Bit Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open has become a very

:00:34.:00:38.

important part are links golf fortnight in the men's event coming

:00:39.:00:42.

before the open 's championship at Hoylake this year. No fewer than 24

:00:43.:00:48.

the top 60 in the world have beaten the path to the Granite city of

:00:49.:00:53.

Aberdeen trying to win one of the great titles in the home of golf,

:00:54.:00:56.

Scotland, and trying to find during their links form and, for three of

:00:57.:01:03.

them, the chance to claim the last remaining spots in the open itself.

:01:04.:01:06.

For the last three years the men who have lifted the Claret jug have all

:01:07.:01:09.

featured strongly in the Scottish Open. Phil Mickelson winning

:01:10.:01:15.

back-to-back titles last year. The event this year and Aberdeen was

:01:16.:01:20.

dominated by Rory McIlroy, whose tribulations and trials, and

:01:21.:01:27.

opening-day 64 followed by a 78. So the young man from Northern Ireland

:01:28.:01:31.

would find themselves some six shots off the pace coming into round

:01:32.:01:35.

three. This is how the leaderboard looks.

:01:36.:01:40.

Three players on 6-under par. Justin Rose is just one shot off the pace.

:01:41.:01:49.

Let's enjoy around three in the company of our commentary team.

:01:50.:02:01.

Some great conditions today. Phil Mickelson. He just had a birdie and

:02:02.:02:19.

an eagle to get him to two on the for the day. -- 2-under. Only three

:02:20.:02:28.

behind. So many things can happen today. Robert Karlsson and Rory

:02:29.:02:39.

Mcilroy playing together on the 13th. Robert Karlsson back playing

:02:40.:02:50.

in Europe. He was forced last week in France. He has had a couple of

:02:51.:02:56.

top-10 finishes recently. Coming into some very good form. And the

:02:57.:03:03.

leaderboard proves that. Probably had the best back-to-back weeks of

:03:04.:03:08.

his career this time last year when he won this championship at Castle

:03:09.:03:12.

Stuart in Inverness, followed by winning the opener at Muirfield. He

:03:13.:03:18.

is a man of many talents. He goes for birdie on nine. That's OK.

:03:19.:03:40.

3-under for the championship, only three behind. Back to Robert

:03:41.:03:43.

Karlsson at 13. Magnificent putt from Robert

:03:44.:04:00.

Karlsson. That puts 6-under, tied at the top. The former European number

:04:01.:04:16.

one. Luke Donald dropped a shot at the first and is now at the par-5

:04:17.:04:17.

second hole. Not the longest hitter in the green

:04:18.:04:36.

but even he makes the green in two shots downwind.

:04:37.:04:49.

Three birdies and no bogeys so far. That is an excellent shot. The man

:04:50.:05:01.

named after Tom Watson. This, for an eagle at the second from the Donald.

:05:02.:05:13.

Back to the first green, Shane Lowry, to convert the birdie. It is

:05:14.:05:24.

almost a bonus if you can get a birdie on this first hole because

:05:25.:05:29.

you then have the downwind par-5 second coming up. What they start

:05:30.:05:34.

for Shane Lowry. That was only the second birdie of the day at the

:05:35.:05:38.

opening hole. It is the hardest hole on the course, the first. This is

:05:39.:05:46.

Robert Karlsson's fourth shot, the second, left of the green. This was

:05:47.:05:52.

not easy. He has played it well, but that will be for a bogey, the

:05:53.:06:03.

tournament leader, one of four. Lewis looking to get to 4-under for

:06:04.:06:08.

the day and that there is a great putt from Tom Lewis, getting 5-under

:06:09.:06:20.

par, one shot behind. The thing about moving day is that you can

:06:21.:06:29.

move in two directions, up and down. And Robert Karlsson, having just got

:06:30.:06:35.

into a share of the lead immediately drops back out again. And then there

:06:36.:06:50.

were three. Marc Warren, Kristoffer Broberg and Ricardo Gonzalez out on

:06:51.:06:55.

their own, Tom Lewis climbing to within one shot. Craig Lee going

:06:56.:07:08.

well, the Scot. This is for birdie. It should break at the end. That is

:07:09.:07:20.

an excellent start. That is incredible. 4-under and he has only

:07:21.:07:31.

had four birdies. That is very steady golf on a links course. He is

:07:32.:07:44.

earlier in round three than he would normally be and would want to be but

:07:45.:07:50.

that is a wonderful shot from Rory. That was a huge drive. Just flipping

:07:51.:07:59.

that onto the green. Rickie Fowler with a lovely pics to 12, the par-5.

