weekend for our clubs. I'm Tony Life's a bowl of Cherries. The whole

story of how Bournemouth celebrated their moment of history, and the man

Heading the other way but with their heads held high. Why Portsmouth are

going down with a massive weight lifted off them.

And we dissect the frantic end to League Two, where one slip could be

curtains for our teams still fighting to stave off relegation

from the Football League. We'll also assess Brighton, Yeovil

and Swindon's play off hopes with my guests - Ady Williams and James

the programme. Tight now, we reflect on a momentous

weekend in League One. Two teams are leaving the division in opposite

directions. Bournemouth are up and Portsmouth down. Two more are

confirmed in the play offs. Reports on all them coming up.

But we start with Championship-bound Bournemouth, where the late kick-off

became the key one as the pieces of a three-way puzzle fell into place

Eight wins in a row now, and promotion. Eddie was typically being

cautious last week, he did not want to tempt fate, but to do it in front

of your home fans, credit where it is due. And what some turned a

risk, really has paid off. Yes. He was a little bit out of his comfort

zone at Burnley, but the experience he gained up there will be

invaluable going into the Championship. The question will

always be about players. Name macro says the squad deserves a chance in

the Championship this season. like to add one or two, but I think

the majority of the squad will go up with us, and we will see where we

will go. The Championship is such a tough league, the size of those

clubs. We will have to worry about but another day. Will they give

those players a chance, or will they may catch quite a few chants

changes? You've got to be loyal to the players. They've gained

promotion, but Eddie knows his stuff. There are some big sides in

the Championship, three coming down from the Premier league, all to play

for. I am sure he has earmarked a few players already.

How much is that change to the Championship? Is Eddie says there,

he is playing a cautiously but he will definitely be adding to his

squad. With other clubs, with they potentially come calling for Eddie?

Not if chairman Eddie Mitchell has his way. I've got his car keys! Is

he really central to the development? I think he is vital. We

all rely on his calmness, his selection, his belief, and I don't

think we could find that anywhere at the moment.

Right now we look at the other end of League One. When Late Kick Off

came on the air three years ago, Portsmouth were in the Premier

League and heading for another FA Cup Final - so you wouldn't have

thought a third relegation in four seasons would be cause for a party.

On Friday night, the long awaited buy-out by the people who really

Portsmouth were relegated on Tuesday, docked ten points on

Saturday, but it didn't really matter. The big thing is the club

being bought by the fans, coming out of administration and being able to

look forward to the future. We have come out of administration, and at

last now we can go forward without any doubts whatsoever. It's going to

be a great new phase for Portsmouth. The figureheads of the Pompey trust

bid were lauded on the field before the game. Coming here today, I think

all of us are very close to tears with the whole atmosphere. It's a

fantastic atmosphere. All the support has been amazing, it's

incredible. How are you feeling about the future? Humbolt, excited,

committed. Ady, the great thing about this

whole Portsmouth thing is that this is the ultimate example but fan

power is still in the game. Absolutely, football is not about

the chairman of the players, it is about the fans. Pompey fans

certainly love their club. Celebrations at Fratton Park and at

Swindon. The on field action coming out now from these teams, starting

with a full house at Fratton and Portsmouth's convincing win.

This must have been one of Portsmouth 's best performances of

the season. Cooper got the ball rolling. Tidy finish, no look out

for David Connelly. He has now scored seven goals since his arrival

in January. Wallace with the third of the game. Afternoons like this

are few and far between. My former club had two wins on the bounce,

secured them a play-off place. They have turned it around. Flint but

Swindon in front while Stevenage had no players sent off. Two more goals,

Roberts and another from Flynn. I would not back against my former

club Swindon. Does it matter who they could face in the play-offs?

Not for me. Here is the table. Yeovil and

Swindon will face each other if the play-offs were tomorrow. I was

getting worried about Swindon. It seemed to be going wrong, and now

it has clicked for them. Just at the right time? I think so. They were

creating a lot of chances and not converting them. Now they are, and

you see yesterday's result was fantastic. This was for against

Crewe. It is frustrating when you create chances and you do not

convert them, but the lads will be absolutely buzzing when things click

into play like that and you start beating teams. I had a word with the

manager Kevin MacDonald. We are not frightened of anybody. It is going

to be difficult, but momentum is going to be key now.

We'd love to try and rest some players, but we do not have any to

rest. So the players have to look after themselves, get the rest as

much as possible and look forward to just having a bit of fun in the

play-off semifinal. A momentous year for Swindon, and looking good for

the play-offs. Particularly when they play at the County ground,

electric atmosphere. Swindon hit form at the right time. Yeovil's

chances of promotion faded when dad Gary lost to suddenly at Oldham in

midweek. But the fact that Yeovil are up but so many so-called bigger

clubs means there is something special at stadium macro. -- stadium

They are really doing well at the moment. You love this club, would

that be fair? Definitely. It's a dream fulfilled. The best thing

about them? Why do you like them? Because they were green. How many

years have you been supporting them? I am 92 now, and I was 14. 68 years

a fan, but he and the faithful had to wait seconds for the winning goal

thing is. Yeovil have one and move up to

fourth place. What about your manager? He is Yeovil through and

that something. As a manager you have all the hopes and dreams of

supporters in that town and of that club. They all want to get somewhere

near the Premiership. For us, for Yeovil Town, the championship is

ever Premiership. A lot of Yeovil fans will remember

the days when they were rest all worked -- when they were rest all

worked of the lower leagues. Manager of the season in league one without

a doubt for me. The budget he is working on and the attendance that

he gets, he has done a phenomenal job. It works if you have some

goalscorers in the, and they have done that this season. To have one

goal scorer is great, but you have to goalscorers as a massive

family. But dad gets the last word on this particular family rivalry.

season for Brighton. Brighter now playing full of confidence. Like

public shellshocked and what a finish this is. Most coaches would

say, hit that with the right food. Great food. -- with the right fit.

