Hello and welcome to Alexandra Palace for highlights of the 2014

:01:32.:01:38.

Masters. There is always a great buzz when Ronnie O'Sullivan rolls

:01:39.:01:43.

into town. All 1500 tickets were snapped up for his match against

:01:44.:01:47.

Robert Milkins, but first let's show you the best of the action of this

:01:48.:01:56.

afternoon's match between Ding Junhui and Shaun Murphy. There was a

:01:57.:02:00.

power cut here, but when they got going, this was electric. This

:02:01.:02:07.

should be a cracking match. And now he is in business. And Ding leads

:02:08.:02:24.

2-0. He played that beautifully. It's 2-2. Game on! Ah, what a shot

:02:25.:02:34.

he played there. He only needs the yellow. It is a good that under the

:02:35.:02:39.

circumstances. He still trails by 4-3, but he is

:02:40.:02:56.

right back in it. Absolutely amazing. He played it superbly well.

:02:57.:03:10.

Beautifully struck. What a turn around, Shaun Murphy won three

:03:11.:03:13.

frames in a row and he leads 5-4. A great comeback so could Murphy

:03:14.:03:28.

finish off the job? We pick it up in 10. It is Ding to play on a break of

:03:29.:03:31.

39. He missed the canon. He played a

:03:32.:03:38.

canon on to the pink and look where he finished. Well, you don't often

:03:39.:03:45.

see a smile from Ding, but he missed th canon. Let's have a look at this.

:03:46.:03:52.

Had he hit it a little easier, it wouldn't have mattered, he would

:03:53.:03:56.

still have had the red. I mean it is a massive area, the pink. Quarter

:03:57.:04:02.

ball. Half ball. Any sort of contact on it would have been fine, but it

:04:03.:04:15.

is such a mistake. He played that well though. A good shot. It is just

:04:16.:04:25.

a delicate little canon on to the pink, but a wide target. Well,

:04:26.:04:30.

Hawk-Eye will just show you. Full-ball. Half-ball. Anything and

:04:31.:04:36.

it was perfect. Another 46 break. That's what he got the last frame

:04:37.:04:42.

and broke down. Well, I think this red, he looked at the potting angle.

:04:43.:04:47.

He is going to sneak this in past the other red. He will be playing a

:04:48.:04:51.

safety shot. He has got the chance of a good safety with this as well.

:04:52.:04:58.

It is one of those shots maybe the yellow and the brown will come to

:04:59.:05:02.

your rescue if you don't knock it in. The angle might be there. The

:05:03.:05:17.

red is there. The red is in. And even though he is not on the brown,

:05:18.:05:23.

Ding is going to be in all sorts of trouble here. Yeah, a great pot that

:05:24.:05:25.

was. I don't know whether that was a good

:05:26.:05:36.

shot on the brown though. I would have liked to have covered this side

:05:37.:05:41.

that Ding is coming off. I could see him hitting it. The other way would

:05:42.:05:45.

have been a bit more difficult with the pink in the way.

:05:46.:05:53.

Yeah, he left this slightly easier escape. He didn't really give that

:05:54.:06:04.

as much thought as he needed to that roll up behind the brown there. He

:06:05.:06:15.

should have had that angle cut off. A beauty, by the looks of it. Well.

:06:16.:06:29.

Not quite. Almost. Boy, what a shot this will be because if he pots

:06:30.:06:33.

this, he could finish on the black. The white will come right round the

:06:34.:06:38.

table and he won't canon into anything.

:06:39.:06:48.