:08:00.:08:07.

-- lovely pitch. Ladies and gentlemen this is the

:08:08.:08:21.

final game this afternoon. From Scotland, Marc Warren. I enjoy Marc

:08:22.:08:38.

Warren. He is an up and down sort of layer. -- player. Just look at this

:08:39.:08:47.

wonderfully fluent swing. It looks like nothing more than a 6-iron,

:08:48.:09:00.

here. That could be an eight. Which of course, these days, is like a

:09:01.:09:10.

six. The beautiful par-3/17. The Potter in hand for Robert Karlsson.

:09:11.:09:19.

It was the first time they have used the top tier all week on this par-3

:09:20.:09:28.

hole. Marc Warren with rounds of 67 and 69, with a slightly better

:09:29.:09:35.

angle. He can at least hit this more into the breeze. He has 165 to the

:09:36.:09:44.

front and you can and another 26 paces to that. 190-old yardstick go.

:09:45.:09:57.

-- 190-odd yards to go. What a cracker.

:09:58.:10:09.

All is about, into the final hole today. -- Olazabal. 558 yards,

:10:10.:10:29.

par-5, and going with an iron. It is a very narrow hole. I would always

:10:30.:10:35.

hate to do this. Look at that bounding along. He has got into

:10:36.:10:41.

safety. I would rather go with a driver. 409 metres this hole,

:10:42.:10:55.

crosswind from the right, this for a birdie, and the outright lead. We

:10:56.:11:01.

have just had four Brodie is at the opening hole. None better than that.

:11:02.:11:11.

-- four birdies. Just over 190 yards to go. Gorgeous second shot, well

:11:12.:11:19.

done. It is fun when it described well. The par-5 second hole.

:11:20.:11:31.

Gonzales can hit the lead. A double bogey on 18 last night at about

:11:32.:11:37.

quarter to nine. That is a cracking shot. He might just get the lead

:11:38.:11:50.

back. Don't hurry, honey. Tyrell Hatton with a chance for a birdie at

:11:51.:11:57.

the fifth. And a home run. Right in the middle. He has made a couple of

:11:58.:12:08.

good putts today. He should smile after that. It is all fun when it is

:12:09.:12:16.

going well. The par-5 second hole. There is nothing in this putt.

:12:17.:12:18.

Slightly downhill. Well done, lovely eagle. You have

:12:19.:12:37.

got to try and not make the putts too important. You have got to try

:12:38.:12:49.

and treat them the same way. A lot of good shots today. Six at 14. That

:12:50.:13:00.

hurt his cause. Out on 31, still, 67, a fine round. A good group to

:13:01.:13:13.

have gone out earlier with, and now, he can wander around with the

:13:14.:13:21.

leaders. He knows it, too. The Friday blues for Rory Mcilroy. Just

:13:22.:13:30.

flying at over 200 yards. Gonzalez, hitting it. The hole is 20 paces

:13:31.:13:40.

from the front. That just skipped through. David Howell, with his back

:13:41.:13:53.

to us. This, for two, a great one to take. Right in the middle once

:13:54.:14:04.

again. He is fun to watch on the green. Very simple method, but very

:14:05.:14:15.

effective. The birdie putt of Phil Mickelson at 13. Yes, well done. He

:14:16.:14:32.

has worked very hard and stuck in. It has been a good week for Phil

:14:33.:14:35.

Mickelson. It has forced them to focus on the shop in hand. An

:14:36.:14:41.

amazing eagle at the second for Ricardo Gonzalez. It could be a good

:14:42.:14:46.

week for Argentina, with the World Cup final. Robert Karlsson has aimed

:14:47.:14:55.

this a long way to the left, trying to use the bank. Lovely line, the

:14:56.:15:07.

speed is good. I would imagine about five feet nine, hold it nicely, then

:15:08.:15:13.

about four feet to the second where he made the eagle. 446 yards, this

:15:14.:15:22.

par for all. -- this par for all. Tyrell Hatton had made a wonderful

:15:23.:15:40.

start. He has an eagle opportunity at the par-5 sixth hole.

