirmation, by the way. A

massive advantage if it stays as it is, with Ferrari only taking up six

and Massa in seventh. But things will change as we get to the latter

part of the race. Ricciardo is chasing Felipe Massa. Bet he is

looking forward to getting his hands on a Red Bull! He has done a good

job, enough to impress the senior team. It was a chance of a lifetime

to go up against the world champion and show what you are made of. Yes,

every driver's dream. Looks like a retirement for Charles Pic. That

means both Caterhams are out of the Grand Prix, because under guard was

the first retirement. Radio macro we are investigating a serious issue on

the car. At is a shame for Caterham. Doesn't look like there is

any opportunity former Russia to gain on them --, Russia.

Sebastian Vettel leads the Indian Grand Prix. He's got on the soft

tyre and then thought maybe he was better on the hard tyre.

RADIO: we have lost give box six. They run a seamless shift, which

means if you are in third gate, they give box --" pre-select the fourth

gear. When the driver pulled the paddle, get this acceleration..

Webber is in trouble! It is all over. We heard that have been a

problem, and he is out. The fans are rushing down to the fence to try and

get a view of Mark Webber. The man who many people thought might take a

victory today. In the constructors championship, it is a loss of points

as well. We gather it is an alternator failure. We have not seen

one of those this year. We have a problem for Vettel at the British

Grand Prix, but it was last year that we really saw the alternator

problems. Mark Webber is out of the Indian Grand Prix.

RADIO: I am aware. Not much he can do about it. Vettel is leading this

Grand Prix, and no longer is Webber in second. Sebastian was probably

watching the television and seeing that Mark has pulled off. A

disappointing finish from Mark Webber.

RADIO: we need to stop the car, mate. I'm very sorry. Are you saying

stop the car? Correct, stop the car. Pullover in a safe place. The same

instruction came to Vettel last year. The reason for that is that

the alternator, if it fails, the driving system can then mess up the

rest of the engine. And these engines are used multiple times so

they need to cut it very quickly. Let's hear from him.

Mark, you sounded surprised when you were told to stop the car. Yeah

there were problems with the gay box and I told the guys about that.

--". And then I thought it would clear, but it came back. Were you

disappointed to have to put the soft tyres on when you did? No. You have

got to run them for a few laps, which we did. In the end, I still

have a smile on my face. I couldn't do any more today. He does sound as

though he will be heading out here quickly. But he put in good effort

and should have been finishing second today. Interestingly, Rob

Smedley at Ferrari has told Massa that they do need to go through

RADIO: stop using the drinks bottle, please. Maybe it is draining the

battery from the car. So Rosberg takes second place. Kimi Raikkonen,

wonder if he is still trying to go all the way on this set of tyres.

Tom, what have you got? I just asked that very question to one of the

Pirelli engineers. Can Kimi Raikkonen get to the end of the race

on those tires? His response was, Mamma Mia! Very nice!

This was the view from Kimi Raikkonen. Rosberg gets an easy

pass. He will soon be under pressure from his team-mate, Romain Grosjean.

He took 1.2 seconds out of Raikkonen last round. If Raikkonen makes a pit

stop, he will drop write-down in the order, despite the gaps opening up

in the top ten. Sebastian Vettel is very much on target towards winning

the world championship. There is that opportunity to take six in a

row. Fernando Alonso has worked out that he does not have the speed to

effect a pass on Ricciardo. He tries to straighten the car as much as

possible as they go towards five. Is anyone going to make a late pit

stop? Looks as though they are going to try to go all the way to the end.

Kimi Raikkonen is being caught by his team-mate, Romain Grosjean.

Grosjean is still taking chunks out of him. Raikkonen is at the end of

the life of those tires. If he stops, you will drop way down, as

you say. He would be just behind Hulkenberg. Hulkenberg has a

problem. Nico Hulkenberg started on the soft tyre.

promote Di Resta answer till. - and Adrian Sutil. Sebastian has just

done the fastest lap of the Grand Prix. With the likes of Hulkenberg

going out on a new set of soft tyres, he is likely to be faster

than Vettel and maybe take the fastest lap. So Vettel must not

worry about it. He has just got to race his own situation. He has a 27

second lead over Rosberg. It is like Singapore, where he had a half

minute lead. Looks like he will have a similar margin on this occasion as

the race for third and fourth will be getting exciting soon. Adrian

Sutil is under pressure from Ricciardo. This is for the last

point this afternoon. You can see how close Alonso is. He has been

trying to find a way past the Toro Rosso. Mixed emotions for Red Bull,

but looks as though everything is going their way. There is some

tension thereafter the problems for Mark Webber. We have heard that

Vettel is having to look after the car. Here comes Sergio parades on

Lewis Hamilton. They are racing for sixth position. -- Sergio Perez We

have not seen McLaren go up against Mercedes much this year. This has

got to be a boost for McLaren, to see Perez dicing with Hamilton. This

is the form we were all expecting from Perez.

come back in the pits. He has got a problem. You said on the radio that

there was a problem with the floor. This is his second non-finish this

year. He had a non-start at the beginning of the season in

Australia. That is a shame. Still his best ever sequenced in Formula

One, but it has come to an end, Tom 's I am in the Sauber garage, and

when Hulkenberg made that last pit stop for the soft tyre, the team was

not ready. The clearly, the problem was already a problem at that point.