Well, he did canon the pink and he left Shaun a chance now. One good

:06:49.:06:58.

clean pot, Shaun. It is highly likely that you will finish on a

:06:59.:07:04.

colour even kout doing too much with the cue ball here. Put yourself in

:07:05.:07:12.

the driver's seat. It's there. Beautifully controlled as well. And

:07:13.:07:20.

an angle, I think, is it? He is a bit strange, but he has the cue

:07:21.:07:24.

power to pot this and get up for the yellow, but it is not going to be

:07:25.:07:28.

straightforward! Normally, it wouldn't be a problem. A slight

:07:29.:07:33.

angle, reverse side, you watch the white when it hits a cushion. He

:07:34.:07:41.

didn't quite get enough side on that. It is a tricky little cut back

:07:42.:07:47.

past the green. He is 20 in front. He only needs the yellow and the

:07:48.:07:55.

green and it will be a terrific victory for The Magician. It is

:07:56.:08:05.

there! Well, Ding, I don't think he can believe what happened from 4-2

:08:06.:08:14.

in front it has all slipped away. He can't believe it, but every credit

:08:15.:08:24.

to Shaun Murphy he stuck in there. He will be absolutely over the moon,

:08:25.:08:38.

Shaun Murphy. That's it all over. Ding comes forward. Ding looked like

:08:39.:08:45.

he was going to dominate the match, he head 4-2, but Shaun Murphy has

:08:46.:08:49.

taken the last four frames for victory and he goes through to the

:08:50.:08:54.

quarter-final winning s frames to four. Who would have thought it? All

:08:55.:09:01.

our matches seem, pardon the pun ding-dong matches. When we play each

:09:02.:09:10.

other, our match in Shanghai was a great match and then he went on this

:09:11.:09:15.

mad run of not losing and he is a phenomenal player and that for me

:09:16.:09:19.

and in, you know, in context of my season so far, it is a massive,

:09:20.:09:24.

massive win and I'm over the moon. Ultimately, you know, I will always

:09:25.:09:29.

be searching for this tournament to complete my little triple crown of

:09:30.:09:32.

BBC events, you know, I'm not looking at that just yet. Rome

:09:33.:09:37.

wasn't built in a day. I'm just thankful to be in the next round.

:09:38.:09:42.

What an excellent performance from Shaun Murphy. He will meet Marco Fu

:09:43.:09:55.

in the last match. Now, the next match Robert Milkins

:09:56.:10:01.

and Ronnie O'Sullivan. Look at the fans queuing up. A wonderful

:10:02.:10:07.

atmosphere inside the venue ahead of Ronnie's arrival. Well, The Rocket

:10:08.:10:16.

won the Masters in 1995 beating John Higgins and had to wait another ten

:10:17.:10:22.

years to win it again. Quite a contrast when you consider his

:10:23.:10:26.

opponent, Robert Milkins, making his debut at the Masters. He is ranked

:10:27.:10:31.

13th in the world. He joined the top 16 for the first time in July last

:10:32.:10:40.

year. The Milkman has never beaten The Rocket.

:10:41.:10:49.

I haven't been here before. I haven't played in the Masters

:10:50.:10:54.

before. I'm not really knowing too much what to expect. But I'm looking

:10:55.:10:58.

forward to it. If I can raise my game for this game, I'm sure playing

:10:59.:11:06.

against Ronnie in front of his home supporters, it will be a good

:11:07.:11:12.

atmosphere. Ronnie is one of those players that can get on top of you,

:11:13.:11:17.

you know. He has done it to me in the past and nobody else has done

:11:18.:11:21.

it. You are sat in your seat and you are almost not wanting to come back

:11:22.:11:24.

because you don't want to make a mess up of it again and he has done

:11:25.:11:28.

that against me a couple of times. It is not a nice place to be. But

:11:29.:11:33.

I'm going to try and make a bit more of an effort against him than I did

:11:34.:11:40.

in the UK. I've learned a bit from that. To beat Neil on that stage was

:11:41.:11:50.

massive for me and it was a step in the right direction, but Ronnie is a

:11:51.:11:53.

bit different to Neil. Different sort of game completely. Ronnie is

:11:54.:12:00.

lot for attacking -- more attacking and to beat him would be my greatest

:12:01.:12:06.

ever win. Please welcome a player making his

:12:07.:12:10.

first appearance at the Masters after 19 years as a pro, finally

:12:11.:12:14.

this man's hard work has been rewarded with a climb up to the

:12:15.:12:21.

world's top 16, a four time ranking event semi-finalist with one of the

:12:22.:12:31.

best walk on songs in the sport. He is The Milkman, Robert Milkins.

