reveal who was trying to corner our teams behind the scenes. The class

of 2012, a Reading ace reveals why the Royals have title ambitions.

There are rich pickings tonight, as Leroy is joined by Steve Fletcher,

who has played more than 800 professional games, and he added

Plymouth to his list of clubs on Plymouth to his list of clubs on

Saturday. More on that later. First up, Reading, very much contenders

for the title now, alongside Southampton. What a win for the

Royals at West Ham, what a story to tell the kids in Berkshire today.

of Roberts, the 34-year-old having hit five goals in 12 appearances.

He is looking for a quick return to the Premier League. I want to get

promoted, anyway we get it, I will take it right now. Upton Park was

Reading did it the hard way, after conceding an early goal from

Carlton Cole. Two girls in two minutes before half-time

transformed the game. The first came from Kaspars Gorkss, and then

Noel Hunt got the second. So, what did manage a Brian McDermott say at

half-time? As always, the manager was calm and meticulous, he said

what he thought we could do better, in the second half, and we did it.

Reading extended their lead when Ian Harte scored from the penalty

spot. Then, a towering header from Ricardo Vaz Te games -- gave West

Ham a glimmer of hope, but it was cancelled out by Leigertwood's goal.

Jason Roberts will be looking to add to his goal tally in the

remaining games, and no doubt the kids from this school in Berkshire

Well, he is certainly making a name for himself in the media and on the

field - what an impact he has made. He is a big, strong striker, he has

got more to his game than that. He is good with his feet. He is a

handful for defenders. They must hate playing against him. At times

he is unplayable, isn't he? certainly is. It is not just on the

pitch, it is what he brings to the dressing room in terms of, he has

been there, people look up to him, he has brought out the best in Noel

Hunt as well. And he still manages to do a phone-in on Saturday night

as well. Still to come, lots more goals, and the game which has

become folklore, when Pele played in Plymouth. Plus, what did manager

Steve Evans say to his players after this incident? Bristol City

now, stuck on the pitch and off it. Today's legal judgment has made way

for a judicial review of the planning process for their new

ground. The delay and cost has got majority shareholder and owner

Stephen Lansdown frustrated. He has said it is the wrong decision, they

will fight it. The game in a moment, but first, let's hear from the fans.

kick from Billy Sharpe been successful. Blackpool went ahead

through Stephen Dobbie. Southampton had scored in each of their 10

previous matches, but not in this one. Stephen Dobbie got another,

then Ian Evatt got Blackpool's third. It's the Southampton remain

top. Brighton provide great value for money, as our statistics show.

Boro went ahead through Marvin Emnes, but Brighton equally East --

equalised through Inigo Calderon. No Portsmouth fan will see this

match as good value for money. Five of the six goals was caught by

Burnley. David Norris got an equaliser for Portsmouth, and they

were level at the break. But everything went wrong for

Portsmouth in the second half. Portsmouth are now five points away

from safety. This was the low point, this poor pass from Jason Pierce.

makes great reading for Southampton, Reading and Brighton. A straight

shoot-out, do you think, between the top two? We have got to think

about West Ham as well, because the top two will play each other

between now and the end of the season. But it will be a difficult

for anybody to overtake those two. Portsmouth really thumped at home,

so of course, the next game, that will be a big one. The Portsmouth

manager, he has been quite pleased that he has got such a big game

coming up. We have got a week to prepare. We get an opportunity to

get our frustrations out against Southampton. But news for

Southampton today, their Japanese striker is out for the rest of the

season, which makes Rickie Lambert crucial for the run-in. He is

crucial anyway, he has probably been the best player in the

Championship all season. He is a superb player, deserves to be in

the Premiership. Brighton are holding on, have they got enough to

stay in the play-off places? They certainly have. They have had a

fantastic 2012, unbeaten at home this year. That home form will get

them through, I think. Gus Poyet will be relishing this. I think the

players will, too. Before we leave the Championship, here are the

Two, Crawley manager Steve Evans says the midweek brawl involving

his team was bad, but he does not think his team were all to blame.

do not want to get involved in the middle of that. I would defend one

or two of my players, to say their actions were retaliatory. But that

will have more of Steve Fletcher in a moment. But first, that match

from 1970s which goes down in soccer folklore. And they still

talk about it in the City today. This story was part footballing

Pele and Brazil are world champions, they are superstars of their

generation. Both the captain and Pele were

among World Cup winners who played for Brazil's top club side, Santos.

They decided to tour Britain to raise a bit of cash.

And it was headline news when Santos picked lowly Plymouth as one

of their opponents. I am convinced that I would have

been about here. The place was packed to the rafters. 35,000

people, perhaps a few more. It was amazing. They had seat around the

perimeter. Can you imagine that now?

But this was not happening just 15 minutes earlier, because this

Santos team were still in their suits.

I was thunderstruck, because they said that the Santos team would not

take the field until they had an extra payment for the match.

We were black belt into paying them �2,000 extra, -- blackmailed.

So they were going to play for the summer that was agreed before the

match? Yes, but they cannot read English,

and they did not want to know about the contract.

What happens to make you decide to put aside with the match?