:15:41.:15:55.

Three birdies in the first six holes. This is for par on three, it

:15:56.:16:08.

looks dead straight. And it is, well done, good save from Ricardo,

:16:09.:16:23.

staying at 8-under. David Howell found a bunker. I think that just

:16:24.:16:37.

ran into the bunker. This is Tyrell Hatton at the eighth hole. He's

:16:38.:16:47.

having a great day. Although that is a terrible one for him. One of the

:16:48.:16:49.

unmentionables. That was a good effort. Just again,

:16:50.:17:13.

much more steam, and it might have held its line. The first bogey of

:17:14.:17:21.

the day for David Howell who goes back to 5-under, 1-under for the

:17:22.:17:29.

day. This is Marc Warren, the tournament leader, in great shape. A

:17:30.:17:37.

little right. That is a good shot. You can see all

:17:38.:17:56.

of the slopes before the pin, it is downhill and downwind, everything to

:17:57.:17:59.

the pin, so you cannot really get close.

:18:00.:18:07.

He has a downslope, short of the green, letting it bounce up, if it

:18:08.:18:15.

comes off the bank, it is going to be perfect. Magnificent shot.

:18:16.:18:22.

Excellent shot, for eagle. Using all of the contours. He is a strong

:18:23.:18:30.

player. He had a good win in Ireland a couple of weeks ago in the Irish

:18:31.:18:32.

open. That is going to happen a lot in

:18:33.:18:55.

your career. Just knocking it in with one hand, modularity, until you

:18:56.:18:59.

miss one, and then you ever do it again. -- nonchalantly. As it was

:19:00.:19:10.

yesterday, the fifth hole can be driven. It is a narrow fairway to

:19:11.:19:18.

land it in but if they land it in, it can be drove through the front

:19:19.:19:22.

bunker, so Gonzales certainly can without any trouble at all.

:19:23.:19:33.

That is too far right, maybe? What abounds. -- what a bounce. That is a

:19:34.:19:55.

fantastic shot. 3-wood to the middle of the green. Chance for an eagle.

:19:56.:20:08.

This is a funny putt. If you start it left it would go right, if you

:20:09.:20:27.

start it right, it would go there. He is aiming a little bit right.

:20:28.:20:36.

That would have been some two, but it will be another birdie for our

:20:37.:20:43.

leader. After a fantastic second, this foreign eagle, they gap to

:20:44.:20:48.

6-under. Just a little break from right-to-left. You cannot stop

:20:49.:20:50.

there. This, for birdie. It is 9-under.

:20:51.:21:10.

Very good. Excellent stuff. Great start for Gonzales, going to 9-under

:21:11.:21:19.

par, one clear of Marc Warren. This is Craig Lee, for the birdie at 15.

:21:20.:21:29.

Getting to 7-under. Not quite. Twice a run-up, Craig Lee, on the tool,

:21:30.:21:38.

the European Masters. I'm sure that a win is not far away. A very good

:21:39.:21:45.

player, Craig. He has played well down in South Africa. It is always

:21:46.:21:50.

good to have him at the events that are played in South Africa. David

:21:51.:22:03.

Howell, with a 7-iron, his second shot to the par-5. That is grand.

:22:04.:22:17.

This is a must-make putt for Phil Mickelson. He pushed it. Straight

:22:18.:22:26.

away. So, a birdie is a birdie. Craig Lee

:22:27.:23:15.

for them -- from the bunker at 16. Nicely played. The 37-year-old Scot.

:23:16.:23:27.

He has this one to pick up a couple of shots. He is going to come from

:23:28.:23:34.

the right. Wonderful putt from Justin Rose. Birdie, for the

:23:35.:23:49.

Englishman. That was well hold, keeping the speed up. 5-under. That

:23:50.:23:55.

is one of the better ones out there today. Gonzales at 9-under. Craig

:23:56.:24:07.

Lee, David Howell and Justin Rose up there. And a splendid 66 for the

:24:08.:24:15.