:12:32.:13:07.

MUSIC: "I'm A Cider Drinker" by The Wurzels.

:13:08.:13:10.

And his opponent, four times a winner of this title, the first of

:13:11.:13:16.

those in 1995 as a teenager, five times he has conquered The Crucible,

:13:17.:13:22.

he is the reigning world champion. Blink and you will miss him, The

:13:23.:13:27.

Rocket, Ronnie O'Sullivan. MUSIC: "A Man Should Better Himself"

:13:28.:13:33.

by George Lam. Cracking atmosphere and one of the

:13:34.:14:00.

Rolling Stones in the crowd. O'Sullivan one the first frame. He

:14:01.:14:06.

is trained by 55 points in the second.

:14:07.:14:20.

That is the perfect safety shot. He has loosened the red and he

:14:21.:14:30.

snookered Robert on all of them. The last time they met, of course, in

:14:31.:14:34.

the UK championship, Ronnie ran out a comfortable win 6-1. This could be

:14:35.:14:45.

a free ball. If the round passes the blue... He may accept the free

:14:46.:14:51.

ball. If he doesn't, he may have it replaced. He is playing for brown.

:14:52.:14:59.

It counts as a red. Then a colour to follow.

:15:00.:15:07.

He needed a little bit more of a pounds than he got.

:15:08.:15:14.

I think he got a fractional kick that slowed the cue ball down.

:15:15.:15:26.

These look easy but they are always tricky. He coped with it well.

:15:27.:15:37.

Six. I am not certain if the white is

:15:38.:15:45.

occupying the black spot. He wants to clear the black spot. Seven. I

:15:46.:15:52.

get the feeling Ronnie O'Sullivan is a shot away from making this a full

:15:53.:15:57.

gone conclusion of a clearance and that is, once again, silly to say

:15:58.:16:04.

that we are so used to him clearing the balls from seemingly impossible

:16:05.:16:07.

positions. A good split of these red...

:16:08.:16:14.

He just wants to get the correct angle on one of the colours before

:16:15.:16:17.

he decides to go into the reds. 14. I was thinking for a minute, it

:16:18.:16:38.

didn't pass the black. It clearly does. 20.

:16:39.:16:50.

If he can just get to the bottom bread, he doesn't even have to break

:16:51.:17:05.

into them. That is inch perfect. 29. If he is the right side of this

:17:06.:17:12.

black... It has just come a bit short. First mistake. He has got to

:17:13.:17:18.

hit this pretty hard to get this across.

:17:19.:17:22.

He is making it look pretty easy so far.

:17:23.:17:28.

Once he puts the red to the middle, he frees the other two reds. It is

:17:29.:17:36.

all about cue ball control and nobody does it better.

:17:37.:17:43.

Little bit short. He will have to go for the blue. He needs a good angle

:17:44.:17:54.

on the blue of this red. 45. That is just about inch perfect.

:17:55.:18:03.

Against normal players, the positional mistakes of Robert

:18:04.:18:10.

Milkins wouldn't have cost him so dearly but he is up against one of

:18:11.:18:14.

the most exceptional snooker players who has ever been and is making

:18:15.:18:15.

light work of this counterattack. Of course, what created this opening

:18:16.:18:28.

was the good safety shot he played when he flicked the red of the

:18:29.:18:31.

cushion, loosened the red and snookered Robert. This is the

:18:32.:18:38.

result. 66.

:18:39.:19:01.

Whilst this is exceptional to look at, it is also very clinical. 71.

:19:02.:19:15.

Superb! Absolutely superb! In the moment Robert Milkins ended his 42,

:19:16.:19:34.

a better one by Ronnie O'Sullivan got the opportunity and he clears up

:19:35.:19:36.

with a break of 84. 2-0. The crowd loving this. He is leading

:19:37.:19:43.

a game. I think he can get around the back

:19:44.:19:53.

of the black. He has got to catch this just right.

:19:54.:19:58.

