That is the way champions do it. Look at that!

:00:44.:01:09.

A life changer. It has been sunshine and blue skies

:01:10.:01:23.

all the way in the first two days of the 70s Masters at Augusta National.

:01:24.:01:27.

It is every golfer's ambition to be in Georgia on the most famous golf

:01:28.:01:34.

course in the world. But heading into the weekend in the first men's

:01:35.:01:40.

major of the year, not everyone has enjoyed a walk around this fabulous

:01:41.:01:45.

place. The Masters, a place of custom and

:01:46.:01:49.

habit but this time and place of change. We looked for something

:01:50.:01:56.

familiar and the champions of the last two years delivered. Adam

:01:57.:02:01.

Scott, Bubba Watson, two of only four men to break 70. And leading, a

:02:02.:02:05.

man from a golfing dynasty, Bill Haas. Michael Roy is well placed,

:02:06.:02:14.

under-par and in the hunt. Day two, and the theme of change continued.

:02:15.:02:19.

20 years since neither a Tiger roar Dore Mickelson smile graced the

:02:20.:02:30.

weekend but Phil would go. Then there was Rory McIlroy, surely to

:02:31.:02:34.

wear a Green Jacket one day, but once again exploring the shadows of

:02:35.:02:38.

this beautiful estate. In the end he survived only by a whisker to golf

:02:39.:02:44.

another day. With the UK challenge? Stephen Gallacher has long waited to

:02:45.:02:49.

play here. Jamie Donaldson the same. Lee Westwood still trying and still

:02:50.:02:53.

in touch. Yet it was the man who brings his own flash of vivid pink

:02:54.:02:57.

setting the pace. Some sportsmen beach and Neville to be known by

:02:58.:03:03.

just one name. Tiger may not be here but who can catch the man called

:03:04.:03:08.

Bubba Watson? That is the question. Andrew Cotter

:03:09.:03:13.

looking back but this is the scene right now. This is the situation in

:03:14.:03:19.

the third round of the Masters. Bubba Watson has never led during

:03:20.:03:24.

any of the opening three rounds. But he has surged to the front by three

:03:25.:03:29.

shots at the halfway point. A thrilling round from him yesterday.

:03:30.:03:36.

John Senden in outcrop second place but Miguel Angel Jimenez surging up

:03:37.:03:42.

the leaderboard. Another excellent round being putt together by Gary

:03:43.:03:49.

Woodland. He was at 1.7 under. Ian Poulter also going well. And Lee

:03:50.:03:56.

Westwood, just as he was on the opening day, 1-under par. These are

:03:57.:04:02.

some of the men challenging for the Europeans. We will see more of them

:04:03.:04:08.

a little bit later on. Further down, Jason Day, who was much fancied.

:04:09.:04:17.

Rory McIlroy, 71. He birdied the last couple. That is how it looks

:04:18.:04:25.

and this is the scene. The players completing their preparations on the

:04:26.:04:27.

range before the last couple of groups go out. But the list of men

:04:28.:04:32.

who are not here for the weekend reads like a superb leaderboard at

:04:33.:04:38.

any other time. Nine recent major champions all missing the cut. Phil

:04:39.:04:43.

Mickelson, who misses out on the weekend here for the first time in

:04:44.:04:48.

17 years. Schwartzel, Zach Johnson, Cabrera. Some of the names you might

:04:49.:04:54.

have expected to be challenging for the jacket tomorrow night. Instead

:04:55.:04:58.

they are going to have to watch it, along with all of us. At least we

:04:59.:05:04.

have something to look forward to as we do every single year in Georgia.

:05:05.:05:08.

Temperatures are soaring, we are into the 80s. Hardly a powerful

:05:09.:05:14.

wind. Otherwise perfect. Our American hosts don't begin for

:05:15.:05:19.

coverage for another half an hour but there is live coverage now on

:05:20.:05:23.

our digital streams as Rishi Persad explains.

:05:24.:05:29.

As the tournament reaches its climax this weekend we will have seven live

:05:30.:05:33.

video streams available for your mobile, tablet, desktop and TV. Get

:05:34.:05:38.

closer to the world's best on the practice range, see the players who

:05:39.:05:43.

Amen Corner, follow the players ball by ball or capture as they get to 16

:05:44.:05:50.

and 17. It is the US Masters as you have never experienced it before.

:05:51.:05:56.

These are the offerings right now. You can make your own viewing habits

:05:57.:06:01.

this evening should you so choose. That is Amen Corner in the centre of

:06:02.:06:05.

your screen. We will be building up to the start of live coverage at

:06:06.:06:11.

around 8pm. There has been plenty on the go over the last few hours. The

:06:12.:06:18.

first tee time was at about 2:45pm your time. Let's give you a flavour

:06:19.:06:21.

of what these men have been achieving on the course. It has been

:06:22.:06:23.

hard going again. This is Rory McIlroy. A birdie

:06:24.:06:35.

finish from him and a round of 71. He will not be winning this year but

:06:36.:06:40.

it is great to see him here. I mention Gary Woodland earlier and he

:06:41.:06:45.

was out in 30. Only the fifth man in Masters history to do so. He began

:06:46.:06:50.

with an eagle at the second and this was his approach to the knife. Yet

:06:51.:06:59.

another birdie. But he has certainly given is a lot to watch and a lot to

:07:00.:07:04.

enjoy. As has this man, Miguel Angel Jimenez. What a back nine from him.

:07:05.:07:13.

Five birdies. But this but took him 6-under for his round. He now has

:07:14.:07:26.

three top tens. It is great to see Paul Azinger and Peter Alliss.

:07:27.:07:34.

It is great to see you both and great to talk about what has been an

:07:35.:07:41.

intriguing Masters so far. How would you characterise the first couple of

:07:42.:07:46.

days? Very interesting. The weather has been superb. The other people

:07:47.:07:51.

seem to be talking about something different to me. The first day I

:07:52.:07:57.

thought was magnificent until about 3pm in the afternoon and then there

:07:58.:08:02.

was some movement in the trees. The course is difficult. I am not sure

:08:03.:08:10.

whether Bobby Jones would be really pleased with the way things have

:08:11.:08:14.

gone. It is magnificent but I am not sure he would have liked the course

:08:15.:08:18.

to be quite so long and quite so difficult. His idea was to bring

:08:19.:08:22.

people together under the flag of friendship to enjoy good competition

:08:23.:08:27.

in a lovely place at a fine time of year and it was not meant to be a

:08:28.:08:36.

jail sentence and it has become that in many ways. I am not sure how many

:08:37.:08:40.

of them go out there enjoying trying to get around and having to putt ten

:08:41.:08:47.

yards. It is magical but it is very difficult. It is like telling

:08:48.:08:53.

jockeys they have got to carry another 14 pounds on the horse all

:08:54.:08:57.

we are going to cover Formula one racetracks with speed bumps. The big

:08:58.:09:07.

killing part of the parts we will at some love. I know it is a different

:09:08.:09:13.

brand of golf we see every year but 68 has been the best score over the

:09:14.:09:18.

best couple of days. That is rather rare. How do you explain that? I

:09:19.:09:25.

think it is pretty simple. The Masters committee has putt the holes

:09:26.:09:29.

in really difficult spots. It has been hard to get to these targets.

:09:30.:09:33.

The Greens are not responding that well. They respond reasonably well

:09:34.:09:40.

to short pitches. But they are hard as a rock and the ball finals away a

:09:41.:09:44.

lot. There was a stretch yesterday on the back nine, I felt they were

:09:45.:09:51.

only two holes on the front nine that you could birdie and they were

:09:52.:09:55.

both the par fives. Everything else you play on defence, starting at 12,

:09:56.:10:04.

13, 15, 16, 17, 18. Those were the holes you could make the birdies.

:10:05.:10:09.

You need a healthy aggression to play well here. But sometimes you

:10:10.:10:15.

are not rewarded. A degree or an inch, golf has always been a game of

:10:16.:10:20.

degree or inches, but that is usually down to your swing. Here the

:10:21.:10:27.

course is degrees and inches. Take 15, for example, the ball can stop

:10:28.:10:33.

right on the practices -- precipice or it can trickle into the water. It

:10:34.:10:41.

is very difficult. We saw Louis Oosthuizen yesterday, it was a

:10:42.:10:46.

terrible situation for him, but that is part of the terrible beauty that

:10:47.:10:50.

is Augusta. We want to hear some of your thoughts on the third round

:10:51.:10:54.

this evening and we would like to know whether you think Bubba Watson

:10:55.:10:58.

can see this through. Can he win a second Green Jacket?

:10:59.:11:12.

I mention that Bubba Watson is trying to be only the 17th man to do

:11:13.:11:19.

a double situation at August by winning it twice. There are only

:11:20.:11:25.

three men have ever won it back to back. Shall we find out?

:11:26.:11:36.

The nerves are getting to Bubba Watson.

:11:37.:11:47.

What a shot! Bubba Watson was the winner in 2012

:11:48.:11:57.

with that infamous banana shot and he is one of golf's great eccentrics

:11:58.:12:02.

and I wonder how much you at home enjoy seeing him play? How do you

:12:03.:12:11.

enjoy watching him play? Very much. He is like a golfing Willie Nelson.

:12:12.:12:15.

He can't Singh at all but he has made the most wonderful records. He

:12:16.:12:23.

just puts bats to ball and he has got a wonderful touch around the

:12:24.:12:28.

Greens and he bobs along like one of the Beverly Hills police. I think it

:12:29.:12:32.

is wonderful and it is the world of golf good to see someone like that.

:12:33.:12:38.

He has pulled some cracking steps along the way but he also shares

:12:39.:12:47.

your old caddy. How much influence is he going to have and what

:12:48.:12:51.

information have you gleaned from him about his chances this weekend?

:12:52.:12:58.

I asked him when he walked on the driving range, are you nervous

:12:59.:13:02.

today? Caddies get nervous as well. He said he was not. I asked him why.

