Relegation, promotion, the `gony and the ecstasy. You will find `ll the | :00:08. | :00:12.
stories here on Late Kick Off. Tonight, with one of the region s | :00:13. | :00:33.
clubs teetering on the brink of the dreaded drop to non`league football, | :00:34. | :00:36.
two more have a keen eye on replacing them. We have followed the | :00:37. | :00:39.
club all the way down to thd conference and now hopefullx back up | :00:40. | :00:43.
again. Paul McVeigh heads to the gym to meet Leon McKenzie, a man who's | :00:44. | :00:46.
faced down depression in st`rtling fashion. We've the best of the | :00:47. | :00:51.
action from the weekend, including a cracker against Crewe for | :00:52. | :00:54.
Peterborough United. And a late late show from MK Dons means we re | :00:55. | :00:56.
guaranteed a smile from the chairs. Yes, hello. Good evening. Wdlcome to | :00:57. | :01:06.
week two of our new series. The grin is clear to see as we're delighted | :01:07. | :01:09.
to welcome MK Dons boss Karl Robinson on to the LKO hot seat I | :01:10. | :01:17.
heard you were sprinting down the touchline. Jogging. Very excited. It | :01:18. | :01:25.
was a wonder strike from Georgia. He's here keeping our residdnt guest | :01:26. | :01:31.
Paul McVeigh company. And what better way to start the show than by | :01:32. | :01:35.
taking a look at how Karl's side fared in the West Country this | :01:36. | :01:38.
weekend, paying a visit to Swindon Town's County Ground. You ndver gave | :01:39. | :01:41.
up. I think to be fair to the players, they have been good all | :01:42. | :01:44.
season. A nice touch from md early on. They have been brilliant for me | :01:45. | :01:54.
all season. We were probablx the better team at this point. Ht really | :01:55. | :01:59.
shook as for the next 20 minutes. To be fair to the players, thex came | :02:00. | :02:04.
out in the second half and they were magnificent. And the finish was | :02:05. | :02:09.
fantastic. What is the char`cter of your side at the moment? Yot have | :02:10. | :02:14.
gone through the mill with hnjuries. Yes, it just shows on this clip a | :02:15. | :02:20.
wonderful tackle. And almost five minutes later, the player who kept | :02:21. | :02:27.
us in it puts us level. He lade a great tackle defensively and then he | :02:28. | :02:32.
goes into the other box and scores the goal. We have worked on trying | :02:33. | :02:36.
to get some of the best headers of the ball is and thankfully ht came | :02:37. | :02:45.
off. Coming inside on his wdaker foot, they are the things that | :02:46. | :02:52.
players practice. They do not always get it in practice, if I am honest. | :02:53. | :02:57.
I haven't some of them hitthng the corner flag. But George has come | :02:58. | :03:05.
into the side and has worked hard. He has worked very hard. Under the | :03:06. | :03:10.
shadow of his brother for m`ny years. Let's take a look at your | :03:11. | :03:17.
fixture list. You have a cotple of regional derbies. A crucial month. | :03:18. | :03:23.
Most of us are just looking at the next game and with all due respect, | :03:24. | :03:26.
I cannot start worrying abott the game beyond. You cannot belheve that | :03:27. | :03:35.
Notts County are bottom of the league because of the squad they | :03:36. | :03:41.
have got. Yes, Sean has dond a great job and they have started to find a | :03:42. | :03:50.
bit of form. They have some really good players at the top end of the | :03:51. | :03:54.
pitch. We are under no illusions how difficult it is going to be. A quick | :03:55. | :03:59.
win on Stevenage. There is `lways a bit of needle. It was a medha thing | :04:00. | :04:06.
that got out of hand on my behalf. I spoke to Graham. I was in the wrong. | :04:07. | :04:11.
Maybe he took things in the wrong way. We are best friends now. He's a | :04:12. | :04:18.
good guy and I really hope for the area that Stevenage is fearlessly. | :04:19. | :04:23.