If he catches it too thick he will hit the blue. If he misses the brand

:19:59.:20:04.

it will be perfect but he didn't. He hit the brown full in the face so

:20:05.:20:07.

here is a chance so close! So close! Unlucky. It

:20:08.:20:21.

couldn't have been any closer and not dropped.

:20:22.:20:28.

He tried to play it positively by playing it slow.

:20:29.:20:40.

Barring complete accidents, it looks like 3-0 here. Eight. Nine.

:20:41.:20:59.

So it is snooker is required. Ronnie 46 points in front, 43 Murnane in --

:21:00.:21:09.

43 remaining. I don't think Robert Milkins will be coming back to the

:21:10.:21:10.

table. It is a tough debut for Robert

:21:11.:21:12.

Milkins. He will obviously have been excited

:21:13.:21:28.

about the prospects and it is never nice when you don't fulfil your

:21:29.:21:33.

potential out there. This man makes it very difficult at the best of

:21:34.:21:34.

times. When they played in the UK

:21:35.:21:48.

championship, Ronnie ran out a 6-0 win. That was the last BBC

:21:49.:21:54.

tournament. Pot success for Ronnie is 91%. 76%

:21:55.:22:12.

Robert Milkins, particularly in his style of game, not good enough.

:22:13.:22:16.

One more frame to pay before the mid-session interval. I feel Robert

:22:17.:22:27.

will be desperate to get it on the board because that is another frame

:22:28.:22:31.

on the board for the Rocket and he now leads Robert Milkins by 3-0.

:22:32.:22:37.

Thank you. The fourth frame. Robert Milkins to break.

:22:38.:22:57.

He will want something for his efforts.

:22:58.:23:16.

Top-class safety shot from Ronnie O'Sullivan. If you got the cue ball

:23:17.:23:24.

a bit further over he would have put Robert Milkins into a knot of

:23:25.:23:28.

trouble. Likewise, a good shot from Robert. At first glance, that has

:23:29.:23:35.

presented a small problem for Ronnie.

:23:36.:23:45.

He got some said on that as well. As Robert Milkins was coming to the

:23:46.:23:56.

table he said, shot! A trademark long part. Beautifully played.

:23:57.:24:10.

Robert Milkins has a sporting attitude. That is a great shot as

:24:11.:24:16.

well. Never frightened to give his opponents praised at the table.

:24:17.:24:23.

His back is against the wall and he is opening up and going for his

:24:24.:24:31.

shots. It would have been handy if that had gone in. It was missable. I

:24:32.:24:44.

think what makes those shots more difficult, because you are not sure

:24:45.:24:49.

whether cue ball is going to finish and you have one eye on what colour

:24:50.:24:52.

you are going to be on but the most important thing is potting the

:24:53.:24:53.

ball. Now he is just going to sit and

:24:54.:25:08.

serve. He has and paste it... No, perfect.

:25:09.:25:30.

You will see this break open up. The black ball is pottable if he gets

:25:31.:25:34.

the correct angle. If you can't shift to read from the

:25:35.:25:49.

black spot, black goes on the blue. 11.

:25:50.:26:06.

12. We are not even at 50 minutes react

:26:07.:26:23.

and we are into the fourth frame. That wipes its feet! Because he hit

:26:24.:26:32.

it too thick, he nearly got an unwanted cannon.

:26:33.:26:38.

If you can get a good angle on the black, he is absolutely inch

:26:39.:26:43.

perfect. I would say the best player in the

:26:44.:26:54.

game for judging the weight of the shot at the moment.

:26:55.:27:15.

He is a bit betwixt and between here. He has got the red below the

:27:16.:27:22.

main pack. No problem, just the cannon of the

:27:23.:28:07.

second red. There is a red available. Whether he can get on

:28:08.:28:13.

that... If not, he may play they can then. -- the cannon.

:28:14.:28:27.

It could have worked out better. I don't care how good you are, when

:28:28.:28:36.

you go for a red new always need a bit of luck.

:28:37.:28:45.

But he is not missing much now, is he?

:28:46.:28:57.