:13:03.:13:08.

He said they have already won a Green Jacket and they are just going

:13:09.:13:11.

to try and make the most of a perfect day. He thought Bubba Watson

:13:12.:13:18.

was in a great place mentally. Bubba Watson rises and falls based on what

:13:19.:13:22.

he thinks. He has never had a lesson, flies by the seat of his

:13:23.:13:30.

pants, and he slaps the driver. He is in a good place mentally but it

:13:31.:13:35.

is hard to wait until 2:45pm to start and there is a big difference

:13:36.:13:40.

in going to sleep on a lead and waking up with the lead. He did not

:13:41.:13:44.

grab the lead until late on Sunday when he won it in 2011. Or 2012. But

:13:45.:13:51.

now he is sleeping on the lead and waking up with it and it is tough. I

:13:52.:13:56.

believe his mindset is said that he is patient and his head is in a good

:13:57.:14:03.

place. He is one of the top Americans in form here but there is

:14:04.:14:07.

a man here only 20 years of age, Jordan Spieth, who has made a real

:14:08.:14:12.

impact here. He virtually did not have a professional PGA status when

:14:13.:14:16.

Adam Scott was winning 12 months ago but he has done these amazing

:14:17.:14:21.

things, the youngest winner in 80 years, he has won the Presidents

:14:22.:14:25.

cup. What is going to be the biggest challenge for him? Keeping it going.

:14:26.:14:31.

He has got an ancient head on young shoulders. Whether that remains so

:14:32.:14:36.

or whether something... Golf is a slow and pedestrian game. Somebody

:14:37.:14:41.

once said, you have got to allow pictures and things to cross through

:14:42.:14:46.

your mind and clear them before you hit the shot. You have got time to

:14:47.:14:51.

ponder what you are going to have for dinner tonight or what movie you

:14:52.:14:56.

are going to see. It is not a game where everything happens in a

:14:57.:14:59.

split-second, you have too much time to think. Go and enjoy it. He seems

:15:00.:15:06.

to have wonderful news. He is old beyond his years. Some people can do

:15:07.:15:12.

it, we have had young people who can do it, so when people say, cancer

:15:13.:15:18.

one so when this? Of course he can win. He is trying to be the first

:15:19.:15:28.

rooky to win. But it was Bubba whose amazing run of fire birdies on the

:15:29.:15:33.

row, in a row rather began at the 12th and this is down Amen Corner.

:15:34.:15:40.

Guess who has been down there today? It could only be Ken Brown. What a

:15:41.:15:46.

beautiful morning. We are standing on the corner of Amen Corner.

:15:47.:15:53.

I'm going to take you around the corner as it were. It revolves the

:15:54.:15:59.

11th, 12th and 13th of the 11th runs along here and the second shot is

:16:00.:16:04.

across the water. That's number 11. You walk back from number 11 to the

:16:05.:16:08.

12th tee. The crowd is around here and you play across the water here

:16:09.:16:12.

and that's number 12 and 13, walk back to the tee and play this dog

:16:13.:16:17.

leg around the corner for number 13. That's the Amen Corner. So if you

:16:18.:16:20.

have a look at t we go around here. This is the 11th. The 11th green

:16:21.:16:27.

behind the scoreboard. You come around the corner of the dog leg and

:16:28.:16:31.

they hit across the water and the gentlemen there are marking out the

:16:32.:16:35.

pin for this morning. You turn around 13 around the corner and

:16:36.:16:40.

that's the 13th up there. That's Amen Corner. Beautiful holes. Tough

:16:41.:16:45.

holes. What a great stretch of holes.

:16:46.:16:49.

What a great stretch of holes, he loves it, doesn't? We will hear more

:16:50.:16:54.

from Ken over the day. What about the defending champion, Adam Scott?

:16:55.:16:59.

He is trying to do only what Nicholas Faldo and Woods have done

:17:00.:17:06.

by claiming the first year after they won it. Will it be his?

:17:07.:17:27.

What a long hole. You little beauty! This is to win. A life changer.

:17:28.:17:43.

Finally, he buttons up the green jacket.

:17:44.:17:49.

It is rounds of 69 and 72 so far for Scott.

:17:50.:17:52.

He really showed his mettle yesterday. What impressed you most

:17:53.:17:56.

about that round from Adam Scott, Peter? Well, he has been a beautiful

:17:57.:18:00.

striker of the ball for a number of years now. Games, ball games, in my

:18:01.:18:05.

opinion, you learn how to hit and then you learn how to play and then

:18:06.:18:09.

the third thing is you learn how to control the bits and pieces that go

:18:10.:18:13.

to make it up. He has got the first two now and he has learned how to

:18:14.:18:20.

play. Now, he has got to control head and heart and not get flustered

:18:21.:18:25.

and excited and it is not the great shots that always win, it is the

:18:26.:18:28.

foolish errors and the mistake and good luck that always costs you

:18:29.:18:32.

dear. He looks a sophisticated poised player. What about John

:18:33.:18:37.

Senden. Very under rated, but a great win a few weeks ago in Florida

:18:38.:18:42.

and having been seen as something of a weakness in his short game, that

:18:43.:18:48.

seems to have improved? He spent time with Ian Baker-Finch. I played

:18:49.:18:57.

a lot of golf with John Seinedle. He will hold his -- Senden. He had the

:18:58.:19:04.

same thing, really chipping and pitching around the greens as well,

:19:05.:19:08.

but he will be the opposite of Bubba Watson today who is going to fly by

:19:09.:19:13.

the seat of his pants and he is going to hit thunderous tee shots.

:19:14.:19:19.

John Senden will be more reserved and more polished. It should be

:19:20.:19:24.

steady Eddie from tee to green. It is whether or not on the greens he

:19:25.:19:28.

can deal with the pressure of the spotlight. It will be a challenge.

:19:29.:19:32.

It is Adam Scott who seems to have produced something special from the

:19:33.:19:35.

Australian players over the last few months and as we look at the

:19:36.:19:42.

patrons, don't forget, Adam Scott has a Kiwi caddy.

:19:43.:19:51.

Alongside me is Frank, fourth in the Masters and one of the leading

:19:52.:19:54.

analysts in the game. Frank, there is a tremendous mix, the likes of

:19:55.:19:59.

Bubba Watson, Jordan Spieth, is it something that you could have

:20:00.:20:04.

predicted at the start of the week? No. You would have thought Mickelson

:20:05.:20:11.

would find something. I thought Garcia would be the same. After day

:20:12.:20:14.

two, some of the stories were what happened to those guys? When you

:20:15.:20:17.

look at the top of the leaderboard, Bubba Watson is playing his best

:20:18.:20:21.

golf. Even probably better than he played in 2012 and there is an

:20:22.:20:26.

unknown stat that eight times a Masters champion had won two years

:20:27.:20:29.

after he won a Masters, that's better than that a one in ten chance

:20:30.:20:33.

considering they have been playing this event for 77 year Length is

:20:34.:20:40.

always an advantage, Thomas Bjorn, we had Monty on our set last night

:20:41.:20:45.

and Monty said that Thomas is playing the best golf ever.

:20:46.:20:52.

Last year, we saw an Aussie win the title finally. John Senden is up

:20:53.:20:56.

there and Adam Scott. What about their challenge? I don't know what

:20:57.:21:00.

happened to the Aussies and I guess it is the Adam Scott effect a bit

:21:01.:21:07.

like Harrington, the Irish went crazy. The only players to win on

:21:08.:21:10.

the PGA Tour that weren't Americans have been Australians and there have

:21:11.:21:14.

been four of them and not one of them is called Adam Scott. The only

:21:15.:21:18.

question mark with Adam is what happened to him at Bay Hill? He had

:21:19.:21:23.

an eight shot lead and that was when he was putting on the Friday night.

:21:24.:21:26.

He three putted that and reduced it to seven and that question mark of

:21:27.:21:33.

what gets him to number one? John Senden at the moment is playing his

:21:34.:21:37.

best golf as well. Even though he is in his early 40s. The hardest thing

:21:38.:21:41.

for him is nerves. The greens are as fast as anything and it is so hard

:21:42.:21:44.

to, you are always on the defensive here. It is like driving on black

:21:45.:21:47.

ice when you are putting around here.

:21:48.:21:52.

We have talked about the Australians. Let's talk about the

:21:53.:21:56.

Europeans. This goes in for a 66. The best round of the week. Terrific

:21:57.:22:03.

to see him do that. He is right up there. Necessary a tie for third

:22:04.:22:09.

right now at 3-under. Four shots behind Bubba Watson. Well played. 15

:22:10.:22:18.

years after the last European won the green jacket.

:22:19.:22:23.

Let's talk about the British golfers. It is 25 years since Sir

:22:24.:22:29.

Nick Faldo won the first of his three green jackets.

:22:30.:22:34.

Pooh weather forced a third round fob to be finished on Sunday

:22:35.:22:42.

morning. He made a crucial decision. That's when I swapped putters. I

:22:43.:22:46.

went out and holed everything. I went out like you can't believe.

:22:47.:22:54.

He likes it! A wonderful putt. I was holing putts from all over the

:22:55.:22:57.

place. They were some of the greatest putts I have ever holed. A

:22:58.:23:02.

play-off started on ten and the American had a putt to win. I

:23:03.:23:07.

remember saying, "I can still win this, but it doesn't look very good

:23:08.:23:11.

right now." What can I tell you? Faldo made him

:23:12.:23:21.

pay. That was the sweetest putt I ever hit in my life. What a way to

:23:22.:23:25.

do it! Faldo would win again in 1990 and

:23:26.:23:32.

1996 and remains the last Brit to win the green jacket. You saw Sandy

:23:33.:23:41.

Lyle there. Isn't it great to see him make the

:23:42.:23:47.

cut again and it ended with Sir Nick in 1996, his third green jacket. You

:23:48.:23:51.

have to go back to 1999, 15 years ago for the last European, Jose

:23:52.:24:03.