Spaniard, Larrazabal are. Just a little bit of movement to the left

:24:16.:24:20.

of the player and then these two enormous bunkers, you must stay out

:24:21.:24:27.

of those. Most players have. Playing down the breeze, a big bounce that

:24:28.:24:41.

you have two allow for. It kicked in the right direction. This is

:24:42.:24:43.

perfect. This agreement is protected by

:24:44.:25:00.

bunkers, to the left and right, but they are not so bad today. You must

:25:01.:25:07.

plan where the bounce is going to come from, pitch this about 30 yards

:25:08.:25:16.

short. Good swing of the club. Throwing it up there are little

:25:17.:25:27.

more. Another wonderful shot. He has always been a good striker of the

:25:28.:25:34.

ball, Marc Warren. Coached by Sam Torrance's father, Bob Torrance. The

:25:35.:25:41.

fundamentals are good. Look at the putting stroke of Justin Rose. This

:25:42.:25:49.

coming from about half a cup outside right, perfect. That is a big miss

:25:50.:26:00.

from short range. On a windy day, you have got to give

:26:01.:26:21.

yourself as many opportunities as you can, and take advantage of a few

:26:22.:26:31.

more. The birdies are going to be harder to come by on the way in for

:26:32.:26:37.

Justin Rose. Shane Lowry. Great shot. There is a little shelf there.

:26:38.:26:43.

The ball was pitched just on top of it. This is egg for Broberg, and

:26:44.:26:50.

eagle opportunity at the sixth hole. -- this is big. He looks at the

:26:51.:27:01.

caddy as if to say, can you believe that? He is even through his first

:27:02.:27:19.

six today, back to where he started. A good chance for Marc Warren. He is

:27:20.:27:28.

a streaky putter, Marc Warren. Different swing to his left. He

:27:29.:27:41.

knows that were slightly over hit. Just watch this at from full

:27:42.:27:46.

Mickelson here. He does not want to bogey it again. That has been the

:27:47.:27:52.

story of his year. He played well on Thursday and missed a putt of

:27:53.:27:55.

similar length for the bogey. Marc Warren very close, there. He

:27:56.:28:39.

has had a little bit of time and it has gone back in the last couple of

:28:40.:28:42.

years. I'd love to see win this and making the Ryder Cup. We mustn't get

:28:43.:28:47.

too far ahead of ourselves as Broberg goes for birdie. How things

:28:48.:29:02.

change. Marc Warren looking to make it to 10-under par.

:29:03.:29:18.

It is a wonderful leader board. And it is impossible to pick a winner.

:29:19.:29:28.

It is the only hole on the front nine that you play back into the

:29:29.:29:31.

breeze. Just make that quick adjustment. The ball further back in

:29:32.:29:44.

the stance. He has hit some good shots but that is the best one he

:29:45.:29:50.

has hit so far, this front side. Looking good for three in a row for

:29:51.:30:03.

the Swede. Hopefully the final putt of this third round for Craig Lee.

:30:04.:30:08.

He lost in a play-off at the European Masters to Thomas Bjorn

:30:09.:30:14.

last year. Shot a 61 in round three. That is a very welcome return to top

:30:15.:30:19.

form for the Scot. Have you ever tried that, Sam? I have, actually,

:30:20.:30:24.

but it was off the back of a boat. Similar thing. It looks peaceful. It

:30:25.:30:32.

was. Here is a man who has suddenly got it going, young Christopher

:30:33.:30:34.

Broberg from Sweden. A player still looking for his first

:30:35.:30:44.

win. This would be one heck of a par

:30:45.:31:00.

save. This is downhill, right-to-left, and back into the

:31:01.:31:12.

wind. Good try. You cannot fault with stroke there. It is a nice

:31:13.:31:18.

breeze today, that is probably the best way to describe it, just a good

:31:19.:31:31.

test. The leaders in double figures. Marc Warren, this goes down, he

:31:32.:31:36.

narrows the gap. Watch out for this young man, Tyrrell Hatton. He must

:31:37.:31:40.

be in contention for the Rookie of the year title. There seems to be a

:31:41.:31:48.

lot of pressure on the players now on either side of the -- on the

:31:49.:31:51.

other side of the Atlantic. First drop shot. Dropping two behind

:31:52.:32:04.

now, Marc Warren. Back to Justin Rose. This is a pill, it should

:32:05.:32:11.

break a little bit from his left. -- this is uphill. Probably influenced

:32:12.:32:17.

by the shoulder of the bunker to his right. APPLAUSE

:32:18.:32:28.