It is something to do with the underneath of the car. Grosjean is

about to go past Raikkonen! They are wheel to wheel, and Grosjean sweeps

around the outside, but he does it off track, and he gives up the

place. He has learned his lesson from Hungary, when he went past

Felipe, and he has let him back through. I am sure that has come as

a shock to Kimi. Romain started in 17th place. I don't see how he can

keep him behind for three more laps. Raikkonen is sending him off for the

moment, but behind them, Felipe Massa is catching. And Kimi is

moving out of the way, because Felipe Massa is the danger. They

want to finish in front of the Ferrari. Lotus is catching Ferrari

and Mercedes. Kimi Raikkonen's tyres have given up, but he has done some

49 laps on this set of tyres, so Lotus's amble to go for one stop may

not be working for Kimi, but it is working for Grosjean. I don't think

Grosjean can complain too much. If you put yourself on the outside you

have to accept that the car on the inside can squeeze his line. But

Grosjean was very smart and let s Raikkonen back through. But in

giving up that place, Raikkonen then lost position to Massa. This is the

race for sixth position. Hamilton has reported that the tyres have

given up on him, and he is fighting to stay in front of the McLaren

This would not be McLaren's best finish of the year, but it is close

to it. In China, they were using a similar type of tyre. McLaren are

definitely having one of their better weekends of the season. Look

how slow Raikkonen is going. He is going to be overtaken by both of

these guys. We saw it in China. He rolled the dice and took a gamble

with the tyres, and there was nothing left. So Lewis Hamilton gets

past Kimi Raikkonen, or does he No, he doesn't. Perez has a think

about it. This is strategic. That white line denotes where you get the

activation in terms of one second window. Now, he will be able to

evade his DRS. Here we go, side-by-side. Sergio Perez has got

past Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen! Raikkonen still

struggling on his tyres. We know Lewis Hamilton has run out of grip

with his car. He will be on the outside. Very

with his car. He will be on the Sergio Perez has moved into fifth

place, matching McLaren's best result of the season so far if he

can continue. Brilliant driving from all three. It was comical as they

were coming out of turn one. Listening to some of the radio, we

don't always get all of it. Apparently, Kimi Raikkonen's team

were saying, get out of the BLEEP way. Kimi, back to the team. Don't

shout! We might get a replay of that later. Up front, there is no doubt

about who is leading the race and heading for victory once again. It

is Sebastian Vettel. He has just done it all so perfectly. Kimi

Raikkonen has come in to the pits, dropping further down. It is going

to be very close between him and Di Resta.

RADIO: you need to short shift as much as you can. He will end up

losing performance to Massa. They are going into the last lap.

Sebastian Vettel has dominated this race. The gap is up to 26 seconds.

Nico Rosberg running solidly in second, way ahead of Romain

Grosjean, but what a run by Grosjean to come up from 17th place, and to

do it on one stop, which no one ought was possible. Yet Lotus have

managed it. It did not work for Raikkonen, but Raikkonen has come in

front of Di Resta. He is in seventh place. Both cars are trying a risky

strategy. Sebastian Vettel has once again beaten them all. Eight

dominant display, whether he is your cup of tea or not. No question he

has used the machinery at his disposal to full effect. Just

looking back on track, by the way. Paul Di Resta has the good tyres on

so he should be able to stay where he is. Sebastian Vettel has just

half a lap to do now to complete it. Rosberg, who started on the

front row with him, let's not forget, you was some 20 seconds

behind and that is the margin of Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel's

Daugherty. -- he was. -- Sebastian Vettel's authority. This is going to

be his fourth Grand Prix in a row! He is the 2013 world champion! He

takes three out of three wins in India. An absolutely remarkable

record! And he has delivered in style! He has won it from the front.

His 10th win of 2013 as well. Double the number of victories he had in

2012. Well, of course, you also won the title. Sebastian Vettel has

achieved his goal once more. -- he also won. A solid try from Nico

Rosberg but just showing you the difference in pace between them

Third place, we think it will be Romain Grosjean, and that is going

to be a fabulous performance as well. He has just crossed the line.

