Day Three - Part 2 Golf: The Masters

you. It is 9.30pm at home in the evening. We hope you are enjoying

Saturday night at the Masters with us.

I know lots of people at home who will be watching the Masters. We

heard the news that Ronnie Summery died a few days ago. His company put

on the four-ball tournament that we all played in. So the passing of one

of the great friends of golf and member of my old club. Rest well old

friend and enjoy this one of Bubba's.

This is where he is so extraordinary. I mean, it has gone

off the green. That deserved better. It deserved a ten footer for an

eagle. Up the slope. The hands are close

together. A good four at number 9. He is just 20 years of age. Rooky Of

The Year last year. Kevin Stadler at the 13th. Oh, that could be very

good. Oh, it is stuck up on the top, would you believe it? It is going

the other way. Jonas Blixt. There is a lot of areas

thaw don't want to miss it. Oh, stay! If it was another two feet it

would have been on the little ledge. I think these greens are getting

quicker, Peter. Yes, they are. It is almost like putting on chromeium.

He is just trying to shape this around the dog leg. That's perfect.

Oh, that's ideal. The further down, the flatter the

lies. Lee Westwood at the 15th. Fed could finish -- if he could finish

1-under. Oh, it is going to be... Oh, oh. I

don't know if I'm going to get through this week!

Louis Oosthuizen. He is well in range. That's long and just far

enough to the right to see around those trees. Now Bubba at the 8th.

He hit that magnificent shot through the back of the green. I am afraid

this is clumsy chipping. There has been an awful lot of that over the

last two-and-a-half days. Whether it is the pace of the greens, I don't

know because these fellas usually chip beautifully. There has been

hardly any chip shots that I have seen that ended up stone dead. 10,

11, 12, you are always happy to go 4, 4, 3. Two long and difficult

par-4s. Kevin Stadler legging to putt out of this little gully.

Interesting to contrast the style between him and Adam Scott. They

have got the converted telegraph poles for putters and one has his

hands close together and Adam has his wide apart. Watch when you get

the chance chance to have a look at their various different styles.

Bubba needs this one just to settle him down. His eyes are beginning to

look a bit stary. He has got to keep the pace up otherwise it will slip

by on the left. Didn't have the speed to run it in.

So only a par after those two magnificent hits.

Well, Lee Westwood needs this to get 1 of the leader. A big boomerang

putt from right to left. He needs a velvety touch. I swear he only took

the putter back about six inches. How about that? Oh. Cruel. The

number of times the putt runs right by. That's wonderful. Wonderful. Two

putts from there. Donaldson also missed this. It is

tricky to judge and he has done it very well.

STUDIO: Thing are moving apace. Having had a five shot earlier,

Bubba Watson's lead, as we see Jamie Donaldson there. Look at that, Lee

Westwood is moving steadily now. He is within sight of the leader. There

is Jonas Blixt who has gone to 5-under par. Bubba Watson is not

having it all his own way. There is a posse. Back to our leaders.

Well, he might hole it this time. He doesn't quite release the putter. It

is a slightly nervy one. A big opportunity missed. Well, it is hard

to say that because there were t magnificent strikes up on to the

green. This was Blixt at the 9th. A long putt up the hill. We hear it

went in. It is travelling on a bit. Out in 34. Very nicely done indeed.

The Swede lives in Jacksonville Beach.

Back at the tee. Hold on to your hats!

An amazing looking drive. I wouldn't like my finger between club head and

ball when he whacks it! Look at that. You could throw it on the

green from there. Disgraceful! I think a lot of folks at home have

no idea how hilly this course is. This is the 10th going down the

hill. It is Spieth's second shot. The green sort of slopes from back

to front and he has not got it up and that will go off. Boy, it is

cushltion isn't it? -- cruel, isn't it? There is only a small bit you

can land on. The 16th, 155 yards. He loves it. Be

right. Oh, another beautiful shot. Cheers from the surrounding crowd.

Thomas Bjorn driving at the 10th. A 3-wood just to get a little bit of

right to left on it and chase it down the hill. He has drawn it left.

It should be OK. Yes, a beauty. Scampering down the hill. A Swede

and a Dane tied in the leaderboard at the Masters.

Oh, it has gone the other way. Not have easy to work right to left

with a driver. That's gone straight. A bit right, Ken. Maybe down the

right-hand side. No, he is OK. From the 10th tee to the 10th green is

over 100 feet drop. It is hard to believe. Look with Spieth's second

shot ended up. At one stage he was on the green by four or five feet.

This is something that two-dimensional cameras don't show

you. You wouldn't believe it, would you?

Up she goes. A good shot. Well done. He is remarkably cool. A really

customer. You don't often meet 20-year-olds who are so mature. This

time last year, he wasn't ranked in the 200 in the world.

Matt Kuchar going steadily. He lost in the play-off last week in

Houston. He is a delightful player. A lovely touch.

Isn't that a lovely view? No wonder the spectators sit there all day

with a packet of sandwiches. Just a whisker. Not much. Not much.

Oh, he has over done it. It almost looks as if you are not trying as a

result of a putt from 15 feet ends up like that. You give yourself a

talking to and it is moments like this that you have got to settle and

you get cross with yourself. There was lots of cheering going on. We

will catch up with what happened in a minute, no doubt. Bubba on the

flat at the bottom of the hill. Not many people can - in fact he is. He

play it is a little up the slope and a pin on this central plateau.

120 yards. It will end up where Blixt was.

Fizzing in, John Senden. That's what the cheer was all about!

Oh, a little unlucky. It got squeezed between the pin and the

edge of the cup. Back to Westwood. Oh yes! It's good.

APPLAUSE Yesterday, this was Rory McIlroy.

Now, just watch this. This is the 13th. You talk about luck and luck

of the draw. Watch where the ball pitches here. Just on the back left.

Look at that now. We think it pitched on the sprinkler head or the

back of the slope or something. Ken went down and had a look. He

scurried about with his magnifying glass and came up with? Poor old

Rory pitched on one of these sprinkler heads. Nearly perfect. The

pin today is cut on a back right little plateau. When you are coming

from a long-range with the ball above your feet, it is not easy. It

is this little ledge, but you have got to be right. Three yards to the

left and you trickle off the left side of the green and anything going

down the right because that's difficult to get down in two fr

there. Anything from short, right, but further right, but just

marginally right, the ball trickles off the green. Look at the pace of

the putting surfaces. Augusta is about picking your club and choosing

where the wind is blowing. If you get it right, you get on a plateau

and maybe eagles. If you get it wrong, you are always going to be in

three putt country or it is difficult to get down in two.