He sinks another one, the youngster, Tyrrell Hatton. They were just

:32:29.:32:46.

pumping out players a decade ago but then a bit of a lull. Now we look at

:32:47.:32:56.

the short 11th. 157, he is leaning left. It is good now. Just over a

:32:57.:33:10.

little mound. Yes. He knows he got away with it.

:33:11.:33:22.

Gonzales, more of an upper body movement. He did not want it to fly

:33:23.:33:29.

to much. It nearly goes down! It was right online. 44 years old, the man

:33:30.:33:36.

from Rosario. Four-time winner on the European tour, playing

:33:37.:33:48.

beautifully. The boys from Northern Ireland, they know how to move it

:33:49.:33:56.

around on a windy day. Nice position here for Justin to pick up his

:33:57.:34:01.

second birdie in a row. A little bit uphill, right-to-left. Two birdies

:34:02.:34:09.

in a row. So, Gonzales to match Rose. He moves

:34:10.:34:23.

within one of Marc Warren. Well done Shane. A two-time winner

:34:24.:35:03.

on the European tour and another player who has found a really good

:35:04.:35:08.

level of consistency in the last 18 months or so. The overnight leader,

:35:09.:35:15.

Marc Warren. This is just left of the flag. That has held up in the

:35:16.:35:20.

wind OK. Coming round nicely, for birdie.

:35:21.:35:41.

Well holed. Great putt from David Howell. Back to five under. Five

:35:42.:35:46.

behind. The sort of putt you would like to

:35:47.:35:55.

have, a double bit downhill, right-to-left. Beautifully holed.

:35:56.:36:10.

The Scotsman -- one of the Scotsman is going to be happy, whether that

:36:11.:36:12.

is you Dougie, or Sam Torrance... A little colder than it was

:36:13.:36:33.

earlier. The wind is still up. You can see how horrid this grass is

:36:34.:36:42.

here. What have we got? Rose is in much better shape. It is not too bad

:36:43.:36:56.

where his ball is. He marched out the yardage so that he does not go

:36:57.:37:01.

over the green on that line. That is all he could do. That is well done.

:37:02.:37:14.

This one is terrible. The ball is well above his feet. The rough is

:37:15.:37:19.

going to really grab the shaft. There you go, no chance. A shake of

:37:20.:37:24.

the head. The young Englishman, Tyrrell

:37:25.:37:33.

Hatton. Genius. He is too young to be that good! The

:37:34.:37:56.

crowds have come out thick, all the Aberdonians, may be stealing a few

:37:57.:38:04.

from the other counties. Three in a row now for Justin Rose. So, it is

:38:05.:38:14.

the English against the Scots at the moment. That happened a few years

:38:15.:38:15.

ago. Gonzales. No movement in this one

:38:16.:38:27.

but he certainly needs to make it, the way his playing companion is

:38:28.:38:29.

holding birdies right and centre. He got a great read off Justin, just

:38:30.:38:44.

not quite firm enough on that line. Unfortunately this is for bogey.

:38:45.:38:49.

What a shame for David. He has gone along so nicely. Three shots gone in

:38:50.:38:53.

to holed 's -- in two holes. Slightly obstructed view, for

:38:54.:39:17.

Broberg. Just comes up a little bit. It is fine, though. It is a pretty

:39:18.:39:26.

straight putt from there. Look at that beautiful angle into the pin.

:39:27.:39:32.

He wants to land this five feet short, jump it up to feet past.

:39:33.:39:39.

Stone dead. He is well capable of it too. Great chance here for Marc

:39:40.:39:41.

Warren. Excellent shot. Excellent shot.

:39:42.:39:57.

Great chance again for Warren. He had a great chance of winning at

:39:58.:40:03.