The general level of positional play from Ronnie O'Sullivan at the speed

:28:58.:29:00.

he plays with is phenomenal. 14 seconds a shot. And rarely does he

:29:01.:29:04.

play a bad positional shot. Once again, normal service has been

:29:05.:29:15.

resumed. The canon cannon into that red. He

:29:16.:29:44.

can concentrate on the pink and the blue. 56 points ahead. Just a red

:29:45.:29:50.

and a colour needed to go into the mid-session interval with a 4-0

:29:51.:29:57.

lead. Yes, he is putting on a bit of a masterclass here tonight.

:29:58.:30:12.

Don't think for one minute that that red on the side cushion is going to

:30:13.:30:17.

be a problem in stopping him from making a century break here.

:30:18.:30:28.

Well, he packed the Alexandra Palace this evening. This is spush superb

:30:29.:30:44.

stuff. He looked focussed. He really looked focussed, but to me, he

:30:45.:30:48.

looked focussed since his return at the World Championship last year. He

:30:49.:30:51.

just seems a little bit more into it. I think having that year out. I

:30:52.:30:55.

think he really missed the game and if you played this well, why

:30:56.:31:00.

wouldn't you? But he will need a double and even for Ronnie, these

:31:01.:31:02.

aren't certain. Well, unlucky. He did see the

:31:03.:31:17.

century, but we have seen a wonderful four frames. Robert

:31:18.:31:20.

Milkins had his chances and Ronnie O'Sullivan marches on. The

:31:21.:31:26.

mid-session interval he leads 4-0. The quickest frame of the match so

:31:27.:31:30.

far under nine minutes. Into the second, Ronnie O'Sullivan to play.

:31:31.:31:38.

He has to be careful with the pink here. Oh, he has misjudged this.

:31:39.:31:50.

REFEREE: A miss. Robert can get through to the red just above the

:31:51.:32:02.

black. And the perfect angle on the black should he wish to open up this

:32:03.:32:08.

frame. He couldn't have played it any better. Robert Milkins couldn't

:32:09.:32:17.

have played that any better. He hit the pink perfectly. A bit unlucky

:32:18.:32:23.

how the balls are split. OK, obviously when you play that shot,

:32:24.:32:27.

you are pushing balls towards the black. But look what he has been

:32:28.:32:37.

left with. That wasn't easy. It wasn't so much the pot, the pot was

:32:38.:32:42.

probably OK, but he was trying to control it by playing it softly for

:32:43.:32:46.

the blue. If he hit it harder, it probably would have been an easier

:32:47.:32:48.

pot. A bit of a misjudgement from Ronnie

:32:49.:33:01.

O'Sullivan there. He thought he could get the cue ball further up

:33:02.:33:05.

the table even though sometimes the cue ball can still have a bit of top

:33:06.:33:11.

spin on once it starts to return down the table and that top spin

:33:12.:33:12.

slows it up. A missable blue. His potting has certainly come in in

:33:13.:33:31.

the last few frames. He was down at 20%. It is now up to 60%.

:33:32.:33:43.

He could have played for the black off that red, but it is so crowded

:33:44.:33:48.

around the black spot that he is going to try and clear a few reds

:33:49.:33:58.

from that before playing the black. And even work on the pink which goes

:33:59.:34:01.

into the middle and the corner. Well, a little cannon on the red

:34:02.:34:16.

just above the black. Just to clear a little bit more. Does that go?

:34:17.:34:26.

Yes, it does. Oh, it is perfect. He will be a little bit disappointed

:34:27.:34:30.

with that, leaving himself hampered. He shouldn't miss the black, but he

:34:31.:34:38.

won't want to be hampered and it made him play a poor positional

:34:39.:34:44.

shot. OK, he is on this red to the corner, but it is thinner than he

:34:45.:34:46.

would have liked. He is just hanging on to position

:34:47.:35:02.

here. Trusting to luck somewhat. Once again another missable shot,

:35:03.:35:04.

but he looked in good form. The red to the right corner.

:35:05.:35:21.

Worrying times for Robert Milkins. He is on the brink of 5-0 here.

:35:22.:35:26.