So true that boy. He speaks a lot of common sense. Another big cheer. A

bit lacking in cheers the last couple of days. Oh steady, steady!

That sounds like a hole in one, Ken. It is something quite dramatic. Oh,

it could be Bubba. The 9th hole. It couldn't be Bubba, could it?

169 yards to this frontage pin. He got it to land softly.

Now Thomas Bjorn. A good look at the flag and the green. Straight at it.

He is ooing and ahing. Jordan Spieth. 505 yards, but it is a

little downhill. A slighty easier pin today, slightly.

Good position. Senden after that spectacular second shot here at the

9th. Taps it in. Nine holes completed. Out in 38. A a mixed bag

early on wasn't it, fives and sixes? Here is Freddie for a birdie at the

11th. Very rare birds, indeed. Oh Freddie gets it. Oh and they love

Freddie. They just adore Freddie. We all love Freddie, don't we?

Matt Kuchar with one of his hybrid clubs at the 15th. Oh sit down. Most

of the players play to the right of the pin here because the green is a

bit deeper here. You can see that left side very shallow. He has left

himself a wicked little chip there. You need to be a wizard to get that

down in two. It is coming up to 5pm in Augusta and it has been the most

delightful of days. The last three days in fact, there has been a

wonderful temperature, no humidity. Gallacher putting for a birdie here

at the 13th. Come on, Stephen. Yes, well done, that's better. A few

putts in to ease the pain. The 12th, 138 yards. It made a

lovely sound. It is where you aim a little bit right and a little bit

long. Safe. Thomas Bjorn. Very fast swinging right to left putt. It

speeds up when he gets to the hole, but that looks to be pretty - well,

he left himself a tester and that's OK. Don't lose your nerve!

His feet are aiming towards that scoreboard. That's unbelievable. It

must of had 30 yards of cut on it. Wow. You can't teach that, Peter!

Kevin Stadler. He taps it. Robbed. Robbed. Downhill. Joint leader.

1,000 yards. We can have another look at Freddie. He has not played

this hole too well this year. Two bogeys, two fours on this par-3, he

pushed it right. But you saw that before. Probably the flattest green

on the course. This was yesterday, Freddie. He took

a long time deciding which club. It seemed to be climbing, climbing up

into the cloudless sky and then it stopped. There is only two people in

the history of the game who stopped the ball on that bank and both times

it was Freddie. Let's hear from Ken. I am on number 12, it is five on and

five from the left side. One, two, three, four, five. The pin position

is kind about there today and this little small portion at the front of

the green, anything short may wander back into the water. If you go to

the right, you are liable to go into the bunker. If you look at the plan

of this hole here of the it is interesting. You mark the pin

position. The pin position is about there. You can see how narrow the

green is. It is only 14 and 11 through the middle. If you take that

flag on and it is so difficult to pick your club anyway, you are only

aiming at this width of green. Anything short, left is going to go

in the water. Anything right goes into the sand. If you hit it further

which a lot of players will, it gives you that width to land in. If

you miss the green, there is half a chance of getting down in it two. If

you take it on, you have got to be just right. If you just tumble off

to the left, which is the danger, the ball, will it, won't it? Will it

stop? Won't it stop? There is a bit of moisture on the putting surface.

This is the pin, pews full of people. Sorry, got to get it just

right. Let's see if Freddie can get it just

right. A putt for a two here at the 12th.

Good free swing of the putter hand, turning left. Oh, a bit of a

dribble, Freddie! Just near enough to be able to bash

it in. Well done, Thomas Bjorn. Well, this Augusta weekend is one of

many great weekends with us on BBC Sport. There is plenty for everyone

in 2014. It is celebration time. The waiting

is over! Well, I hope you will take your

seats for the remainder of the evening and tomorrow as well where

we will have coverage tomorrow. It is so warm, but just a few months

ago, it looked like this. In fact, they had an amazing ice storm here

for 24 hours. A lot of trees came down including of course a tree on

the 17th which changed the character of that hole. So that's missing

clearly here, but now, you would never know apart from that one

missing tree. It is as but asful and -- beautiful and as serene as ever.

There is not much in this putt, but it doesn't make it easy. Oh,

Frederick! Back to level par. Oh, this is

difficult for Lee Westwood. It has gone past. Such a difficult place to

leave yourself there. A lot of people will go over the back. It is

so easy to do and it is still going. I just see a bit of freshening of

the breeze at the top of the hill here. Right to left. He likes it, I

think. Oh, that's a magical shot. A magical shot!

APPLAUSE The way he moves that ball about, it

is just fantastic to watch so Bubba is back! Thomas Bjorn is narrow

looking drive on the 11th now. All those trees they put in. It is a

good one. Well, you wouldn't wish this on

anybody. He could easily chip this in the water. The fringe is a little

bit sticky. It is not going to release. Oh Ah, I don't believe it.

I don't believe it. That's as good as you can do. It sat up. Had a bit

of a check on it. Fabulous. One of the best shots we have seen today.

Jonas Blixt playing alongside Jonas Bjorn -- Thomas Bjorn. Double bogey

yesterday. Heading right. Just got to get lucky. I think he is far

enough right but the trees thin out the further right you go.

Jordan Spieth with his little pitch onto the 11th. It gets a second wind

and goes on and on. He is doing exceptionally well. Matt

Kuchar to tie the lead. And he does it! Four players tied at the top.

Jim Furyk being tested. Hasn't he played that well? It is going to run

on. Very nice. Just a shot behind that group who lead the way at the

moment. These little pitches where they are just pitching it once so

skilful. I said he was a shot behind because if he does roll this one in,

the leaderboard is changing so quickly today.

Jordan Spieth up the hill at 11 and comes up shy.

He has his hands very close together when he grips the putter. That was a

wonderful second shot in from other, leaving him just this to take

the outright lead. -- Bubba Watson. Beautifully done. A three on the

10th for Bubba Watson, only his second birdie of the day. Back in

front once again. Well done. It has been a tough day

so far for the Scotsman. This course can do it to you so easily. Always a

big shot, the second in two the 11th for Thomas Bjorn. One behind Bubba

Watson. What a shot from Bjorn! That is

hopping and skipping along. That is a lovely shot. Look at that.

Augusta, a beautiful place, a cruel place.

This is not a time for bold, bold pilots.

Where are you going to leave it to give yourself the best chance of

getting down in two. He has got to get through the canopy. The crowd

like it. That is in the water! Just what you don't want to do. I have to

say, that was a little bit of a rocky's play. It was a little bit

unlucky, it did have a bad bounce, but it is always possible. Jordan

Spieth with a 9-iron to this front left him. Does he go at the flag?

