Fantastic, well done, great stride! Yes, yes, and yes again!

But 2010 was a year for Red Bull to forget.

Mark Webber has gone crashing into the wall, the championship leader is

out of the race. The championship leader lost his

edge. Both Red Bull cars are in the wars,

we lost Mark Webber and now Sebastian Vettel.

So what will this year hold for the top team? Another career highlight?

Hello and welcome to race day in South Korea where we were promised a

typhoon, we have received some rain and a right lustre of wind which

should not bother the drivers too much. There can be noted out

Sebastian Vettel has dominated here since the -- since the inaugural

race in 2010, he has led all but 12 laps -- all the 12 laps, another

statistic the other drivers will be laps -- all the 12 laps, another

a Saturday. We are in four races he won last year, Singapore, venture

hunger is there. If you look at the last race in Singapore, he went

wheel to wheel with Nico Rosberg and second place would have been

story of yesterday. Neither McLaren made it into the top

ten but Jenson Button was out qualified by Sergio Perez. But said

he was held up by promoters of Kimi Raikkonen. Another strong weekend.

Who got both cars into the top ten. Esteban Gutierrez qualified in ninth

with Nico Hulkenberg one place in front. Another typical Saturday for

the Rory, they got into the top ten easily but Fernando Alonso could

only manage sixth-place -- for Ferrari. He will rely on one of his

lightning starts for the race. Mark Webber got a ten place grid penalty

this weekend, his Red Bull went into third, but that's now becomes 13th.

Once again, Romain Grosjean out qualified Kimi Raikkonen, he

qualified for the whale Kimi Raikkonen was tense, still his best

qualifying since Spa. -- 10th. Lewis Hamilton much like he could beat

Sebastian Vettel to pole position, but he was ill to tens of Sebastian

Vettel 's first and only flying lap. So Sebastian Vettel gets his sixth

pole position of the season but has Hamilton alongside. Romain Grosjean

is third and Mark Webber takes his templates penalty. The Sauber, Kimi

should not be difficult, they should be as motivated as every member of

the team. We have seen cases in the past way Kimi has lost sparkle in

qualifying but he always delivers in the race. -- were Kimi. Gary, what

do you think, how many stops? I think a two stop race because of the

front tyre wearing, it is not tyre degradation, but performance stays

stable but it wears out. You have to play it safe, it you cannot run the

tyres onto the canvas so I think a two stop race and maybe some threes

with cars that use the tyres too hard. Let's go over to the grid, we

are talking to the drivers. A great pole yesterday, a different

course, you have scenarios in your head but you know yourself you have

ideas and a plan but most of the time it comes differently. We will

see. Obviously, as you said, there is a long straight down to the

first corner -- turn four. We will try to have a good start and we will

take it as it comes. Jenson, it you start in 11th, how

differently are you approaching races this season when you are

looking for points instead of podiums? No different, it you do the

best you can and it is the same for every driver and every formula and

that -- and that does not change. What will be the secret to getting

points today? Drive as fast as we can, be intelligent and hopefully we

have the car sat upright. We can only go as quick as the car let us.

It will be good to get points but the important thing is to enjoy it.

You are looking chilled ahead of the Grand Prix, great qualifying in

seventh. Not bad, I hope we can repeat it. I feel confident and

comfortable in the car, I like this track, so I look forward. Any plans

in the rundown to these first straights? They may give you an

opportunity to make places. The first priority is to keep your nose

clean and hopefully we will have a good start and keep position and

went a bit, but it is very tight and you need a good run in turn three.

In the first two I was able to do that, so I hope again.

You qualified third and start 13th, what can you do today, is it about

points podiums? Grab what we can. We have everything we can in the bank

to clear as many people as we can in turns of how we set the car

Alonso followed through. Alonso is in a bit of trouble. Grosjean has

got second. And we have got chaos. Chaos at the third corner. Trying to

Incredible stuff, the battle continues between Kimi Raikkonen and

Hamilton. Fernando Alonso does not happen to be there. Felipe Massa had

to get well out of it into three. Fernando Alonso has dropped into

sixth place but it could be -- it could have been a lot worse.

Gutierrez has gone way down the field. He is down in 15th place. On

board with Lewis Hamilton. That is Grosjean ahead, so good start from

him. Hamilton trying to buy up the opposition. They do not get the rest

until a couple of laps so he will have to stay in the one second

window, Grosjean will be aware of trying to catch Sebastian Vettel and

breaking the slipstream of the Mercedes behind.

Look at Sebastian Vettel, he has launched himself onto this first lap

and he has opened up two seconds on that one.

Hulkenberg in fifth place, then Fernando Alonso and chased by Daniel

Ricciardo, who has had one of the best starts here. Kimi Raikkonen in

eighth place and Pastor Maldonado in ninth position so he came through

all that chaos extremely well. And he has moved into ninth place. TEAM

RADIO: Something to look out for... Damage on that Force India car.