That is good enough for us. Plenty still to come, with the verx best of | :04:24. | :04:26.
the weekend's action featurhng the rest of the region's teams, | :04:27. | :04:29.
including one of the perforlances of the week. The good folk at London | :04:30. | :04:33.
Road enjoyed a six goal thrhller as Posh maintain their promotion bid. | :04:34. | :04:36.
And we don the LKO gloves for a knockout meeting with a forler pro | :04:37. | :04:39.
who's heading down a new sporting path. It is probably quite ` | :04:40. | :04:51.
dangerous situation. Karl's MK Dons may have half an eye on asphring to | :04:52. | :04:55.
a promotion spot, but at thd wrong end of League Two, Northampton are | :04:56. | :04:58.
fighting hard to avoid the unthinkable, losing their ldague | :04:59. | :05:00.
status, while Luton and Cambridge are striving to replace thel. | :05:01. | :05:02.
Jonathan Park reports. Between them, they have amassed over | :05:03. | :05:26.
200 years of league experience, lasting memories for Northalpton, | :05:27. | :05:31.
Luton and Cambridge. But is the hero and now that matters, to st`y or to | :05:32. | :05:38.
play in the 92 club. Promothon out of league two is an awful lot easier | :05:39. | :05:44.
to achieve than promotion ott of the conference. We managed to come | :05:45. | :05:49.
second in the league, that should qualify you to be automatic`lly | :05:50. | :05:56.
qualified. Northampton turndd to Chris Wilder to keep them up. It is | :05:57. | :05:59.
working. The gamble has paid off Ford David Cardoza, the chahrman. | :06:00. | :06:09.
Every year, you give the manager a top seven budget, you give them | :06:10. | :06:12.
everything they need, the fhtness guy, the analyst, everything they | :06:13. | :06:19.
need. But this is now two ott of the last three seasons we have been in | :06:20. | :06:25.
trouble. He knows the game `nd he wants to support his managers and | :06:26. | :06:29.
let them get on with the job. I would love to turn that title of the | :06:30. | :06:36.
unlucky as to the luckiest because he certainly deserves a slice of | :06:37. | :06:41.
luck and success for the amount of work he has done. In recent months, | :06:42. | :06:46.
much of that work has been on the redevelopment. It has taken 11 years | :06:47. | :06:50.
to get off the ground. Work finally starts this week with the chance to | :06:51. | :06:57.
make more money. We have bedn held back for years. We have had a change | :06:58. | :07:03.
in Council three years ago. The new leader of the council has bden | :07:04. | :07:08.
behind us all the way. He understands totally how important | :07:09. | :07:11.
sport is to the town and how people want to see their clubs. Good | :07:12. | :07:16.
evening. Just when they thotght it could not get any worse, Luton Town | :07:17. | :07:20.
has been dealt another blow today. We have been let down. With 40 point | :07:21. | :07:25.
the doctor down three successive relegation is, if any supporters | :07:26. | :07:29.
deserve to celebrate it is Luton fans. But the recent results remain | :07:30. | :07:38.
a painful memory. There is ` certain degree of bad taste around what | :07:39. | :07:45.
happened in that period but for that lingered is not really help us as a | :07:46. | :07:51.
football club to on. After four years of standing still in the | :07:52. | :07:55.
conference, Luton landed John Steele. He is on course for a third | :07:56. | :08:01.
conference promotion. It is a good managerial fit. Are in disaster | :08:02. | :08:06.
Luton will win back their place in the football league. The cltb has | :08:07. | :08:11.
enormous potential. It has `n enormous fan base. Fantastic | :08:12. | :08:16.
history. The club has unbelhevable history, football league history. To | :08:17. | :08:23.
try and be part of artistic`lly and to say that I have possibly played a | :08:24. | :08:28.
part in that history, it is a spur for them. These fans are regulars. | :08:29. | :08:34.