Sit down. It is going long, left. He is a drama student. You can watch

just this group via special feeds. But that is fine. You can watch

Bubba Watson's group, that is also on the website. Or you can watch it

with us right now. An Open stance. Bubba Watson is going to give it

another mighty swat. He has let it go. He needs a soft bounce.

If you want to make a driver like his, you just put 12 layers of grip

under one hand and 12-under the other. He has got an enormously

thick grip. It is like holding a baseball bat. A very thick grip.

He needed another three metres on that and it would have been OK, such

are the margins. Jonas Blixt is just having a chat with the referee at

the 11th to determine where he drops. Lee Westwood for par on the

17th. He will go back to 2-under. Still

just four shots behind. He needs to make one or two more putts. He is

playing well. Jim Furyk, trying to feed this in

from the left. That is just about perfect. Stop. He hit the hole and

then... Feet to the right and it wonders of the edge of the green.

Back to the 12th. It is going to be a three.

I was looking at Lee Westwood's record in 2010 -- 20 11. The only

player I could find with higher greens in reparations was Tiger

Woods with 59. No! No! What a shot! It is like it look that the hole and

thought, I do not like the dark. Well done. That would have been a

part. The drop zone at the 11th is 58 yards.

There was a tremendous crowd reaction there. It echoes about in

the pine trees. Look at it. Nothing like it. Very unlucky for Thomas

Bjorn. He is a bit of a demon out of the sand. It should drift to the

right a little bit. He did not quite get it right. But you would rather

be six or seven feet that way than five feet the other way. He is

adding up the hill. -- putting. A long putt for Matt Kuchar.

You can see the greens starting to get a burden to them. More and more

difficult. Out on the range every morning with

his dad might as being his coach, well, since he was born.

-- Mike. No one hits the ball more consistently out of the centre of

the club than Jim. Fred Couples. He gets under-par again.

Well done, Thomas Bjorn. He was a little bit unlucky with his second

but he just says his par. He has been around a long while. A lot of

experience. He walks up the hill to this amazing

spot at Augusta. A little bit further on, the drive

of Jordan Spieth just looking to turn it around the corner. The last

time he did that at the 12th, it landed 20 feet away, but this is

heading way right. It has gone further and further in.

Aiming right, trying to work it around the corner of the dogleg.

An amazing place, one of the great theatres of sport and year with just

a lick of wind, it plays havoc in your mind. Just 138 yards today.

It just painted of the down slope in two the bunker. Donaldson to get to

1-over. Look at that. Like a slingshot out of the hole.

A good angle to get it. Does he get the distance right? You can hear the

sound on the greens now as well. They really are firm. Let's see what

Bubba Watson can do on the 11th. I can't believe he is drawing it in.

He is a brave man to do that. He likes to draw in with the short

irons. He just likes to move the ball. Jonas Blixt. You have got to

be aware of where the players are. There might be a role on the 11th

green. -- roar. There is a buzz. Everyone just hitting it beyond that

flag. A slight margin for error. This was Thomas Bjorn's tee shot.

Looking to go over the middle of the bunker. That is the safe play. When

you think of the great par threes, the dramatic ones, the postage stamp

and this 12th. Short par threes, they don't have to be long. A good

two putt from Kuchar. He started at even par so 5-under for his round

today. Over the Hogan Bridge and you get

this corner of the course where it is much quieter, no spectators here

at all. Putting of the French, you are never

quite sure. It can get top spin or pop in two the air and lose a bit of

pace. -- fringe. This could go down very nicely

indeed. Birdies on 13 and 14 and a good chance there as well.

Lee Westwood, currently tied for ninth. Well done. He wanted a few

more of the par fives and he birdied all of them today. Around in 70,

2-under and four strokes behind. Not in bad shape. Thomas Bjorn in the

bunker at the 11th, a bunker at the 12th. Confident there and

beautifully done. The water not too far away.

It is about finding his way back onto the fairway. Sits down. Sits

down. Grab a chair. Well done from there. There was not much space

between the trees. Jonas Blixt just back left at the 12th. That is going

and going. A good finish at the US PGA last

year, he finished fourth, the Swede. An awkward little pitch there. Fred

Couples. 142 yards. Come around. Come around. Here we

go, Fred Couples. He is getting himself back in two the thick of

things. A chance to go 2-under. The final pairing on the 11th green.

As we quickly go to the 16th and Jamie Donaldson.

If you are going to leave yourself a 24 putt, this is quite an inviting

one. We will have a look at that in a moment but at the 12th, Jonas

Blixt for par. You would take three at the 12th everyday.

You can see the green in the background, the 11th, and Thomas

Bjorn was just looking over. Let's see if Stephen Gallacher can

find another birdie. A horrible round for Gallacher. It

was all going so well until today. That is how you keep a round going.

To sound saves back-to-back. He could easily have dropped a couple

of strokes. Fred Couples for his birdie at the 14th. In she goes. A

birdie at 13, a birdie at 14. Back where he started, inside the top

ten. Lets see how Kuchar plays this. Very

well done. He pocketed in the year. -- popped it in the air. This was

not in the plan. This length of putt for the par.

But it drops and other Watson this week has played Amen Corner very

well. He gets going with a par at the 11th and stays one shot in

front. STUDIO: What scenes for the man who

won the Green Jacket to years ago. This is one of the great sites. It

is when we do not see very often, looking back across the water at

Golden Bell. Trying to get some right to get some

right-to-left on that. That is all right.

I watched him of the range this morning and he was absolutely demon.

Top-class play. Nudging out with just enough spin. Well done. It is

like an upturned wok, that corner of the green.

Bubba Watson's turn to face the 12th. It was at this point yesterday

where he caught fire. But this is such a risky pain to go straight at.

Straight at it he went and right over the top. That is the movement

he is getting. You can see he's swung in with the iron, bringing it

from left-to-right. A little bit unlucky. He got a soft

bounce. But just far enough around the corner to get a view of the

green. Green glove. I am not sure about that. All the way around the

corner, and to the green. The leaderboard as it stands. That man

there on 3-under par, Jordan Spieth, with a chance to go to for.

-- four. It is one of those downhill is where you have to decide whether

to hit it firm. That was a cracking finish from Lee Westwood. 73, 71,

70. 2-under. Second at the 15th for Jim Furyk. Not a long hitter but far

enough today. Going straight at it, low, flat flight, I have got my

fingers crossed for you. I don't think he quite caught that. There is

a hurdle there. Jim Furyk going along so well.

Stephen Gallacher on the 16th. Just trying to salvage this round.

