tonight, and every goal. I'm Tony We're told he made George Best look

:00:24.:00:28.

like a choirboy. A hell-raising Reading legend of the '70s will be

:00:28.:00:34.

immortalised by Hollywood. Find out why.

:00:34.:00:37.

Bristol City are all but down and their fans are ready to face the

:00:37.:00:44.

consequences. Doomed now! But having said that, we've seen it all before!

:00:44.:00:48.

The player who left City is firing Bournemouth up now. His manager

:00:48.:00:53.

joins us in the studio. So does a boss who might not be on gardening

:00:53.:01:01.

Along with Eddie Howe on the sofa, Ady Williams. He was a Reading

:01:01.:01:08.

legend, too. Not sure you're a drugs and rock 'n' roll kinda guy! We

:01:08.:01:12.

might find out differently, though! But first up, we let Bristol City

:01:12.:01:16.

fans have their say. Their side is all but relegated from the

:01:16.:01:23.

depending on results this Tuesday. And already the City faithful say

:01:23.:01:33.
:01:33.:01:33.

Pratley into the edge of the area, plays a little 1-2. Chance for a

:01:33.:01:37.

left-footed cross to the near post. Goes all the way through! And it's

:01:37.:01:40.

an own-goal off Liam Fontaine. Sean's doing a good job with what

:01:40.:01:43.

he's got. That's all he can do. needs a season in the next division,

:01:43.:01:46.

lower division, to create a new team, I think.

:01:46.:01:49.

He pushes it into the path of De Lonzo but he's dallied on the ball

:01:49.:01:53.

and allowed him to get back. It's come to Davis, and Davis scores the

:01:53.:01:56.

equaliser for City. The top scorer! Laid on a plate for him by Albert

:01:56.:02:02.

Adoma. I think we're down. I think most of the fans have given in.

:02:02.:02:05.

Doomed now! But having said that, we've seen it all before.

:02:05.:02:09.

Flicks it foward and down on his chest. Bates tries to get there. The

:02:09.:02:12.

referee's assistant has given the penalty kick. And this could be

:02:12.:02:15.

curtains for City's season. It's a hard division, the next one down.

:02:15.:02:18.

Everybody seems to think it'll be a walk in the park. It's not going to

:02:18.:02:21.

be like that, is it? Next season, play-offs mininum. Otherwise there's

:02:21.:02:31.
:02:31.:02:32.

going to be a lot of disgruntled people.

:02:32.:02:37.

I think there's an acceptance Bristol City will be a lower league

:02:37.:02:39.

club, League One next season. Eddie Howe, you played under Sean

:02:40.:02:43.

O'Driscoll. How's his mind working right now? Is he planning for League

:02:43.:02:52.

One? He will be trying to build a squad and looking to get promotion.

:02:52.:02:58.

What are some of the keys to what he has done and why he is successful?

:02:58.:03:03.

He works extremely hard. He is extremely successful and is one of

:03:03.:03:06.

the best coaches I've worked with. He is a meticulous planner and Hill

:03:06.:03:10.

get Bristol City prepared for the next season. You've learnt a lot of

:03:10.:03:17.

him -- from him over the season? Yes. Learn to massive amount of him

:03:17.:03:21.

both on and off the peach. Well, that's what Eddie thinks.

:03:21.:03:25.

So what do you think? If you tweet, you can continue the debate online

:03:25.:03:32.

at Tony Husband BBC on City's misfortunes. Got some already.

:03:32.:03:38.

Andy says, this season is over for Bristol City. Another, I hope City

:03:38.:03:42.

will be straight into the promotion picture in League One. Were about to

:03:42.:03:47.

be the big fish again. And Russell adds he wants a first-round win in

:03:48.:03:50.

all three cups, agreeing with that as well.

:03:50.:03:53.

We'll talk Brighton in a moment. Moving up the table and looking

:03:53.:03:56.

play-off bound. Plus, Bournemouth storm to victory

:03:56.:03:59.

as the promotion push continues at Shrewsbury, and Eddie has his say.

:03:59.:04:02.

Former Plymouth and Torquay boss Neil Warnock on the run-in and his

:04:02.:04:06.

future in football. And how the Reading player that lit

:04:06.:04:11.

a fire through the '70s is about to be immortalised by Hollywood.

:04:12.:04:14.