Maria. Alongside me is Sir Nick Faldo. It

:24:04.:24:10.

has been a rev riveting tournament. Bubba Watson is out in front. What

:24:11.:24:15.

is the psychology he has to see this through? He is a different animal.

:24:16.:24:18.

He is interesting. He plays this game. He doesn't matter how he does

:24:19.:24:23.

it. It doesn't matter what it looks like. It is just a score. Many times

:24:24.:24:27.

on television, I go down to the range and say, "What did you try and

:24:28.:24:35.

hit on some hole?" He says, "What did I make?" I said, "You birdied

:24:36.:24:43.

it. " It is about hitting the greens. Can he hit the greens? As

:24:44.:24:50.

they set the golf course up tougher, you have to just find spots that you

:24:51.:24:55.

can hit on the greens. And when he drives, the other cool

:24:56.:25:00.

thing about him is when he drives well, you know, he has got two

:25:01.:25:06.

drives. It is either there and there or he does not nail it. When he won

:25:07.:25:10.

a couple of years ago, he nailed it down the back nine. The other thing

:25:11.:25:18.

amazing, we are all into stats now, he is the lag putting, we heard his

:25:19.:25:25.

lag putt in the proximity to hole of those lags, he is the best by miles

:25:26.:25:30.

which you wouldn't think because his stroke is horrendous at times!

:25:31.:25:37.

So but you know, you carry the pressure of, he didn't lead last

:25:38.:25:43.

time at all until he won it and it is all early days. 36 holes. The

:25:44.:25:48.

golf course will play tough and scary now.

:25:49.:25:50.

That's an under statement. It will be very, very dicey out there on the

:25:51.:25:58.

greens as we have seen. But from a European prospective, it is Denmark

:25:59.:26:03.

and Sweden leading the way. Thomas Bjorn a real renaissance for him, he

:26:04.:26:09.

is 43 years of age and prams trying to get -- perhaps trying to get

:26:10.:26:13.

himself into a Ryder Cup team. It is great form from him? Yes,

:26:14.:26:19.

tremendous. The two countries aren't renowned for their golfing prowess,

:26:20.:26:23.

they are more into their skiing and whatever else they do, make beer! He

:26:24.:26:28.

has been a very good striker of the ball, Thomas. When he putts well,

:26:29.:26:43.

they go in obviously, but Blixt spent a lot of time in the United

:26:44.:26:47.

States. Thomas born is a man you know --

:26:48.:26:53.

Thomas Bjorn is a man he now well. He had three second place finishes

:26:54.:26:57.

in majors, but to be contending at this level once again, what do you

:26:58.:27:01.

see as prospects for him for the weekend? Do you think he can keep

:27:02.:27:05.

this going? I do. I feel like I want to give somebody who is a little bit

:27:06.:27:09.

older an edge over the younger, pack of guys that are, even Bubba Watson

:27:10.:27:15.

in some capacity, I believe Thomas Bjorn knows the course well or

:27:16.:27:19.

better than Bubba Watson, but the difference is in Bubba's mind he

:27:20.:27:23.

knows he has done it here. He can overpower the course, but I look at

:27:24.:27:28.

Thomas Bjorn and I think it is in his heart and head, does he continue

:27:29.:27:32.

to work and continue to practise as hard as he did, you know, maybe

:27:33.:27:36.

doesn't need to practise as hard, but the thing is that as Peter

:27:37.:27:42.

alluded to, he always hit it well. He was this close to having the Open

:27:43.:27:46.

Championship a few years ago. He got unlucky in the bunker there. The

:27:47.:27:49.

ball rolled back and he let that get away. He knows he is capable of

:27:50.:27:54.

pulling this off. Now you just have to do it.

:27:55.:27:58.

That's the hard part. As for the UK challenge, we have a

:27:59.:28:06.

Scotsman and Welshman. It is Stephen Gallacher. He has done what his

:28:07.:28:26.

uncle Bernard Gallacher didn't do. Four times he made bogeys. He is a

:28:27.:28:30.

quiet man. Stephen has been around for a number of years. A suspect on

:28:31.:28:35.

the greens as so many of us are, but when he gets over that and he is

:28:36.:28:43.

settled, physically settled, it goes well. Jamie is the same. They are

:28:44.:28:48.

both, although Steve has been around plodding, Donaldson has appeared

:28:49.:28:52.

really over the last couple of years at that level. Still a bit to go.

:28:53.:28:57.

But a good swing. He strikes the ball well. You can see and feel the

:28:58.:29:02.

self-belief going through this young man. Not so much as a young man, he

:29:03.:29:09.

is a late bloomer, Donaldson. He became known to US audiences after

:29:10.:29:14.

the finish if the stroke play event of the year. What do you make of

:29:15.:29:19.

him? I don't know much about him. I will tell you what to look for today

:29:20.:29:31.

out of him and Thomas Bjorn and Jonas Blixt. Adam Scot has

:29:32.:29:41.

self-belief and confidence. He was ahead at Bay Hill. He dug deep

:29:42.:29:44.

yesterday and was able to make a comeback. If these guys get

:29:45.:29:49.

unravelled and the course is set-up reasonably difficult today. There

:29:50.:29:52.

are opportunities, but boy watch the mindset and see if the jaw drops, if

:29:53.:29:56.

the head drops. Who keeps it together mentally today is really

:29:57.:30:02.

critical? A man who has been stoic and very much an ever present when

:30:03.:30:06.

it comes to the back nine in majors, it is this man, it is Lee Westwood.

:30:07.:30:11.

This was one of the most outrageous putts we have seen for sometime. It

:30:12.:30:15.

took about five changes of direction and in it popped. Lee is in a tie

:30:16.:30:20.

for 15th place as we started the day. A possibility for Lee, could he

:30:21.:30:25.

go a couple of places better than what eight, top three finishes in

:30:26.:30:34.

majors? Those who support him and I have watched him play most of his

:30:35.:30:38.

golfing life, he has the ability to do it. He needs a little bit of good

:30:39.:30:43.

fortune. It is easy to say, what is missing? Nobody really knows because

:30:44.:30:51.

somebody can miss one and you never really know but it would be nice to

:30:52.:30:57.

see him take another step forward. The years are tiptoeing by. The year

:30:58.:31:03.

and the day is starting and this is Bubba Watson, the man in control.

:31:04.:31:09.

This is his third shot so he has that for what would be a very good

:31:10.:31:15.

part. A mistake on the second shot. That is going to be very tricky to

:31:16.:31:21.

make. I would like to add about Lee Westwood, we were talking about Greg

:31:22.:31:26.

Norman and Nick Faldo, Greg Norman has had tournaments snatched from

:31:27.:31:33.

him. Nick Faldo has had, he has been in the right place five of the six

:31:34.:31:37.

times and had somebody lose and him be the victor in that regard, but

:31:38.:31:42.

all credit to anybody who can win a major at any time. It is hard to do.

:31:43.:31:47.

Peter is right, a little bit of good fortune. Maybe Westwood gets in

:31:48.:31:52.

possession, continues to get in position enough, and then all of a

:31:53.:32:07.

sudden it is over. Perhaps it could be his time sometime. Ken is out and

:32:08.:32:14.

about somewhere. I am standing at the back of the

:32:15.:32:18.

range with some of the leaders warming up. One of the key things is

:32:19.:32:22.

how strong is the wind and where is it going from. Some players might

:32:23.:32:27.

take a flag and market on their plan. Not much air at all. I would

:32:28.:32:34.

say it is about a five yard wind. Very little breeze. If we look

:32:35.:32:43.

around at the different flags on the golf course, some of them are hardly

:32:44.:32:49.

moving at all. Some are fluttering in different directions. The yellow

:32:50.:32:54.

ones, slightly lighter flags, that little bit of movement. And through

:32:55.:33:00.

the trees, sometimes it rocks, sometimes it is sheltered, but

:33:01.:33:04.

getting the club selection right and finding out where the breeze is is

:33:05.:33:08.

absolutely critical. If you get it wrong, you can be in all sorts of

:33:09.:33:14.

trouble. We are moments away from live

:33:15.:33:19.

coverage. This is John Senden out in the final pairing a few moments ago.

:33:20.:33:26.

That is a nervy start. We are hearing that Bubba Watson dropped a

:33:27.:33:31.

shot as well. A nervy start for two of them in that last group out on

:33:32.:33:35.

the course. They went out about 20 minutes ago. This is the situation.

:33:36.:33:46.

Jim Furyk has been making great strides with a few birdies. Adam

:33:47.:33:53.

Scott has dropped a shot early on in his round. It is all beginning to

:33:54.:34:01.

move. Fowler also underway. Stephen Gallacher won over after five holes.

:34:02.:34:08.

These guys are going to have to do an awful lot of work. It has never

:34:09.:34:13.

been one from more than eight shots back on the final day here at

:34:14.:34:19.

Augusta. You wonder where the likes of Bernard Langer will be at the end

:34:20.:34:25.

of the day. There are six of the over 50s contending this weekend,

:34:26.:34:29.

the highest praise of whom is Fred Couples, who for a fifth year in a

:34:30.:34:33.

row has started the second half of the tournament in the top ten. Paul

:34:34.:34:39.

and Peter are heading down to the commentary position right now.

:34:40.:34:44.

Meantime, it is time to say good evening, as we start to enjoy the

:34:45.:34:48.

third round, with Ken Brown and Andrew Cotter.

:34:49.:34:54.

What a glorious day it is. We will go straight down to Jonas Blixt.

:34:55.:35:03.

This for a birdie on the second. The Swede has been based in the United

:35:04.:35:08.