Ronnie O'Sullivan needs a couple of positional shots and he is home and

:35:27.:35:27.

dry. And he managed to control the cue

:35:28.:35:43.

ball and just stopped it short of the red.

:35:44.:35:55.

And now, you would expect him to win the frame. Robert, well he had his

:35:56.:36:03.

chance. He potted the blue and he hit the pink really well, and we

:36:04.:36:09.

have just passed the hour mark. He could have been left with an easier

:36:10.:36:11.

red to continue with. This was it. Everything looked good.

:36:12.:36:26.

And the black looked tied up a little bit, but as it happened, are

:36:27.:36:31.

it would have been available into the right corner, but playing the

:36:32.:36:35.

red he did slowly with the rest just caught it a fraction too thick.

:36:36.:36:47.

Robert Milkins was at 15, and he slowed down a bit, but Ronnie

:36:48.:36:56.

keeping it up at 14. The last hope for Robert Milkins that Ronnie

:36:57.:36:59.

O'Sullivan is out of position on the blue. He left a bit further apart

:37:00.:37:05.

away from this red than he would have liked. You wouldn't expect him

:37:06.:37:16.

to miss this and convert the frame. Hoping beyond hope.

:37:17.:37:28.

Well, he will get another chance. So Ronnie O'Sullivan is back to his

:37:29.:37:37.

seat. 42 points the lead, but there is still 59 remaining. I get the

:37:38.:37:43.

feeling if Ronnie played that shot without having the ball cleaned, he

:37:44.:37:50.

would have potted it. A big shot for Robert Milkins. Ah, it was so close.

:37:51.:37:54.

I think that's the story of the evening so far, it is so near and

:37:55.:38:01.

yet so far. That wasn't a bad shot. He was that close to getting that

:38:02.:38:05.

in. It could have dropped. Just so close. It ducked into the top

:38:06.:38:12.

cushion and could have dropped. Pretty tight pockets. End of frame.

:38:13.:38:18.

5-0 and I don't think there is any way back, Robert Milkins has not

:38:19.:38:22.

shown any type of form tonight that's going to get him back into

:38:23.:38:26.

this match, unless Ronnie O'Sullivan completely takes his foot off the

:38:27.:38:36.

gas. In goes the black. 58 points the lead now. Just 43 remaining. And

:38:37.:38:43.

that will just mean that Robert Milkins will not get back to the

:38:44.:38:53.

table. It was a whitewash in the UK. You wouldn't bet against it in this

:38:54.:39:05.

competition. And just over an hour to get to that 5-0 scoreline.

:39:06.:39:16.

A clever little positional shot he pulled out there. He deliberately

:39:17.:39:22.

played for the yellow in the middle. I wonder if we have seen any other

:39:23.:39:38.

strange positional shots here. It doesn't look like it, but you never

:39:39.:39:40.

know. So in goes the black. It is 5-0.

:39:41.:40:15.

Robert Milkins had a couple of chances and didn't make them and

:40:16.:40:21.

Ronnie O'Sullivan just keeps getting stronger. Just one frame away now

:40:22.:40:28.

from a place in the second round. Ronnie Wood loves it. The crowd

:40:29.:40:32.

getting a lot of satisfaction this evening. Robert Milkins stuck at it

:40:33.:40:37.

and finally got off the mark with a break of 57. The crowd giving him a

:40:38.:40:42.

big cheer as he potted the blue and then he goes on to pot the pink

:40:43.:40:51.

showing his real fighting quality is Robert Milkins. Potting the pink. A

:40:52.:40:56.

very difficult evening for Robert Milkins. So Ronnie O'Sullivan just

:40:57.:41:01.

one frame away from victory and into the next, Robert Milkins is up

:41:02.:41:03.

against it again. A little bit of pressure on this

:41:04.:41:23.

shot, but it looks like he spotted a route in between pink and black and

:41:24.:41:29.

he got enough side spin also to play an excellent safety shot back.

:41:30.:41:34.

Robert Milkins maybe thinking for a moment he was going to attempt to

:41:35.:41:39.

play this as a pot safety. He chose the wiser option.