We complete the Championship with Brighton, who are scrapping for

:04:14.:04:18.

points at just the right time. They're fifth and the play-offs are

:04:18.:04:21.

beckoning. With a much needed victory at Middlesbro which followed

:04:21.:04:29.

three straight draws. We will take a look at the action. Eddie, what

:04:29.:04:35.

makes a Poyet team unique? I think his philosophy. I've got a lot of

:04:35.:04:41.

time for Brighton and how they play the game and how he sets the game up

:04:41.:04:44.

for them. A fantastic football team and I think they could go all the

:04:44.:04:49.

way. This style of his. It is certainly flamboyant and it seems to

:04:49.:04:57.

work. Absolutely. He was a former team-mate of mine at Swindon, very

:04:57.:05:02.

passionate. Confident and he really has that passion. You can see it

:05:02.:05:06.

with his hand signals towards the travelling supporters! A terrific

:05:06.:05:12.

season under him. Does his style of play mean Brighton would adapt to

:05:12.:05:16.

the Premier League better than some? I think so. I look at Swansea, a

:05:17.:05:21.

team who have played really good football in the championship and

:05:21.:05:24.

they stepped up to the Premier League and made that transitionary

:05:24.:05:28.

well. I think Brighton could do the same thing. -- made that transition

:05:28.:05:32.

really well. A Late Kick Off exclusive now, at a

:05:32.:05:36.

remarkable meeting. Hollywood feature film producers have come to

:05:36.:05:39.

the region in search of the widow and daughter of a player who blazed

:05:39.:05:43.

a short but firey trail across the 1970s. That's before his untimely

:05:43.:05:49.

death. Who is he? Well, a book about this star was called The Greatest

:05:49.:05:52.

Player You Never Saw. It was co-written by the Oasis bass player,

:05:52.:05:55.

by the way. The player in question was Robin Friday, whose legend

:05:55.:05:58.

simply grows and grows. Especially when film producers come calling.

:05:58.:06:00.

And Late Kick Off cameras joined them.

:06:00.:06:04.

Back in the game again... evening crowd are in at the Spread

:06:04.:06:07.

Eagle pub. Across the road now stand several blocks of flats, but once

:06:07.:06:10.

that was Reading's old ground Elm Park. Inside one corner of the bar

:06:10.:06:13.

this evening there's a new crowd. Now, their usual watering hole is

:06:13.:06:18.

5,500 miles away in Hollywood. America? An unknown footballer from

:06:18.:06:21.

some bizarre place in Britain? You're having a laugh, aren't ya?

:06:21.:06:26.

Yeah. Well, the strange thing is, had it been, say, Georgie Best or

:06:26.:06:29.

Stan Bowles, or any of those other characters, they're very known.

:06:29.:06:32.

There's lots of footage about them. Whereas the mystery of this guy is

:06:32.:06:35.

really what makes it really interesting. He did it. He followed

:06:35.:06:40.

his dream, played football. He also lived life to the full. Robin Friday

:06:40.:06:43.

played for Reading between 1973 and '76 in the lower leagues, beguiling

:06:43.:06:49.

both the defences he would face and the people he would meet. He even

:06:49.:06:52.

kissed a policeman in celebration of one of his special goals. And there

:06:52.:06:56.

are many, many more stories that the writers have collected. Clive Thomas

:06:56.:06:59.

tells the story that it was this sort of very straight Welsh referee

:06:59.:07:03.

and Robin Friday scores this goal, and Clive Thomas looks at it and he

:07:03.:07:11.

applauds, and the referee starts clapping in the middle of the game.

:07:11.:07:15.

Charlie goes and sits him down, and he goes, Robin, I'm putting you in

:07:15.:07:18.

the first team. You're playing against Northampton. We're playing

:07:18.:07:22.

them at home. You're in. And Robin says to Charlie, that's great. You

:07:22.:07:25.

know what, boss? I won't drink, I won't fight, I won't go with any

:07:25.:07:30.

women between now and the game. And Charlie went, Robin, you can lie to

:07:30.:07:34.

me once. Not three times. Drink, drugs - you name it, he embraced

:07:34.:07:39.

very many things to the max, dying aged just 38. A flawed hero whose

:07:39.:07:44.

attitude was shaped quite probably by one event. When he was 21, he

:07:44.:07:48.

used to work on the roofs, doing asphalting, and he slipped one day

:07:48.:07:52.

and he went down onto a stake. And it missed his lung and his heart by

:07:52.:07:58.

about that much. And, you know, we think that maybe that kind of

:07:58.:08:02.

