Episode 6 Late Kick Off North East and Cumbria

On tonight's programme: We reflect on Paolo Di Canio. And we report on

Gateshead's nomadic period away from the stadium. Good evening for

the final word on one of Europe's most fiercely contested rivalries,

we are and joined by Mickey the AA and Olivia Gurnard. We will hear

from them after we hear from both managers following a momentous day

in the life of Paolo Di Canio. was great because when you work so

hard you are happy if you can get this result. I know people feel

for my players because today they were Warriors, they gave everything

on the field. They had all the energy for the fans. I was excited

we tried to get some energy out there from our players it was not

to be. In the second half I thought we were better and the crucial

second and third, I was actually working at the game today and I

could not keep my cool with a third one! Do we put it all down to Paolo

is giving it all slaps and but certain more aged or experienced

has got great momentum. Of course, he has great energy on the sideline.

It is all about him encouraging players. He did a great job today.

I was a bit disappointed in Newcastle at times. Why is that,

they changed five players. That is the problem with Europa League. You

plea on the Thursday and then at the weekend to play Premier League

football it is not enough time to recover. It is difficult. I think

that game was one too many. We have had a tweet from a Newcastle fan

who says Sunderland wanted it more it is that simple. Really? I do not

believe that. I believe Newcastle looked heavy. They had hit the legs.

I do not believe they had the power to overtake an overlap down the

flank. It was really difficult to break Sunderland today. I think

what the important thing is, you win those games in the dressing

room before the game. When they crossed that quite lined the

Sunderland players were ready for it. You get the first 15 minutes

out of the way in a derby game. Sunderland were on the front foot,

they made Newcastle make mistakes. That is where you get the goals

like Gateshead, you need that bad for fans and you've got to keep a