This would have been the only downside for what had been dear the

seven fixtures and one more women guaranteed them play-off spot. A

brilliant form and a brilliant afternoon. The ability to score a

great goals with tremendous quality in the finishing. How we passed the

ball and controlled, it was a perfect before football and for

everyone to enjoy. Brayton going very well now.

lads are absolutely buzzing with the result yesterday. Going into the

play-offs I do not think anybody will be wanting to face Brighton.

The stadium sold out, players of excellent quality. I do not think

anyone will want to go there. cracking atmosphere at the game as

well and that can play a part. Bristol City had a respectable draw

up at Hull City. Sean O'Driscoll still demanding excellent

performances from his team, even though all was lost in terms of

relegation. As a manager you have to. It is all about pride now.

Players possibly working to end themselves contract next season.

Disappointment, but prayed, and for the supporters as well.

I have written down here, �18 million wage bill. That will be in

league one. There was definitely -- there will definitely be one or two

leaving. Then there is leaked to relegation issues. Few meals remain

on the fingers of fans. There are still one last pivotal day to come.

Two huge wins this week for Torquay. The home side had Chris toil sent

off. 100% a red card. This is ridiculous, unbelievable here. Keep

your eye on the ball. Torquay not complaining. When you are going

towards the bottom, you do not normally get the luck. Huge result

for Torquay. Bristol Rovers will be the visitors next weekend. Excellent

call. He makes space onto his left foot, textbook finish across the

call. A long way for the away fans to travel, but well worth it.

you rate Plymouth's chancers? could have been done -- they could

have done with more scoring. But their run of wins should be enough

to keep them safe. Aldershot lived to fight another day, although their

chances of staying up are extremely slim. A former team-mate of mine,

Jamie Young, he was named team-mate of the year. A scrappy goal. A home

win would guarantee them promotion, I cannot see Aldershot doing it. Too

little, too late for me. The fans cannot see it happening

either. We spoke to them after the game. Not so much heartache please.

We will still be here. It is what we are made for. It is ever club and we

will keep coming back, every Wii play, we be there.

Torquay and Plymouth are almost safe. A draw should be enough to

secure their place. I think Torquay finally and deservedly got

something. This is one of the best one goals you were never going to

see. The keeper just took their eye off the ball better. You have to

feel for the keeper there, it is in full moment. Goalkeepers in the

modern-day love playing out on pitch. On a Friday morning they will

play and join in enough either side. Does not look like he does.

I want to look at the final day in league two. It is the fixtures for

our teens and the other teams down there. What takes your idea? --

takes your eye they are? The manager said to me yesterday that hopefully

the Torquay players can concentrate. Hopefully Plymouth can get

themselves a result. For me, I think Plymouth will win. A big game for

Aldershot but I do not think they will be in the league next season.

It is going to be very nerve wracking for them all. The last word

on this is going to be from an Aldershot fan, whose club has the

hardest task of staying in the league. He is 99 and told us that he

go to the safe end of league two now, we have action from Oxford,

Bristol Rovers and Wigan. Exeter have missed out, beaten by

Cheltenham, but they have now got just a sniff of a chance of

automatic promotion. The end of the season is not the

time to go one up and run, but it is six matches without a win now for

Exeter and their hopes of reaching the play-offs were ended by

Cheltenham. Cheltenham could still go up automatically, but a play-off

spot looks more likely for them. As for Exeter fans, this was a chance

to reflect on what might have been. I think that the Passion of the

players has gone, personally. I think that the manager has lost his

passion as well. We have a lot of people on the wage bill who do not

always perform to be honest. Hopefully next season we will go

again. Some great technique year. a striker you do not have to get a

buzz when you score goals like this. Oxford is a big club with a big fan

base but they have to look to next season now. Oxford finished the

season -- finished their season against Accrington next week. This

win means that your side are now safe. I am over the men. -- I am

over the moon. A dramatic ending to Barnet's last

ever match at Underhill. There was a chance to equalise in stoppage time.

Grant missed out on the opportunity to earn a point and to help his old

club, Aldershot. Let us have a look at the scenario

at the top. Cheltenham need to beat Bradford at home but they also need

to hope that Rotherham will lose to Aldershot. Exeter and Oxford will

finish in the top half of the table, they cannot reach the

play-offs. That is really going to help them. Probably play-offs for

Cheltenham? The momentum going into that still pretty good. Cheltenham

against Bradford, that is a tough ask. Aldershot are struggling and I

think that Cheltenham will be in the play-offs. For most of the season we

have thought that Exeter are going for the play-offs, they have lost

their last three at home, real downer. To not even make the

play-offs, the proverbial wheels have come off. They will have to be

careful for next season just in case they do not have a little

semi-hangover from being so disappointed the season. With so

many knife edge decisions across English football affecting clubs at

the end of the season, the pressure for the officials to get this right

is immense. From next month, the Hampshire -based company Hawk-Eye

will be enlisted. As an engineer, you feel that it is a week of the

sponsored guilty. -- awaits of responsibility. It takes a lot of

time to build up trust, it takes not much to lose it.