States for a long time now. Good scoring already today and the wind

:35:09.:35:13.

not quite what it was yesterday. Slightly easier pin positions. The

:35:14.:35:19.

breeze is light but it is just enough to affect club selection. I

:35:20.:35:23.

think that is what might have caught Bubba Watson out. The par fives are

:35:24.:35:31.

playing the easiest holes on the course. You have got to make hay on

:35:32.:35:38.

those. One of the players who has been going well, Ian Poulter, at the

:35:39.:35:48.

15th. He has slipped a little bit over the last couple of holes that

:35:49.:35:51.

are passed down for a birdie on the par five. -- up and down. You have

:35:52.:36:04.

got plenty of green to work with. That is unbelievable pace. He got up

:36:05.:36:12.

to 2-under par. Thomas Bjorn, a chance for a birdie

:36:13.:36:28.

on the second. That was a nearly one. A 15 time winner on the

:36:29.:36:39.

European Tour, loads of experience. He has twice been runner-up in major

:36:40.:36:42.

Championships. He knows what he has got to do. Down the hill at the

:36:43.:36:49.

second. Senden sends it down there. At bit

:36:50.:37:11.

lucky. It is going to be a long at -- putt. A very sound striker of the

:37:12.:37:27.

ball and has been for a long while. We asked you if Bubba Watson was

:37:28.:37:31.

going to win the Masters, we putt the question out there, and most of

:37:32.:37:33.

you think not. This one heading out to the left. A

:37:34.:37:47.

great shot from Bubba Watson, getting better. And eagle putt to

:37:48.:37:56.

come. A stumble at the first. It might be two shots back at the

:37:57.:37:57.

second. Justin Rose, a good tee shot on the

:37:58.:38:10.

13th. A little plateau. The ball above the feet. Very hard to get on

:38:11.:38:17.

the shelf at the back of this green. Stay there. Nearly perfect. Will it?

:38:18.:38:41.

Please. That is mean. One end for today. -- 1-under. A good shot

:38:42.:38:58.

though. Jordan Spieth. He knew that was in long before it dropped. He

:38:59.:38:59.

looks comfortable. Just 20 years old. He made his debut

:39:00.:39:21.

Masters this year and is up to 13th in the world rankings.

:39:22.:39:28.

Pretty well judged. The simplest of birdies.

:39:29.:39:47.

Perfect condition is out here for golf. Lovely temperatures, nice

:39:48.:39:57.

light. Justin Rose, and eagle putt. He just fell away at the last.

:39:58.:40:08.

He has it right in the middle! Justin Rose, a big band into the red

:40:09.:40:16.

figures. This is what you can do on the back nine at Augusta, especially

:40:17.:40:18.

on the par fives. Miguel Angel Jimenez with a round of

:40:19.:40:42.

66 which included seven birdies. He missed the Masters last year having

:40:43.:40:45.

broken his leg and did not come back into the season until March but it

:40:46.:40:50.

has catapulted Miguel Angel Jimenez right into the heart of things in

:40:51.:40:56.

third place. He can simply sit back and watch everyone else out there.

:40:57.:41:04.

Rickie Fowler on the 16th. Playing 155 today, front right.

:41:05.:41:16.

Lovely. So easy to miss it by a couple of yards to the left and it

:41:17.:41:23.

would fall to the bottom level of the green. It looks like he has had

:41:24.:41:29.

a haircut. You can't tell how severe it is

:41:30.:41:35.

under the lid. A good card though. Both Ian Poulter and Justin Rose

:41:36.:41:51.

started the week with 76. But they are speeding up the leaderboard.

:41:52.:42:08.

Not too bad from there. Sorry about that little outburst. Let's have a

:42:09.:42:31.

look at the man who has won recently. Steven Bowditch. Awesome,

:42:32.:42:42.

says the caddy. That is not awesome, that is quite the opposite.

:42:43.:42:53.

Very nearly awesome. Couples at the treacherous par three. He has played

:42:54.:43:01.

a Gandhi there. That is unbelievable. You have got to be

:43:02.:43:08.

very selective where you miss this one if you are going to do. John

:43:09.:43:20.

Senden, this is for his birdie. He rolled it in nicely. The man from

:43:21.:43:28.

Brisbane. He makes fact that shot he gave away at the first and settles

:43:29.:43:29.

himself down. -- back. A big moment for Bubba Watson. He

:43:30.:43:50.

nudges it forward and it just wriggles in the side also a bogey at

:43:51.:43:54.

the first but he strikes back with an eagle. Roars ring around the golf

:43:55.:44:07.

course. The great thing about the Masters, the noise. Yesterday, Bubba

:44:08.:44:12.

Watson was sensational on the back nine. His tee shot to the 12th. A

:44:13.:44:22.

little bit more breeze yesterday. This was the start of a fantastic

:44:23.:44:30.

run. He set himself up well there. A great second shot into the 13th.

:44:31.:44:41.

This was him at the par five. The second shot to within eight feet or

:44:42.:44:49.

so. He two putted for a birdie. This was a little bonus. Look at this.

:44:50.:44:59.

Look at this. Birdies at 12, 13 and a one in a million at 14. 15, talk

:45:00.:45:07.

about difficult, because anything too strong, it goes beyond the flag

:45:08.:45:11.

and into the water, but it was judged beautifully. He hits the ball

:45:12.:45:16.

a mile but he has got very soft hands around the green and it was

:45:17.:45:28.

another birdie. 9-iron, 176 yards. Birdies at 12, 13, 14, 15 and what

:45:29.:45:40.

would you do at 16? Down she comes. This is a hole in one pin. We did

:45:41.:45:46.

not have one yesterday. Five birdies in a row. He was just really hungry!

:45:47.:45:57.

Let's have a look at this shop here. It looked as if it had gone away to

:45:58.:46:05.

the left. But it was just a thing of beauty. It led to an eagle. We

:46:06.:46:12.

thought, seeing that bogey at the first, early sign of nerves, but you

:46:13.:46:19.

hit back with an eagle and just popped this in to restore a four

:46:20.:46:20.

shot lead. This is how we stand at the moment.

:46:21.:46:32.

Bubba Watson out in front by four shots from Jordan Spieth. Miguel

:46:33.:46:38.

Angel Jimenez showing what can be done in the earlier conditions. 66

:46:39.:46:48.

moves him to 3-under. Kevin Stadler on 2-under par.

:46:49.:46:55.

Justin Rose, as we saw earlier, a beautiful port. Moving in the right

:46:56.:47:00.

direction. Currently tied for 12th. Let's go to the long par-3, fourth

:47:01.:47:19.

hole. Not as long as it has been over the first couple of days.

:47:20.:47:24.

Spieth, steering it down. This judgement. There has not been one

:47:25.:47:31.

birdie here today, that is how awkward that pin position is. There

:47:32.:47:39.

is some wind down there. It is supposed to be five miles per hour,

:47:40.:47:43.

perhaps getting up towards ten mph later on. Jonas Blixt went out to

:47:44.:47:53.

Florida to college. He stayed out here and made his career here.

:47:54.:48:11.

Go on, then. A nice line, the place not quite so good. Look at that

:48:12.:48:23.

coming back. You can see with the hole is cut yet, it is on a little

:48:24.:48:28.

rise. He finished fourth in the PGA Championship last year but this is

:48:29.:48:30.

his debut at Augusta. A slow putt at the hill for Ian

:48:31.:48:36.

Poulter. Delightfully judged. This was earlier as Rickie Fowler,

:48:37.:48:59.

playing alongside Ian Poulter. Another look at that one because it

:49:00.:49:03.

shows how difficult it is to get close to the pin. That is just about

:49:04.:49:05.

as close as you can get. Nice to that. -- 2-putt. This is the

:49:06.:49:39.

result of Jordan Spieth's teashop. -- teashop.

:49:40.:49:51.

Chasing back when, trying to run at the front of the green and he has

:49:52.:50:03.

judged it pretty well, Justin Rose. If you are going to miss that pin,

:50:04.:50:11.

that is probably the easiest spot. Thomas Bjorn, a couple of bars to

:50:12.:50:20.

start. He does not have a good record at the Masters at all. Just

:50:21.:50:25.

one top 20. A solid opening to the third round.

:50:26.:50:41.

Going down the slope at the fourth. It gives you an idea of the speed of

:50:42.:50:52.

the greens. Amazing, isn't it? It is like a boomerang. You were the wrong

:50:53.:50:58.

spot on number four and it is very difficult to get down into.

:50:59.:51:09.

Bubba Watson. It is amazing, the movement in the feet. He can get

:51:10.:51:20.

this 1 million miles away from the green.

:51:21.:51:30.

He should be OK. A little bit of a bank to come. The shortest of the

:51:31.:51:40.

par fours. You have got to decide what you are going to do off the

:51:41.:51:44.

tee. These bunkers originally putt in by Jack Nicklaus. Bubba It is

:51:45.:51:52.

just short of the left-hand bunker. A few murmurs watching that one.

:51:53.:52:08.

That is why. But the pain is at back right today. It is still the same

:52:09.:52:20.

length as it was when it was originally built, 350 yards.

:52:21.:52:49.

Jim Furyk, a chance to get to 4-under par. A friendly pin position

:52:50.:52:55.

on the 60 day. -- six today. Down the slope for Ricky. He has got

:52:56.:53:17.

it in. Well done. It is looking like a neat, tidy card suddenly. Spieth

:53:18.:53:25.

drops a shot at the fourth all thanks to the teashop, a big

:53:26.:53:26.

misjudgement. Let's see if Ian Poulter can finish

:53:27.:54:08.

with his heart on the 16th. -- par. In it goes.

:54:09.:54:20.

A quality shot. I am surprised it did not gather at the more but an

:54:21.:54:42.

obvious chance for a birdie. Justin Rose. Between the sprinkler heads.

:54:43.:54:55.

That is not too bad. So many variables in that shot.

:54:56.:55:04.