Masters experience to this point has been very good but he has been heard

today. -- hurt. Donaldson, moments ago. Keeping himself just in there.

STUDIO: This is Lee Westwood's 34th major Championship and there was a

couple that got away on the home run but everyday has been getting better

and better here. 2-under for the tournaments, what

the overriding emotion? I played really solidly. I said yesterday I

wanted to play the par fives better and I played them 4-under par which

is very good. I gave myself a lot of birdie chances and I was a bit

unlucky on the greens. You are one of the country's favourite golfers.

The amount of people who want to see Lee Westwood win the big one. You

are in contention, what would it mean to you? The person who wants to

see Lee Westwood win the major before -- more than anyone else is

Lee Westwood. The most I can do is put myself in two contention and I

will be there or thereabouts after today, depending what the others do,

and see how it goes. Try and get off to a good start tomorrow and play

the front nine properly. All the best tomorrow.

Just the quietness of the 12th green. Bubba Watson played a brave

shot, two in a row, 11th and 12th, drawing over the water.

As the pressure mounts, it gets harder and harder to release the

club to hit back drawer. Only 1-over for the day.

A great looking birdie year at 12. This green has been a little bit

slower than the rest. Players have been leaving it short from here.

It is a strange place down there on the 12th because you are so far away

from the crowd and the spectators. Jonas Blixt standing below the ball.

It happens so often. We were talking about this yesterday. Sometimes you

expected to come around more from right-to-left than it does. I think

it is one of the big misnomers but when the ball is above your feet,

good players miss to the right. Watch Jordan Spieth's legs. Watch

this. There it is. He has let go of three in a row. Such nice footwork.

That is hit either really thin wall on the heel. Some top-quality

flouncing after his shots so far. Some of them have been quite good.

Let's see what Thomas Bjorn does with this. Where is this one going?

It is the same mess. It is unbelievable. But it is such a

difficult shot to hit it in there. So he is in the water, Jonas Blixt

is in the water. It is beautiful here this morning. It is one of the

great holes on the golf course of the it is a dog leg from right to

left. The fade, the left to righter, you only need three times, if you

can draw the ball as a right-hander, you have an advantage, you can turn

it around the corner of the dog legs. If you are a lefty, the thing

is a bit different. This is perhaps why they have done so well. For a

left-hander, hitting the same shape, but it is the cut shot and the ball

tends to land softer of the it is easier to control. As a right

hander, the ball tends to run. Perhaps hitting that little shot

around the corner for lefties, Bubba Watson, who can hit it a long way,

may have given him an advantage. Perhaps? Who knows, that's the

theory, but they've done well, the lefties.

Zblrch Matt Kuchar. Again that hard bounce of that top level. When the

ball is abo you, as high as 18 is, it is uphill. It is hard -- harder

to hole the green. This looks right at it. Is it

enough? Oh boy. This could be really good.

Yeah, it will keep feeding. A wonderful shot. Back to the 13th and

for Bubba, it is a big fade. Oh my goodness. Where is this going?

It is going miles down there. It is huge. It is 70 yards past where

Blixt was earlier. That's just enormous. Look at this 13th hole,

Paul. It is the most beautiful par-5 in golf and the most entertaining.

The tee is way behind us and there is no gallery. None of the patrons

are allowed around there. The second is played from a side. For Bubba,

the ball will be below his feet. There is so much trouble around the

green. As we saw with Bjorn and Blixt. Back on the 18th, Matt Kuchar

this. Is good. -- this is good. A wonderful shot and still it will go,

he couldn't do much better with that and that's not finished. That's

outrageous. I mean that was not - that was a

good looking shot. How could you play that? Well, you know, it is

just one of those things. You get it over this green and it is so

delicate. You have to be so nifty to get that close now. Fourth after

going into the water. Plenty of green to work with, a hop, skip and

a jump, put a little bite on it. Well done. A chance to save par.

Furyk after he found the water with his second, the fourth shot.

APPLAUSE Down it comes. Still that to save

par. Got to get on top. It's OK. Stay!

Yes. Not great, but a chance for par as well.

Just suddenly things look better for Bubba. The challengers are flapping

around a bit. Furyk for par. One goes for Furyk. When you think how

quickly things happen on the front nine today and a long way to go with

the rest of today and tomorrow. At start of the day, there was only one

player who was extremely nervous and that would be Bubba Watson. The rest

are trying to catch him. I suppose, Senden had butterflies as well, but

the guys starting out were relaxed knowing that they were doing the

chasing. Matt Kuchar after what looked like a good shot, Andrew,

way, way down the green now. Putting back up the green for par. Oh.

That's not bad news and he knows that. That was racing. He gets a

bogey on the final hole for Matt Kuchar. He dropped two shots behind

Bubba Watson who is in fine fettle on the 13th. It is a very, very good

round for Matt Kuchar. Three birdies, no dropped shots. Bogeyed

the 11th and the final hole, but three birdies in there as well, a

fine round of 68. He had to... That's the old Pam Watson speed.

155 yards. A putt for Blixt on the 13th to save

par. So he will slip back a bit. Just beginning to ebb away from

Bubba. Bjorn with that par putt to come.

Jordan Spieth, a good birdie. A big putt for Thomas. Well, they both

went for it and they both walk away with 6. Watson doesn't know what

putts were for, but he is in good shape. Freddie Couples is in good

nick on the 15th. He is slightly on the up slope here, you see the three

pines in the background. You want to shoot it at the middle pine and try

and draw it if you can. That's a miss. Freddie swung it way out to

the right. Oh, he swung it back and that's actually OK. Stay off the

fringe. That will be so difficult. So difficult. Furyk up the slope on

the 16th. Very, very nicely judged. I think

with the course getting firm as well, that suits Jim Furyk. He is

that kind of player that can tough in the really hard conditions. It

gives him a bit of extra distance. Bubba's second shot at 13. Oh Oh,

what a shot! Oh, a little unlucky. Oh, that stopped fast. That will

drift away. Nice effort for Bubba Watson. I believe 13 and 15, Andrew,

are really going to be the indicators of how the players feel.

That was a huge drive for Watson there. I remember that dual with

Bernhard Langer. Donaldson now for par at 17. Well

Three over for his round today. He is still inside the top 20. He is

alongside Adam Scott. Well, Freddie played a little shot from just off

the green. It has been a fascinating afternoon.

Bubba Watson has been leaking shots, but seem to have steadied himself

and has re-established that two shot lead ahead of Matt Kuchar, but he

will settle for 68. Justin Rose made good progress today. Lee Westwood is

also within striking distance perhaps tomorrow. Gary Woodland had

an eventful time of things and finished with a round of 69 and Rory

McIlroy was the first out on the course this morning. He came home

with a 71. He is some way behind now.