Difficult with all of those car is being bunched up, but we can expect

to see him coming in. The engineers can look at the data that they can

get back at the Lane and they can work out exactly how much downforce

he is using in that Force India. Pastor Maldonado, up nine places

after that first lap and Gutierrez, you must feel for that Mexican, and

Van der Garde, in 15th place. That is pretty good. He is ahead of Toro

Rosso and both Williams cars. He has done very well. And Caterham will

hope they can get something out of this. They need 13th place or better

to me the head of Marussia in the Constructors' Championship. On-board

with Fernando Alonso. -- to get ahead of. He looks like he has got

some understeer on the car so lots of sterling through that apex. And

they will playing that waiting game. -- will be. Hulkenberg has been very

quick in the first sector. That was on Saturday and on race day, they

have 140 kilos of fuel on board so there is a massive difference. Mark

Webber did not really gain much I do that. He started in 13th place. We

shall see what happens but you can see that flap on the rear wing

opening up and it helps the straight-line speed but of course

the car in front has that as well so it does not make it any easier to

overtake. Behind with McLaren cars, Jenson Button in 10th place and his

team-mate in 11th place. We could hear that radio message, Adrian

Sutil can still follow the car in front as Mark Webber tries to take

Perez. Williams keep his vision. Yes, indeed. We have seen that move

in previous years. Hulkenberg made a very good move like that last year.

Can he get past the other McLaren of Jenson Button? He is in front of him

now. We are on lap three. The second lap, interestingly, Sebastian Vettel

did not open up much more over Grosjean. He did not run away from

him on that second lap. This is Kimi Raikkonen, in eighth place, chasing

Daniel Ricciardo, and they are both in the points. The Lotus is not as

fast in a straight line as the other cars. They did suffer in terms of

straight-line speed and that will make his life car. -- his life car.

TEAM RADIO there is front wing damage, it is not a problem. It is

just out of balance. Some understeer and he will hopefully be able to

live with that. We have seen Red Bull continuing with damage. I think

at this stage of the grand prix, these cars are so heavy and the

drivers have to just work with the cartoon balance it as sweetly as it

can be when the fuel starts to burn off. Kimi Raikkonen alongside

Ricciardo, trying to go along the outside, and side-by-side, they are.

Ricciardo is on the harder compound. He has the slipstream but this is

not a DRS straight. That was a very mature display from Daniel. It would

have been easy for him to brush wheels with him but he left in space

and he came back, did not quite have the pace this time. TEAM RADIO: We

need to rocks this lap. It is the front wing. They are getting get her

back. They are looking at this. They have decided they are not happy and

Mark Webber will be released. That will put him into 10th place. You

cannot see the damage so much, the data will not be lying, of course.

But this just five or six laps early and if he could hang on, that could

have worked into the two stop strategy for this afternoon. Yes,

and apparently it is affecting the brake temperatures. It may not just

be a loss of downforce, but his brakes are being -- are really

cooking. Some carbon might have gone brakes are being -- are really

to side, in terms of grip on that first corner. Otherwise, that is a

very clean run through the first two corners and later on, it started to

just has to get out of that as he comes out of turn number one and

that has really lost him momentum. Kimi Raikkonen... That is a very

it gets messy. Felipe Massa down the inside, it will not happen with

Mercedes, and Alonso has to go wide. You can see the damage. The front

wing of McLaren, on-board with Grosjean. He gets that inside line.

Into that slipstream. And he manages to keep things together into turn

number three. Look for Felipe Massa spelling. How close can you get?

That was so close for both Ferrari spelling. How close can you get?

cars, taking each other out. Thermal imaging with Jenson Button... He was

unlucky, there. Some avoiding action from the car in front. Just one of

those racing incidents, unfortunately. He has not had much

luck, he only got that far last year. He was hit by could be a went

out of the race on that occasion. -- he was hit by Kamui Kobayashi. We

are looking further down. Pastor Maldonado coming through, nine

are looking further down. Pastor places of Williams but Mark Webber

is behind him with a much faster Red Bull. Expect to see Mark Webber

getting into that slipstream. He is going to defence of already, but he

is not allowed to weave and changed election. Lewis Hamilton was

penalised for that in Malaysia. -- change direction. I think if he did

too much weaving, the stewards would have had a look at that. Maldonado,

heading for the pits. Coming in relatively early. He was told he has

to keep his tyres on for a long time so they will stick to two stops at

Force India. That is relatively early. They wanted to get to lap

number 11 before making the initial pit stop. We still have Hulkenberg

followed by an alonso and Kimi Raikkonen and then Ricciardo, Perez

is holding light in 10th place. Fernando Alonso locked up and went

very wide. That has cost them some time relative to Gutierrez. This is

Mark Webber. Daniel Ricciardo, I believe. That was a huge oversteer.

Hamilton has got the DRM. That gives him a chance. He is going to go for

it down the inside. There is still another opportunity for Hamilton on

this next straight towards turn four. Grosjean holds tight to the

left-hand side. Hamilton is forced to go to the outside. He tries to

open the gap but Grosjean is not happening. A cutback from Hamilton.

Fabulous racing between Grosjean and Hamilton. And for the moment, the

Frenchman is holding of the Mercedes of Hamilton. That should he is not

because they are into the twists and turns. Great defensive driving from

Grosjean. He was holding the inside line and that left Hamilton no

choice but to make his move. You have to use the momentum from the

slipstream, you cannot wait for him to pole over in the braking zone. --

to all over. Grosjean showing maturity in this second half of the

season. It is lap 11 and here comes Sebastian Vettel and it is looking

strong again for the championship leader. Red Bull go to work. No

problems in the pit stop. The medium compound tyres go on and everybody

has switched to those. Kimi Raikkonen is coming in for Lotus.