:41:40.:41:50.

A tempter for Ronnie O'Sullivan. Well, it couldn't have been much

:41:51.:42:12.

closer. A chance now for Robert. And he knocks his one in this. It is not

:42:13.:42:18.

an easy chance to get his second frame on the scoreboard. But he had

:42:19.:42:24.

a nice angle on the pink there. He has one of the reds into play. He

:42:25.:42:28.

has the one along the right and the one along the top cushion, but at

:42:29.:42:33.

least he is still in there with a chance. It would be some one visit

:42:34.:42:54.

clearance here. Awkward bridging. The odds against clearing up with

:42:55.:42:59.

both those reds on the cushions, but it is not impossible.

:43:00.:43:19.

These are tough shots. Particularly if you have to play them with any

:43:20.:43:24.

pace and he can't afford to miss this.

:43:25.:43:35.

I think that was asking for the impossible. Even Robert is laughing

:43:36.:43:46.

at that! We have seen some shots, but that was way out.

:43:47.:44:00.

He cue ball is close to the corner. Robert Milkins is getting help back

:44:01.:44:09.

into this match. No alarm bells are ringing and the moment.

:44:10.:44:27.

19 points ahead and he is looking for these two reds. Not tempted by

:44:28.:44:35.

the double that time. I think if Ronnie O'Sullivan plays

:44:36.:45:02.

the right tactical shots, he will be home and dry. But he has a risky

:45:03.:45:11.

shot here. That was well played. Here. I think you picked up, like I

:45:12.:45:17.

did, I get the feeling Robert Milkins has run his race. He played

:45:18.:45:23.

the red across the top cushion and the odds of getting that were very

:45:24.:45:29.

long. Just this red and a colour and that will be the race ran for Robert

:45:30.:45:37.

Milkins. He could have got easier draws on his debut at the Masters.

:45:38.:45:42.

Not sure what shot he played along that top cushion.

:45:43.:45:51.

It is irrelevant now, I suppose. Just rolling it in May have been an

:45:52.:45:57.

option. I think he played it and he tried to

:45:58.:46:06.

play it at pace. It was all or nothing and Ronnie had just missed a

:46:07.:46:11.

few. He has missed their but Robert Milkins game wasn't good enough. A

:46:12.:46:16.

standing ovation from a rolling stone for Ronnie O'Sullivan. He goes

:46:17.:46:22.

through to the second round with a few mistakes but looking good early

:46:23.:46:23.

on. He was our winner 6-1. I made a few mistakes but on the

:46:24.:46:36.

whole I felt pretty solid to night. I just had to wait and be patient,

:46:37.:46:40.

get some chances. Ronnie didn't play as well as he did

:46:41.:46:45.

in the UK. I was surprised I was getting chances but I didn't really

:46:46.:46:50.

do myself justice and I choked a bit, really, with the Masters. The

:46:51.:46:57.

atmosphere there was something different, one table in front of all

:46:58.:47:00.

those people. Playing Ronnie as well. I just didn't do myself

:47:01.:47:06.

justice at all. They are all top quality players in

:47:07.:47:11.

this tournament and any tournament, whoever is on their game will

:47:12.:47:14.

probably go on and win the title so it is just a matter of form.

:47:15.:47:21.

Well placed Ronnie O'Sullivan. Let us just showed you how the draw is

:47:22.:47:25.

looking. Mark Selby is through and will play John Higgins in the last

:47:26.:47:32.

eight. Marco Fu beat Judd Trump and he will they Shaun Murphy. The UK

:47:33.:47:41.

champion, Neil Robertson, plays Mark Allen tomorrow for the right to play

:47:42.:47:43.

Stephen Maguire. The Rocket is also through after a

:47:44.:47:50.

stunning win over Robert Milkins. Hazel is next with extended

:47:51.:48:05.

highlights. Then we are back at one o'clock here on BBC Two. We will see

:48:06.:48:12.

Neil Robertson taking on Mark Allen. Lots of snooker ahead. See you then.

:48:13.:48:18.

I for now. -- by for now.