sparked it. That he thought, you know what? It's fragile. Life is so

:08:02.:08:05.

fragile. You know, you get one chance. His pre-season preparation

:08:05.:08:10.

was unique. He's got a plastic bag and his boots are in there, and he's

:08:10.:08:14.

got long hair and he's dishevelled. And he's obviously been... Whatever

:08:14.:08:18.

he's been doing for six weeks in Cornwall. And he puts on his boots

:08:18.:08:22.

and Morris said he was the best player out on that pitch. And these

:08:22.:08:25.

guys had trained for six weeks. And Robin was just...the best player

:08:25.:08:31.

there. Where had he been? He'd been on a hippy commune in Cornwall.

:08:31.:08:35.

Even if he wasn't playing well, he gave 100% every game. He never

:08:35.:08:41.

shirked. He always gave 100%. And fans love that in a player. Mining

:08:41.:08:44.

one of the richest seams of sporting folklore is one thing, but two

:08:44.:08:49.

people are key to this flying visit. This is Mike. Mike, hello. Robin's

:08:49.:08:52.

former wife and daughter are meeting the film producers for the first

:08:52.:08:59.

time. Good to meet you. Actually, you know what? The story just got

:08:59.:09:05.

bigger and bigger. We knew we had it... With them comes a scrapbook

:09:05.:09:08.

and another find - this photo capturing the moment just after

:09:08.:09:18.
:09:18.:09:24.

Robin had proposed to Lisa. He'd women were concerned, he had all of

:09:24.:09:30.

it rolled into one. Do you know what I mean? Which is why...he wasn't

:09:30.:09:33.

really the man to marry! Although he was really the man to marry. People

:09:33.:09:37.

just want us to tell them anything we might know that can add to

:09:37.:09:40.

whatever they already know. And I think it's wonderful to have been

:09:40.:09:43.

privileged enough to have actually been his wife and have children and

:09:43.:09:46.

be, you know, asked all this time later about so many different

:09:46.:09:52.

things. Reading Football Club has never forgotten this enigma. He's in

:09:52.:09:55.

the current Hall of Fame and voted Player of the Millennium by the

:09:55.:10:00.

fans. I didn't really know what to say but when I got up I just raised

:10:00.:10:04.

a glass to my dad and I'm so chuffed cos he got a standing ovation.

:10:04.:10:08.

They're also giving the film the thumbs-up. If a woman wants a bad

:10:08.:10:11.

boy and a rugged boy and a personality and charisma all rolled

:10:11.:10:14.

into one then I couldn't have been luckier. Of course there were down

:10:14.:10:20.

sides but who wants to remember the down sides? And it's all here, the

:10:20.:10:23.

movie-makers hope, in this film script. But that's going back to LA

:10:23.:10:33.
:10:33.:10:35.

right now, under lock and key. A great story ready to be told by

:10:35.:10:44.

Hollywood. I know you got a great story about him?

:10:44.:10:48.

And a sense of how the stories about this man are cherished. For Ady, a

:10:48.:10:51.

story at the that pub that goes he'd have a beer before kick-off, leave

:10:51.:10:56.

his pint mug on the bar, go over the road, play the game and come back to

:10:56.:10:59.

the pub and pick up his glass and keep drinking. If you were to be

:10:59.:11:02.

featured in a movie, which actor would play you? I've got to be

:11:02.:11:05.

honest, a bit of an action man. I'll go for Daniel Craig.

:11:05.:11:08.

We asked for Robin memories on our Facebook page and got this from

:11:08.:11:11.

Stephen Hunt. He wrote about watching the shot which missed the

:11:11.:11:15.

goal and knocked a young fan off his feet. He says Robin leapt the wall,

:11:15.:11:19.

clambered up the terrace to help and apologise to him and his dad! He

:11:19.:11:23.

says he was a real one-off and true entertainer. So we kept digging on

:11:23.:11:27.

social media. And here's what we found. The boy all those years ago

:11:27.:11:33.

who got hit on the nut. He now lives in Bristol. My head was ringing! I

:11:33.:11:37.

didn't know what had happened! And I was just coming round and I could

:11:37.:11:40.

see Robin Friday jumping over the wall and running up the terraces

:11:40.:11:45.

towards me. And he lifted me up and I could hear people saying, is he

:11:45.:11:50.

all right? And I could hear him saying, is he OK? And I was saying,

:11:50.:11:55.