Kimi Raikkonen is making progress, he started in ninth place, then 13th

to third in Singapore. Hamilton has set fastest lap despite that a link

with Grosjean and Grosjean has come out ahead of Daniel Ricardo. --

Daniel Ricciardo. But he is under pressure for position. Grosjean

should do this relatively easily and he does. Daniel Ricciardo going

deeper. And he is on the medium compound tyres he started on rather

than the super-soft tyres everybody else began on. Grosjean has closed

the gap around the pit stop so the extra lap Sebastian Vettel has done

has cost him a bit of lap time. Look at this, this is Paul di Resta and

Sergio Perez. Let's see what happened here.

It down into turn four, and Perez is trying to give him into the squeeze

but he is hanging in. I do not think Paul will be happy about that

because Perez, I do not think you can do that, you let your car run

wider than it needs to go to make it clear you do not want anybody

thinking there is a way past. Perez, earlier in the season, was accused

by drivers including his team-mate of being over aggressive. Some

drivers have taken exception, Mark Webber not impressed and said, how

super-soft tyre and made them last well. Let's see how it works. Coming

into the pits later is not necessarily to your advantage and he

has been coming through traffic. Rosberg going across the finished

Hulkenberg and Fernando Alonso. He will come out in front of Jean-Eric

Vergne, and he comes out in ninth place. And that means he is playing

games and Kimi Raikkonen will be his next target. Kimi Raikkonen trying

to close up to Fernando Alonso and Nico Hulkenberg who has more

pressure on him in the Sauber. He is now in sixth place. Mark Webber is

in ninth position, Jenson Button is tense. Pastor Maldonado in 11th

place, he has dropped to 11th. Further back, we have another

incident being investigated involving cars six and 14, that is

Sergio Perez and Paul di Resta. Forcing another driver of the track

is what they have typed into the message. The stewards have decided

to look at the actions of Perez. The drivers' steward is weekend is

Immanuel. He has been a steward on quite if you occasions. -- quite a

couple -- on a couple of occasions. He is a very fair steward. So now

that the first flurry of pit stops has been made, Sebastian Vettel

leads the race by 2.7 seconds, seven seconds of a Grosjean. So it is

virtually the same gap as it was before the pit stop. We are still

waiting for Daniel Ricciardo because he started the race on the harder

tyres so he is in fourth. Nico Rosberg is in fifth, Nico Hulkenberg

is fixed, Fernando Alonso is in seventh, and hounding of the Sauber

now. Both using a Ferrari engine. Fernando runs too wide. An unusual

assume he was distracted by an adjustment he was making in the

cockpit. That will have cost him the meant in turn three. The Ferrari

does not look to be performing better on medium tyres. And Hamilton

is keeping Grosjean tested in this part of the Grand Prix. Changes in

anybody to use the super-soft again this afternoon although it does have

an offset in outright performance, it does not hold as well as prime

tyres. Let's take a look, did he pick up understeer? Did he miss his

turning point? His hand was high in the cockpit. Whatever it was, it was

rubber is starting to collect. They made a comment about that yesterday.

Moaning a bit about these Pirelli tyres and saying they did not hold

together for one lap of qualifying because they were going off and they

were throwing of a lot more than some of the other tyres used in

Formula 1. He has been moaning about a couple of things this year and

Pirelli certainly got the attention yesterday. Frustration is coming

into his racing. He is a double world champion and the Farida

dream... He has certainly informed expections -- exceptionally well but

has not delivered that championship. Sebastian Vettel reading now by 3.2

seconds. Let's listen. The gap is good, focus on stick

length. In other words, look after those tyres. Daniel Ricciardo, we

have got to lap 15, how many labs will he be able to go before he

comes in? They are all on medium tyres so they will look at him to

see how consistent his lap times. I think he can do 20, he has to do

that if the other guys have one more stop. He still has Nico Hulkenberg

and Fernando Alonso, and Alonso is throwing himself into this battle.

A couple of mistakes. Nico Hulkenberg in the Sauber has a

quarter of the budget. But he has not done too bad at the moment, he

Sauber have made such a weak. Doing a fantastic job over the last few

Sebastian Vettel reading. Grosjean in second place in the Lotus,

Hamilton has had a quiet race in third place, unable to get past

Grosjean after the pit stop. Still doing a collapse in turns of speed

but he is being caught by Nico Rosberg on newer sets of tyres. The

race for sixth place between Nico Hulkenberg, Fernando Alonso and Mark

Webber. Daniel Ricciardo is in a difficult face because he will be

He will not have done any damage, he managed to release the pressure from

the brake pedal. Mark Webber is still looking after his tyres, he

does not want to get too close to the back of these guys straightaway.

Behind them, we still have Jenson Button in 10th place, then Perez and

a replay of Sebastian Vettel. TEAM RADIO: You were quick in the middle

sector, be careful not to abuse your tyres. He seems to be totally in

have you got? I am just pandering what Daniel Ricciardo 's strategy

was. Let's just look back. One driver did one-stop blaster, Pastor

Maldonado. He beat his team-mate, Bruno Senna. And last it was just

has just gone into the pit lane. He kicked off the last as he came in.