From Scandinavia. They have been coming here for years and fdel it is | :08:35. | :08:38.
the start of something spechal. When we first came over in the e`rly 90s, | :08:39. | :08:45.
we were in the old first division, the premiership now, and we have | :08:46. | :08:48.
followed the club all the w`y down to the conference and now hopefully | :08:49. | :08:54.
back again. I like the outshders so I picked Luton in 1982. The football | :08:55. | :09:00.
conference will have mixed feelings about losing a side of this size and | :09:01. | :09:08.
is Dutch. `` stature. They `re keen to make up for lost time. I think we | :09:09. | :09:17.
have some thing special. It could also be something special in getting | :09:18. | :09:20.
promotion. We have to harness this now and develop that and I do | :09:21. | :09:23.
believe that if you compare us with a number of other clubs that have | :09:24. | :09:30.
been at this level in the p`st, there is no bounds to what we can | :09:31. | :09:36.
achieve. Luton 's battle for promotion with Cambridge has been | :09:37. | :09:40.
one of the stories of the sdason. With Luton nailed on for thd | :09:41. | :09:42.
automatic spot, it leaves C`mbridge fighting to go up through the | :09:43. | :09:48.
play`offs. If you look at the other end of league two, three go up | :09:49. | :09:52.
automatically and there is ` play`off position but at thd very | :09:53. | :09:54.
least, it should be three up, three down. After 46 games of the season, | :09:55. | :09:59.
if you have managed to come second, I think that should qualify you to | :10:00. | :10:05.
be automatically promoted. With one trip to Wembley booked in the FA | :10:06. | :10:08.
Trophy, came bridge probablx need another one to follow Luton on the | :10:09. | :10:15.
way up. It is as big now as when it was when we were fighting whth the | :10:16. | :10:23.
big ones in the 1980s and 1890s Staying up would feel like victory | :10:24. | :10:27.
for Northampton. Anything btt going up would feel like defeat for Luton | :10:28. | :10:31.
and Cambridge. We will know over the next two months if it is job done. | :10:32. | :10:37.
Whichever your club or colotr, we would love to get your reaction | :10:38. | :10:41.
Tomorrow night, Luton and C`mbridge will be thrashing it out. You can | :10:42. | :10:46.
follow that came on your local radio station. Northampton, their run of | :10:47. | :10:53.
good form continues. They m`de it difficult on themselves. Yot can see | :10:54. | :10:56.
an early shot from Scunthorpe. Just put them on the back foot. But this | :10:57. | :11:02.
is the disappointing thing. That is too easy. It is. You work all week | :11:03. | :11:10.
on set pieces and they are so important if you want to st`y up and | :11:11. | :11:12.
this for me is criminal, as a manager. When you see the c`ptain, | :11:13. | :11:18.
Ricky Ravenhill, getting a second yellow card and getting sent off, it | :11:19. | :11:23.
is such a silly challenge. They are down to ten men. But actually the | :11:24. | :11:29.
fact that they negate goal back really quickly shows how resolute | :11:30. | :11:35.
they are. It is a testament to the players and fans, they must have | :11:36. | :11:39.
tremendous belief. It is a great point for Northampton. Especially | :11:40. | :11:42.
when the great save at the dnd from Matt Duke. The character of the side | :11:43. | :11:55.
was completely shown out thdre in abundance and we are delighted to | :11:56. | :11:58.
get a goal and we are delighted to come away with a result. A draw that | :11:59. | :12:04.
they need wins now, let's bd honest. Three points is the currencx when | :12:05. | :12:08.
you are at this end of the table. The form guide looks fantastic for | :12:09. | :12:11.
them. This could be their s`ving grace. They are six points of | :12:12. | :12:17.
getting out of that relegathon spot. The problem is that when yot have | :12:18. | :12:20.
Rochdale at the top of the form table, but Wicker man Bristol are | :12:21. | :12:26.
having a run of form as well. It must be disheartening. As a manager, | :12:27. | :12:31.
you would be looking at that and being quite confident going into the | :12:32. | :12:35.
back end of the season. The recent games have been excellent. But they | :12:36. | :12:40.
have to keep winning more g`mes Also in League Two action on | :12:41. | :12:43.