I'm fine, I'm fine! And he gave me a big kiss and ran back down the

:11:55.:12:00.

terraces and carried on warming up for the game! Another great memory

:12:00.:12:07.

there. Now on to Late Kick Off's form team.

:12:07.:12:11.

Bournemouth have won seven in seven. And, Eddie, it's over to you here.

:12:11.:12:14.

You'll be analysing this footage this week. Good to watch a 3-0 win

:12:14.:12:22.

at Shrewsbury. Yes, a really great goal. When you look at the quality

:12:22.:12:26.

of that second goal, it was a great finish and really good momentum at

:12:26.:12:33.

the moment. You are going to have those moments away from home and his

:12:33.:12:37.

important your players are capable of turning games and he is in that

:12:37.:12:43.

format the moment. He is utterly flying at the moment, isn't he? And

:12:43.:12:48.

again, good work and approach in the third, and thank you very much for

:12:48.:12:52.

this own goal! It is going tremendously well. All at the League

:12:52.:12:56.

One table as well, because it really does make great Buick -- viewing for

:12:56.:13:05.

Bournemouth fans. And the rivals, whom we will chat about in a moment,

:13:05.:13:09.

have the games in hand. So this is looking really good for you and you

:13:09.:13:13.

came back from Burnley and everything has fallen into place?

:13:13.:13:20.

has been a remarkable run and I didn't foresee this happening,

:13:20.:13:22.

really. The players deserve the credit haven't got themselves into

:13:22.:13:26.

this position. You go in there, and so you must've done something to

:13:26.:13:29.

change the mindset of a team that was struggling at the bottom of the

:13:29.:13:34.

table? We got the team together and we had our idea of how we wanted the

:13:34.:13:37.

game played and we had to take that onto the pitch but the players have

:13:37.:13:43.

been great taking those ideas on board. We talk about this

:13:43.:13:47.

goalscoring run Brett is on and he scores another couple yesterday.

:13:47.:13:52.

These are all the goals and 18 seven now. Do you remember a certain

:13:52.:13:55.

Jermaine Defoe you played with? Years on that sort of form, isn't

:13:55.:14:05.

he? -- he is. Yes. He is capable of scoring goals at any time. And the

:14:05.:14:10.

other members of the team are creating choices for him as well.

:14:10.:14:14.

will maybe be a different player in the championship now. He has

:14:14.:14:17.

experienced it and that is vital. Bournemouth going so well.

:14:17.:14:20.

Here are the other League One clubs who've stressed Eddie all year as

:14:20.:14:30.
:14:30.:14:34.

both opponents and rivals for Congratulations to Yeovil. They're

:14:34.:14:37.

definitely in the play-offs after this victory at Stevenage. Only one

:14:37.:14:40.

defeat in nine. Yeovil have got the momentum, the confidence and belief

:14:40.:14:43.

that comes with that. No wonder, when your keeper's performing like

:14:43.:14:46.

this. Sam Foley with the opener, nice controlled effort, just pass

:14:46.:14:49.

it into the net. James Hayter pops up with a second. Vastly

:14:49.:14:51.

experienced striker. He certainly knows where the net is. Yeovil

:14:51.:14:55.

finish with ten. Dan Burn sent off for a second yellow in stoppage

:14:55.:14:58.

time. Three defeats in a row for Swindon. They're in danger of

:14:58.:15:01.

missing out on the League One play- offs, and manager Kevin McDonald

:15:01.:15:03.

apologised for his team's performance. He called it

:15:03.:15:06.

embarrassing. Only one win in eight for Swindon. How do they turn it

:15:06.:15:09.

around? For starters, they've got to do better with the goals they're

:15:09.:15:11.

conceding at the moment. United attackers, in between the Swindon

:15:12.:15:15.

defenders, you have to pick your man, lock on and mark him. You've

:15:15.:15:22.

got to take responsibility. Crawley may yet make the play-offs after

:15:22.:15:25.

being in Coventry for their second win of the week. Billy Clarke and

:15:25.:15:28.

Connor Essam with the goals. It's been an excellent few days, after

:15:28.:15:31.

winning at Sheffield United mid- week. Three clean sheets in a row

:15:31.:15:37.

for Crawley. That's quality defending. Pompey's run of five

:15:38.:15:40.

without defeat was ended at promotion-chasing Brentford. Keeper

:15:40.:15:45.