Castle Stuart. He is back trying again. This is 14. Fabrizio Zanotti,

:40:04.:40:16.

he made eight just in front of here not long ago. Rose deliberately laid

:40:17.:40:22.

up, little hazard. It is a grass wall he is trying to hit across. A

:40:23.:40:35.

wayward shot, the worst we have seen from Rose today. Right off the wall.

:40:36.:40:46.

That is a horrid spot. Broberg, for his birdie. 13. A touch

:40:47.:41:02.

right-to-left. Speed no problem. It is a great putt from Broberg. What a

:41:03.:41:04.

good birdie. A rather snazzy pair of shoes,

:41:05.:41:17.

little purple accent. I know you have a pair like that in your

:41:18.:41:19.

closet, Sam. This is for birdie on 18. Chance.

:41:20.:41:30.

Just a wee bit aggressive. You always feel you have done that, why

:41:31.:41:45.

did I hear that so hard? Justin Rose is in big trouble at 14, so this

:41:46.:41:53.

would actually be for a big lead. Well done, well done Marc Warren.

:41:54.:42:10.

Broberg and Rose tied for second. Great stuff from Marc Warren, six

:42:11.:42:18.

under today. He has been lucky, what a lie, Frank.

:42:19.:42:24.

He could have been in all sorts of problems. The kick off the shoulder.

:42:25.:42:39.

Fortunately, that is a putt for par. A win this week and Rose would move

:42:40.:42:42.

to the number three position in the world ranking. He has really played

:42:43.:42:53.

well. Remember that name, Tyrrell Hatton. Marc Warren.

:42:54.:43:09.

No danger in the tee shot. Just knock it up the fairway. Then

:43:10.:43:19.

straight in the bunker. That was a poor shot, Marc. He has got the

:43:20.:43:33.

driver out. On the left side it is 240. It is another 20 at least to

:43:34.:43:36.

carry it on the left side. He has ripped it. It is a little

:43:37.:43:57.

right? Well, it is magnificent. If you can do that, it is worth it. You

:43:58.:44:06.

might only get it once out of ten but great shot, got away with it.

:44:07.:44:24.

Just got to hang tough. We saw Marc Warren in the bunker. He has come

:44:25.:44:43.

out to hear. He will have a long shot in, just needs to make sure he

:44:44.:44:49.

makes his five now. Playing 190, he has 169. The breeze

:44:50.:45:05.

is making it a clear 190. The pin is just in front of the TV tower. The

:45:06.:45:07.

second toughest hole on the course. Started down the right. As it

:45:08.:45:25.

dragged back? Hopefully. That is OK. That is a very good shot from Marc

:45:26.:45:33.

Warren there. That is just a huge tee shot. There have been very few

:45:34.:45:39.

birdies here. He gets a nice kick. One more

:45:40.:45:58.

bounce. Still an excellent chance for three here at the tough 14th.

:45:59.:46:07.

105 perfect position here. He is going to try and take this a little

:46:08.:46:11.

lower than he has been. That is exactly what he has done. It did not

:46:12.:46:29.

sound like the best of strikes. It bounces beautifully, so you do not

:46:30.:46:33.

see those big deep divots. But you have still got to be precise. Marc

:46:34.:46:42.

Warren, bogey free so far. APPLAUSE Very good effort.

:46:43.:46:49.

A shot drop but it is not a disaster.

:46:50.:47:00.

Oh how quickly things change. A real tussle. The hole just tilted to the

:47:01.:47:41.

left. That never looked anything other than going straight down the

:47:42.:47:52.

middle of the hole. Rose is just two back now. Mikko Ilonen at four

:47:53.:48:03.

under, this to get to five. A birdie on 16, can he do it on 17? Yes he

:48:04.:48:05.

can. His sixth birdie of the day. Coming towards the closing stages of

:48:06.:48:21.

this third round here at Royal Aberdeen golf club. Justin Rose.

:48:22.:48:33.

179, beautiful position. Let the wind bring it in.

:48:34.:48:43.

Excellent shot. That is the brave side of the green.

:48:44.:48:55.