He is making his way down the pit lane. That brings Hulkenberg up to

fifth place. -- kicked off the dust. He will come out around where Paul

di Resta is at this stage of the grand prix. Gutierrez and Labour

masses still in that little group. Done in 15th position. -- Felipe

Massa. Ricciardo will come out in 13th place, as it looks at the

moment. No change between Hulkenberg and Kimi Raikkonen. We have seen

Hulkenberg leading before, famously in Brazil last year. In these

positions, he never looks phased? He is a great driver. He has just never

had the car destroyed his -- to show his strengths. He is keeping all of

those race winners lined up behind him. Fernando Alonso, double

champion, and Kimi Raikkonen and Mark Webber is a multiple race

winner. He was bailing on that number 19 because was it a gin being

removed from his car. It looks like that back row it was an ex-pigeon.

That might be one of the reasons they stopped trying to do one stop

this afternoon. Kimi Raikkonen has been told to change some of the

settings on his KERS. Hopefully that is not an ongoing problem with him.

That energy recovery boost certainly helps with overtaking. Fernando

Alonso still watching the rear wing and gearbox of the Sauber ahead. He

is getting closer. He goes to the outside. And Hulkenberg, just that

little wobble to keep you guessing. There was no chance. Fernando Alonso

used all of his KERS on the rundown. Starting to hustle at the back of

that server. Kimi Raikkonen is not far behind. Can he take advantage?

That incident earlier will be investigated after the race. We will

not see any penalties for Perez or Paul di Resta. Hulkenberg just

fending off Fernando Alonso. TEAM RADIO: Fernando Alonso 's training

has just cleared and expect yours to do the same. How does that work?

Those marbles you mention, that they have been complaining about, it is

like a razor on paper, if you rub it across, you start to deposit its of

rubber and it goes across the surface of the tyres. In the

direction of the load. And it gets to the end of the surface and then

turns off, just like a marble. During that, you are just running

around on the surface and you can see the graining very clearly with

Hulkenberg. One such claims, it is just allowing more contact and that

reduces your understeer and allows you to push harder. You can see that

clearly on Kimi Raikkonen 's car as well. Yes, that darker ban. All

those cars have a little bit of graining, at least. It is coming

from those Pirelli tyres. As you move, it becomes more difficult to

contain surface temperature because there is less rubber there. Less

death. -- death. -- depth. The team principal at Sauber. She has got

Hulkenberg holding on to fit case. TEAM RADIO: It is too early. There

could be graining. He is being told that his grip might come back. We

were hearing that Kimi Raikkonen is being told his KERS battery is not

being charged. So he will have that deficit, that is about the

performance you gain from having fully usable KERS. In qualifying the

crucial because Mercedes are trying to get back into second place, ahead

of Ferrari. The gap is only seven points so Mercedes looking good at

struggling on the exit of the turn. Turn six. TEAM RADIO: It looks like

others have got through this graining phase and then it cleans

up. Quite a clear message from the driver, he is not happy with his

tyres. The team will want him to try and stay out. Incomes Kimi

after those tyres. They are using that strategy to get him out on a

clear piece of tarmac and hope that he can go all the way to the end

because loaders tends to be able to look after their tyres better than

Alonso. They will have to push because he is going to come out

behind Ricciardo. Yes, Kimi Raikkonen rejoins in 10th place.

up to third because he had not stopped where is some of those

around him have. Let's see where this rings him. And Perez has been

able to move up because he has not made a second pit stop. We are still

making for Sebastian Vettel and Grosjean. And Perez has gone wide

and that has allowed Kimi Raikkonen to get past him. Perez is under

the right front tyre. He has lost the tread. He is still going. We

have not seen this since the British Grand Prix. He needs to slow down,

that tyre has no tread. It is completely wrecked and it has ruined

some of the bodywork. Safety car has been deployed, and this changes

things. Sebastian Vettel and Grosjean will come out on the slap

and it will not affect the lead too much. -- on this lap. Read all were

lucky because they had time to react. -- Red Bull. Was that because

of the delamination? Did he hit it at the point where the tyre is

bonded together or did he have a puncture? And that compound it as he

went through speed down turn two. He did 20 laps so it was 80 -- a long

has rolled off the tyre. The tyre already has delamination as he went

hole in the tyre and he said if you do 21 laps and a massive lock-up,

you will get a hole in the carcass. An update from Mark Webber, he had a

puncture which is why he came straight back in, caused by the

daybreak from the blow out on the tyre of Perez. -- the degree. The

safety car is coming into the pits, this race will be restarted. In the

side-by-side with Hamilton. He gets in front of the Mercedes. Adrian

Sutil hits Mark Webber! He hits the Red Bull of Mark Webber and the

Australian 's day goes from bad to worse. He is still running, Hamilton

and Alonso go side-by-side and Hamilton fends off the Spaniard. I

thought Red Bull was OK but Mark Webber is out of this grunge brief.

Two retirements in dramatic fashion in successive events and I hope they

can get fire extinguishers to that car or it will be very expensive.