Simon Eastwood at fault for me. Must make better contact. That said,

:15:45.:15:47.

fair play to Pompey. Responded brilliantly. My former team mate

:15:47.:15:50.

Dave Connolly made a living out of scoring goals. Great turn, must hit

:15:51.:15:53.

the target, fantastic. Look out for another turn. Shaun Cooper. Once

:15:53.:15:57.

again, great strike. Two late goals would win it for Brentford. This is

:15:57.:16:05.

x-rated stuff, Tony. Schoolboy defending. Very scrappy. Now, just

:16:05.:16:08.

five minute remaining, away from home, you've got to take a point.

:16:08.:16:11.

The goalkeeper is confident, he's shot to pieces. Look how gutted the

:16:11.:16:17.

defender is. Absolutely devastated. Well, Portsmouth fans spilled onto

:16:17.:16:20.

the pitch at the end of the game. This could prove costly to the club,

:16:20.:16:25.

because a Football League fine may be imposed. Their relegation will

:16:25.:16:35.
:16:35.:16:39.

also be confirmed this week if Oldham beat Yeovil on Tuesday night.

:16:39.:16:42.

So the top sees Bournemouth two points behind the leaders but the

:16:42.:16:45.

chasing pack have games in hand. Yeovil's win guarantees a play-off

:16:45.:16:48.

place. Swindon stay sixth despite their recent poor form. Portsmouth

:16:48.:16:50.

still have chances of beating the drop on performance, thereby

:16:50.:16:53.

forcing the league's hand to dish out the 10 point deduction this

:16:53.:16:56.

season and not next for being in administration. Let's start with

:16:56.:16:59.

Pompey. Amazing scenes this week as their fan's trust moved a step

:16:59.:17:02.

closer to taking over. A High Court decision will see them follow

:17:02.:17:05.

Exeter in being run by supporters. But the high spirits which saw fans

:17:05.:17:09.

spill onto the pitch at Brentford could well result in a fine. As one

:17:09.:17:18.

person on Twitter noted - we've just lost the benefit of 20 shares.

:17:18.:17:24.

It is grim news. I think it is what's all Portsmouth fans wanted a.

:17:24.:17:30.

-- it is great news. Gary Johnson, the fans love him, and I am not

:17:30.:17:36.

surprised. He has done a remarkable job. Very much so. They are 4th.

:17:37.:17:46.
:17:47.:17:49.

Phenomenal. He is not working and a massive budget as well. Fair play

:17:49.:17:59.
:17:59.:18:05.

to him. It is Oldham and his son, Lee, on Tuesday night. Little bit

:18:05.:18:10.

of fun. Maybe a drink afterwards for the father and son. How do you

:18:10.:18:15.

be spending Tuesday night? I will be yet again somewhere. I don't

:18:15.:18:25.
:18:25.:18:34.

know why yet. James hater, craters the moment, but yes, he has had a

:18:34.:18:41.

Now into League Two, starting with those clubs whose very survival in

:18:41.:18:45.

the league are in the balance. And Neil Warnock will be giving us his

:18:45.:18:50.

views in a moment. First, though, Ady joins me to review the action.

:18:50.:18:52.

Aldershot remain bottom of the league. There are three matches

:18:52.:18:58.

remaining to stay in League Two. Can they do it? It's getting

:18:58.:19:01.

tougher each week, especially as York won at the weekend as well.

:19:01.:19:04.

Matt McClure put Wycombe in front just after half-time, but I'm

:19:04.:19:06.

really pleased for Aldershot's goal scorer here, Craig Stanley - he's

:19:06.:19:10.

had a terrible time of injury this season. At last, some good moves.

:19:10.:19:13.

Great finish, Craig. Joel Grant got the the winner against his former

:19:13.:19:16.

club. Andy Scott dismissed it as very, very soft. That's putting it

:19:16.:19:23.

mildly! Heartache for Plymouth with Burton's winning goal coming in the

:19:23.:19:31.

94th minute. It would've been a very important point for Plymouth.

:19:31.:19:37.

Once again, terrible defending. And more bad news - Crystal Palace have

:19:37.:19:42.

recalled Jason Banton from his loan spell.

:19:42.:19:44.