We saw Ken earlier Ron was down at Amen Corner and he caught up with an

:55:05.:55:10.

old friend. You can hear the birds of the mower

:55:11.:55:14.

on the green during the final preparations. I am coming up the

:55:15.:55:18.

camera tower. I am going to catch up with an old friend who has been here

:55:19.:55:25.

for so long. You must have a few stories to tell. Under a bit of

:55:26.:55:31.

pressure, having to follow the ball. There has not been a hole in

:55:32.:55:36.

one since I have been here in 22 years. Yesterday, Craig Stadler edit

:55:37.:55:47.

this file. -- hit it this far. Is there pressure? This is the most

:55:48.:55:53.

pressure I feel all year. Any stories? 1997 when Tiger Woods was

:55:54.:56:03.

hurting here. Somebody sliced a ball from the fairway and it landed on

:56:04.:56:07.

the green. He looked at me and I pointed that way. I have known him a

:56:08.:56:13.

long time and I told him it came from across. How difficult is it to

:56:14.:56:21.

follow the ball? We have colour viewfinder is to find the ball. But

:56:22.:56:25.

it is difficult. It makes your heart race. And you are getting spoken to

:56:26.:56:31.

the hole time by different people? Absolutely. We have multiple fields

:56:32.:56:37.

going out. Here. Internet, Amen Corner, CBS. I have a Christmas tree

:56:38.:56:47.

going off with different nights telling me I am on the air. Show us

:56:48.:56:53.

what you have to do. I pretty much stand here like this. Why have you

:56:54.:57:03.

got this around your head? I don't have any light coming in here

:57:04.:57:06.

whatsoever. I followed the ball like this. Sometimes I have to go all the

:57:07.:57:15.

way up here. Thank you very much. The players are under pressure but a

:57:16.:57:18.

lot of other people are as well. Congratulations.

:57:19.:57:23.

A little bit of old school technology. There he is following

:57:24.:57:30.

the ball at Amen Corner. Even before we came on with the live coverage,

:57:31.:57:35.

you can watch Amen Corner, you can watch the practice ground as well.

:57:36.:57:39.

That is online or via the red button. Lee Westwood's birdie

:57:40.:57:43.

attempt. That has been the story of his week.

:57:44.:57:57.

He has missed one or two opportunities. He has not quite made

:57:58.:58:03.

enough birdies, particularly on the par fives. Justin Rose for par on

:58:04.:58:09.

the 14th. Very well done after that eagle on

:58:10.:58:27.

the 13th, he batted with a par and stays 1-under.

:58:28.:58:33.

And this is the situation. Bubba Watson with that four shot lead.

:58:34.:58:37.

John Senden in the closest proximity. Some move from Rickie

:58:38.:58:49.

Fowler. Jim Furyk. Matt Kuchar 2-under for his round. Justin Rose

:58:50.:58:55.

has been motoring. He has had his second eagle of the week. Ian

:58:56.:58:58.

Poulter on the 17th. Bubba Watson after an enormous drive

:58:59.:59:33.

at the third. He could be a little bit disappointed with that. Almost a

:59:34.:59:46.

casual flick of the hands when he plays those shots. Adam Scott for a

:59:47.:59:52.

bogey. That does not look good. Look where it has gone. You have no idea

:59:53.:59:56.

how fast these greens are. Yes. It is on the fairway now. It

:59:57.:00:26.

good tee shot for Justin Rose. Adam Scott is having another go.

:00:27.:00:32.

He gets it. But what a struggle. Not the best of starts. Three shots

:00:33.:00:36.

dropped at the first few holes. Oh, that was really moving. That's

:00:37.:00:57.

what is known as a power lift. Sometimes the players will refer to

:00:58.:01:02.

that as a pain job! And other things! Here is Freddie. Oh, it is

:01:03.:01:13.

going to be one of those days, I fear. The weather is absolutely

:01:14.:01:20.

delightful. They have been coming here for many, many moons and I have

:01:21.:01:24.

never seen a nicer three days. A bit of rain at the beginning of the

:01:25.:01:29.

week, but it is absolutely delightful. Freddie, two bogeys and

:01:30.:01:35.

a couple of birdies. Rickie Fowler has a great round going. 5-under for

:01:36.:01:44.

the day and boy, that was just confidently holed. That's a pretty

:01:45.:01:52.

nice second nine. Took advantage of both par-5s. A wonderful birdie at

:01:53.:02:17.

16. A good save. Oliver Goss, now lives in Australia.

:02:18.:02:21.

He can blame the pitch shot for that.

:02:22.:02:37.

Jonas Blixt, the Swedish player. He is living most of the time in the

:02:38.:02:44.

United States. Well, number three is one of the

:02:45.:03:00.

easier holes on the first nine today.

:03:01.:03:06.

That's a fairly easy hole location as well. A bit of an unforced error

:03:07.:03:25.

there for Senden. Matt Kuchar at the 9th. It is slightly downhill.

:03:26.:03:36.

Is it going to move backwards? I'm not sure I agree with all this

:03:37.:03:45.

stuff. I will They will be quite shocked up in the clubhouse. This

:03:46.:03:49.

isn't golf to me, but they like it. It is all very well to say, you play

:03:50.:03:54.

up there and it comes back, but it is not what you are supposed to do.

:03:55.:04:07.

Justin Rose's second at the 15th. 1-under for the Championship. Will

:04:08.:04:13.

it stay up? No, it will not stay. It will! That's a miracle!

:04:14.:04:27.

Have a bet on him quickly! It is the first time I have ever seen that

:04:28.:04:33.

happen. Now, Poulter for his par at the 17th. Well done, Ian. Well done.

:04:34.:04:38.

Very nicely indeed. STUDIO: It is Ricky Fowler who is

:04:39.:04:58.

motoring now. Rickie Fowler, you might remember was in the lead at

:04:59.:05:06.

the Open, at Royal St George's and finished fifth behind Darren Clarke

:05:07.:05:10.

so he is one to watch. They are fast greens, aren't they? Let's hear from

:05:11.:05:17.

Ken. They look green and they don't look

:05:18.:05:20.

that fast, if you look at the quality of it, it is just amazing,

:05:21.:05:23.

how you can get a plant to grow like that, I don't know. It must be less

:05:24.:05:29.

than two millimetres long that grass. They are always drying out.

:05:30.:05:33.

This afternoon, this is going to be so, so fast. I'm going to nudge a

:05:34.:05:38.

couple of putts down this green and give you an idea of the pace. Hit

:05:39.:05:45.

them quickly. Let's just see. I'm going to wander down with them. They

:05:46.:05:50.

can trickle on. Trickle on. Right around the corner. Come on, boys!

:05:51.:05:56.

Come on! I've just given that for a ten foot and it ran 45 feet. The

:05:57.:06:01.

greens are grease lightening today and they will dry up. My jingle, it

:06:02.:06:07.

will be difficult. Fingers crossed, lads!

:06:08.:06:13.

A test of nerve and patience. Lee Westwood.

:06:14.:06:24.

It is swinging in towards the green. It is a nice shot, indeed. Well

:06:25.:06:26.

done. Matt Kuchar for birdie. He takes

:06:27.:06:56.

advantage. A fantastic start for Matt Kuchar. He is right back in it.

:06:57.:06:59.

The fourth tee, Bubba Watson. Oh. A little shy. But there are

:07:00.:07:20.

worse places you can be on this fourth hole. Well, that's OK Peter

:07:21.:07:24.

because he is below the hole. Where you really get in trouble on four if

:07:25.:07:36.

you are in one of the bunkers. He hasn't lost the magic touch.

:07:37.:07:53.

Ever so careful. It must not touch the ground. Oh boy. Well, will that

:07:54.:07:58.

stay up? Will it stay? Yes! I have always

:07:59.:08:05.

found it a little unnerving when you know the ball can go backwards just

:08:06.:08:10.

because of the weight of your footstep.

:08:11.:08:19.

Bubba is just short of the green. Senden bunker left.

:08:20.:08:30.

This is the view from behind the 16th green.

:08:31.:08:40.

STUDIO: There is the card of Rory McIlroy. 71 today for Rory, but it

:08:41.:08:47.

was the 7 # 7 yesterday that spoiled his chances. He is with Rishi.

:08:48.:08:52.

Rory, what was that like? Your experience of going out first on a

:08:53.:08:57.

Saturday at the Masters? I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the round. It is not

:08:58.:09:01.

an experience I want to really have again. It was nice to do it once and

:09:02.:09:06.

I will try not to let it happen again, but you know, the course was,

:09:07.:09:10.

you know, we were first out there and the course was fiery from the

:09:11.:09:14.

start. So you know, the guys are going to find it, you know, pretty

:09:15.:09:19.

interesting this afternoon. What do you get out of a round like that?

:09:20.:09:24.

Not much. I mean it was nice to see a couple of putts drop in the back

:09:25.:09:31.

nine. You know, I shot under par. I felt I played well enough to shoot

:09:32.:09:36.

something a lot lower, but it is just, the way the golf course is

:09:37.:09:40.

set-up, it is hard to go really low out there and you know, I see Gary

:09:41.:09:45.

Woodland going really well, but that will be the exception today. I think

:09:46.:09:51.

Gary, anything around 70 or 69 will be a really, really good effort out

:09:52.:09:54.

there this afternoon. Is it possible to pick out one or two real

:09:55.:10:01.

potential points of danger? Yeah, I mean, I don't think 11 and 12 are

:10:02.:10:05.

going to play as hard as they were the first couple of days, they have

:10:06.:10:08.

put the pin on the right-hand side at 11. Some tricky pins on the front

:10:09.:10:16.

nine. The first hole, for example, back left, you have got to be really

:10:17.:10:23.

careful of that one. There is a few, the sixth hole, the fifth hole, even

:10:24.:10:28.

the fourth, you know, I hit a five iron as high as I could and I

:10:29.:10:31.

couldn't even stop it within 30 feet of the hole. There is a few that

:10:32.:10:36.

are, a few pins that are out there that are going to be tough to get

:10:37.:10:38.

up. Rory, thank you. Thank you. I don't know what they feed them on,

:10:39.:10:53.

but it certainly wasn't around in my youth!