Saturday were Southend Unitdd who took the long trip from Essdx to | :12:44. | :12:48.
Lancashire. Phil Brown is h`ving problems. It is another gre`t | :12:49. | :12:54.
start. He took the lead last week and once again, the problem, last | :12:55. | :13:04.
week they had a bit of bad luck but this time it is bad timing. There is | :13:05. | :13:09.
no way that the keeper should let that ball bounce. That comes with | :13:10. | :13:23.
the territory. But this is ` wonderful run from the full`back. | :13:24. | :13:30.
This is his first touch. Jack Redshaw has just come off the bench, | :13:31. | :13:34.
his first touch, and he has got the winner, the three points. So they | :13:35. | :13:37.
did have one chance at the dnd. But it had no chance of getting anything | :13:38. | :13:40.
out of it. We had chances at the end, but they | :13:41. | :13:43.
had chances from the beginnhng of the second half. At 2`1, we threw | :13:44. | :13:47.
men forward, trying to get that opportunity to get the equaliser and | :13:48. | :13:50.
possibly the winner, but it wasn't to be. | :13:51. | :13:54.
Let's take a look at the top of League Two. Southend, despite all | :13:55. | :13:57.
their bad luck, they are sthll in. All that good work at the bdginning | :13:58. | :14:00.
of the season is really helping them. You can only imagine Phil | :14:01. | :14:03.
Brown thinking, I've had th`t run of bad form, and he is still in the | :14:04. | :14:08.
play`off places. When you'vd been in the playoffs for the majority of the | :14:09. | :14:11.
season, you do look over yotr shoulder. I don't care what anybody | :14:12. | :14:14.
says, you are looking at te`ms below you. Plymouth and York, thehr recent | :14:15. | :14:18.
results have been good. Let's look at Northampton and Torquay, | :14:19. | :14:20.
thankfully below them from ` Cobbler's point of view, but it s | :14:21. | :14:23.
Accrington and Bury, they are just creeping up. That six points is | :14:24. | :14:29.
looking bigger every day. The fact that Northampton have had a really | :14:30. | :14:32.
good run, but then Accrington went to Chesterfield at the weekdnd, got | :14:33. | :14:36.
a win against the league le`ders. It is just so disheartening whdn you've | :14:37. | :14:39.
won and the other teams arotnd you are winning as well. | :14:40. | :14:42.
More action to come later in the show. But now we catch up whth a | :14:43. | :14:45.
familiar footballing face who, battling with mental illness, has | :14:46. | :14:48.
started to forge a rather dhfferent sporting career. Paul went to East | :14:49. | :14:49.
London to find out more. After 20 years in professional | :14:50. | :15:06.
football, the last thing I'd want to do is embark upon another | :15:07. | :15:09.
professional sport, like thhs man here. But most of you will remember | :15:10. | :15:11.
him for goals like this. The man from the boxing famhly may | :15:12. | :15:21.
well have delivered the knockout blow in the derby. | :15:22. | :15:24.
Apologies to Ipswich town f`ns there. That is how Leon madd his | :15:25. | :15:30.
name. You have been going through your paces, what is this all about? | :15:31. | :15:37.
It is a long story. Obviously, it is in my blood, coming from a boxing | :15:38. | :15:42.
family. It was all about tiling After I finished football, ` lot of | :15:43. | :15:46.
events, personal stuff went on. I'm not shy to say that I have suffered | :15:47. | :15:52.
from depression for many ye`rs. I still do. It was the timing of | :15:53. | :16:00.
things. The calling was for me to jump in the ring. It's something | :16:01. | :16:08.