So to the table, Torquay's must-win match against Barnet now takes

:19:44.:19:48.

place on Tuesday night. Aldershot are bottom and need a final push to

:19:48.:19:51.

avoid the dreaded trap door out of the league. Plymouth are now three

:19:51.:19:54.

points clear of the drop zone. Staying with Plymouth, it seems a

:19:54.:19:58.

good time to get the views of a man who led the club out of the

:19:58.:20:01.

division 17 years ago. Neil Warnock's career has seen him

:20:01.:20:03.

manage 11 league clubs, notching up seven promotions, but after leaving

:20:03.:20:06.

Leeds, he says he's retired from front line management although he

:20:06.:20:10.

does want to stay involved in the game from his base in Cornwall. So

:20:10.:20:14.

what does he fancy doing and who with? I spoke to Neil in our

:20:14.:20:19.

Plymouth studio earlier. I think they have both got a good

:20:19.:20:22.

chance. I thought yesterday's game was going to be vital, Torquay and

:20:22.:20:25.

Barnet, and I was gutted, I was doing Final Score up in Manchester

:20:25.:20:28.

and I thought they got a great point, Plymouth, only when trey

:20:28.:20:32.

announced the proper results it came out 1-0, it was that late. I

:20:32.:20:35.

was gutted for everybody, because they've done very well of late. I

:20:35.:20:37.

think John has done really well while he's been in charge.

:20:37.:20:40.

The dust has settled on your departure from Leeds, but the

:20:40.:20:43.

question is, what is next for you, bearing in mind you've moved back

:20:44.:20:47.

to your adopted home in Cornwall. Yeah, I've been retiring for about

:20:47.:20:50.

20 years now. It's been one of those things. I think what I'd like

:20:50.:20:53.

to do, I still think there's a massive gap between a manager and

:20:53.:20:57.

the owners of a club, the directors or whatever. I do not like the

:20:57.:21:00.

title director of football, but that sort of position where you can

:21:00.:21:03.

help the manager and you're not a threat to him, because I think all

:21:03.:21:06.

managers now need help. If you look at the Championship, the tenure of

:21:06.:21:16.
:21:16.:21:17.

a manager now is one year four months on average. We put out a

:21:17.:21:20.

note on Twitter when you left Leeds and said, would fans down in the

:21:20.:21:24.

West Country welcome a role for Neil Warnock, and most of them said,

:21:24.:21:27.

absolutely. Are you waiting for that phone to ring and James Brent

:21:27.:21:37.
:21:37.:21:40.

to say, "Come and get involved"? I speak to James quite a lot. I

:21:40.:21:43.

think everybody owes James an awful lot. I think if he hadn't come

:21:43.:21:46.

along, I doubt if there'd have been a Plymouth, that's how important it

:21:46.:21:53.

was. Opening the discussion out, give us an insight into the tension

:21:53.:21:56.

that managers are going to be going through at this stage in the season,

:21:56.:21:59.

whether it's about getting in the play-offs, going up or just staying

:21:59.:22:03.

up. Well, you know I said I did football Final Score on Saturday,

:22:03.:22:06.

and it's the first time for 30 years that I've woke up on a

:22:06.:22:09.

Saturday morning and my stomach that not churning inside out, I

:22:09.:22:12.

cannot eat anything after eight o'clock in the morning on match day

:22:12.:22:14.

until after the game, you're driving to the ground, you're

:22:14.:22:17.

nervous, you have all these superstitions, your poor old family,

:22:17.:22:20.

you try and smile but you're not really listening to them. It's a

:22:20.:22:23.

horrible time of the season, but that's why we're all in it. We're

:22:23.:22:26.

all in it to be there, to get success, and unfortunately, you

:22:26.:22:30.

have to look at your side of the coin, we are all going to get the

:22:30.:22:34.

sack at some stage. You have to do with the elation as well as the

:22:34.:22:40.

disappointment. What advice to the young managers of today, those just

:22:40.:22:50.
:22:50.:22:51.

starting out, and they seem to be getting younger. Eddie Howe will be

:22:51.:22:54.

watching this on the sofa with me. What would you like to say to him?

:22:54.:22:59.

That incredible gamble to go back to Bournemouth. I disagree. I was

:22:59.:23:02.

really pleased he went back to Bournemouth. I didn't think he was

:23:02.:23:05.

happy at Burnley. I watched his body language. Managers, if you're

:23:05.:23:09.

not happy, you can't do your job. His family is there, he knows the

:23:09.:23:12.

chairman, he knows he's got support, he knows the fans love him, and

:23:12.:23:15.

that's a massive plus for a manager. I think the players, it responds on

:23:15.:23:19.

the players. You've got to have humour in the dressing room, and

:23:19.:23:27.

it's a mixture. I see Bournemouth as avery happy club at the moment

:23:27.:23:31.

and that is because Eddie and his staff are very happy. You might say

:23:31.:23:40.

brave but I thought it was the correct decision.