Thomas Bjorn claters one away: The next tee shot is always difficult

after you have bogeyed a par-5. Bogeyed a par-5. Blixt. The fairway

slopes from left to right. That's a big, big hit from Jonas Blixt. He is

up the left side. I am not a big angle person, Andrew, but this is

one hole where angle does make a difference. You would want to be on

the right side. Senden clawing his way back. He is just three over for

the day. That's fantastic. A great touch for Senden. A sure birdie. And

Jordan Spieth, three on this hole yesterday. Hang. Hang. Come on, keep

left this time. He is shouting instructions. . . Again, the angle

is sometimes a bit deceptive. Freddie's birdie putt on the way.

Will it reach? The second shot went just about three yards too far. He

was forced to flop it from a foot off the green.

Stephen Gallacher. He missed his save par.

The challenge here is going to be speed for Bubba. He has got to go up

the hill and on to a flat that actually will taper away a little

bit. So it is up hill and then ever so slightly downhill. But more flat

on top than downhill. Bubba actually leads the tour and proximity of the

hole in his lag putting. Let's see if he can get the speed right here.

This is for eagle. He just misjudged that badly. That

looked like... It looked like he mis-hit it actually. It is not a

putting stroke that convinces you, is it? It is not conventional. Even

when he won a couple of years ago, he missed several putts inside six

feet. He won by a wide margin and he putted well, but he has got more

confidence. He lengthened his putter. He has it counterbalanced.

He put more weight in the tip of the putter. He says technically, he

feels way more sound. Two seconds and a first this year.

No. . It never had a chance. His second three putt of the day. His

second three putt of the week. What a waste. What a waste. But he is

feeling it today, there is no doubt about that. It He remains two shots

clear. There is a pattern as well, Andrew. All the putts are short.

Always, I know, that from personal experience, when I wasn't

comfortable, I left putts short. And that's what is happening to Bubba

here. This was short up the hill on 13 and you could just see the way

the putter flopped around after the hit. He mis-hit that a bit. That's

the pattern. When you are not comfortable, he is a little nervous,

but OK so far. Still a shot clear. 25 putts through 13 holes. Freddie

is trying to get the maximum space on this 16th to get the angle to

right to that front right pin. It is a beautiful swing. It is a

pretty descent shot as well. Thomas Bjorn's second to the 14th. It has

to go left of this pin. We haven't seen many miss right. He knew

straightaway. That ball would have continued on another five to six

feet. Blixt now. He missed that to the right as well.

And that will drift way, away from the hole. Who knows when that will

stop? Back to Jordan Spieth. He a swing, but not much he could do. How

far back is he going to lay himself? We talked about it, the problem with

having to lay up here is you are almost inevitably on a down slope.

It makes that shot, very, very difficult.

Talking about Senden and the recoil. He will hold his finish. Of course,

on a short putt like that. The recoil is when he makes contact, he

pulls the putter back instead of holding his finish. A nice birdie at

13. Bubba Watson looking edgy on the greens perhaps, but everyone else

having their problems as well as of late. Matt Kuchar with a bogey to

finish, but still a 68 and that early, early 66 of Miguel Angel

Jimenez puts him in good shape as does the 67 of Rickie Fowler and Lee

Westwood four shots behind. If Bubba comes back a little bit

more, more players will come back into it. Here is just a few of the

others, Justin Rose, he was a bit frustrated after his finish. Ian

Poulter frustrated after his. Rory McIlroy, 71 today. Adam Scott, two

over for the tournament after 14 holes. He has gone backwards today,

a big surprise that. Spieth uably the most difficult shot in golf and

that's -- arguably the most difficult shot in golf. That's well

played. Nerves of steel. Couples for two on the 16th.

Matt Kuchar we talked about that unfortunate bogey on the last, but a

good round. 68 for Matt Kuchar and he is talking to Rishi.

Matt, tell us how well you played today? Nice, steady golf. I have

been on good form. It is nice to continue it here. This is a place

you want to come in on good form. You better be on good form. The

course is so challenging particularly around the greens. I

drove it well. I was in a lot of fairways and the approaches was

critical. Being able to control the ball coming in was critical and I

played good, steady golf today. What about the chip at 15? It look as if

you had an impossible task? That's one of my best chip shots of my

life. It could not be any better. It was a risky shot. I tried to take it

to the green with spin on it, if it doesn't come off, it could go in the

water. I just had to laugh it came off. I couldn't do that again with

20 tries! Is tomorrow the day? I hope so. I

have been playing good golf and I'm hoping to build on it and continue,

it has been a talk of the conversation and have a chance come

late on Sunday. It will be a fun day of golf tomorrow. Best of luck

sprinkler head. This young man is just 20. This is

for birdie on the 15th. Has it right the way in the middle. Jordan Spieth

gets one back and moves to 5-under. He is alone in second place behind

Bubba Watson. What a player. What a talent. Well, that's after missing

the birdie on 13. He comes right back. Bubba Watson, a real birdie

opportunity here for Bubba. Oh, he has not hit it far enough.

That's going to go away. When will it stop? It has gone. It will be

down there where Blixt was. Let's see if you can reach on that

one. That will take all his nerve. Donaldson now for bogey to finish

round, but Gallacher has been worse, but hard work for Jamie Donaldson

an assault this weekend, but it hasn't turned out that way. Back

5-over today. Watch this putt. It is a good 20 feet to break. Perfectly

judged. It is fondly remembering those times

as he si this up. We will go to Jordan Spieth. 9-iron on the 16th

and that's going to go down. Just looking at the debutants. The last

time a new boy won was back in 199, it is rarely -- 1979 of the it is

rarely done. It is hard, but he can certainly win. Part of the reason it

is hard is because it is so complex here. The greens and knowing where

to hit it. For example, just a hole like number 2, knowing you need to

be 30 yards of the flag or the green even. Bubba Watson all the way up

the hill. He has come up short. Badly short. The last three putts.

This isn't short. I bet he wishes it was. That will be a tricky one.

Thomas Bjorn is ready to smash it down the 15th.

He will going for it. Well, it is a big tee shot. It is a critical tee

shot, the 15th. You know if you can put it on the fairway, you can get

there in two easily. Now Blixt. Well, he lost that left. It will be

an automatic lay up for sure. That's the way things stand at the moment.

It is an American dominated leaderboard.

That will stick so something good for Adam Scott.

Let's -- final hole. Let's see if he can finish with something good.