I've always wanted to do. Obviously, like your dad and uncle | :16:09. | :16:12.
are big names in boxing. How is that working with your dad, becatse he is | :16:13. | :16:15.
coaching you? He is very old school. Used to fight 15 rounds. Wh`t you | :16:16. | :16:19.
see me doing within the work ethic, it is not a joke. As I kid, I have | :16:20. | :16:26.
grown up watching and observing a lot of things. It's funny, the | :16:27. | :16:31.
tables are turned now. To bd honest, sometimes I'm in there and H can't | :16:32. | :16:42.
stand him, if I'm honest with you. It's great to pass my experhence | :16:43. | :16:46.
onto him in a sport that's very hard. I enjoy every bit of ht. I | :16:47. | :16:50.
love to see him suffer. Putting him through that pain gives me ` lot of | :16:51. | :16:55.
pleasure. It really does. How important is the fact that you | :16:56. | :16:59.
played at that league level, scored against Manchester United and | :17:00. | :17:01.
Chelsea, how important is it when you go into the big fights to have | :17:02. | :17:06.
that right mental approach? The mental approach has always been in | :17:07. | :17:09.
me since I was a child, bec`use I've been around the boxing family from | :17:10. | :17:13.
such a young age. I know wh`t it takes mentally to get to whdre you | :17:14. | :17:18.
need to get. You work hard `nd you get rewards by doing that. That is | :17:19. | :17:23.
how I got my rewards in football. The same applies to boxing. I could | :17:24. | :17:28.
take my ability with regards football, it is the same for boxing. | :17:29. | :17:32.
My mental ability is to be `ble to push myself to that level. Go on. | :17:33. | :17:40.
Leon has been through a lot, but he is a very determined lad. Boxing has | :17:41. | :17:43.
given him a great understanding of life and it's given him somdthing to | :17:44. | :17:47.
hang onto and fight back. All his hurt, all his passion, he ptts into | :17:48. | :17:52.
the ring. I think that is hdlping him get through this part of his | :17:53. | :18:00.
life. Emotionally, someone suffering from depression stepping into the | :18:01. | :18:03.
ring, it is quite a dangerots situation. But it is not just about | :18:04. | :18:09.
that. It's not just about Ldon McKenzie jumping in, this is trying | :18:10. | :18:13.
to prove that you can achieve what you want and you can go into other | :18:14. | :18:19.
things when one career ends. It is important for me to stay focused and | :18:20. | :18:28.
try and get what I need to get. I feel I have already won alrdady | :18:29. | :18:33.
The good news is for Leon is that he won his bout at the weekend which | :18:34. | :18:37.
means he is now four undefe`ted He is not the only one talking candidly | :18:38. | :18:40.
about suffering from depression We have heard about Clarke Carlisle, | :18:41. | :18:43.
Darren Eadie. Paul, when yot have been in the changing room whth | :18:44. | :18:47.
players, can you see it? Can you see depression in the faces of xour | :18:48. | :18:49.
team`mates? Personally, I don't think you can. You look at somebody | :18:50. | :18:55.
like Leon, he is a great ex`mple because whenever he was in the | :18:56. | :18:58.
changing room, he was such ` lively lad. You have got this boisterous | :18:59. | :19:02.
personality in the changing room, but when they go away, obviously | :19:03. | :19:05.
they are not happy with things that are going on. Not just in their | :19:06. | :19:10.
professional life but in thdir personal life. It's difficult. It's | :19:11. | :19:16.
a unique topic at the moment in all sports, not just in football. I ve | :19:17. | :19:27.
never had that yet where a player's come to me with the problem. All I | :19:28. | :19:31.
can say is that I'm looking at this footage for the first time with you, | :19:32. | :19:35.
well done to him. I think hd could be a role model for future people | :19:36. | :19:38.
with the same sort of probldm. They can look to him as a role model And | :19:39. | :19:42.
to find something else outshde football, it is unique. As ` | :19:43. | :19:45.
manager, I think footballers do need something else. You have thd | :19:46. | :19:49.
football, your family and you have to find something else to fhll this | :19:50. | :19:52.
void, this gap. Life without football, it is the greatest job in | :19:53. | :19:56.
the world, and not to have that is difficult for the first few years. | :19:57. | :20:01.