:23:40.:23:45.

He has been a manager for such a long time, and got success at most

:23:45.:23:52.

clubs. He told about stomach- churning stuff, even after all

:23:52.:23:59.

these years. Do you identify with that? Absolutely. It is ready and

:23:59.:24:03.

comfortable and difficult sometimes. It is the best job in the world,

:24:03.:24:11.

but it can be the worst as well. So to the teams at the top, looking

:24:11.:24:14.

for a bit of Warnock-esque promotion magic. We start with a

:24:14.:24:19.

Cheltenham side still chasing an automatic spot.

:24:19.:24:22.

Cheltenham are now certain to be in the play-offs at the very least

:24:22.:24:24.

after defeating already-promoted Gillingham. Michael Hector scoring

:24:24.:24:28.

what Mark Giggs called an outstanding performance. A point

:24:29.:24:33.

for Exeter after three successive defeats. Jamie Reid twice put them

:24:33.:24:37.

in front. Wimbledon came back to equalise on each occasion. Exeter

:24:37.:24:42.

now relying on other results going their way. As a player, the first

:24:42.:24:46.

thing you look out for after a game - how did teams get on in and

:24:46.:24:49.

around us? Now, Jamie Reid does all the right things here, as you'll

:24:49.:24:53.

see. He gets it hard, low across the goalkeeper. Dodgy bounce on a

:24:53.:24:56.

dodgy pitch, but I'll tell you what, that won't bother Exeter. As a

:24:56.:24:59.

defender, I really feel for the rear guard of the Exeter defenders

:24:59.:25:09.
:25:09.:25:09.

here. No real pressure on the Wimbledon player. Look at the

:25:09.:25:12.

reaction, though. The body language of the defenders. One, two, three,

:25:12.:25:22.
:25:22.:25:31.

the net for a third time, but it was disallowed. Jamie Cureton

:25:31.:25:41.
:25:41.:26:07.

It is all to play for. Bradford and Rotherham are playing each other.

:26:07.:26:17.
:26:17.:26:22.

Do what I now for Exeter. Absolutely. Do or die. From the

:26:22.:26:25.

contenders to the sides trying to keep their minds off their summer

:26:25.:26:30.

holidays in League Two's mid table. Oxford halted their run of five

:26:30.:26:33.

without a win. Alfie Potter with the only goal of the match. The

:26:33.:26:42.

poor run has cost them any chance of a play-off spot. Oxford have

:26:42.:26:46.

played at Dagenham three times, and on each occasion, they have been 1-

:26:46.:26:48.

0 winners. Maybe this should've been a two-goal victory. Sean Rigg

:26:48.:26:51.

missed that chance. Bristol Rovers took a point from this mid-table

:26:51.:26:54.

match. John Ward's side have lost only one of their last seven now.

:26:54.:26:57.

Even the Rovers manager admitted this wasn't a classic. Tom Parkes

:26:57.:26:59.

had their best chance. Ward's demanding two victories from

:26:59.:27:09.

Rovers' last two matches. I guess it is all about putting

:27:09.:27:15.

plans in place for next season being a successful stock absolutely.

:27:15.:27:20.

Managers will be tried to get the best teams possible. How do keep

:27:20.:27:26.

teams possible -- how do you keep teams motivated? I think it is

:27:26.:27:33.

about pride. Last but not least, to Guernsey. No, Matt Le Tissier

:27:33.:27:36.

didn't make his debut for his Island, but he was on hand for

:27:36.:27:38.

something very important. Patrice Muamba, the Botlon player who's

:27:38.:27:41.

heart stopped for 70 minutes, has travelled to the Channel Islands to

:27:41.:27:44.

donate a defibrulator. The life- saving equipment could save many

:27:44.:27:54.
:27:54.:27:58.

lives. Matt was helping with the official bit in his official blazer.

:27:58.:28:02.

Eddie Khumbu Warwood promotion to the championship mean for you?

:28:02.:28:08.

would mean an lot for made, but for the time, they would be an

:28:08.:28:13.

achievement. You have been in some very good teams as a play yourself

:28:13.:28:22.

but did not quite make it. squad is very competitive, very

:28:22.:28:29.