How close did he manage to stop next to a martial 's post? Normally there

are markings telling you where to whole over but there is no martial

coming over to that car. One week until Japan to get the car. That has

gone. With that sort of heat, if that makes its way forward to the

bodywork. Very unusual to see a fire fire extinguishers under the

anything and decides to bail out and park the car there. This is raping

and Grosjean who makes a late move. -- this is Kimi Raikkonen. And he

makes it stick. He did it before the safety car was announced. Getting

ready for another restart. We have had two safety cars within a short

distance and they have cleared away Mark Webber 's car and Sebastian

Webber were once -- and Sebastian Vettel were once again dictate. Kimi

Raikkonen made a move on his team-mate, and straightaway, he does

not lose as much ground as Grosjean did on the original restart. He is

into the corner and Fernando has to watch out because there is Jenson

Button. Another chance towards turn four, will he shut the door on

Hamilton? Yes, he well, but he has left a gap and Hamilton says, thank

you, I will take that gap! He has just about got it and Fernando

Alonso will come back. I am surprised he left the door open.

Rates stuff, but Fernando Alonso has just shown a bit too much caution

with Hamilton there. That is a tough call. Gary, we have seen all sorts

of action, in turns of the fire on Mark Webber 's car, that team has

little time to get the car ready for next week so that is a real concern

for Red Bull. Fired just destroys everything. We

have the race to the flag and everybody has done their stops and

the safety car is have given them everybody has done their stops and

time to let up on their tyres so they will hopefully not struggle

Hulkenberg has shown great speed, very high top speed in that sector.

Lewis Hamilton has to get position and keep within that window for the

advantage of DRS. Just exiting turn number 15. As we know, that is

slippery on the fast -- straight line. This will not be easy for

Lewis Hamilton. He is lining himself up. He gets tucked in behind, DRS is

enabled. Can Hamilton pick up the slipstream? His flap opens.

Hulkenberg gets that great drive from turn number one. That leaves

Hamilton with a lot to do with braking. He has slightly overcooked

it. That will leave him in a very difficult position towards number

four. Hulkenberg hanging in, and that is a great drive from Nico

Hulkenberg this afternoon. Rear end instability was a problem but there

is no sign of that? Looking very solid on his brakes. Congratulations

to Sauber for turning around a car that was not on the pace earlier

this year. Other teams really do not seem to have been able to make that

kind of progress this season. Jenson Button running in second place so

points are possible for Jenson Button but he still has to improve

on the best finish this season, which is fifth place. Interesting to

see this battle between Kimi which is fifth place. Interesting to

Raikkonen and Grosjean, his tyres have done 26: It is less driving but

most of that was with the safety car is. That will help Kimi Raikkonen

just a little bit but they have been on his car a bit longer and Grosjean

must be thinking, I have beat him for the last five races in

qualifying but he seems to just keep finding his way forward. He has had

a couple of real comebacks. Second and third going through. Sliding

from Hamilton. And that allows Hulkenberg... The DRS will open.

That is the line but he is just too far back. It looks like Sauber are

just hitting their sweet spot in setting this car up. Great effort

from that team, no doubt about that. Felipe Massa in 12th place. Perez

hit his rear wheel. Felipe Massa is certainly not happy. Daniel

Ricciardo is running in ninth place. Then Pastor Maldonado and

interestingly, Gutierrez... He has just dropped back. Felipe Massa has

gained a little bit. Underneath those big gantries of the mighty

shipyards from this part of South Korea. Can he stay in the top ten?

He has got Gutierrez bearing down on him and the other Sauber. TEAM

RADIO: You are just racing him. Racing him. No team orders from

Lotus. Earlier in the year, Kimi Raikkonen had a chance of winning

the title but that has gone so it is just up to the drivers to sort

things out. And all the time, Hamilton is trying to get underneath

the gearbox of the Sauber. Hamilton is going for it? No, he is not.

Watch him coming here. Look at how good the driving is on that Sauber.

An amazing, incredible. Just so fast from the corner. Lewis Hamilton

being told to take things easy on sector number two to save the tyres

for the end of the race. He is just not close enough. Again, not close

enough. You wonder if he has a problem with his car. Gutierrez, on

Maldonado, side-by-side for 10th place. He has to give his place up,

anyway. And Gutierrez takes 10th place. Perez, no comment here comes

Maldonado... There was contact between Ferrari and McLaren. They

might do this again. Felipe Massa just fending off McLaren. And then

what has at the back of the group. -- Bothas. This is great stuff. Look

at Gutierrez! What an opportunist piece of overtaking that was! Great

piece of driving but one step forward and one step back. He has to

overtake a Ferrari. Maldonado has dropped to the back, passed by his

team-mate. From leading this group, he is now at the very back in 14th

place. Overcome with emotion. Back with Hamilton. Again, not quite

there. Watch this corner. Hulkenberg could be using all of his KERS.

Strategically giving him that extra horsepower. Hamilton is coming quite

late. He is closer than he has been. He will have a look. Hulkenberg,

again, very late on his brakes. Hamilton has got to match Hulkenberg

in the Sauber. Felipe Massa in 10th place, in the points. We saw both

Mexicans side-by-side in Singapore and we might again in a moment.