I looked out the window and we saw that there were already 30,000

people in the ground. My first thought was that if we

abandon the match, there will be blue murder amongst the crowd.

What was it like walking out here? There was fear or on your face. I

had been playing local football 18 months before this, and now I was

playing against Pele. It was unbelievable. Pele was the

name, so to have him playing here was just unbelievable. The majority

of people, it will stick with them forever. The mood only increase

because after three minutes, Argyle took the lead.

The goal was only just caught by the BBC cameras.

Plymouth then went two up thanks to Derek.

A cross came in from out there, and they moved up, and I dived in and

headed it, and it ended up in the back of the net. I will never

forget it. Two up, an old Third Division side,

League One in present -- present currency, playing the greats of the

game. Here is all we have got of a third goal. The game itself was a

delight. But at half-time, Argyll's -- Argyle's Secretary still had a

headache. We had to go to their

representative and play them the money.

Santos fought back with Pele's penalty. Pele's through-ball

created a second. But Argyle held on to win. As the

teams socialised at a hotel reception afterwards, backstage at

in a Santos room, the deal was done. We went into this room and this

official came with us, and we said to him, you're absolutely cricket.

It is disgusting what you have demanded of us, and we shall report

due to the Football Association, and you will never play football in

this country again. He shrugged his shoulders and said there were

plenty more countries. I dropped the packets of money on to the bed

and he's good them on tour -- into a bag and walked out.

It was a great night in my opinion. Probably the greatest night in

Plymouth Argyle's history. And it is a real shame that this problem

has arisen. I have been in some pubs in

Plymouth, and you can find somebody in a corner that will remember that

night. It is something that generations have grown up knowing a

lot about. A tremendous to have such a player playing at a ground

like that. Just to finish this story, there

was a little bit of a twist. The FA phone to Plymouth up three

years later and said they had got their money back, because Santos

were playing in Holland, and FIFA would not sanction the game until

they gave Plymouth for the money back. So it all finished happily

ever after. 37,000 at Home Park, something

people do not forget. There were just under 7000 there, let's bring

it up to date, because Plymouth were playing against Bradford.

Perhaps it had something to do with this man, Steve, are you going to

help bring that price crashing down?

I doubted! As long as I can supply a few and help the team, it is

vital that the result comes, that is what we need, three points,

which we got on Saturday. They are a big club and I want them to

survive. How much time did you get? You were

not on the pitch four minutes in. No, we had 86 minutes to survive.

It was a great header. I cleared a few of the line and some headers,

and it takes everything to get the result. It is the result that

counts at this time of the season. You actually sat with the support

as well? Yes, I went up to associate myself

with the boys. There were 1200 fans there, and they were brilliant.

Do you think able stay up? Absolutely, we have a big game on

Friday against Hereford. We also have Swindon away, so it is tough,

but these games are all vitally important. I think we give

ourselves a bit of breathing space if we win our next two.

More of the promotion chasers now, starting with Swindon in a West

A superb finish coming up from Danny Stevens. They have won 13 of

their last 17 games. John and supporters have not had

many goals to cheer recently, and their chances of success as up and

Home straight now for the goal- scoring winners and losers in

League One. Exeter have scored just 22 goals in 21 league matches this

22 goals in 21 league matches this season. They have not kept a clean

sheet for 13 matches. Etc made second from bottom. This was

despite a late equaliser from Jamie Cureton. -- Exeter boss Bob Wickham

have the best home goalscoring record of our teams.

They went behind at a Stevenage. They could run look to to be coming

to end, but got a penalty in stoppage time. Grant Basey's

successful kick means it is now six without a defeat, but they drop

into the relegation zone. Bournemouth fans do not see many

goals at home. Yeovil supporters get significantly more at their

ground. The first game under born of's new manager ended without a

goal. Yeovil halted a run of two successive defeats, but it is three

matches without a goal. They remain six points clear of the relegation

zone, and Bournemouth stay in mid- All change at Bournemouth. What do

you make of everything that has been going on?

It has been an eventful season. Paul Groves has come in, and they

have had two draws in two games. The home game against Yeovil, so a

base to start from. Their last six games to go and they can build on

that and try and get a respectable finish. I think the play-offs is

slightly out of grasp. It's Wycombe who win the Bang for

your Buck honours in League One. But who is top dog of our 17 teams?

You'll have to wait a bit. Here are the bottom five, Bristol City

bringing up the rear. And the best value is Swindon, then

Oxford, Crawley and Wycombe - all under a tenner a goal. Torquay are

under a tenner a goal. Torquay are under a tenner a goal. Torquay are

fifth. Torquay is a bit expensive! But the

English Riviera is worth every penny! Before we go, the story that

caught our eye this week. Leroy, you will empathise with this.

Gary Dicker has played his first reserve game, the Brighton

midfielder is back after breaking his leg in October. He has been

getting physiotherapy, and it is so hard, even if you are about the

club, it is a lonely place to be trying to get fit, and I am sure he

has gone through quite a few little setbacks, but he has got that was

first reserve game under his belt, which is a massive step for him. I

am pleased for him, because in October you thought he would be out