Now Bubba with this scary little rascal. He just touches it. That's

just perfectly stroked. Perfect speed. OK. Under par on the second.

Going nicely. Thomas Bjorn on 15. Oh, it sound add little bit --

sounded a little bit fluffy. It could be OK. No, that's in the

water. Just sound add little bit as if he forgot to take the head cover

off! You get a real indicator of how the

players are feeling on 13 and 15. Just a slight mis-hit on either of

those two holes and it will cost you. Jordan Spieth now. His ball

rolled all the way down. He has got to putt it up the hill. This is one

of those putts. You know experience and having played here in the past

is beneficial, but this is his first trip here to Augusta National. He

certainly would have practised this. Just get the speed right. Actually,

there is more to it Peter than just the speed, because it has quite a

bit of swing to it as well. It certainly does and if you go racing

it by four or five feet, it is a little bit of a horror coming back.

He is in a slightly different spot than I thought he was. He needs to

get the speed right. He has done it quite beautifully.

Just a little more. That is a good putt from down there, accompanied by

birdsong. 15th, Jonas Blixt. He is only the

second Jonas I have ever known. That was a little slider as well, he

did not give it the full Monty. Bubba Watson holding onto the lead

by one. Bubbling up for a good day tomorrow. I don't think it is going

to be as low scoring as we have had over the years. We have not had that

many scores under 70 in three full days.

It has been a rough day for Stephen. For double bogeys on his card. Those

three holes in a row. Unrelenting, Augusta.

One of the few scores over 80. It was one of those days.

Thomas Bjorn. That has got some spin on it but not quite enough. Coming

down the slippery slope of the green.

16th, Adam Scott for a birdie and in desperate need of something. Is it

going right? Yes, it never looked right. He has had one of those days,

Adam. Very interesting, these two,

wandering along, chatting on the way. I wonder what they are talking

about. Adam Scott. These are always awkward on these

tight lines of the green. You make the right sound. Egypt through it

but it skidded on that second and third bounce. -- he hit. Striding

down the fairway, 300 plus yards. This would be a fine moment to...

No. I thought it was. The 17th and Jordan Spieth. We have lost the

Eisenhower Tree. Yes, it looks quite different. We have got plenty of

trees that both sides. -- up. Night comes very quickly year. Here we go.

I don't think there is even a scar in the ground. About there,

somewhere. You can see the trees lining each side of the fairway. One

thing about this course, unless you are dead against a tree, you can

scuttle one out and move it along. But it is the greens that are the

killer. Big slopes, tremendously fast.

Jonas Blixt, downhill, left-to-right.

Sweetly done. He is going along very well. Very well indeed. A nice

little settlers there. 18th, Jim Furyk.

John Senden, how brave is he going to be? 212 yards. He has gone to the

right. He has got the familiar long chip

and run down the green. I wonder how far Bubba has launched its down

here. 325? Goodness knows what he's going to hit here.

That was brave. If you go at that sort of angle, the green is only

about 15 pieces deep. It was an extremely aggressive shot. -- paces.

There is one of those beautiful birds. I have no idea what they are.

They have got a good crest on them. Taking in the sun. They don't seem

to mind people. Snappers. Terrapins. They grow in two big monsters. He

looks quite wise, it doesn't he? This is a sucker's pin, really. If

you go at it and go over the back of the green, it is tricky to get down

in two. The wind always swirls here. It is difficult to pick it.

Jim, a little fortunate. A guard at the hole. Bernhard Langer fritters

so few strokes away. He is from Sweden. I wonder if he

can play on the Ryder Cup team. I don't know if he is a member of our

association. If he is, he can be picked. Jim Furyk.

That was for a par. Now, Thomas Bjorn.

Such good lines in his swing. A nice little straightforward. Delightfully

played by Thomas Bjorn. He did not turn the ball much but he always

seems to start the ball on the target line. Curtis strange used to

do that. Now, the monster chip and run. He has got a lofted club. There

she goes. That is goodbye, isn't it? Going right and moving on.

A lovely swing. If you are a youngster and you want to copy some

body, this is a good one to follow. Perfect centre.

Bubba electing to play a little bump in two the ill and hope for the

best. -- hill. You have got to be so careful on that one. Steady as ever,

Jim Furyk. A tidy round. Three bogeys, two birdies.

It is a little tighter at the top. Bubba leads by one.

This is a side hill that if ever there was one. First of all, we will

go back to the 17th. No we are not, we are shooting around a bit today.

I don't know what is happening to our American friends today. But here

we are. Jordan Spieth. Keeper. -- keep up. Senden, and zeal for a

birdie. -- and the hill. He has always been a steady striker. He

remains in the hunt, the man from Brisbane, Australia. 2-under.

Bubba coming down the hill. This for a birdie.

Only a five after that massive drive and a very good-looking second shot.

He ends up taking three to get there. He has left one or two

short, six inches short, today. Could be. Yes, Sir! Perfect speed.

That has evened things up. Just watch this tiptoe in from the

right hand side. It looks as though it has gone past the hole and then

just turns left. You are a Freddie fan, aren't you? I

always said years ago, in a previous world, he had been a black labrador.

When his hearing was not delightfully white. He has got that

kind of face. Just finding it a little bit of a

struggle, Freddie, on one or two holes, but he is still hanging on

for a good price. Since he has turned 50, he has finished fifth --

six, and 11th in the Masters. That is pretty 11th -- impressive, isn't

it? He is another one with a very good touch around the greens. I

would be very disappointed with him if he does not get this within four

or five feet at worst. Pitching wedge. 155 yards for Bubba

Watson. He keeps leaving himself these

awkward little shops. It is a tricky one, through a valley. But again,

right over the flag. The opening three rounds, subpar.

Fuzzy Zoeller and Larry Mize. The years fly by, don't they? Can you

believe it is 1979 since Fuzzy Zoeller one. -- won. That is in the

woods, isn't it? STUDIO: We thought the Scandinavian

challenge had become a little watered-down but Jonas Blixt is not

going away and this is a man who is only playing in his third major

Championship. He was a tie for fourth at the US PGA. And now he is

tied for second place. The Scandinavian challenge is still very

much alive, as it is for many of these men. 13 of them under-par at

this point. Steve Stricker virtually part time these days. It is great to

see him at the Masters again. Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano almost a

shoo-in for the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles in the autumn. There is

the slimline Darren Clarke. 73 today. Thongchai Jaidee. Francesco

Molinari. And Larry Mize, a former Masters winner. That is how it

looks. Bubba at the 16th and just giving it

a nudge. He is just making very hard work of it at the minute.