Behind them, the Williams of Valtteri Bottas. He can take his

line and he has gone in front of Sauber. That was a very nice, tidy

pass. Let's look at some of this, David. It was all happening. There

are a coming together with Perez, entering the corner, Maldonado going

wide. And it all continues. -- Ferrari coming together. Contact

between Ferrari and McLaren. Very thinking about going around the

outside and that is what allowed Perez to come back. And in the end,

Maldonado has come of that corner, he can see his team-mate. This is

when Gutierrez made this move down the inside. Felipe Massa takes full

Going down the start-finish. He is trying to cut back. Closer than at

any point he has been earlier. This is his chance. Hulkenberg will need

to keep to the right hand side to try to defend. Too late? Hamilton

has to go to the outside. Hulkenberg has locked up. Fernando Alonso

trying to join in. Sorry, they have both used up all of their KERS.

struggling. I think Lewis would like to get him back. Fernando Alonso is

that he was losing downforce? I did not catch that. He said he was

struggling and he cannot race the way he wants. Interesting that his

team are urging him on, isn't it? Hulkenberg and Hamilton. Look how

close ears as he runs to the apex. He just cannot get the drive from

that corner. And Hamilton has Fernando Alonso behind. -- close he

is. And Nico Rosberg there. And again, Hulkenberg candid take the

line into turn number three with that little lock up from Hamilton,

if anything. And back towards number four. Trying to work out when to use

their KERS to best effect. So far, Hulkenberg is hanging in there.

Forward position. This would be his best finish of the year for Sauber.

If he can hold on. We can see that incident between Felipe Massa and

Perez will be investigated. Another one to deal with. It will be a very

long night in Korea. We are enjoying an extremely entertaining race and

Sebastian Vettel looks like he is well on his way to taking victory at

what entertainment we have enjoyed behind him. It has not been looking

easy for Sebastian Vettel. I think he has controlled that gap but he

still has to look after his tyres all the way to the chequered flag.

TEAM RADIO: The same as last year. Still opening up? That is

uninteresting expression. That is an expression for graining. They are

losing track contact. Hamilton does get so close behind the Sauber, he

loses some front end through the corner. He will lose front end. But

he is a very good racer and he is working with the tools that he has

got and for whatever reason, Mercedes is not delivering out of

that slightly awkward turn. And the key this afternoon to this great

drive from Hulkenberg has been first sector pace. Great display under

pressure. It sounds like they have just joined his fan Club but this is

impressive. TEAM RADIO: The nose will be hired but pool the car to

the right-hand side where you can. Would that we brake temperature?

Could be the tyres. Front right. Andy clockwise circuit. Lots of

energy going into that right-hand side. Not getting that same airflow

over the car. Adrian Sutil is in, I wonder if they are retiring the car

because of the incident before? He wonder if they are retiring the car

will still be classified, I think. Classified last. We have only lost

two cars, they were Paul di Resta who appeared to crash out of the

race, and Mark Webber, who went out as a result of being hit by the

other Force India. The car caught fire and another of retirement for

Mark Webber along with the one he had in Singapore. Lewis Hamilton is

almost pushing him round the first corner and it still does not seem to

work for him. Any closer, you would need a bucket of water to separate

them. They keep the gap into turn three. Rosberg still not able to

close up more on Jenson Button. Button holding on to seventh place.

Rosberg is a little closer but it does not look like he will find a

that because we heard the team pushing Grosjean to overtake his

team-mate. A couple of things to look at, but it is still the race

for fourth and second. Lotus for a double podium. I am surprised they

did not say, settle for second and third. They have clearly fallen out

of love with Kimi Raikkonen who has signed to Ferrari and they want to

build the confidence of Grosjean and show him as a team leader.

Sebastian, be careful, we need to finish this race.

He wants another grand slam, Sebastian Vettel. He wants to take

the proposition. And Riccardo is out from what was 10th place. De she

wants to take the podium. He is out for Toro Rosso. It moves Perez up

into 10th position as a result. That is Nico Rosberg in seventh, having

got past Jenson Button. Felipe Massa is in ninth and Sergio Perez is up

to 10th. Grosjean is in 0.7 seconds of Kimi Raikkonen, in the DRS zone,

so could he do it on the last lap Western Mark there could be a change

Hulkenberg hold on for fourth place? And the gap between the Lotus

pairing was 0.7 seconds. Nico Hulkenberg out across. The last

outside but he is surely too wide to get a run on the Mercedes which is

struggling for a lap of grip and dropping away from Nico Hulkenberg.

These two have not finished their own battle. They have pulled away

from Nico Rosberg. Button has dropped back but is still in eighth

place. Here comes Sebastian Vettel. David, behind him, it has been

happening. He has again been supreme in front. A fantastic drive, minute

performance all weekend. He is a man at one with his car and there will

be a lot of good stories this afternoon. Sebastian Vettel wins in

Korea again! He takes victory at this track and second goes to Kimi

Raikkonen, Grosjean could not beat his team-mate. Lotus score a double

podium, a billion today for Lotus as Red Bull take maximum points for

Sebastian Vettel but get a non-finish for the other car. An

eco-Holcombe Berg has held on despite massive pressure from Lewis

Hamilton. That was surely the driver of the race! He finishes fourth in

the Sauber and Hamilton has to settle for fifth. Alonso sixth, no

podium for the Ferrari. Rosberg in seventh, Jenson Button in eighth,

Felipe Massa in ninth and the final point goes to Sergio Perez in 10th

place. What a race! Behind Sebastian Vettel. It was very enjoyable to

watch. Well done, that was a very

disciplined Drive, well done. Tricky, but well done.