:10:54.:10:58.

He was very fortunate not to go back in the water. Up the hill, right to

:10:59.:11:01.

left. Running well. Oh, what a bonus! What

:11:02.:11:18.

a bonus there, Paul. Two or three shot swing at least. Rose to

:11:19.:11:33.

4-under. Just six shots back, but if one guy stumbles he is right in the

:11:34.:11:41.

mix. Henrik Stenson was many people's

:11:42.:11:49.

pick for Augusta. A par-3 across the water. Nicely, nicely, nicely. Bubba

:11:50.:12:04.

left this right below the hill. A fairly easy up and down. Oh slow

:12:05.:12:09.

down. Slow down. Oh my goodness! This next one will be a

:12:10.:12:15.

knee-knocker. Chipping is very difficult. I noticed that the last

:12:16.:12:21.

couple of days, Paul. Getting the ball close is really tricky. Rickie

:12:22.:12:30.

Fowler, coming up the hill. Oh yes, that will do! That will do very

:12:31.:12:34.

nicely, indeed! APPLAUSE

:12:35.:12:41.

Ricky is in the midst of a swing change. It is all coming together

:12:42.:12:49.

for him. Jordan Spieth, 179 yards down the hill. Just carried the

:12:50.:12:59.

bunker. That's a big eight iron. Will it go down? That's a terrific

:13:00.:13:13.

shot. That will be a fast putt. Left to right breaker. What a great

:13:14.:13:16.

opportunity. Now bubba for par, Peter.

:13:17.:13:20.

Well, as you say, this is just a little touch and if it has pace and

:13:21.:13:25.

it catches the edge of the hole, it can go miles by. Too high. He is

:13:26.:13:34.

afraid of it. He was nervous. A shot dropped.

:13:35.:13:40.

Well, that's a shame because that's exactly where you would like to

:13:41.:13:47.

leave your tee shot if you don't get it on the green. Fowler at the 18th.

:13:48.:13:52.

Can he finish off with a nice three? A bit of swing on this.

:13:53.:14:03.

They just don't gather in. A chance missed.

:14:04.:14:14.

Only 155 yards, but you better pay full attention.

:14:15.:14:21.

It has to be the exact right distance and the players will take

:14:22.:14:24.

dead aim. Nice rhythm. A beauty. Steady

:14:25.:14:45.

though, steady. That's good. The wind is freshening down that bottom

:14:46.:14:52.

corner, Paul, you see the flag moving? That's a very well

:14:53.:14:56.

constructed round of golf for the young fella. 34, 33. Thomas Bjorn

:14:57.:15:11.

for birdie at the fifth. Up the hill, a big left to right.

:15:12.:15:18.

It is tough to judge. That's one of those you would have hit 15 or 20 of

:15:19.:15:25.

them on the practise days. Players for the most part know where the

:15:26.:15:30.

holes will be cut here, especially somebody like Thomas Bjorn who has

:15:31.:15:36.

been here year in and year out. Ian Poulter at the 18th.

:15:37.:15:41.

Boom! APPLAUSE

:15:42.:15:56.

Two nicely played rounds. STUDIO: Bubba Watson has a healthy

:15:57.:16:07.

cushion. This is the situation as we see, John Senden there. Let's get

:16:08.:16:12.

back to him. He is in the last group out with bubba.

:16:13.:16:15.

-- Bubba. An excellent bunker shot for Senden

:16:16.:16:20.

and a nice putt for par. Now Blixt. Way left. Has he got it

:16:21.:16:47.

right? He has. Every putt is an adventure, isn't it? Really. It is

:16:48.:16:50.

almost like the greens are made of, I don't know, polished steel. Bubba

:16:51.:16:58.

with that beautiful swing. He zips it away. Look how far Senden's drive

:16:59.:17:12.

went. He needs to be aggressive here. It

:17:13.:17:23.

is one of the few putts where you don't have to play defence. Maybe!

:17:24.:17:34.

Well, the numbers of times these putts just skip by the edge of the

:17:35.:17:42.

hole. Spieth gets one in. Well done! He is moving up. Well, he continues

:17:43.:17:52.

to amaze. He appears to be an excellent fast green putter. Well,

:17:53.:17:59.

they are all gathering around and while they are enjoying things, we

:18:00.:18:03.

have Thomas Bjorn having putted up very well from the front of the

:18:04.:18:09.

green. He gets one in. Well holed. All the putts a real test of skill

:18:10.:18:11.

and nerve. A wonderful shot by Rose in a nine

:18:12.:18:26.

iron to here at 16 down the hill. Left to right breaker. Delicate.

:18:27.:18:34.

Just a tap. Oh, it is not going right at all. Oh my gosh. Well, what

:18:35.:18:47.

a surprise. He is playing well today. 4-under par today. 2-under

:18:48.:19:05.

par for the tournament. Matt Kuchar at the 10th.

:19:06.:19:10.

What a lovely roll. It didn't disappear.

:19:11.:19:20.

A seven iron for Blixt down the hill. Look at it go. That ball was a

:19:21.:19:39.

mile in the air and you still see how much it released. This is a hole

:19:40.:19:47.

that's been lengthened so much over the years and I honestly don't think

:19:48.:19:51.

it has been improved. It has been made more difficult, but this is a

:19:52.:20:00.

very, very strong par-4 now. It used to be get your drive away straight

:20:01.:20:04.

and then you played up to this narrow green. But he has done the

:20:05.:20:09.

first bit all right, but still much danger lurking.

:20:10.:20:17.

He is leaning like he pulled it maybe. Oh, stay there. I think it

:20:18.:20:32.

will stay. Yeah, it is OK. Westwood on the tee at the 12th. The flag on

:20:33.:20:42.

the left side of the screen today. Tucked in the corner. A nice shot.

:20:43.:20:58.

Senden will be here at the 5th hole. It is out to the right and he will

:20:59.:21:07.

have to watch his trajectory here. He will run this up on the green and

:21:08.:21:14.

up on top of the hill. Yeah, a nice little knockdown. Has he judged it

:21:15.:21:20.

correctly? Oh, wow, that's not going to make it, I don't feel. That

:21:21.:21:26.

landed really soft, Peter. It is cruel really. He played that very

:21:27.:21:29.

well, but it will stop just on the edge of it. An impossibly difficult

:21:30.:21:33.

putt left. Louis Oosthuizen. He is always ta a

:21:34.:21:54.

delight to watch. He was plagued with injuries. His demeanors

:21:55.:22:01.

matches. He is not a huge man. A good middleweight, I suppose, but

:22:02.:22:04.

everything looks so easy and comfortable.

:22:05.:22:15.

He didn't like the sound of that. Is it water? Yes.

:22:16.:22:27.

Bubba's second at the 5th. He is hitting another big cut. He

:22:28.:22:34.

normally hits a big hook with his irons, but naes not what is required

:22:35.:22:38.

here -- that's not what is required here. You don't always have to be

:22:39.:22:42.

close to the hole here at Augusta, the fans know it. They appreciate

:22:43.:22:44.

that. Kevin Stadler is going along well.

:22:45.:23:05.

Come on down. That could be very nice if it keeps going and turning.

:23:06.:23:10.

No, it is slowing up. A good shot. A tricky putt left. They are all

:23:11.:23:13.

tricky putts. Jim Furyk at the 8th. A fairly long

:23:14.:23:25.

way away. A chance for birdie. A lot of under par scores today. You

:23:26.:23:39.

just get the feeling there is 50 guys that are comfortable and free

:23:40.:23:43.

wheeling and one guy who is nervous, the guy out in front with everything

:23:44.:23:52.

to lose in Bubba Watson. There is plenty of good scores on

:23:53.:23:58.

the front half today, for sure. Thomas Bjorn at the 6th. A big

:23:59.:24:03.

swing. Steady. Steady. Looks good. Oh, what a bonus. What a bonus!

:24:04.:24:13.

APPLAUSE Well, well, well. You never know, do

:24:14.:24:16.

you? Westwood at the 12th. He is going

:24:17.:24:36.

along nicely. He needs to hole a putt or two, Paul? Yes, he needs a

:24:37.:24:41.

couple of the unexpected. Something in the 15 to 20 foot range. It is a

:24:42.:24:47.

very makeable putt here. Probably the easiest green on the course. Oh,

:24:48.:24:49.

that's a lost chance. He knows it. I watched Spieth warm up today of

:24:50.:25:11.

the it is a slightly open stance. The club face is wide open at the

:25:12.:25:18.

top. Beautiful. The release might be thin. He knew it the whole time.

:25:19.:25:25.

That can be a very difficult bunker shot down there depending on the

:25:26.:25:29.

lie, Peter, he won't be able to see but barely the top of the flag. Now

:25:30.:25:40.

Blixt at the 6th. Can he do a Bjorn? He is not doing bad. Oh! Both of

:25:41.:25:57.

them going along very nicely indeed. Well, every player in the field hits

:25:58.:26:16.

practise putts from here to where this hole is cut or where they

:26:17.:26:24.

believe it is cut. Then three days elapses and you have got to do it in

:26:25.:26:28.

the last group. Not a very good effort. The second shot to the 17th

:26:29.:26:31.

for Justin, Justin Rose. He doesn't look best pleased. Has he

:26:32.:26:47.

pulled it or tugged it? Yes. That's left him a very interesting shot

:26:48.:26:49.

from there. Now Bubba. This is for birdie. It is

:26:50.:27:14.

a putt you had to be defensive on. You want to get out of there with a

:27:15.:27:26.

par. He has done that. It is it the 10th. Kevin Stadler. This is a

:27:27.:27:31.

little touchy one down the left side. He is up and after it. It is

:27:32.:27:34.

going right. Rule Henley. A big swinger. He is

:27:35.:28:00.

trying to feed it in. That's perfect, Russell Henley! Oh, those

:28:01.:28:05.

are so nice when they go in. What a scorecard. Look at that. Birdie,

:28:06.:28:14.

birdie, up and down. If the lie is good, this isn't that

:28:15.:28:18.

difficult. Once he gets over it, he can barely see the top of the flag.