Always awkward from there, going through a little valley. You would

like to picture but it is delicate. The 16 has told many a story. Jimmy

Walker has not had the greatest of days. He could be pitching this. He

is, I think. And doing it very well. A little bit of speed. That is a

good shot from there. Freddie giving this his full

attention. This for a par four. Just keep it inside the hole. As long as

it has got a little bit of pace. Choose from down the left it will

miss, not hard enough it will dribble right. And it is in. Well

done, Freddie. Striking a blow for the Zimmer frames. 73.

I watched him warming up on the practice ground this morning and he

is a marvellous player to watch. Ever popular.

This is a little sneaky one, this. It is still sliding. A horrible one

he left himself. But he has opened the door. Very

much so. He has been edgy today. All the nice thoughts of six hours ago

have melted away. But he is still there. He has been

unlucky a couple of times. This is Sandy Lyle's spot. Trying to

get out of the sand. He was strong as an ox. A good strike, I am sure.

That would be good for tomorrow. That is where the flag will be.

Traditionally down the bottom right-hand side. He did well. That

must have just carried over the lip. The youngest Masters. Oh to be 21

again. That is a powerful three. In your prime you could have done it.

STUDIO: Jim Furyk was a runner-up at the last major at Oak Hill in the US

PGA Championship. Jim Furyk always there or thereabouts and he is

coming back in two it again as the man who won the US Open in 2003. It

has been 11 years since a major win. He had a birdie at the 13th but a

bit of an Asti finish. -- nastily finish. He has not really enjoyed

his time over the last few months and told reporters recently he has

been using a sports psychologist. I am sure he has put him in a very

good state of mind. How satisfied with a 72 are you? How

you feel when you come off a golf course has a lot to do with how you

finish. I have a big smile on my face. I am a little disappointed

with two bogeys at the end. It is something I have to get on with and

I have got myself in a good position for tomorrow. For some reason we

feel that way. 72 is a good score. I looked from about the hour ahead of

me, there were only a couple of guys who broke par so 72 was good. Best

of luck tomorrow. Another rumour. -- boomer. Tomorrow

is building up in two a very good package because there will be at

least eight or ten players in with a shout.

Good shot. It has got to come in from the heavens to stop that

quickly. Great crowds are beginning to move

away from the course. Good putt. He has been very nicely

today since going in two the water at the 11th. At the 13th he did

exactly the same thing. He drove in two the trees.

Jim Furyk said something very true there. If you finish well, you are

in a much happier frame of mind when you come off. If Jordan Spieth can

to put from here, you should be thrilling his weight had to the

clubhouse. -- to putt. If he takes three, he could be a little grumpy.

We were talking earlier in the week, this lad is only 20 years of

age, it is his first Masters, he is drawing the lead at the moment at

5-under par. He seems to have a lot of confidence. This is a slider, it

is an uphill, it speeds up by the hole. Get this within three or four

feet and you have done well. He has done very well.

Thomas Bjorn. Cross handed. He has done it ever since I have known him.

Tina on the right-hand side of the blocks. He is going to try and

faded. -- teeing up. Paul Azinger back in the box. Welcome back. Thank

you. It is a tight race now. Adam Scott for a birdie at the last.

He got off to a really rough start and yesterday he did as well but was

able to claw it back today. -- back. Today, not able to do that.

He got off to such a slow start, didn't he? The double bogey at the

fourth. Out in 40. And if you don't make the most of the par fives

coming back, you are going to end up doing what he has done.

APPLAUSE Well done. A terrific effort. The

crowd rise too. It is pretty new to me. Well, he is new to all of us,

but he has that stoic look. He just seems to have it all together and

nice swing to boot. Quite the touch as well.

Over to 17. Bubba Watson. He would need to be pretty brave to get it

pin-high here. Be careful, Bubba. Another big draw. Yes! Well, that's

understandable. A healthy aggression and that's what you want. You don't

want to be crazy here. Can Bubba get a good enough first putt? He has

struggled a bit on the greens today has Bubba Watson. He hasn't quite

had his touch. Maybe a little nervy. Let's look at Fred Couples' card.

Freddie Couples is with Rishi. One over for the day. 1-under for

the tournament. What position do you feel you are in? I have to tell

myself I am in an OK spot. You know, I played some good shots and I

played some poor shots. You know, the poor shots were just, you know,

you can't make pars and the best shot I hit all day was on 17. I had

a perfect 8-iron and I went two or three yards too far and I trickled

over the hill. The position I'm in is a good one because I feel like I

hit the ball well and one good round tomorrow maybe can scare them, but

it would have to be an awfully, awfully good round. I'm satisfied

with how I played. The one caristic needed to din the Masters on Sunday?

Well, you know, if the weather is like this, it will be just playing

good shots. You don't have to, you know, try and hit shots which you

are not capable of hitting. There are key holes. You have to get off

to a good start. You have to get a good drive on 2. We know that stuff,

but there are 16 other holes you have to worry about and whether it

is Bubba or Jonas or Jordan Spieth, and if I get rolling early, you have

to pay attention what you are doing and the golf course is playing so

hard and all the good scores a earlier. Matt Kuchar played good

rounds, but it will be tough for everybody. I hope you get rolling

early. You will be fun to watch! All right, thank you.

If Fred Couples does win, it will be the most popular win in golf since

1986 when Jack won the Masters here. So true, yes. An amazing

achievement. Bubba, don't leave yourself one of those, Bubba. He

can't reach. When you get a little nervous, you just can't reach. It is

a terrible feeling. He feel handcuffed.

Dush you feel handcuffed. 175 yards.

He needs to fly it on the top. I don't think he likes it much. Oh, it

is back down the slope. He looks like he will come back and play a

few in Europe because he wants to make the Ryder Cup side. It would be

nice to see him. The Ryder Cup is coming up. Tom Watson is waptain. --

captain. It should be another good one. Thomas Bjorn just a moment ago.

Yes. APPLAUSE

He is looking up. Senden. Just a few feet closer than Bubba. Well, you

have to be bold to get it past the hole there, I'll say that. The putt

coming back wouldn't be too desirable, but you would like to

roll it up there. Now, Bubba will be facing another little tester. It is

a hard location. Just pin high on either side. It runs all the way off

the green. The players know that and they just play safe. Zblu know you

can't go -- you know you can't go over. Bubba played a good approach

shot. It is much more mental than

technical today for Bubba. Dead centre though! Well holed!

APPLAUSE 32 putts he had so far today.

Looking the Masters app which has all the information anyone would

ever want! A couple of youngsters, Blixt and

Spieth. They are saying hello to the world.