Massive finishes. -- Massa finishes fourth. But Sebastian Vettel. Well,

he was the youngest ever world champion three years ago when he was

23. But the boy wonder of 2010 champion three years ago when he was

become the man for four seasons Unbelievable what he has achieved,

and he has joined such an incredibly select group! You have done it in

style. You are a four-time world champion. You join the greats! Well

done! They have been in this situation before but that release of

tension, wonderful scenes in the Red Bull pit Garrard. Let's not forget,

this is an Austrian owned team but very much British engineering that

has taken success once again. And the Milton Keynes -based outfit Red

Bull has taken another victory. He is going to enjoy himself and he

executes some perfect doughnuts in a cloud of smoke! -- perfect go-nuts!

He is surely a superhero because he has won every Grand Prix we have had

here! We are definitely not coming back next season. Some say we might

be back in the future. But, whatever. He has taken all three

wins as he gives praise to his car. Adrian New Year 's genius. The whole

team have put such hard work in -- Adrian knew of his genius. It has

confounded the other teams. I'm sure the T-shirts are already there. Four

for Vettel. And he has the Roman numerals to do that. So, a

remarkable race, a brilliant victory once more by Sebastian Vettel! And a

time to enjoy before the final three races of the season. And, indeed, he

gets hoisted aloft by Nico Rosberg and Romain Grosjean.

So, to confirm today's race and Romain Grosjean.

Grosjean shared the podium with him. In turns of the drivers

championship, that belongs to Sebastian Vettel. Look at that. Paul

Di Resta has made it into the top ten. In turns of the constructors

championship, web log champions yet again, but look at the battle for

second place. Mercedes leapfrog Ferrari. After all the PR

commitment, Sebastian Vettel went down to his Garrard to celebrate,

When you started go-karting all those years ago, did you ever dream

of being a four-time world champion or Formula One champion? I think my

brain capacity was way too small at the time and my head was very small!

It was crazy! When started watching Formula One properly, there were

guys like Jenson, Fernando already racing. And even Mark. On the TV...

You know. The dream was there but identity even dare to dream about

it. To be mentioned in the same breath as Michael Schumacher and

others, what does that mean to you? Can you put it into words? Not

really. Across the line. You could argue, you could see that one

coming, but, you know, as a team, we have been very disciplined. In a

way, we didn't allow ourselves to drift

way, we didn't allow ourselves to about the championship. We try

relieve focus on the moment. And take it step-by-step. Because it is

a huge threat. You win and you try to win again but you lose focus

because everybody taps your shoulder and says, you are so great, Ewing --

you are doing so well, blah, blah, blah. But the team managed to do it

and I think we can be very proud of that but it is very difficult to

grasp. I could go on and on and on, but you can't... Put it into words.

In that moment. Nico, a very strong driver today, though not much you

could do with that guy out in front. But a great race. For once, a normal

weekend where everything went properly, so second place. The

strategy didn't work and I think we all agree to be very brave today,

this morning. The soft tyres were better than we thought at the

beginning of the race. Getting a few more laps might have been a key at

the end of the race but the car was back to the way we had it on Friday

and that was good. So a very good race. And then Gutierrez and with my

team-mate. But, nevertheless, we are on the podium. Was it tougher than

you thought out there? I think so. Where did you struggle? The pit

stop. It was so hard to get past the Ferrari. A bit unfortunate. But a

lot more races ahead of us. A tough day. I think you saw the pit lane as

much as the circuit. Yes, it was a shame. A shame we couldn't get two

cars in with the points but that shame. A shame we couldn't get two

the way it is sometimes. Where did you struggle out there? I got hit on

the first lap. Which is quite hard. In the side by Fernando. And I got a

puncture from it. Is that why you came in early? Yes. And the problem

is, I was on the medium tyre, which is the one you need to run long so

it destroyed that. We took quite a tough strategy on that one. But in

the end, three valuable points for the team. I don't know what happened

to Nico. He was coming into the pits behind me. But we have done all we

could and with a damage limitation, going away, getting points on both

cars with a week to recover and hopefully heading out a bit

stronger. So, Sebastian Vettel making history. He just did it all

right, didn't he? By the time he had worked his way forward, over to the

front runners, he was still within a pit stop of them, so this was a

re-dominant display. Up there with Singapore for me. -- this was a

really dominant display. The three races we have had here, this being

the third, you has won all three. He has had pole position in all three.

-- he house. When you think back and what is your favourite, it is India.

It is teamwork and Red Bull win their fourth consecutive

constructors title. They will be thrilled with that, when they?

Without the great team and the car, and clearly Adrian Newey that his

team have been able to and clearly Adrian Newey that his

Rosberg was on the podium. But what about Romain Grosjean coming from

17th to third? We know the focus was on him but Grosjean passed everybody

and he was so bitterly disappointed with whatever they did. The team did

a bad decision in the qualifying but he made good that mistake. He

certainly did. We haven't finished the season yet. Three races to go!