:28:19.:28:30.

Easy-peasy! Played it too well. APPLAUSE

:28:31.:28:39.

This is to avoid another three putt. Watch out! Look at it go. It looks

:28:40.:28:50.

dead in, doesn't it? It just moves across. Now he has a three footer

:28:51.:28:57.

coming back. Maybe a four footer. Maybe a meter?

:28:58.:29:05.

A good looking second shot. He didn't quite get up to the green. A

:29:06.:29:20.

shot dropped. Scott with a rough start. He started poorly yesterday

:29:21.:29:24.

and clawed his way back. A chance for birdie here at seven.

:29:25.:29:36.

STUDIO: Ian Poulter wept on one of those charges. Then he turned for

:29:37.:29:43.

home and things got a little bit sticky coming around Amen Corner

:29:44.:29:50.

into 14 and 15. However, he is always game and exciting to watch.

:29:51.:29:54.

Let's get his thoughts. On the face of it, it looks a fine

:29:55.:30:00.

performance, but I suspect it is one that frustrated you today? Yes, you

:30:01.:30:03.

could say that. I'm raging yet again. 70 on Friday, 70 on Saturday

:30:04.:30:09.

and it is not really a true reflection of how I've played. I'm

:30:10.:30:12.

disgusted with the way I finished today. I got myself in a great

:30:13.:30:17.

position, was 4 under for the round and couldn't see myself making any

:30:18.:30:21.

mistakes. I, you know, three putted from the back edge of seven and then

:30:22.:30:30.

pulled a wedge on 12. And didn't take advantage of 13 and 15 when I

:30:31.:30:35.

was in perfect position on both holes and you know, a simple bogey

:30:36.:30:40.

on 14 as well. I'm disgusted with the round of golf which looks pretty

:30:41.:30:45.

good and yet I'm still in position to have a run at the guys tomorrow,

:30:46.:30:55.

but I should have been closer. You are still in a decent position. How

:30:56.:30:59.

realistic is it to think you might intend on Sunday? We will have to

:31:00.:31:06.

see what Bubba does on this golf course. Guys should be able to make

:31:07.:31:12.

plenty of birdies and I would expect him to make quite a few birdies as

:31:13.:31:16.

well. There are holes out there which you can make simple mistakes

:31:17.:31:22.

on but I am going to have to have a run at him on Sunday. Thank you.

:31:23.:31:25.

Good luck tomorrow. After having a good round, you just

:31:26.:31:36.

pick out the spot where you could have been better.

:31:37.:31:48.

Another rough front nine. Justin Rose for his birdie on the 17th. We

:31:49.:31:57.

thought this might be tricky. He is going to have to go very close.

:31:58.:32:07.

A very difficult shot. You can see selected groups, there are a couple

:32:08.:32:15.

down at the bottom which you can watch on the special feeds we have

:32:16.:32:27.

this year. Jordan Spieth. A nice part is saved for speed there. His

:32:28.:32:38.

second shot ended up in the bunker. Bubba At the sixth, 8-iron. An

:32:39.:32:52.

interesting putt to come. There was a Thursday pin position there. There

:32:53.:32:57.

might be a nice one tomorrow as well. Jonas Blixt, almost no chance

:32:58.:33:08.

to get this on the green. He is going to just try and get it on the

:33:09.:33:13.

greenside bunker. He will have to see which he feels is the best to

:33:14.:33:17.

play his next shot from. He is looking straight up. That sounded

:33:18.:33:21.

heavy. The green glove does not really go

:33:22.:33:43.

with the outfit. Ken Green used to wear one. He was colour by --

:33:44.:33:50.

colourblind. His wife used to dress him and she did not like him very

:33:51.:33:52.

much. His ex-wife. Bjorn second shot perfectly placed

:33:53.:34:32.

at the seventh. An aggressive swing. Right by the flag. Will it come

:34:33.:34:34.

back? No. That is a good shot. Rose for his

:34:35.:34:40.

fourth. That was a rather weird putt. A

:34:41.:34:59.

shame so close to home. -- week putt. Just one hole to go. Kuchar

:35:00.:35:13.

from the right of the green. He missed to the right. That has been

:35:14.:35:23.

the bailout. A high tariff shot from Lee Westwood.

:35:24.:35:29.

Executed pretty well, he came down off that downslope. Fiddly.

:35:30.:35:51.

Heading towards the sand. Short putts can be difficult around

:35:52.:36:17.

Augusta. We have had another of

:36:18.:36:20.

correspondence about how the players hit the ball in two cup. A lot of

:36:21.:36:24.

them seem to hit them very bravely but when you get these downhill, you

:36:25.:36:29.

have got a decision to make. You can drop it in the front edge or you can

:36:30.:36:33.

be brave and bullied them in. You just have to ask yourself that

:36:34.:36:37.

question but you have got to make your mind and before you do it. I am

:36:38.:36:41.

going to try and hit this a little softer. The Brave one is, I am going

:36:42.:36:49.

to whack this one in firmly. The trouble is, if you miss it, oh dear.

:36:50.:36:56.

That is what happens. Before you know it, you have got one a bit

:36:57.:37:01.

longer. Standing over these Short putts, you have got to decide, are

:37:02.:37:07.

you going to be brave or you going to drop it in the front door.

:37:08.:37:12.

Neither is easy, particularly when you are feeling nervous.

:37:13.:37:18.

Lots of nerves around here today and here is one such had from Matt

:37:19.:37:20.

Kuchar. It is to drop a shot. Bubba Watson is going to have a putt

:37:21.:37:41.

which is probably going to break 15 feet.

:37:42.:37:54.

Well, an unforced error of the tee. That is going to be all he can

:37:55.:38:05.

handle for par. But he had green in regulation. Jonas Blixt. This is

:38:06.:38:13.

where he went over the back of the sand. Very narrow from front to back

:38:14.:38:20.

and he has done very well. APPLAUSE.

:38:21.:38:28.

That is quite a shot Blixt play from the trees to get there. Westwood is

:38:29.:38:34.

going to have a decision to make year. It is so sticky up the hill

:38:35.:38:41.

and it gets so fast after. Steady. That is really well done.

:38:42.:38:54.

STUDIO: the third day of the Masters, always drama guaranteed in

:38:55.:39:07.

this picturesque corner. One of the most sought-after real estate is

:39:08.:39:11.

anyway in the world. This is going to test your metal around Amen

:39:12.:39:15.

Corner. The beautiful greens around Augusta and the yellow flags. Here

:39:16.:39:24.

is Jamie Donaldson. Some down golf ford Jamie Donaldson

:39:25.:39:25.

today. Started 1-under. That is ten yards further on. Settle

:39:26.:39:43.

down. Stay there. I have a very forceful voice. You will do that out

:39:44.:39:53.

of the water. Well done. That was a good break followed by a bad break.

:39:54.:40:01.

Justin Rose luckily stayed out of the bunker. He is going to loft this

:40:02.:40:03.

in two the air. That releases beautifully at the

:40:04.:40:18.

green and Justin Rose with a chance to close with 68 for the day if he

:40:19.:40:28.

can hold that at. Bubba Watson for a part on the sixth. This could be his

:40:29.:40:39.

first three parts of the tournament. -- three putt. There it is. He has

:40:40.:40:48.

already had three bogeys in his first six holes today. It is all

:40:49.:40:50.

change. Wow. That is some hardware. He

:40:51.:41:06.

needed those trees on the left at seven. He tried to make no worse

:41:07.:41:21.

than a bogey. Lee Westwood. Birdie. Confidently done and Westwood now

:41:22.:41:27.

just four behind Bubba Watson. Things are condensing a little bit.

:41:28.:41:37.

Jordan Spieth, such a nice wedge player. That is going to run off.

:41:38.:41:49.

Stay. Stay. Not a great shot. But a chance for a birdie. He will not be

:41:50.:41:56.

able to ground the club here. He is inside that yellow hazard line. That

:41:57.:42:00.

makes it a little bit more difficult.

:42:01.:42:04.

Good effort. He is trying to stem the tide of bogeys today, Donaldson.

:42:05.:42:20.

A look at Hunter Mahan. Second shot at 18. That sounded good.

:42:21.:42:27.

And it is good. It is really good! A disappointing day for Hunter but

:42:28.:42:36.

that is a nice way to finish. Jim Furyk sneaking along. All the

:42:37.:42:58.

way. Beautifully judged. The red use a different putter last week. --

:42:59.:43:08.

Furyk. This is one hole, he lives to use the driver on this course, Bubba

:43:09.:43:13.

Watson, but seven is the only straight, straight hole year. But he

:43:14.:43:20.

does not feel that comfortable here. But he has the advantage of having

:43:21.:43:28.

so much power. He lives to faded with the driver. It is a great

:43:29.:43:38.

course for him with the driver. Stadler.

:43:39.:43:48.

A good effort. I think Craig is out there watching today after missing

:43:49.:43:58.

the cut. That is Craig Stadler's last Masters this year. He will only

:43:59.:44:02.

be yet to watch Kevin in future. STUDIO: a quick reflection on a man

:44:03.:44:09.

who has already finished. Six birdies including back-to-back

:44:10.:44:14.

at 15 and 16. His best round at Augusta.

:44:15.:44:20.

I saw you walking out onto the first team today and I saw a determination

:44:21.:44:27.

in your right. Did you feel you had 67 in you? It was going to be tough

:44:28.:44:32.

but I have been swinging well and I needed to go out there and eliminate

:44:33.:44:36.

as many mistakes as possible and take advantage of the par fives

:44:37.:44:41.

which I have not done this week. Torgerson through the prospects of

:44:42.:44:46.

contending on Sunday at the Masters. I have not been in contention here

:44:47.:44:51.

and it has been fun to see Bubba Watson all of the big three in the

:44:52.:44:54.

play-off and being there to watch it and be able to support him. I have

:44:55.:45:00.

not been in the situation but I have been around to see it so I am hoping

:45:01.:45:04.

to be in that situation. Good luck tomorrow.