Yes! I do not want to stop! Very smooth, very smooth. Thank you,

guys. Thank you, yes! So the result of the Korean Grand

Prix, Sebastian Vettel winning by a narrower margin than in Singapore. A

double podium for Lotus. The best result of the season for Sauber,

ahead of Hamilton in fifth. And Rosberg who suffered that front nose

wing failure is in seventh. Both McLaren cars in the points.

smile on the podium, please. I wonder what was going on. Grosjean

was not happy he was waste that she was racing wheel to wheel with Kimi

Raikkonen. -- he was not happy that he was racing. He had his engineer

telling him, you are racing, you can pass him, to get the best results

possible. Time for the champagne and a little touching note, it is 40

years to the day since French Formula 1 driver Francois Cevert was

killed and we have a Frenchman on the podium here in Korea. So a nice

touch for the team-mate of -- so a nice thought. Francois Cevert was a

team-mate to Sir Jackie Stewart. So Sebastian Vettel has big smiles

after taking another victory, I wonder if anybody will stop him

winning in Asia this year. He seems to dominate all these races.

Sebastian, well done, a very measured drive and it must be tricky

to have to restart the race twice. Yes, I think my second restart was

not as good as the first. Kimi was quite good. He got a bit closer than

Grosjean. But fortunately, I still managed to pull away and a very

strong first corner and strong exit because after that, the straights

are very long especially if you are the first car. You have nobody in

front so it is quite... Yes. The sound you get from the engine it

suffers down the straight, it does not accelerate and you can see the

guys close again in the mirror. Probably the best start of the

season, you aren't launched everybody into the first corner.

Yes, we had a phenomenal start. I did not have to cover the inside and

could focus on the first turn. I was well protected for the back

straight. But the group is high here and we had a very strong start. You

can see Lewis is in trouble, and we are closing a lot in the last couple

of metres before raking in to turn three. I saw they were fighting each

other and from here, I benefited. I had a bit of KERS left just in case

and I was safe for the first lap. The work is not over after the Grand

Prix, you have to go away for the team talk now.

Well done, a step closer to the fourth prize. Christian, we will

talk you in a minute, let's hear from Mark Webber who did not have a

good day today. On the restart, I was looking for a

big exit on the next straight to use a lot of KERS on the Williams.

Adrian Sutil, I do not know what happened. He hit me from the inside.

But before that, I was very happy with how I drove. I got back to

where was a very good position. We had a Pirelli tyre failure on the

car of Perez. I was lucky to miss the tread and unbelievably, I

managed to get a puncture going through that. That is the most

disappointing thing today, you do everything you can and we get a

puncture in the race. Another podium chance gone, like

your garage. He was very unlucky, he drove fantastically well. He would

have been on the podium for second and third. But he picks up a

puncture being first on the scene behind Perez and as you can see, he

that might be needed, looking at that damage, but it will make it a

very busy week. Not even a week because you have that travel in

between? We have to get all of this equipment over and the boys have to

build a completely new car. That is what they are fantastic at and they

work so hard and I am sure we will have that car in tiptop condition

for Friday morning. It does bring you closer to the fourth

Championship for Sebastian Vettel. Are you thinking about that?

Absolutely not, we are in a great position and we shall have to try

quite hard to screw things up! But that can all this happened. And

motor racing can ebb and flow and we have seen that so many times in

history. Things change. There are 125 points still available with 77

in the lead. We take nothing for granted. It is mathematically

possible. We are not focused on that. Nico Hulkenberg, driver of the

day. Spectacular driving today. I didn't know how you managed to get

Lewis Hamilton behind you for so long? Thank you very much, very

demanding race. I was not allowed to make one mistake. Today was one of

those days were we had an opportunity to shine. And we grabbed

that. But we really punched above our weight. We should not be up with

these cars in terms of pace but we had strong points like traction and

top speed and that was the recipe had strong points like traction and

was naturally concerned when he was think you would be coming back? I

close with turn number one. He had DRS already but I knew I had to make

sure that I could get a very good exit and I could get him back. And

like traction today was really my strongest point with the car.

Combined with great top speed. You could see him struggling with

oversteer and I could really mail the power there. The team did a

fantastic job. We enjoyed that radio banter! Coming out with some

conversation about people slipping on bananas. And was Hamilton was

asking for any suggestions to find some way past due. He said your

traction was unbelievable! What was that set up? I am not sure, really.