But would you know what to do if a footballer in your squad cale to you | :20:02. | :20:04.
and said, Gaffer, I'm suffering with depression. | :20:05. | :20:09.
Yes. I'd have to open my arls to him and let him talk. And then H'd have | :20:10. | :20:18.
to seek professional advice for him. I can't take this on myself. I'm not | :20:19. | :20:21.
professionally trained to ddal with the psyche of a human being. I would | :20:22. | :20:27.
have to sit down and listen to him, then get people in that would | :20:28. | :20:30.
support and help them. Have you had a player come to you? | :20:31. | :20:37.
No, I haven't. I've had manx unique problems, a different array of them, | :20:38. | :20:43.
but I've never had this. It would scare me. Because now I've got | :20:44. | :20:55.
somebody's life in my hands. People look at footballers and look at us | :20:56. | :20:59.
doing this show and they judge us on this show on what they see hn our | :21:00. | :21:02.
professions, but we are hum`n beings. How do you go from having a | :21:03. | :21:09.
really bad game, into that depression? How do you stop that | :21:10. | :21:12.
slide down from feeling bad to suddenly feeling like I need help? | :21:13. | :21:15.
Back to the action. We'll start with the remaining matches from League | :21:16. | :21:16.
One. First off, London Road. Left side of the penalty arda, it's | :21:17. | :21:28.
a tight angle, but he goes for glory and scores. That is a suprele effort | :21:29. | :21:31.
they're from Aneke. Rowe skips past one challenge, slips | :21:32. | :21:39.
the ball into the penalty area. Appeals for a penalty. The referee | :21:40. | :21:45.
points to the spot. Washington. Bright sunshine. Assombalonga steps | :21:46. | :21:51.
up and scores and Posh get level. All square, Posh one, Crewe one | :21:52. | :21:58.
Swanson to Ajose. Ajose makds it 2`1. What a lightening counterattack | :21:59. | :22:06.
that was from Posh. It goes back to Aneke. He gets his second goal of | :22:07. | :22:16.
the afternoon. It's all squ`re at London Road. Washington into the | :22:17. | :22:22.
penalty area. He checks his stride, turns it back to Swanson. Swanson | :22:23. | :22:24.
scores! 3`2. Washington into the box. Finishes | :22:25. | :22:41.
beautifully. Peterborough United four Crewe two. | :22:42. | :22:46.
From the top of League One to the bottom. A vital win for Joe Dunne | :22:47. | :22:53.
and Colchester. He will be desperate to get those three points in the | :22:54. | :22:56.
bag. Freddie Sears against his old team. For me, it's all about the | :22:57. | :23:03.
composure. That's what they lacked when I saw them in the last couple | :23:04. | :23:07.
of games, especially against Leyton Orient. Fantastic finish ag`in. | :23:08. | :23:17.
Gavin Massey is a good playdr. Always threatening to do a little | :23:18. | :23:20.
bit more. He's going to be ` real asset for them. Joe Dunne whll be | :23:21. | :23:23.
desperately disappointed with that going into the bottom corner just | :23:24. | :23:26.
before half`time. But at le`st they got the win. | :23:27. | :23:28.
Graham Westley has begun to get things going, and at the right time | :23:29. | :23:33.
too ` they're level on points. Yes, he's done a very good job shnce he's | :23:34. | :23:36.
gone there. Obviously, he wouldn't like the start to the season. One | :23:37. | :23:40.
thing about his side, they `re always very fit. I think thd records | :23:41. | :23:44.
prove, at this stage of the season, they get fitter and better. Some of | :23:45. | :23:47.
these goals are well taken `nd well worked as well. Darius Charles just | :23:48. | :23:52.
getting the second for Stevdnage. Starting to run away at this point. | :23:53. | :23:58.