:45:05.:45:09.

Jamie Donaldson back on the 11th. He deserved that. His second shot was

:45:10.:45:21.

pretty tidy. A huge bounce off to the left, nearly in the water.

:45:22.:45:29.

STUDIO: This is the first Masters in almost 20 years without Tiger Woods.

:45:30.:45:34.

Will he go back to Royal Lytham where he won all those years ago?

:45:35.:45:45.

The Irish. Greg Norman, the champion for 1986.

:45:46.:46:00.

He has got it! Those cold black eyes.

:46:01.:46:11.

Would you believe that? He has done it.

:46:12.:46:21.

Royal Liverpool, Tiger recuperating after back surgery. We hope you will

:46:22.:46:26.

be back for that. But for now it is all about Augusta.

:46:27.:46:33.

Beautiful scenes around the course. They are scenes most people will

:46:34.:46:43.

know. It is such a familiar course. Beautiful but deadly, the water

:46:44.:46:44.

around this course. The slopes of this course as well,

:46:45.:46:56.

as you can see from the camera, Lee Westwood standing above the ball.

:46:57.:47:02.

The Augusta National always keeps you off balance and a lot of that is

:47:03.:47:08.

because of the angles. The ball below his feet and often time it is

:47:09.:47:12.

said that when the ball is below a player's free, they headed to the

:47:13.:47:17.

right but I find that most good players headed to the left. -- hit

:47:18.:47:22.

it. Still some work to do. Let's have a look at some facts and

:47:23.:47:41.

figures. A huge number of the over 50s brigade. Fred Couples, the man

:47:42.:47:47.

who is going best of all. 54 years old. Miguel Angel Jimenez, 50 years

:47:48.:48:01.

old now. Hunter Mahan, this is for birdie.

:48:02.:48:14.

Bubba, after the iron off the tee, it is quite a long way back. It is a

:48:15.:48:26.

narrow green from front to back and he has gone long. He let go of that

:48:27.:48:32.

just passed impact. He is not clicking on all cylinders. As I said

:48:33.:48:38.

earlier, it is a lot easier to sleep on the league than it is to wake up

:48:39.:48:42.

with it. Jordan Spieth for a birdie. It is a long way.

:48:43.:48:49.

You can just hear the nerves jangling today. It is the weekend of

:48:50.:48:53.

the Masters. A good round for Justin Rose, 69. A

:48:54.:49:10.

front nine of 1-under and that eagle on 13, a birdie at the 15th, a bogey

:49:11.:49:16.

at the 17th and that is what he is thinking about there. Adam Scott,

:49:17.:49:24.

for over on his round today. The jobs of a birdie and he has got it.

:49:25.:49:32.

-- chants. You can send your questions in on Twitter. When will

:49:33.:49:37.

long handled putter is get banned in the Majors? 2016 is the answer to

:49:38.:49:46.

that. Jim Furyk with the more conventional club.

:49:47.:50:00.

2003 US Open champion in Chicago. He came close here in 1998. He was

:50:01.:50:05.

fourth. You were close that year. I finished

:50:06.:50:18.

three back in 1998. I won't remind you of that. That is OK. You lose

:50:19.:50:26.

sleep over it even when you are that close.

:50:27.:50:35.

That is OK. Short is the big mistake there. Now the magical Bubba

:50:36.:50:46.

Watson, it will require all his skills here. This is very fast.

:50:47.:50:54.

Settle down. That is rolling off. That could go all the way of the

:50:55.:51:00.

green. It is going to stay. That is just an eyelash away from 25 yards

:51:01.:51:08.

short of the green. Looking twitchy. Staring eyes.

:51:09.:51:15.

He has played beautiful golf so far over the first two days. A very

:51:16.:51:20.

different game today. Jordan Spieth. Down she goes, down the hill.

:51:21.:51:45.

STUDIO: An eventful day for Justin Rose. Let's hear from him right now.

:51:46.:51:52.

How well did you play today? I played well today, I am pleased with

:51:53.:52:00.

that. It was a roller-coaster of a round. I got an eagle and the next

:52:01.:52:08.

couple of holes I was trying to settle down. I got in two a good

:52:09.:52:13.

rhythm and made a good eagle at 13. I got a bit lucky at 15, my ball

:52:14.:52:19.

staying at. All in all, a great day, but I felt I had an opportunity to

:52:20.:52:23.

finish at 3-under and that would have been exciting for tomorrow but

:52:24.:52:28.

I am still in it. Torgerson through the chip at three. It is a blind

:52:29.:52:34.

shot from here but I knew I had to keep it right of the pin. That got

:52:35.:52:45.

me up and running. The leaderboard at the condensed at the moment. How

:52:46.:52:49.

do you think your prospects are for tomorrow? I just saw Bubba Watson

:52:50.:52:55.

struggling at seven and going back to five so I am right in it. When

:52:56.:53:00.

you have posted your score, you are always in the hands of the leaders

:53:01.:53:04.

but I am a lot better than I was on Thursday so at least I have got a

:53:05.:53:09.

shout going in two tomorrow. Well played. Good luck tomorrow.

:53:10.:53:15.

At the moment, a lot of players are coming back in two this. Bjorn is

:53:16.:53:23.

right there. I thought that was going to grab there. It is getting

:53:24.:53:31.

so much harder. They have a system underneath the greens that will suck

:53:32.:53:41.

the moisture out of them. Can he save par? The second-round leader,

:53:42.:53:49.

Bubba Watson, steel with a two shot lead. Aggressive. Confident. It just

:53:50.:54:01.

slides by. Ten of the last 12 second round leaders did not win the

:54:02.:54:06.

tournament. Only two of the last 12 have gone on to win. And only a

:54:07.:54:10.

one-shot lead. He was five shots clear. One bogey in the first 36

:54:11.:54:23.

holes. 30 minutes ago, he was five shots clear.

:54:24.:54:33.

He will have watched that shot of Thomas Bjorn's Sony will bounce it

:54:34.:54:41.

in there. There was not much grip to be had and that is still running

:54:42.:54:45.

away. You can see there is a little bit of wind. We thought it was going

:54:46.:54:50.

to lift the two ten mph and it is enough. You can see the difference

:54:51.:55:00.

in experience. Blixt on the right, Bjorn on the left. Stadler. Just a

:55:01.:55:03.

little harder. Lee Westwood, any putt across the

:55:04.:55:25.

14th green is not nice. It looks pretty good. It looks very, very

:55:26.:55:28.

good. That will do. Watch it. No. Interesting how you

:55:29.:55:55.

saw almost no balls go in the water when the hole was on the right side

:55:56.:56:05.

of the green. Donaldson taps in for his part. He remains to over.

:56:06.:56:13.

A par putt for Westwood. That is a fine putt. He is going along nicely.

:56:14.:56:28.

He is right back in this event. He is only three shots of Bubba

:56:29.:56:33.

Watson's lead. We were talking about the wind beginning to lift.

:56:34.:56:39.

The 12th is the shortest hole on the golf course. Today it is about 138

:56:40.:56:44.

yards. But it has been very difficult. It is the second most

:56:45.:56:49.

difficult hole on the golf course. Why is that? Because club selection

:56:50.:56:52.

is so pretty. The wind swirled about. If you look at the 12th, the

:56:53.:56:58.

flag is not moving at all at the moment. I am going to put a couple

:56:59.:57:02.

of relaxing and see what happens. You can see, it just keeps moving

:57:03.:57:08.

around and around. Then you go to a higher level, that is where the ball

:57:09.:57:13.

is going to travel, and see which direction it is moving in. You can

:57:14.:57:19.

see how much stronger the breeze is and how the wind keeps swirling in

:57:20.:57:25.

directions so it is very confusing. When you are aiming at this green,

:57:26.:57:28.

it is only 12 paces wide, over the water, slightness judgement you are

:57:29.:57:34.

going to find the water. Indecision leads to indecisive swings. This is

:57:35.:57:45.

a really tricky hole. -- slightest misjudgement.

:57:46.:58:01.

There is not too much of a breeze today but it is beginning to lift a

:58:02.:58:09.

little bit. Blixt is really a victim of laying out to the right. He did

:58:10.:58:13.

not have any chance to get that third shot close. That is a nice

:58:14.:58:21.

flag. Somebody has asked the question, why don't we see more

:58:22.:58:26.

coloured gloves? White gloves are softer because they don't have the

:58:27.:58:34.

colouring in them. Bubba Watson with the driver. He has driven

:58:35.:58:43.

beautifully the hole tournament. He takes the bunkers out of play. That

:58:44.:58:51.

is a thunderous tee shot. Thomas Bjorn, that third shot of his looks

:58:52.:58:53.

very good. Phil Morgan on the back which is the

:58:54.:58:57.

caddy who was with Ian Woosnam. Jim Furyk at the 11th. That is a

:58:58.:59:37.

pretty good shot. Stay there. Not quite brave enough to get it pin

:59:38.:59:38.

high. Downhill it goes and around the

:59:39.:59:46.

corner to the left. Thomas Bjorn now at the 9th. It is a

:59:47.:00:23.

little more to the right and well, the crowd likes it. Oh, yes, that's

:00:24.:00:33.

perfect. Look at it go. Look at it go! Matt Kuchar putting at the 13th.

:00:34.:00:44.

This is for a birdie. He rattled it in. He is struggling at the 11th and

:00:45.:01:09.

his woes continue. Dropped shots are lurking every

:01:10.:01:14.

where. It is difficult Peter, when you dig a hole here on a Saturday

:01:15.:01:18.

and you try to get it back, you end up making mo mistakes.