We started with the same configurations all weekend and women

knew it would stay dry, the decision was made and we have not braced for

a while and we came back with those upgrades and suddenly it works quite

well. Is it an attractive opposition to maybe stay at Sauber? Maybe yes,

maybe no. For now, I just want to enjoy this race and the future will

come. Well done today. My battle with Hamilton was strong and the

pace was very good at the end. We wanted to go for a very long stints

to make them react but the safety car came out and that was more bad

luck. Viewers were hiding behind the questions as you and Kimi Raikkonen

got very close. Tell us about that moved out was it sporting? I think

it was all right. I made a mistake on turn 15 and that was my fault. I

slept and went on to the Astroturf. I think I could have kept one place

back but it was bad luck. At the stake did cost him dearly but he did

have a brilliant start? He was able to hook that car up nicely. Lewis

Hamilton holds position into that rigging zone but the decision

strategically is not to use KERS for the first corner but deploy it on

this very long back straight. And they get the impression that is

exactly what he did. DRS was not available on the first couple of

But Kimi Raikkonen pulls to the left and Grosjean starts to come along

and the code of conduct is you make your move before what the car behind

does to avoid any chance of contact. Let us hear from him. The place

really started was not too bad but we wanted to be in first place and

there was no chance today. Was that we wanted to be in first place and

a sporting gesture? I was next to him. I made a mistake. We did not

touch, so it was OK. Listening to your team radio, that would hint at

some frustrations? No, I was just trying to point things out. That is

a type of language I sometimes use. My tyre was dead and I was turning

and nothing was happening and I was three seconds slower than Nico

Rosberg behind me. It was difficult and there was nothing I could do, I

just had to go to a certain target, which was really unfortunate so I

lost a lot of ground. And in that last stint, there was nothing I

could do. I was not quick on the straight. The other guys were just

cruising past me. It was difficult because we were very competitive in

terms of the middle sector, which was really strong. But first and

last was iffy. Massively disappointing and they said they

last was iffy. Massively would bring Lewis in on that lap

where Nico Rosberg 's nose dropped. Why do they not just let Lewis

Hamilton go past and? There will be a number of questions at that

debriefing and Nico Rosberg was a number of questions at that

losing time with a damaged nose. And while that, Lewis Hamilton was

losing time and it would desperately trying to get into that stop lap but

when you can see the wing filling and dragging on the ground, clearly

losing a lot of time, then I would have thought that he would have

losing a lot of time, then I would instinctively that his team-mate go.

Even if they had stopped them at the same time and changed position in

the pit lane, they would have only had Lewis Hamilton stopping for

three seconds. With that knows change, they lost a sizeable chunk

three seconds. With that knows of time. People at home would have

been screaming at the telly, move over and let Lewis Hamilton through!

And he had that Riddick rattle with Nico Rosberg and that is no

consolation for not being on the podium? I think that was a podium

position lost and that was a great drive from Hulkenberg to defend. Are

you still fighting for the Drivers' Championship this season? It is a

very low priority. At the moment. If by luck or different circumstances

we have a possibility in Brazil, we will see, but it does not look like

that at the moment. The gap in the points, it is more performance. We

will not give up, we will try to do our best every race. But second in

the Constructors' Target Chip is more realistic for a target. We are

very close to Mercedes. Talking about the Constructors' Target Chip,

they were off the pace today? They have an argument? He was

disappointed to have this deficit with the pace of Red Bull. His

customary starts and I him to get again and had a chance for the

podium but this afternoon, very lucky not to go out at the start of

might think, but was lucky. We can hear from Pirelli. We can confirm

that there was a very big lock up and at the end of it, that was

leaving little on the surface but it burned right the way through. Very

aggressive flat spot. Not what you would normally get, just surface

indentation. Are you surprised that they did 21 laps? 20 laps was where

we thought they would be at that particular stage with that fuel

load. It was at the limit. Some of the drivers have been quite

outspoken about the tyres again this weekend and Fernando Alonso and Mark

Webber had if you words with you. They said that drivers don't matter

any more? I would not say they don't matter any more, that is a very

strange comment. He obviously was behind Perez so he could see

something and he wanted to understand. We were able to explain

that. And to very valid opinions. What do you think? You have to

listen to those drivers, they have experience with other tyre

Manufacturer 's under the drivers are complaining and we are seeing

failures, there is clearly an issue. Safety has to come first? And

Pirelli would put that as their priority and in trying to satisfy

the desire to have multi-stop races, we are seeing too many fingers.

There were so many moments in today's race, what about that moment

when Lotus could see that fire truck? Those team-mates going at it,

Grosjean but he would come back on that run down but the yellow flag is

eyed, we have that safety truck on the circuit without the safety car

being out there. There was clearly some breakdown into medication and

we can see this great apple with Maldonado working his way up into

the points. -- battle. And McLaren, Maldonado working his way up into

all just too strong. And in the end, after all of this had sorted itself

out, he was behind his team-mate, Valtteri Bottas. Fantastic action on

the track. That has confirmed the results for you. Sebastian Vettel,

25 points. He edges closer to his fourth title. Kimi Raikkonen,

terrific drive. Romain Grosjean also on the podium. And what about that

terrific drive. Romain Grosjean also driving from Nico Hulkenberg? So,

the standings look like this. It is mathematically possible

upset their plan, but unlikely. Lewis Hamilton drops down by six

points into fourth place. In terms of the Constructors' Championship,

Red Bull still dominating. Sauber moving ahead of Toro Rosso. Was that

your race of the season so far? It was certainly great, we thought we

would be in the situation of watching Sebastian Vettel runaway

but the safety car is and some great battling from other drivers gave us

some excitement and Hulkenberg would agree that it was all for him in

fourth place. He did signed ready confident about his future. We shall