Not a whole lot to this, I don't think. The challenge here is to get

the speed. Zbleu I suppose a little tier is three feet, maybe more in a

hollow and then you go up the tee and it levels out at the top.

Oh, he will be very pleased with that. It should be a par. 1-under

par 71 for Jonas Blixt. He is just one shot off the pace.

These last three holes haven't given many birdies away, but a par for

Thomas. APPLAUSE

73. Promised a bit more today, Thomas Bjorn, but steady. He is

still very much in the picture. Here is Bubba cracking one up the 18th

Boom! Flirting with the woods. I think that clattered into the tree.

STUDIO: This is the other Jordan Spieth 5-under. Remember, it is only

his third major as a professional. So confident and so in control.

Let's hear jord Jordan's thoughts. How much did you have to hold your

nerve today? A lot. Even from early on, my first tee shot, I was a

little too pumped up. Yeah, I mean all in all, it was a day about

controlling the nerves and trying to stay as patient as possible and I'm

really surprised at how well I did it compared to other tournaments and

being in not this position, but at least similar positions of being

near the top of the leaderboard the first couple of rounds. Today, was

the best kind of mental game I have ever had and I will need a better

one tomorrow. It is every golfers dream to be in contention, you are

doing it at your first go, how do you deal with that? I just, maybe it

is because I don't have to think as much. Maybe, it is easier for me

because, you know, I haven't seen balls roll off the greens as much. I

mean, I don't know. I couldn't tell you. It's a great position to be in.

I feel very comfortable on the greens which is most important. And

you know, if I can get that driver back to where it was on Thursday, my

iron play is better now. Jordan, well done. Thank you.

The final pair are coming up the 18th hole. It has been a fascinating

three days. It is not over yet, but very nearly it. In some ways, I

don't know what to make of it because the weather has been

perfect. A little bit of wind blowing, but you could hardly say it

has been treacherous. I suppose the speed of the greens, the crustiness

of the greens, I just wonder why it is when these players come and play

in our Open Championship if the greens are hard, there is lots of

complaints, "Oh, the greens are hard." Here, it is a different

mindset. But the scoring hasn't been anywhere near as good as it has been

over the last 30 or 40 years. Bubba is anxious to find his ball. He got

it. He has the ball in hand. He wasn't using the old trouser leg

trick, was he? I think he is a long way back for him with his driver. He

has hit a tree there. Well, it just disappeared. Did you see it? It must

have clattered in the trees. Did you notice he had a bottle of water

there? A Masters bottle of water? Well,

scoreboard. He is down there at the tenth fairway. Bubba is in the

middle of the 18th fairway. Oh, I see, he is coming up from the

10th fairway. Well, if he gets this on the green, it will be a good shot

because he has to come in over the right hand bunkers, the right right

of the green, 210 yards, 206 yards, up hill.

Thump it and hope for the best, I feel. The best he can hope for is

front left of the green because he knows he can't get at that pin with

that bunker. That's a good shot from there.

with the sun going down and the shadows lengthening and somewhere

over on the correct fairway is Bubba!

That's a straightforward shot, Ken? He is just far enough not to have to

contend with the tee as it goes through the green. He is below the

pufrting surface -- putting surface. A lot more players will be involved

tomorrow. It is extraordinary when they talk about equipment is better,

the golf course is better. It is prepared better. The players are

fitter. Yet, it is not showing in the scoring and the golf course is

set-up almost too difficult. Maybe that's just an old fella's opinion

which I'm entitled to! It is interesting how he is preparing to

play this one. He is going to float it in the air. He is going to use

the natural loft of the club. I don't see many pitch and runs now,

Ken? No. I think Mickelson started that getting balls to stop quickly.

Well, it is the quality of lie and the modern ball you can zip it.

Let's see what he can do here. Just a bit too much speed.

Everything else was right. But he just struggled around the greens. He

is usually so good getting up and down in 2. He has just gone through

a couple of greens and missed a couple and hasn't got down often in

2. Nothing he does is convention, is it? It was very unusual how he

played it. He didn't miss it by much. He just drops the club on the

back of the ball steering it forward to keep it low and running. He knows

he hasn't been too successful on the greens today. He left himself one of

It may well be that Jordan Spieth leads alone if Bubba Watson can't

hold that putt for par. I think we are talking about Jonas Blixt if he

can play in the Ryder Cup, he has got to play 13 European tournaments

to be a member of the European Tour, but he says it is on his agenda. He

wants to play in the Ryder Cup. He lived for a long time in the States.

It could be very interesting looking Ryder Cup team on both sides with

the new people playing. It will be at the end of September up at the

Gleneagles Hotel up in Perthshire, a bit of God's country.

As the sun gets lower and lower, if there are imperfections on the

green, you start to see the graze or spike mark and you start to ask

yourself questions - is it going to roll truly? He started 7-under par.

He is 5-under and he is tied for the lead. He sometimes has that look as

if he is about to make a parachute jump. Or cry!

Senden for a par-4 at the final hole and he hasn't hit it. You can see

Bubba coming around. It would be easy for Bubba to miss this on the

edged putt. It needs the right pace, Ken. If it is not enough it will

dribble off. If it is too much, it will catch the edge and spin away

about five feet. It looks like he is going to give it a bit afrun. -- of

of the 7th playing of the Masters. Let's see confirmation of the

leaderboard. Bubba is right up there with Jordan Spieth who is

threatening to break Tiger's record as the youngest Masters champion.

Matt Kuchar's nearly man record could be in danger. So many

possibilities for tomorrow. It is not inconceivable with 13 men within

five shots of that lead, but somebody could jump out of the pack.

playing more free than probably Bubba and Senden and it showed.

Bubba Watson had a hard time reaching there late in the day,

actually throughout the day. He had a hard time reaching on the greens.

Tomorrow, there will be a host of players. There will be a bunch of

guy who is think they have a chance all back to 2-over. I don't think

the 2-overs have a chance, but they will think they have a chance. So I

think a lot of guys feel they have a chance. You can look back to the

even pars and they know they have a shot at winning this tournament, all

those guys will be nervous. Probably 20, 25 players will be nervous. Lee

Westwood is in the mix and Justin Rose is not out of it. Jordan

Spieth, the character of this youngster has been something that's

been very impressive today? Well, it might be the first time somebody has

led the Masters going into Sunday that didn't shave on a regular basis

we will say that about him! He has a baby face. I love watching him. He

reminds me of the mannerisms and the way he carries himself of somebody

Lycra Retief Goosen. He is a pleasure to watch. I can't believe

how talented he is. It takes years to release the club in the bunker

the way he does. He is a remarkable player. Just remarkable. He is