As we watch Mikko Ilonen. He has tossed this one right up in the air,

:48:56.:49:09.

get it. Many years ago he won the amateur

:49:10.:49:15.

championship. He looked for a bit too much. As it

:49:16.:50:08.

came off the part, you knew he looked for a bit too much. Maybe a

:50:09.:50:22.

bit of a slight pull. Ilonen looking to finish with a birdie at the last.

:50:23.:50:27.

You just need to have that little bit of pace at the end of it to hold

:50:28.:50:30.

the ball on line. Another fine day's work from the

:50:31.:50:37.

tall Finn, 69. Getting away right. He has been lucky. Final tee shot

:50:38.:50:53.

for Rose, just an iron. The ball Tracer giving us an idea of

:50:54.:51:12.

the swing path, the flight of the ball. Beautiful. It certainly is.

:51:13.:51:25.

Now the leader. This is way right. Whoa! That is bunker bound. Good

:51:26.:51:46.

fortune really. He would have had no shot if he was in the staff behind

:51:47.:51:50.

it. That is a good break for our leader. That is how the leaderboard

:51:51.:51:56.

looks coming towards the end of this third round.

:51:57.:52:01.

Marc Warren leads by one, but for how much longer?

:52:02.:52:17.

Worthy of the applause there. Rose, from 171 with the wind straight off

:52:18.:52:36.

the left. What a shot. Rose has somehow made five birdies on his

:52:37.:52:46.

homeward nine. They have been very bold, very positive strokes all the

:52:47.:52:48.

time. Up the hill. That was not the best putt that

:52:49.:53:03.

Justin hit all day, by any means. Still looking in splendid form,

:53:04.:53:26.

Justin Rose. 69, 68, 66. The progression is good. Broberg with a

:53:27.:53:39.

bit of work to do for his par at 17. Did not start out in the middle of

:53:40.:53:40.

the whole. I do like to see a little lag. Slap

:53:41.:53:45.

bang in the middle. Six under still might be out of it.

:53:46.:54:16.

-- still might not be out of it. APPLAUSE

:54:17.:54:21.

Into the bunker I would think. Every chance. Which way is he going to

:54:22.:54:51.

come out? He will want the -- he will want the wispy rough. He

:54:52.:55:02.

has to be careful he does not get too cute. It really was a risky

:55:03.:55:15.

shot. We have a fox on the box. The pin is right in the middle of the

:55:16.:55:24.

green, ten paces on. Another cracking shot.

:55:25.:55:40.

That should be on a good line. APPLAUSE

:55:41.:56:08.

There is a good rhythm in this putt much it has two fall away to the

:56:09.:56:15.

left. It will begin with a nasty one.

:56:16.:56:35.

There will be a big draw if this goes in. Instead a groan as it slips

:56:36.:56:41.

past. -- would be a big roar. Good playing today. A bit of a rocky

:56:42.:57:09.

start for Kristoffer, but he comes back well.

:57:10.:57:14.

Come on, Marc Warren, knock this one in. Marc Warren and Justin Rose will

:57:15.:57:27.

play together as the final pair tomorrow afternoon. Leading the

:57:28.:57:38.

Scottish Open by one. It is Justin Rose and Marc Warren who lead by one

:57:39.:57:48.

from Kristoffer Broberg. Tyrrell Hatton, in his rookie year on tour,

:57:49.:57:55.

how excited will he be tonight? Today was as good as I have played,

:57:56.:58:01.

I want to say in a long time. Probably my second round at

:58:02.:58:03.

Congressional and that round there, two of the best rounds I have played

:58:04.:58:08.

all year. I think I got a close to the whole many times there, which is

:58:09.:58:11.

tough to do on a links course. Really happy with way the game has

:58:12.:58:16.

progressed throughout the week. I think the front nine I played really

:58:17.:58:20.

well and was in control of what I was doing. Maybe had a couple of

:58:21.:58:26.

fairway bunkers which is a 1-shot penalty around here. I managed to

:58:27.:58:30.

save par once and give myself a good chance at 18. Taking it to tomorrow

:58:31.:58:39.

in a great position. Plenty of low scores once again on the testing

:58:40.:58:42.

Royal Aberdeen links and there is a real chase in prospect not only for

:58:43.:58:46.

the title but for the three remaining qualifying spots for The

:58:47.:58:55.

Open Championship at Hoylake. We will be back tomorrow.