I'm sure you will be impressed by this, this sums Graham Westley up. A | :23:59. | :24:02.
quick free quick kick in between the defence, what a finish. He's a good | :24:03. | :24:16.
player. In his first spell `t Preston, he was a big asset for | :24:17. | :24:19.
them. He's now scoring goals again. Just a bit too easy. But at least | :24:20. | :24:23.
they got three points. Let's look at the table. MK Dons and | :24:24. | :24:28.
Peterborough neck and neck. I wish it could be the other way around. | :24:29. | :24:33.
It's great for the area and for the two teams as well. Still got a game | :24:34. | :24:36.
in hand. We've got tremendots belief in ourselves but you know what | :24:37. | :24:42.
football is like. It's a big week. Notts County, you would think that | :24:43. | :24:45.
would be easy with them bottom of the league, but it doesn't `lways | :24:46. | :24:49.
work like that. Far from it. We'll move along to the | :24:50. | :24:52.
Championship. Ipswich went to Teesside to face Middlesbrotgh and | :24:53. | :24:55.
Mick McCarthy who's having huge problems with consistency. We all | :24:56. | :25:01.
are! The teams who get in the play`offs tend to find conshstency | :25:02. | :25:04.
and they get it from the fundamental basics, taking chances when they | :25:05. | :25:09.
come along. And set pieces. For me, the goalkeeper has gifted them this | :25:10. | :25:17.
opportunity. He will be desperately disappointed just to palm it out | :25:18. | :25:21.
into Danny Graham's path. Hhs first goal for Middlesbrough. He scored a | :25:22. | :25:26.
second one and there is no one on the back post. I sit back as a | :25:27. | :25:29.
manager when I see goals conceded from set pieces. | :25:30. | :25:34.
Take a look at the table. Ipswich in ninth. Have they got the sqtad, the | :25:35. | :25:38.
ability to win promotion? Yds, yes. And they have a manager that knows | :25:39. | :25:42.
how to do it. They're key components for success. I believe the lanager | :25:43. | :25:45.
is one of the best in the Championship. The big probldm for | :25:46. | :25:51.
them, for me, is going to bd Wigan. If I'm an Ipswich fan, I'm going to | :25:52. | :25:55.
hope they stay in the FA Cup and play a few more games. Cruchal night | :25:56. | :26:02.
tomorrow night for all our teams in the football league. Let's run you | :26:03. | :26:04.
through the fixtures. As for Norwich, two points dropped | :26:05. | :26:31.
against Stoke. It's those khnd of games which you fear could come back | :26:32. | :26:36.
and haunt them. I went to the match and the turning point was the | :26:37. | :26:40.
substitution of Wes Hoolahan. For me, he was the best player on the | :26:41. | :26:46.
park. I think whenever Jonnx Howson comes on, he doesn't have the same | :26:47. | :26:49.
creativity as Wes Hoolahan. Sometimes the substitutions can | :26:50. | :26:54.
define the game. We've seen a few goals tonight where subs have come | :26:55. | :26:58.
on and changed the game. Wes is a wonderful player, he is cre`tivity. | :26:59. | :27:06.
Whenever Stoke went down to ten men, they still needed that bit of | :27:07. | :27:10.
creativity. The table doesn't look good for Norwich. Just hovering | :27:11. | :27:18.
above. There are still four points. I do have faith in Chris Hughton. | :27:19. | :27:23.
Before we go, last week we `sked you for your thoughts on safe standing. | :27:24. | :27:27.
The social media channels h`ve been abuzz. | :27:28. | :28:01.
If you have any thoughts on this week's issues, particularly on the | :28:02. | :28:05.
relegation dogfight or how football with depression, please get in | :28:06. | :28:11.
touch. That's it, my thanks to Carl | :28:12. | :28:14.
Robinson and to Paul McVeigh. Carl, good luck tomorrow night. No | :28:15. | :28:17.
sprinting down the other end shall of the pitch. Pull my hamstring | :28:18. | :28:23.
Thanks for joining us. We'll be back at the same time, same placd next | :28:24. | :28:27.
week. Goodbye for now. | :28:28. | :28:31. |
